10 Warning Signs Of A Dangerous Amway Cult Leader

This is an excerpt that was originally on the Rick Ross web site. I guess he must have let his domain expire and another guy with the same name picked it up. Or if it’s the same guy he’s now reviewing casinos. Anyway Rick Ross is on the Cult Education Institute now. You might have seen him on various TV documentaries on the Charles Manson and Jim Jones cults where he gave insight to these dangerous, evil people who Amway cult leaders model themselves after. This page is worth a read. In addition to warning signs of a leader it includes a list of warning signs that people might be involved with a dangerous leader. Interestingly there is also a list of 10 signs of a safe leader. Ha ha! Nothing on the safe list can be said about our former sack of shit Platinum! He’s the complete opposite!

Anyway Rick Ross’s list is called Ten warning signs of a potentially unsafe group/leader but it could just as aptly be named Ten warning signs of a dangerous Amway leader. The comments in black are Rick Ross’s warning signs. The comments in red are mine. Get it. Red is a color warning of danger.

1. Absolute authoritarianism without meaningful accountability. This was mostly clear to me from our sack of shit Platinum who we heard speak more than we heard any other speaker, Emerald or Diamond. He demanded everyone in his downline to “ask permission” before doing anything. Constantly telling us to “submit to upline” and never question upline.
2. No tolerance for questions or critical inquiry. “Never question upline! Who do you think you are asking me something like that! Everything I say is the truth!”
3. No meaningful financial disclosure regarding budget, expenses such as an independently audited financial statement. The sack of shit never showed us his budget, his profit and loss statement, tax returns, etc. though he wanted to see all of ours.
4. Unreasonable fear about the outside world, such as impending catastrophe, evil conspiracies and persecutions. All the time! What else is out there except Amway? The answer to everyone’s prayers. Financial security for the rest of your life. Everyone else is doomed to have a J.O.B. and work for someone else. Nothing but negativity at Amway meetings with all the talk of doom and gloom and businesses shutting down and social security won’t be there when you retire, etc.
5. There is no legitimate reason to leave, former followers are always wrong in leaving, negative or even evil. The ones who leave are quitters, losers, broke losers, negative, dream stealers, etc. Nothing but insults for those who have quit Amway and current IBO’s are not allowed to associate with them anymore.
6. Former members often relate the same stories of abuse and reflect a similar pattern of grievances. Our stories are all over the Internet. They’re all the same story: upline abuse, brainwashing, financial losses, house foreclosures, bankruptcy, emotional distress, destroyed marriages, alienation from friends and family.....
7. There are records, books, news articles, or television programs that document the abuses of the group/leader. Again all over the Internet are blogs written by former IBO’s. NBC Dateline did an expose. Many former Amway cult followers have written books. Abuse from the upline and lives that have been destroyed by Amway is well documented.
8. Followers feel they can never be "good enough". A good example of this was the attempt our WWDB group made to sell Amway items for Christmas and rented a community hall for the event. Ambot had several friends show up and one person made purchases. Ambot had the only sale there all day and was rather pleased with himself. When it was over the Platinum highlighted Ambot who was expecting praise but instead he was criticized that only one of his friends purchased Amway products and that meant they weren’t his true friends. It was a constant cycle of abuse where the Platinum would punish, scold and berate and then say “but we still love you”.
9. The group/leader is always right. The sack of shit Platinum is always right. Pompous son of a bitch even told us once that his wife never wins an argument with him because he is always right. Oh gee, one of the top criteria for a happy marriage. According to Amway cult leaders that is.
10. The group/leader is the exclusive means of knowing "truth" or receiving validation, no other process of discovery is really acceptable or credible. Its all about information control. Our Platinum wanted to control the information the IBO’s received. Cult followers are brainwashed to believe the Platinum is always telling the truth. He gave his version of the news and told IBO’s not to listen to the news or read the Internet because it was wrong and could not be trusted whereas he would always tell the truth. Discrediting an information source is easier for the Platinum than debating the truth. By controlling the information the Platinum removes the IBO’s ability to think for themselves. Sleep deprivation also helps the cult leader in the brainwashing. Keeping IBO’s up to 1 or 2 or 3 in the morning and they are so tired that they’re willing to agree everything they hear at that hour is the truth.

Of course we can see it now. I’d say I saw this within a month of knowing the Platinum and getting involved in Amway. Too bad for the bastard that I wouldn’t drink the kool aid. Like we need any further proof that Amway leaders used cult techniques to brainwash their downline.

And then these same cult leaders claim Amway is not a cult. Deny, deny, deny. Lie, lie, lie. That’s the secret to success in Amway.

I’ll just send out another big old fuck you to everyone in our Amway upline. FUCK YOU AMWAY!!!

It shows how utterly stupid and corrupt the higher up-line in Amway is, and how mindless the lower-level ones are. Telling persons that they can survive a recession and a job layoff by being in Amway and living off Amway products? Huh? Could anybody on the planet be that goddamned stupid or evil?

