You know if you're going to get up at 2am to see something it might as well be something good. You know like George Clooney. Rose Bowl Parade. Getting in line for Black Friday sales.....

30, 40 years later they're still saying the same thing at Amway meetings! There is never any training or business advice at Amway meetings. Just look at how rich I am now. Or dumb ass advice like the cars you drive and the clothes you wear. I'm with you. What little I recall about Family Reunion is WAAAYYYYY too much.Anna Bananahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05373457126465029723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2623443549536997676.post-30283777066810985962014-07-10T10:33:12.532-07:002014-07-10T10:33:12.532-07:00Family Reunion! We went to one back in the 70s. ...Family Reunion! We went to one back in the 70s. It was held in a town about 4 hours' drive from us, so we got up at 2 AM and embarked on a road trip with our sponsors and I think another upline couple (none of them direct distributors). Well, it was a nightmare. Sitting in a big room on padded chairs, listening to couple after couple say basically the same thing. "We were poor! I had a J-O-B! We planned our work and worked our plan, and now we're standing up here fabulously wealthy!" In what universe does that help you learn how to sponsor people, or sell soap, or ANYTHING?

Even the guests of honor, the first-ever "Crown Ambassador" couple, said the same exact thing. The wife told how she resisted Amway at first, but now was glad she gave in, because otherwise "the woman standing here would be saying 'After [husband] got rid of [wife] and married ME' --" big roar from the crowd here "-- 'we became successful'." That is the ONLY detail I remember from that entire weekend, mostly because I was so sleepy I was practically in a coma. I seem to remember being at a super-creepy "church service" at the venue... but practically nothing else about it.

I suppose I could recover the memory of Family Reunion under hypnosis, but I don't know why I would ever want to do that. What little I recall is too much.snazzzybirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04174919458387250837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2623443549536997676.post-21814040494881524282014-07-08T08:36:48.890-07:002014-07-08T08:36:48.890-07:00Your girlfriend sounds cool at least...Your girlfriend sounds cool at least...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
