A reader shares what its
like getting pestered by Amway ambots on campus.
This happened to me before. In my case, they didn’t mention the name and i got
sucked into a meeting.
I didn’t get sucked in but almost so I can only agree with some of the things
here. The first time I got introduced to it, I was a freshman in college. The
girl who gave he info was like a waterfall. I stood underneath it and
continuously poured info nonstop barely stopping for a question I squeezed in.
That was the first flag.
I went to a meeting of theirs. First thing I noticed was that the girl had
aggressively messaged me to go and I had since I had finished everything that
was needed of me and I had nothing else to do. Second red flag.
The meeting was intense. When the top upline of the town came in, some people
were cheering as if their favorite sports team won something or their favorite
singer came in. Basically at the top of their lungs. 3rd red flag.
I basically wanted to leave. AS far as they were concerned, they were avoiding
to say the name of the company. They tried to get my credit card info to get me
to buy their stuff and immediately join. So, I told them I had something to do
in the way so I left back to my dorm.
That was the end of that. I still see some of the people at my university (they
were also college students) pitching the Amway message. I kind of feel pity as
their expressions expressed insecurity and desperation for money. But someday
they could rise out of their hole. Now everything, I get a message on facebook,
I just delete them just because its annoying as hell. I am certainly not making
the first mistake again.
Btw, this is in New Jersey. My college Rutgers has these people like other
universities that do this. All of my friends just ignore them. Best leave it
that way.
What's ironic about this is that Amway freaks are trying to recruit on college campuses, but they are also telling potential IBOs that a college education is worthless.
ReplyDeleteThat's like going to a barbecue and telling everyone that they ought to be vegans.
Anonymous - Amway Ambots are 2 faced lying hypocrites.
DeleteAmbots make fun over people wasting their money on education and then they show up here screeching at us for not being educated LOL!
No different than Ambots who show up here saying we didn't work hard enough at Amway but every Amway Diamond on the stage says Amway is so easy any dumb fuck can do it.
Great now I'm craving barbecue.
Amway is trying to recruit on campuses because these places are filled with young, inexperienced, and naive teenagers. They know that most of these kids are unemployed, and worried about the future.
ReplyDeleteThese students are perfect victims for Amway predators, with their glad-handing, back-slapping bullshit and love-bombing.
Anonymous - there's that. Amway the Cult of Greed reels in young prospects with the lure of bazillions of dollars rolling in every month from Amway so they can retire at age 21 and sit back do nothing for the rest of their lives.
DeleteLike all scams. If it sounds too good to be true - get a clue buddy. It's a scam!
Most of the obnoxious Amway losers who leave comments here are probably in the late teens early 20s age range. Perfect pickings for the Amway cult because they're too young to have heard about the scam before. Pick up your phone and do a search!