Eat Amway energy bars and vitamins and Perfect Water instead of normal food? What kind of an asshole would even dare to make such a suggestion? Only someone in Amway.

You can make up for a lost paycheck by selling people crummy Amway products? Is that for real? Only someone in Amway would make such an asinine suggestion.

Amway is a criminal enterprise, and I wish it would be targeted by lawmakers who could prosecute it under the RICO Act. Every fucking Platinum and big pin and Diamond should be dragged away in handcuffs.

 

Amway Flaunted As A Recession Proof Business

I can’t tell you how many times I heard the upline sack of shit Platinum spout off that Amway is a recession proof business. He would follow that statement up by saying even in a recession people still need to eat, drink, and use toilet paper.

I have a recording by our fucking asshole Amway sponsor where he says “people running around with their heads cut off about the recession and getting laid off.” He follows that by saying how he starts putting fear into people about their job and how he hopes they don’t have all their eggs in one basket because they’ll be finished. He continues with the scare tactics saying he hopes they have more than one way of making money because if its slow now before Christmas, what’s going to happen after Christmas.

Smarmy evil son of a bitch.

So what happens when families incomes are disrupted due to lay offs or hours getting cut? Or being ordered to show up for work and not getting paid cause I don't consider an IOU being able to cover the bills. Do they look for ways to save money or do they go crazy buying expensive products?

I can’t remember the price of Amway’s toilet paper but it seems to me it was around $60 but I don’t know how many rolls, maybe 48. Whatever many rolls that’s still too high. Get 48 of a well known brand for $15, $20 at the grocery or drug store.

OK, glossed right over that. The Platinum sack of shit also mentioned eat and drink, everyone has to do that.

Sure but when I want food and drink I want it probably that same day not wait a few days for it to be shipped to me. I always shop at a local produce store that’s open year round for my fruits and vegetables. I find they’re fresher and much lower priced than grocery stores. My shopping list might vary with local produce that’s in season or a recipe I’m making but I can go to the produce store and buy a sack of potatoes, a bag of onions, tomatoes, carrots, celery, mushrooms, peppers, bananas, grapes, oranges, apples and get change from a $20 bill.

What kind of fresh vegetables and fruit does Amway sell? Would that be none? Oh wait some IBO is going to argue with me that who needs fresh produce when they can buy Nutrilite vitamins. Ah yes there’s a healthy choice. Not to mention an expensive one. When you’re hungry munching an apple might fill you up a bit. Pop a vitamin and you’ll still be hungry afterwards!

Does Amway sell eggs? Hmm, would that be another no? But my neighbor who’s got an in with a chicken farmer sells them for $1/dozen.

There’s a warehouse bakery that supplies all the grocery stores around here. They have a shop at their warehouse. I’ve been going there for years and buying bread for half price or less than what’s charged at the grocery stores. I can stock up my freezer for a month on less than $20 and that’s gourmet grain bread, garlic bread, bagels, and hamburger buns.

Who can tell me what kind of bread Amway sells? An IBO might argue Amway sells crackers and I should change my eating habits.

I bet those crackers cost a lot less at the grocery store than what Amway sells them for.

Then I hit the grocery store for the rest of my shopping. Now is when IBO’s will try to convince me that just about everything I want to buy at the grocery store is available from Amway. What about seafood - fresh or frozen? Does Amway sell that? Oh god some IBO is going to spout off about Nutrilite with Omega 3.

Drinks? Um I don’t drink energy drinks and XS is fucking disgusting so I’d never buy that! Perfect Water at a per bottle price of $2 each. I can buy a case of bottled water at Wal-Mart for $2 or $3 depends if its on sale. I don’t normally buy bottled water anyway. Our tap water is good. I tried some chocolate flavored Amway drink once in a tetra pack. Tasted like chalk. Don’t know what it was. Ambot thought I liked it so he ordered more and when they arrived they’d already passed the expiry date so I wouldn’t drink them. Really good quality control there Amway!

Recession or not people like to get good deals and they’ll shop where they can get good prices and get their money’s worth. When money is tight some people will even forgo quality for price. I can fill my fridge, freezer, larder for a month with good healthy choices for under $300 the minimum amount that IBO's have to fork out each month to stay in qualification to get a less than $10 check. That $300 worth of PV isn't putting hot, tasty, healthy meals on my table. Not to mention the ice cream for dessert that Amway can't sell me.

Amway IBO's can claim all they want that Amway is a recession proof business but can you find customers or sign up new prospects when money is tight?

Whether or not Amway’s a recession proof business is debatable - depending on whether or not you’re an IBO! - but selling to customers who’ve been hit by the recession and are watching their pennies is a tough sell. Why pressure these people? They’re already struggling financially why push them on a business with a 99% failure rate.

 

Amway Products Are Too Fucking Expensive!

Who remembers going to Amway meetings and hearing the cult leader brainwashing and bullshitting the followers who are having difficulty overcoming customer objections to buying Amway products because the price is too high.

