The idea that you should spend $1000 per month on a
"business" that doesn't return a profit to you is utterly insane.
Sure, it's true that in starting a business there is an initial outlay of
money, and losses will be sustained for some time in the beginning. That's
normal.
But losing $1000 a month for years and years? Buying crappy Amway products that
you can't sell to anyone? Going to meaningless functions and night owls on a
regular basis? Listening to stupid tapes and CDs endlessly? You call this a
serious business?
Amway isn't a business. It's one big fantasy festival.
Also, the claim that if you follow your up-line's directions exactly you are
bound to succeed, is A TOTAL FUCKING LIE. Thousands of IBOs have done
everything in Amway according to "the Plan," and they still never saw
a profit! In fact it is 99% who fail, according to Amway's own figures.
Does Amway claim that 99% of persons joining the scheme are too stupid to
follow directions? Did all of those people make irreparable mistakes? Is every
failed IBO lazy or unmotivated or disobedient?
The figures are damning. If 99% of people involved in a "business"
fail at it, then something is very wrong with that "business."
Let's see if some stupid Amway freak shows up to try and argue the question.
Amway, like all MLMs, appeals to people's sense of fantasy, and not to their hard business sense. If people actually considered how insanely implausible the entire Amway idea is, of getting rich by spending $300 a month to get a ten-buck refund check, and eating one energy bar and one energy drink a day, they would NEVER dream of signing up in such a dumb racket.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - Amway and all MLM scams are fantasies and dreaming what it's like to be rich once the bazillions of dollars in residual income rolls in every month. It's like fantasizing winning the Powerball and what to do with $80 million or $300 million. The difference is Ambots believe their fairy tale whereas most people buying lottery tickets don't have that same bravado that they bought the winning ticket.
