The last time we ran the post about a look inside the Amway cult, one of our readers came up with this great analysis:
This woman brings up a point
that should not be neglected. Recruitment into WWDB (or any of the other lousy
AMO subsystems) no longer even bothers with “details” about the Amway business
plan and how it is supposed to operate. They don’t even discuss it.
Instead, everything is just HYPE, HYPE, HYPE, and PRESSURE, PRESSURE, PRESSURE!
And these two techniques require that potential recruits be tired, disoriented,
weak, hungry, and both physically and mentally exhausted. Only then will they
be vulnerable to the demand that they sign up.
The Diamonds and the Platinums know this, and act on it. They really don’t care
if those who sign up make a single dime, or even if they recruit any down-line
of their own. As long as these people stay in Amway for a certain number of
months, they can be bled dry of funds. When they finally leave, they can be
replaced by other suckers who will go through the same HYPE and PRESSURE
treatment.
The entire procedure is this: the Diamonds scream that they are
multi-millionaires; the Platinums scream that this is true; and both of them
scream that anyone can do the same in two to five years, working part-time. And
they scream these stupid lies over and over, for three days at a captive
audience, until some people surrender out of sheer fatigue and sleeplessness.
This is pure cultic brainwashing. The fact that the scumbags in WWDB don’t even
bother to explain the Amway plan anymore is proof that the entire thing is now
based on mindless enthusiasm and psychological regimentation. Anyone attending
these WWDB recruitment seminars will be subject to severe psychological
assault, abuse, and browbeating.
And it is quite correct: the Diamonds don’t want any more Diamonds. All they
want is endless replacements of losers for their down-lines -- losers who will
send them endless streams of money every month.
This is a criminal organization.
If Amway were even slightly telling the truth surely the one group of people that would not exist in the system are the staff at the headquarters. After all they would have access to all the data on all the many millions of dollars streaming into the bank accounts of all the successful people. They would know first hand that the only way to make money in life is to be in the Amway scheme. Yet there are people working for "jobs" in Amway. Why? What do they know that the Platinums and Diamonds and Emeralds and Lumps of Coal do not know?
ReplyDeleteAussie Hillbilly - apparently you've never had to phone in to Amway's headquarters to complain about your upline or attempt to get a refund. That's why I call them the I-don't-give-a-shit department. And everyone at Amway headquarters has to be comfortable lying. You gotta wonder what sick sorry son of a bitch assholes would take a job at Amway. We have a post about the qualifications for getting a job at Amway LOL. You'd think someone with access to accounts payable in the payroll department could see how much money Ambots are making at this scam. People in the accounting department know what's going on with a company's finances better than anyone else in the company. It's my guess Amway's employees in the accounting department sure as shit ain't signing up to be Amway IBOs.
DeleteAmway's complaint department at the Michigan headquarters exists for one purpose only -- to deflect and basically ignore all complaints, and refer you back to "consulting your up-line." That's why we call them the Don't-Give-a-Shit Department.
ReplyDeleteThere's a legal reason for this. Amway has no legal leverage with the AMO subsystems like WWDB, URA, Network 21, Leadership Team, etc. These Line-of-Support subsystems are just recruitment and teaching organizations that exist independently of the Amway Corporation. Michigan has never really had any significant control over their actions, and therefore Michigan will not step in to aid you in any dispute you have with your up-line.
The Amway Corporation in Ada, Michigan knows very well that the AMO subsystems are nothing but ripoffs and scams. But the subsystems are the only way that Amway products can be sold in large quantities, so the Amway Corporation acquiesces in the lies and deceptions.
Anonymous - there's just so many things to hate about Amway and the Don't-Give-a-Shit Department at the head office is one of those many things. If you called into the school district and complained that one of the teachers was spinning out crazy religious teachings in the classroom and abusing the students - that would probably be dealt with immediately by the higher ups instead of telling the parent to discuss the issue with the teacher. It's the same thing with any business. You got an issue with the quality of the product you purchased you talk with the staff about getting a refund or a replacement. Years ago I dated a guy who ordered two cheeseburgers at McDonalds. I was not with him. When he picked up his tray he saw only one cheeseburger and turned back and said he'd paid for two and give him the other. An argument takes place now as she denies he paid for two. Ronald McDonald happened to be visiting that day and stepped in to cool down the situation. My ex punched the clown and got arrested. LOL! But really a manager should have come up to the cashier and gone through the sales and verified the purchase versus what he got instead of Ronald unless he was going to diffuse the situation and demand the extra cheeseburger. Though I can see when it comes to dealing with Amway losers and not getting anywhere you'd like to punch one. That's just the aggravation that these unbending Amway Ambots put people through.
