When It Comes To Amway Is The Message Loud And Clear?

A few years ago Ambot and I were eating at a restaurant and three motorcyclists pulled into the parking lot. One of the bikers had a spike instead of a back seat behind him. Or maybe it was 3 spikes, I don’t really remember. Doesn’t matter either way. That message was loud and clear: “No passengers!”

How about the messages we got from our upline? Were they loud and clear?

Every Amway meeting we attended whether it was at someone’s house or an auditorium our sponsor and upline would be hanging around with cell phones plastered to their ears or sending text messages. They’d glance at us and turn their backs. The message is loud and clear: “The other end of my phone is more important than you!”

How loud and clear was it when our arrogant prick sponsor said that even if you don’t make money at Amway you will be a better person from the associations you make from the Amway business and be a better person. And that fucker wasn't the only one who said shit like that.

I mean what the fuck? Why would I want to become a business owner to not make money? Why do I want to become a better person from associating with people in the Amway business? I can become a better person by volunteering at the hospital. And maybe I’m about as nice a person right now as I’ll ever be. I don’t need Amway to show me any more sickening nicey nice.

Is this line our sponsor used loud and clear? “We’ve got something that’s recession proof, are you interested, we can go for coffee.”

No that ain’t loud and clear. Its pretty vague. And I don’t like coffee so fuck off.

How this for another Amway line? “I can’t promise you nothing but would the potential of an extra 70 grand a year interest you?”

Well yeah most people would be interested in an extra 70 grand a year. But the most honest thing you said was not promising nothing. That part comes through loud and clear to me. Nothing in Amway is still nothing except for a whole lot of debt.

How about when our sponsor insulted a prospect of Ambot’s because he’s 45 years old but due to his age he’s a hard sell due to his previous knowledge of Amway.

That’s loud and clear to me too. If the prospect (who is younger than Ambot) is “too old” at 45 THEN SO IS AMBOT!!!!

How come the arrogant prick sponsor isn't getting my message loud and clear? I don't like you and I don't want nothing to do with you motherfucker!!! How have I failed at communicating that to the arrogant prick all these years??? Or is he just that fucking dense? Or is he nothing more than a fucking troublemaker accelerated by Amway.

One thing that is loud and clear to me is the number of bloggers and commenters who take to the Internet getting their story out there. Hopefully Amway recruits are doing some research before they plunk down their $150 registration/starter kit fee (edit to add I hear it costs around $170 now maybe more). It seems that more people do their research after they’ve been involved in Amway for awhile and aren’t making any money to see if there is actually any hope at this business. And then they see it. Story and story about people who have lost money, lost their homes, got into huge debt, divorces all thanks to their involvement in Amway.

The message is loud and clear. Stay away from Amway. It will poison your life.

  1. Anna, it's more like $250 to $350 these days because not only do you pay the Amway fee to "start your business", you also have to enroll in your recurring monthly AMO membership and you have to buy your conference ticket to the next major quarterly conference. Upline gets all that non-Amway fee money up front in order to lock you in to the system.

And speaking of the system, the next meeting is to set up your Ditto and there goes another $300 to $900 (depending on how much PV your AMO wants to again lock in (100 to 300 PV)). So right out of the gate in two meetings, you're at least $500 to $1,000 or more in the hole.

And people won't even come close to making that amount during their first year in Amway; let-alone their entire time "in the business".

    1. Anonymous - it's the first dishonest thing the Amway upline does to a new recruit. Not disclose all the hidden costs so that it costs upwards of $700 a month to belong to Amway's expensive social club. Over 99% of Amway participants lose money in the scam so you're right the Ambot will never earn back the money it cost them to be in "the business".

  2. The back section of a motorcycle where someone can sit is called "the bitch seat" (it usually accommodates a female pickup or a girlfriend). If the guy had spikes on it, he probably was a very unsociable and unfriendly type.

In Amway, up-line is always sending nasty, impolite, and denigrating messages to down-line IBOs. Deliberately turning away from people while you are talking on your goddamned cellphone is a perfect example -- it says "I've got better things to do than deal with you."

The crap about Amway "making you a better person" is a way to shame you into not quitting, even if you go broke. Amway isn't a church -- it's supposed to be a BUSINESS!

Up-line knows that the easiest type of person to recruit in the Amway racket is a silly, young, inexperienced loser who doesn't know a thing about finances or proper business procedure. Older persons are sharper and more perceptive.

Amway is just one lie and falsehood and trick and phony-baloney propaganda shpiel after another.

    1. Anonymous - Amway Ambots are so full of self importance because they're big shot hot shit "business owners" and they've got better things to do than deal with lowly underlings.

Maybe younger minds are easier to brainwash that you're an automatic "business owner" without going through the normal steps real business owners take when setting up shop. And that's because they don't know about finance and business procedures so they're easier to scam. Amway has some of the best damn sales closers in the business.

    2. I remember one week during a Weekly Business Briefing (Open Meeting) in a hotel auditorium where a crossline Emerald was speaking. I think he showed the Plan that night and then did the "training" which lasted way longer than it needed to go as everyone melted in their suits and dressy attire.

I remember him ranting about volume. And he was only an Emerald because his uncle (a successful surgeon who didn't need the "business") was placed in his LOS. The Emerald's father (uncle's brother) is a Crown Ambassador within the AMO.

Anyways, the Emerald is ranting along "providing nuggets" and openly...in a room of 200 people turn towards one of his downline and asks, "...when are you going 1500 big boy?" I couldn't believe that someone would do that. And I would've felt low if that had been done to me in front of a crowd of people.

In a separate meeting in a hotel ballroom, Upline Emerald's Emerald (now Diamond) made an analogy between "cream" and "scum". Basically, how the cream rises to the top and the scum settles to the bottom. This comment stems from the fact that with two days to go, his team within the AMO had not sold all of its $15 dollar Saturday Night "Success Seminar" tickets.

That was one of the last business briefings I ever attended. it was the same night that my immediate Upline Emerald snatched $15 out of my hands as I was attempting to straighten my money out for her to pay for my seminar ticket.

The AMO was URA (URAssociation (notice how they name is something strange so that information can't be easily found?)) in case there are any lurkers out there doing their own research.

    3. Hi Anonymous. Thanks for sharing your story. It doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. Seen it played out at many Amway cult meetings. The cult leader berates, scolds, bullies or otherwise embarrasses the Ambot and then ends the rant saying “but we still love you”.

  3. URA is a particularly nasty and unpleasant Amway subsystem. Many of the very worst anecdotes about Amway, related here and at Joe Cool's blog, are about URA.

    1. Anonymous- the same thing can be said for any of the Amway cult sects. We were in WWDB and I met the worst nastiest evil motherfuckers I’ve ever had the horror of meeting in my whole life.

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!

If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. Gets checked occasionally. We’ll get to you eventually and approve it as long as it really isn’t spam.
