The #Girlboss Who Got Rich In MLM Pyramid Scheme

Is it possible for a #girlboss to get rich in other pyramid schemes seeing as how the good old boy’s club will never let that happen in Amway?

Here’s an article about a #girlboss who got rich from a scam MLM and how it cost her everything.

Sometimes we have to ask ourselves what is more important? Money or our soul?

Click the link to read on Yahoo:

I Got Rich Working For An MLM — And It Cost Me Everything That Truly Mattered

https://us.yahoo.com/news/got-rich-working-mlm-cost-130012342.html

The author doesn’t identify the pyramid scheme and that’s to make it seem like it could be any MLM scam out there. Even Amway. That is if Amway actually let women claw their way up the pyramid LOL!

Quote from the article:

In the early 2010s, multilevel marketing companies took off through social media; promises of financial freedom, friendships, and fabulous trips and gifts flooded my timeline, and my inbox was full of “hey, girl” messages from acquaintances sharing their “life-changing” opportunities.

Yup could be ScAmway or just about any other pyramid scheme.

Another quote:

The MLM structure is financially lucrative for corporations, because they then have hundreds of thousands of unpaid contractors shilling products and recruiting other sellers to do the same, with zero advertising.

However, what I didn’t know at the time is that they are not lucrative for the sellers. In fact, MLM reps have a 99.7% loss rate; most people who join never turn a profit.

Yes it’s well known that in Amway over 99% of participants lose money. And that only a tiny fraction of less than 1% of IBO’s will make money. Yeah who else wants to be a commissioned sales rep with a company that has over 99% failure rate? Besides Ambots other MLM pyramid schemes offer this same “business opportunity”. Many MLM scams model themselves after Amway. If it made DeVos and VanAndel rich it could do the same for other unscrupulous MLM founders.

Here's another quote:

I was told from Day 1 to “be coachable” and do everything my upline told me to do.

Where have I heard that bullshit before? Sounds exactly like what our sack of shit Platinum preached.

Cult cult cult!!!!

A lightbulb goes off:

The stress and constant pressure of keeping my pyramid intact, along with the endless travel, parties and events, escalated my anxiety and my drinking habit. I eventually sank into a deep substance use disorder, and nearly lost my life to it, all while keeping my MLM “dream” afloat.

As I continued to rise in the ranks, the things I experienced and saw eventually showed me clearly that this “dream” wasn’t manifesting for anyone but me. In fact, I was making money because so many people were losing money.

Yup all pyramid schemes are like Amway. The only way to make money is by scamming others who lose money. People with integrity and morals can’t keep up the charade of scamming others. You have to be a top notch scumbag liar to make money in any pyramid scheme.

The lifer quits:

Almost seven years in, I quit. Despite being a “success story” in MLM terms, I realized that my success meant making money at the expense of others, ignoring my own intuition and chipping away at my integrity. MLM’s aren’t about women succeeding; they are about using the appearance of female success to help the company — not the women in it — make money.

When I quit, I wondered, “Why aren’t more people talking about this?” Often they are embarrassed of becoming involved in the first place, and feel ashamed for falling for a scam, and in turn selling it to others.

Just like in Amway. Who is really making money when Amway products are sold? That would be the owners of Amway – people whose last name is VanAndel or DeVos.

And what if that isn’t your last name? Amway has various cult sects. We were in WWDB World Wide Dream Builders better known to me as World Wide Destructive Bastards. There are other Amway cult sects too started by cult leaders who have made their way to Amway Diamond. They make money by selling “motivational tools” to the Ambots in their downline like books, recordings, Communikate, and ticket sales to brainwashing functions.

And just like in Amway – MLM participants are too fucking embarrassed to admit they fell for a scam. That’s why people aren’t talking. Or they’re fearful. I’ve never met more nasty, vicious evil motherfuckers in my life than I did in Amway. They toss around threats. Heard it myself from Amway cult leaders that they might not break your leg but they had someone who’d do it for them. The author of Merchants of Deception – link to free ebook on the right side of this page – talks about the threats of violence inside Amway cult meetings and fears for his own personal safety. Even on this blog we get threats from Amway losers doing such a fine job of representing their beloved employer.

The author interviewed hundreds of former MLM members who described their experiences as “traumatic, depressing, stressful and cult-like”.

And “when those dreams didn’t come true, they believed the system, and the people at the top holding it together (including me), when we told them it was their fault for not working hard enough.”

Apparently Amway is not the only blame the victim scam out there.

Here’s another quote:

Like me, they all burned bridges with friends and family. They strained their finances, their marriages and their life balance. The source of “extra income” they sought turned into a financial drain. The “time freedom” they desired was actually a timesuck. And the community they felt drawn into was actually a closed system that discouraged critical thinking.

Sound familiar? Anyone?

This is exactly what happens inside the Amway cult!

Minus cursing out the fucking assholes in the Amway upline – by sharing her story this #girlboss also hopes to prevent others from getting scammed into a pyramid scheme and to help others know they are not alone.

  1. What struck me in the testimony of this woman was not the familiar account of how MLMs rip people off and drain them of funds and energy and time. It was the comment she made about these MLM companies "using the appearance of female success to help the company -- not the women in it -- make money."

That is a true gem of an insight. You have simple women who have been brainwashed by feminist ideals, and these companies exploit that to drain the women of cash by using stupid slogans like "Girl Boss" and "Boss Babe" to appeal to their fantasies.

It works with everyone, not just women. Amway always talks about how they want to recruit "sharp guys," or "movers and shakers," or "potential leaders." That kind of language is designed to appeal to men who are desperate to become big shots.

The whole thing about MLMs is how they always appeal to your vanity and self-esteem. You are"wonderful," you are "great," you are "special!"

    1. Anonymous - the appearance of female success tells us that Amway isn't the only pyramid scheme out there using the fake it till you make it philosophy. It's all about using the sales reps to make the owners of the company rich. And making the participants poorer.

Yup #girlboss or "sharp guys" these MLM cult leaders know how to use catch phrases to reel in the suckers who want to be big shot "business owners". Brainwashing goes a long way in these business cults. If I was being tempted with a business opportunity with over 99% failure rate I'd leave that one alone. Brainwashed cult followers will lap up the love bombing because it appeals to their vanity.

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!

If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. Gets checked occasionally. We’ll get to you eventually and approve it as long as it really isn’t spam.
