One of our readers provides us with insight on worshipping heroes. And that does not include Amway losers! He tries to figure out Ambot’s obsession with worshipping those fucking Amway losers though!
There seems to be some kind of "hero worship"
involved in the relationship of an Amway IBO to his up-line. If we think of
somebody as our hero, then we will put up with all kinds of lies and abuse from
them.
What causes hero worship? As far as I can see, it's one of the following:
1) You admire what the person has accomplished.
2) You are grateful to the person for helping you.
3) You think that the person is superior to you in some important way.
4) You have developed some sort of romantic attachment to the person.
5) You believe that the person has something very important to give you or
teach you.
I don't see how any of these things could have been the case with your Ambot
and the stupid schmuck who was his up-line, or with your fat-assed lying
Platinum. So why would he look upon these guys as heroic? Consider:
1) They never really accomplished anything.
2) They never really helped him.
3) They certainly weren't superior to him.
4) They didn't have a romantic relationship with him.
5) They never gave him anything, or taught him anything useful.
So what's up here? Why was Ambot mesmerized by these jerks?
And that is the million dollar question that me and every woman married to an Ambot are desperate to know the answer.
I think there is a very deep psychological need in many people to have someone or something that they can trust in and believe in. Amway lives on this need, the same way that vampires live on blood.
ReplyDeleteThat's right Anonymous. A good cult leader will figure out what someone wants in their life and offer them the solution or salvation they crave.
DeleteYou know what's even stranger? Why would an IBO "hero-worship" an up-line that mocks him and abuses him and treats him like a slave?
ReplyDeleteThe normal human reaction to being treated badly is to hate the person doing it to you. Only psychological masochists enjoy being hurt and beaten.
There's some kind of sick religious thing going on in Amway. In the Bible, Job says this about God: "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him," when he is hit with all kinds of miseries. That seems to be what an IBO says when his Amway up-line treats him like shit and rips him off.
I totally agree Anonymous. If I'm putting up with abuse from someone I'll tell them to fuck off and drop the asshole.
DeleteBut then I've never been brainwashed into a cult.
Psychological masochists. That's a good one. Interesting theory in how it relates to people who get sucked into cults and put up with abuse from the cult leaders.
