My story of what its like to be married to an Amway cult follower. I expose the lies that our upline told and what happens at Amway meetings and functions. I leave the explanations of why Amway is a poor business opportunity or the tool scam to other bloggers. This blog mainly exists to curse out my former upline, aka the cult leaders, and to let everyone know what kind of idiots I had to put up with. Feel free to join in or live vicariously!

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!
If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. Gets checked occasionally. We’ll get to you eventually and approve it as long as it really isn’t spam.
Hey anna, used to hate your blog just a few months ago now i hate amway and am done with the cult. I live in Spokane and family reunion function is this coming weekend and my upline platinum sent a communikate message about FED tickets before we have even had our function for family reunion. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou weren't Fagna from Spokane a couple of weeks ago posting on a blog from February about Spring Leadership with some canned Amspeak bullshit pointing out the obvious?
DeleteI can never figure out why someone who hates this blog would read it and comment. And when I say someone I mean Amway Ambots. If I end up at a blog that is clearly something I won't like I'm like holy shit I'm outta here. I don't leave a comment and I don't go back and read. I can never figure out why Ambots (or anyone else) would keep going back to read a blog they don't like.
Most people love this blog. They were in similar situations or currently in a bad situation with their significant other stuck in the Amway cult and come here for support or to be entertained.
Yup the sack of shit Platinum always wants payment for the next Scamway function even though the current one still hasn't happened or is still going on.
I remember clearly getting those Kates about the next function before or right after the latest one had ended. In the seven years I was in Amway I only went to two functions. One FED and one Spring Leadership (WWDB). You are spot on in that they were both exactly the same. Looking back, I was not taught anything new. Just "pumped" with "positive". And $100 poorer.
ReplyDeleteWilliam - so much for Kate being a "personal assistant". All it does is bring bad news from the assholes in the Amway upline who want more money off you. LOL! 7 years is a long time to spend inside the Amway cult. You'd think you'd be on your way to being a lifer. And only going to 2 functions you must have been on the upline's shit list for sure! They never teach you anything in Amway. And no I don't consider buy more Amway shit and invest more money in the Amway tool scam as teaching. Scamming maybe! As for being pumped with positive, people in Amway are the most negative people I've ever met in my life. They're really nasty miserable bastards. And judging by the comments these evil ambots leave on my blog nothing ever changes in Amway.
DeleteGod damn am I lucky to have at least half of a brain. I am at a pretty low point in my life, and I was approached at Mexican food restaurant by someone I grew up with in my neighborhood. He told me about a "business opportunity". I should have known better, but out of desperation, I went to the 8 o'clock meeting at his home on a Sunday night.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing these guys haven't changed a thing in almost 60 years. The "presentation" was a carbon copy of every other "presentation" that countless others on this blog have experienced. The Diamond conducting this shit show even started shilling for FED at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA before he made the semi-calculated risk of mentioning the name Amway. Funny thing is the price is exactly the same as mentioned elsewhere, at $125.
When the meeting concluded at 1:30 AM, I was given more books to read, CD's to listen to and the Amway catalogs. I am a meticulous and thorough person. Thank fuck. I combed through the literature and figured out the lame ass products were so overpriced NO ONE with a pulse would buy them. I recognized right away the money was in the tools. Too bad for Amway I actually paid attention in Economics at a REAL University.
The thing that amused me most were the audio recordings. With the exception of one Diamond couple, each story was exactly the same. The common thread I'm sure the Ambots miss is that almost each Diamond speaker was pretty well off before they joined Amway. I figured out quickly why these folks are Diamonds. Because they had the money to lose for years of playing pretend business before "qualifying" for a cut of the tool money.
I subsequently went to a coffee meeting with the upline Ambot, and I flat out called him out. I told him I recognized the money will never be made from the catalog, only from tools. I also advised him how similar the Diamond stories were. This dude is so brainwashed he never responded to each of those points and just said he would keep sending me audios until "I get it".
He can send audios until kingdome come, but, no matter how desperate I may be, I will never whore myself out to a company or spend a dime within a company predicated on bullshit, lies and reverse psychology. There will be one less Ambot inflicted upon the world.
Hi Ryan. Thanks for stopping by with your story. And you're right. Amway and their way of scamming prospects to sign up hasn't changed over the years.
DeleteThey're still Amway warriors heading off to battle at 8pm.
The presentations may change slightly like the dollar amount will keep going up. Seeings as how very few actually make money they can throw out however many bazillions of dollars in residual income will be rolling in from Amway every month.
And no one will buy those overpriced shitty Amway products. An ambot will get a few pity purchases from friends and family but after awhile these people will avoid him and no more sales. Which means he'll be in for a shit kicking from the assholes in his Amway upline because they all make commission on everything the low guy on the pyramid makes.
The money flows up the pyramid. Never down.
Yup they always have the same stories maybe told slightly differently. Guess they got to coordinate before they get on stage what fairy tales they're telling that night.
But good on you for figuring out its a scam and the only people making money are the ones selling the tools. And very few lower level ambots will ever make it to that level. The ambots at the top of the pyramid don't want too many cutting into their profits.
People in Amway are prudes. Next time one of them bugs you - tell him you're looking for investors in a gay porno flick you're producing and that'll pretty much guarantee you won't hear from him again! LOL!
