Another Former Amway Employee Dishes On How It Is

I always like hearing from former Amway employees. Love this one who talks about the drivel he heard from the Amway speakers. Drivel? He’s too kind. Around here we refer to it as bullshit from the stage. I can see how it would be really tough to take an entire weekend’s worth of bullshit from an Amway convention and try to condense it into an hour or so’s worth of a tape that can be sold to the brainwashed ambots. I mean those bullshitters on the stage at Amway conventions all say the same thing. Maybe slightly differently. You get one husband and wife team he worked at a gas station and she works as a waitress. The next husband and wife team he cleans portapotties and she works as a cashier. The rest of their stories are the same. A dear friend showed them the Amway plan, they borrowed money to get gas in the car to get to their first Amway convention, and now here they are with bazillions of dollars rolling in every month from Amway.

Yup the real money to be made is from the tools. Who gets to profit share in the tool scam money? The Diamonds. They don’t really want other IBO’s getting to Diamond no matter how much they lie and gush about how they want you to stand on the stage with them. Cause if you’re standing on the stage with them that means you get some of the profits from the tools and that’s less piece of the pie for the longtimers.

First, I’m happy to see you’re not intimidated by the dain-brammaged Am-Wankers. In the seventies, I was hired by an Emerald to distill an entire weekend, yes..Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday..into a ninety-minute cassette tape, those pushed upon subordinates by the ‘uplines’. Editing all that drivel into something palatable was a real job, as I couldn’t distinguish between ‘information’ and babbling..especially after listening to the Charlotte Diamonds drone on about nothing for hours. It all sounded like horse-hockey, and was. That said, it was evident to me, an outsider, where the real money was generated...and it wasn’t in the product, but the ‘tools’...an exaggeration to be sure. ‘TOOLS?’ The only ‘tool’ I saw was a Diamond Direct lying through her teeth. (Both of them) It was an experience I would not want to repeat, but I’m wiser for the experience. It’s truly sad, and immoral, to monetarily rape the innocent, and those involved should be ashamed. They’re not, and more’s the pity...greed-heads, all.

  1. I'm glad the truth is starting to come out concerning the things that Amway calls "tools." These tapes or CDs are nothing but recycled speeches and assorted bullshit-spouting from the various "functions" (big conventions) that are run by the AMO subsystems.

If you've ever been to a function, you know that it is nothing but a fantasy-festival, composed of cheering, shouting, screaming, and endless speeches made by Amway big pins. Nothing of any practical business importance is said. A real business convention would have a list of scheduled speakers and their lecture topics, discussions groups for follow-up, printed material for distribution, and a question-and-answer session after every speech. None of these things happen at an Amway function.

If you get your up-line alone at a bar, and buy him a few drinks, you'll get him to admit that "functions" serve only three purposes:

    1. To collect ticket fees from the IBOs who attend.
    2. To "fire up" the attending IBOs with energy and determination to remain in Amway, so that they will pay their monthly dues, and recruit new members.
    3. To tape material from the various speeches given, so that it can then be edited and used as "tools" for IBOs to purchase and read.

That's it -- nothing else. If you spend the considerable sum of cash required for these annual functions, you are simply flushing money down the toilet.

    1. Thanks for summing that up Anonymous. And yup those are the 3 reasons why Amway cult leaders host functions. It's to make themselves richer. It would be highly unlikely for any Ambot attending a ScAmway function to have an increase in sales or downline afterwards. Though they'll be fired up for a few days thinking those fantasies are possible.

    2. You're right; especially with Number 1. Before rent, it was easy to take at least $300,000 - $500,000 (3,000 - 5,000 IBOs) on four weekends a year from just four events in my AMO. That's not even counting when we were split up more regionally for two of those events a year to make it easier for some people to travel. That adds more money to the coffers.

And I was in URA / URAssociation / UR Association which charged $93 a ticket when I was in. And that was far less than what others charge. Imagine how much the larger AMOs are raking in.

IBOs are a cash cow to the AMOs. Nothing more. Nothing less. And that's before you get into BV/PV. If one is reading this and is a current IBO, I wish they would flush out the euphoria and to the match and then scale it out. It will blow your mind as to how much money is flowing to Upline.

    3. Anonymous - yup the money flows up on the Amway pyramid. Those at the top who got in many years ago are making money by scamming the poor suckers in their downline that they too can be rich one day and walking across the stage.

  2. I'm guessing that the OP (Thank you for sharing your story...we need to hear more from others!) was part of the Yager Organization since they were huge in the Charlotte area. Ironically enough, they were made to look like absolute scam artists and cult members on a 60 Minutes segment many years ago.

    1. Anonymous - it's not hard to make Amway losers look like scammers. They're naturals! LOL!

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!

If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. There's over 1000 spam comments left here each month. We don't check them. We just delete them. If your comment landed in spam - sucks to be you!
