Amway Rule: No TV Watching Allowed

Our Amway Emerald distributor once used a whiteboard where he drew a quadrant based on how much TV IBO’s were allowed to watch. All new IBO’s - or maybe it was IBO’s under 2500 pin levels - were in the square where no TV watching was allowed.

I’m not a big TV watcher but I do like a couple of reality shows. The only other TV viewing is the 6pm news if I’m home and almost always the 11pm news.

I probably watch 10 to 15 hours of TV a week so I’m not much of a watcher. Ironic numbers isn’t it. I’m sure any IBO would say I could take those same 10 to 15 hours I spend watching TV each week and turn it into earning $100,000/year.

Yeah, right, been down that road a couple of turns.

Nothing any fucking asshole in the Amway upline said to me was going to change my TV habits. Ambot would sometimes walk into the room when I was watching Survivor or Big Brother and sneer at me something to the effect of how is watching that show going to make me money. Here is a good time to point out that Ambot watches more TV than I do. He likes watching what he calls adult animation. I call them as I see them. Cartoons. How is watching Southpark or the Simpson’s making him money in his Amway business?

Getting back to that quadrant for the life of me I don’t recall what pin levels the Emerald put in each quadrant. I was only shown his expert mathematical equation once. Wherever he was as an Emerald he was allowed most of his free time to be spent watching TV. I guess what was never determined was how much free time he has in a week.

The bigger picture is the real reason the Amway upline don’t want IBO’s watching TV is because they want to control the information sources their downline IBO’s receive. Any news or current affairs or stock market advice the IBO’s receive should all be coming from their upline.

You upline bastards can say whatever you want about watching TV. I watch less than TV than most of you and I’m not going to stop. At least if I’m home watching TV I’m not losing money throwing away $10 going to an Amway meeting to listen to the latest bullshit.

  1. Funny you mentioned The Simpsons. In one episode, they threw a desperate Ambot out of an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, where he was trying to peddle a cleaning solvent. Even in Springfield they have sense to steer clear of Amway.

At the same time, in one previous post, you mentioned children left in hotel rooms at big Amway events. They were supposed to entertain themselves with TV, and could thus learn real news instead of the BS upline interpretation. Thus, there is the opportunity to resist indoctrination into the cult.

    1. LOL Anonymous- that’s too funny on the Simpsons and tossing out the Ambot! That sounds like a good one to watch. There was an episode of Hawaii 5-0 about a pyramid scheme that was flogging cosmetics. Could have been based on Amway maybe Mary Kay but definitely shady Amway stuff was going on in the sales pitch and the money scammed from victims.

The problem Amway Ambots have with leaving kids alone in hotel room with TV as a babysitter is it’s against the law pretty much everywhere but Amway losers are comfortable breaking the law anyway. The bigger issue is most kids don’t stay in the room.

  2. The big thing is information deprivation. Amway assholes also don't want you to read newspapers, or any books that aren't connected with the Amway business. The simple fact is that Amway up-line is terrified over the information explosion that has occurred as a result of computers and the internet. They can't control the flow of commentary and debate, and so the only option they have is to prevent IBOs from connecting with outside sources of material.

But quite frankly, you can't prevent people from looking things up on the internet. It's just too convenient! Amway is in the absurd position of proclaiming to its members that on-line business is "the wave of the future," while at the same telling warning them not to use their computers. How insane is THAT?

There is no question that Amway's sales collapse over the last ten years was stimulated by internet discussion of the faults and flaws in all MLM operations (not just Amway's). Potential recruits weren't getting the real story from Amway shills, so naturally they went on-line to find out the real facts. The horrific anecdotes posted by ex-Amway members were very powerful disincentives to anybody who was thinking about signing up in Amway or any of its little LOS subsystems.

I've noticed, over the years, that pro-Amway partisans who come to this blog (or to others like Joe Cool's or Dr. Doe's) frequently rant and rage that the persons running the blogs should "stop," or "give up," or "cease," or "do something else." That sort of word-choice is revealing. Why should they care one way or another about what is said here on the anti-MLM blogs? Why do they give a shit? Why don't they just ignore us and go out and recruit new IBOs at Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, or wherever else they do their stalking? Isn't that what Amway is all about -- focusing on recruitment?

The plain fact is that they can't control information anymore. And they are enraged over this new obstacle. That's why they keep screaming that Anna Banana should "stop."

    1. Hi Anonymous. Thanks for all the insight!

Amway is full of all kinds of contradictions. At cult meetings we were told Amway is an online business and the cult leaders would do all kinds of comparisons with Amazon. Sheer stupidity to compare a cult to the worlds largest online retailer LOL! That’s Amway arrogance for you. And at the same time Amway cult leaders would order us to reduce our online presence.

As for the Amway assholes that show up here issuing orders like stop blogging and close down the blog it’s because they’re outraged that we share our true experiences and hope we can save others from being recruited into the Amway cult. Also about the whole issuing orders thing - at Amway meetings the cult leaders brainwash the Ambots to believe that they’re better than everyone else in the world. And they’re also brainwashed to believe they’ll be rich and the rest of the world will be their servants who will jump to obey when Asshole Ambot issues orders. Yeah around here we’re good at bursting that Amway fairytale!

  3. I was associated with BWW during my amway days and a prominent double diamond would say "if you watch TV, you won't get PV".
I now wonder how attending Amway cult functions got us PV. We were also told not to watch the news and not to use facebook, except for chatting up old friends to get their numbers. We were told to stop talking to people who are not interested in amway. It's exactly like a cult. Who the fuck are they to tell us what to do and what not to do. Yet they call themselves 'independant' business owners. More like unpaid consumers of worthless amway junk that no one else is interested in.

I feel sorry for the 'core' Ambots who are going waste many years, probably decades of their lives for nothing.

    1. Anonymous- those Ambots have an answer for everything. Watch TV = no PV? Well at least when you’re watching TV you’re not wasting time and money on anything Amway.

Yeah how “independent” are these “independent business owners” anyway when their Amway upline controls their lives more than their boss at work does.

  4. It's funny but during recruitment you are told "the internet has a lot of bad things to say about Amway". But then the people doing the truth-telling are called "losers" "dream stealers" and Ambots say "that's the way it should be" in regards to their being lots of bad information on the internet...they have to find a way to justify it, so far as saying that its a good thing lol.

    1. Anonymous- Amway Ambots are too brainwashed to tell the difference between the truth and negative. Anyone who has a different experience or different opinion than their Amway cult leader is labeled negative. Those Ambot bastards can’t handle the truth because it’ll burst the land of make believe they live in.

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!

If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. Gets checked occasionally. We’ll get to you eventually and approve it as long as it really isn’t spam.
