I had an Amway Ambot leave a comment here that truly perplexed me. This Ambot seems to get it that Amway’s products are too high priced and he’s getting abused by the fucking assholes in the Amway upline for having contraband products in his house. Yet he seems content to pay the annual fee to Amway’s closed market buying club and to buy some shitty overpriced Amway products that he actually likes. Hmmm… wonder what the hell those products could probably be. Though a lot of guys did like XS.
I actually signed up for Amway in the last month. I am
willing to buy some products and give samples to my friends, wait to see if
they like them and if they choose to buy, I will add their order to my order
and give them the products. The minimum delivery fee makes overpriced items
even less desirable. I don’t think alot of the products are good deals at the
current price points. I also am not willing to irritate my friends to make a
sale.
I have experienced directly some of the things written in this blog. One is
that you can take any product and the Amway people will tell you why theirs is
better. All of their products are better according to them. If the product you
are comparing is more expensive then they say the Amway one is a better deal.
If you have a cheaper product then say the Amway one is high quality. And I
mean any product. My upline explained why I need to get expensive Amway shampoo
and quit shopping at the Dollar Tree. He said I probably go through that
shampoo too fast and I said no I am good. Then he said that it is bad business
me not to use my own products. He went further to say that if someone comes
over and sees that I use different shampoo then it will look bad on my
confidence in the product. I asked him how many people he has visiting him home
go into the shower and ask him about his shampoo and he said that I am not
getting it. I replied “clearly.”
The current expenses if you do it correctly are 300.00 ish a month to buy
products. You need that level to qualify for the bonus at all. Then 125.00 to
join wwg so you can hear what seem to be testimonals from people who made money
and why they are great. In fact small note there, it is usually the husband
that is the one who got in first and the wife who introduces him wearing this
dress and standing all stiff and rigid. They usually also never blink. I am
always waiting to see if a gun barrel slightly becomes visible on the video and
points at them to keep talking or if they start blinking SOS as if they are
being held hostage. There is also a 65.00 a year fee and apparently all these
seminars which they tell you is the first thing you should budget for. I said
no thank you to all that. I buy some products I like and the annual license.
They like to say it is not pressure sales but they do a good job of not hearing
anything you say that isnt in their script. They also end every answer with “does
that make sense?” They even suggested I sell plasma if I cant afford everything.
Anna, the "Perplexing Ambot" is either a liar, or someone who is deceiving himself.
ReplyDeleteIn what he says, he really makes no mention at all of his motives for joining Amway. Why would he sign up to spend $300 a month on products that he seems to be indifferent to? And if he thinks his up-line is giving him all the typical bullshit Amway answers, why is he continuing in the business? And if he think all the Diamond-posturing at functions is silly and forced, why the hell is he attending them?
I don't like this guy, and I wouldn't trust his farther than I could spit. He's refusing to tell us anything about why he is a paying Ambot, or why he is coming to an anti-Amway website to read our postings and comments.
I'd like to have him handcuffed in a third-degree police department interrogation, with a glaring light in his face. I'm sure the cops would get a lot more out of him than he is pretending to give us here.
Anonymous - everyone in Amway is a liar! And yes Ambots lying to themselves or brainwashing into believing all the Amway bullshit and propaganda is part of it. This perplexing Ambot had only been in ScAmway for a month and hopefully the little shit quit soon after. And yes you're also perplexed by the motive for signing up. That's what peer pressure is all about and he was probably put in front of one of Amway's best closers.

The simple reason the shitty Amway products are so overpriced is that every purchase starts out with the cost of the product itself and then adds a commission to every upline sponsor, grand sponsor, great grand sponsor, great great… we’ll you get the idea. These upline commissions add no value to anything, only cost. Of course the Amway Cult leaders don’t want their sucker Ambots to look at that which is right in front of them. Buying “wholesale” product that is already marked up and expecting to mark it up even more for resale is not a winning strategy. Well, maybe your mother might buy some because she feels sorry for you or your neighbor will buy some to get you to shut up and go away. And then the desperate Ambot either sees the light, cuts their losses and hightails it out of the cult or begins the sad transition to hanging out in public places looking for newcomer suckers like themselves. Just say no.
ReplyDeleteHi Ray. Yes we've brought it up before like a lipstick for example costs less than $2 to manufacture including the container. Amway sells it for $40 - and that's just a number I threw out there. Lipsticks cost around $30 when were in ScAmway. So that's a good profit. Let's say the owners - the family at the top of the pyramid take half of that cost for their profit. So there's $18 profit left. A portion of that would go towards Amway's basic operating costs - payroll, electricty, etc. So let's say there's $10 left that gets split up in commission for everyone in the Ambot's upline. The Ambot that makes the sell earns pennies commission and everyone above him makes more. That's life at the bottom of the pyramid scheme.
