A reader attends their first Amway FED Free Enterprise Days and sums it up quickly:
I clearly remember my first(and last) FED, where many first time attendees were leaving the auditorium half way through. They seemed bored as fuck. I mean, who wants to sit through 6 hours of “Are you excited?”, “If we can do it,you can do it too!” and “We love you and want to see you at diamond club” bullshit.
Ambots rushing to the stage to high five the speakers, and the constant cheering and wooing was really fucking lame.
Man, everytime I remember the wooing and cheering, it makes me wanna puke. The whole energy inside the auditorium was repulsive and phony. Yuck!
Lots of the attendees at an Amway "function" are bored shitless, and will leave after a while. But others will stay (even if they are secretly bored) and listen through the entire parade of Diamonds and bullshit. In fact, they'll stay for the whole damned weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhy? Simple -- for them Amway is a religion, and they have a fixation on obedience to their religious faith. It's certainly the same every Sunday in church, when many of the people in the pews are bored shitless and want to go home, but stay because of religious loyalty.
Anonymous - I don't don't know about the brainwashed Ambots in the room - but I can tell you I was bored shitless at every Amway meeting I attended. And I had no qualms about going outside for a walk or to scrounge up food. I had zero interest in staying in the auditorium and listening to the twisted religious teachings of the Amway cult.