And who remembers the lying scamming fucking Amway asshole who has the canned Amspeak response for everything saying something like: “Amway’s products are priced high to reflect their high quality.”

LOL! Bullshit!

Amway does NOT sell high quality products. Compare to similar items sold in the retail stores Amway’s products are grossly overpriced, they’re usually substandard or generic at best compared with similar lower priced products sold everywhere else.

I never believed the bullshit from the fucking assholes in our Amway upline about how Amway’s high prices reflect their high quality. I know good quality and I know bad quality and I can tell the difference pretty damn quick by trying the product myself.

I mean I am scared shitless to try energy drinks because the fucking assholes in our Amway upline said XS is the best energy drink out there. XS tastes like cat piss or depending on the flavor maybe a combo of cat piss and the worst cough medicine out there. If that’s the best energy drink in the world then damn right I’m scared shitless to try any other brand because what if. I mean just what if this is the one rare time when those fucking assholes in our Amway upline weren’t lying and there are actually energy drinks out there that taste worst than Amway’s XS piss water.

Amway’s high quality LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL have got nothing to do with why their products are so high priced. It’s all got to do with profit and commission.

Let’s take the $20 lipstick Amway sells. It costs about $1 to make lipstick and that includes the packaging. Compare to Avon where I can buy a $3 lipstick and there are lots of color choices. Amway only offers about 5 shades. Maybe more now but I doubt it. Undoubtedly the price has also increased but we're sticking to $20 because it's an easy number to work with. So what’s the better deal. Avon of course. And Avon wins everytime when comparing their products to Amway’s. Avon has better prices, better quality, and better selection. The only people buying Amway’s lipstick are female Ambots or the wives of Ambots. They probably have poor decision making abilities too. When you only have 5 colors to choose from it shouldn’t take too long to make a decision.

But go back to Amway’s $20 lipstick and my hypothetical guess at how the dollars are distributed though I’m probably pretty close. After manufacturing that leaves $19 proceeds. Amway’s owners need to jack up the price so they can make a hefty profit plus every little thing they sale must have a portion going to their overall operating expenses. So out of that $19 let’s say Amway’s owners take $15. They put a bit of that back into their business operating expenses but mostly its split between the owners.  That leaves $4. Is that the commission for the Ambot at the bottom of the pyramid who made the sale? Hell no! That’s communal commission split many ways. The guy doing all the hard work making the sale only makes pennies. Let’s say the Amway commissioned salesman makes 6 cents after busting his ass begging and pleading with some woman he knows to buy his overpriced shitty Amway lipstick. The rest of that $4 is split in commission in everyone in his Amway upline because that’s how this scam works. Ambots way high up in the pyramid that he’s never met are making money off his sale. And because they have a higher BV they’re making more commission that that loser ambot who made the sale! LOL! Surely those dumb fucks who want to be commissioned sales reps can find a better paying job than Scamway.

The high price does NOT reflect Amway’s high quality. It reflects how many people have to get a piece of the sale’s action.

The same scenario can be played out whether its Amway’s $40 laundry soap or $100 vitamins. Again products that don’t cost a whole lot to manufacture including the packaging. But Amway’s owners take a huge chunk of each sale for their profit and the balance is left over for commission for everyone in the upline of the jackass Ambot who made the sale.

So there you have it. The next time a lying scamming fucking Amway asshole tries to bullshit you that Amway’s products are priced so high to reflect their high quality tell the bastard the real reason. The products have to be so high priced so everyone can get a piece of the commission and Amway owners can make a huge profit of the sale. It ain’t got piss all to do with quality because the quality of Amway’s products is the shits and if they were really priced to reflect the quality Amway wouldn’t sell nothing that costs more than a buck..

 

 

Ambots Claim Amway Is The ONLY Thing One Can Do To Succeed In Life

When I attended Amway WWDB Dream Night several couples were invited to come forward, take the microphone, and say something. I think they may have been eagles or double eagles. They’d reached some level but I’m sure it wasn’t Platinum or higher. I remember one couple who were extolling the virtues of an Amway business and the wife screamed out “What else is there?” Assuming she meant in the way of business opportunities or making money outside of a J.O.B.

Let me answer her question. Just about EVERYTHING else is out there! I know lots of people who have found success while successfully staying away from Amway.

“Amway is the ONLY thing you can do to succeed in life” is a message I’ve heard over and over again at meetings run by Platinum, Emerald, and Diamond speakers. Part of the brainwashing technique. Can’t let IBO’s think there are other things out there where they can succeed in life that might redirect their time, energy, or money away from the Amway scam. Ambot already has reasonable success but once he joined the Amway cult his business was constantly put down for one reason or another (what if he gets sick, what if there’s a slow down, etc) and he was brainwashed into thinking his business won’t last but Amway success is forever.

Everyone has different opinions on what defines success. I could list hundreds of items and still not be finished. For some people success could be determined by earning a desired income, reaching a scholastic level, owning a restaurant that is packed every night with patrons, getting picked for a local circuit baseball team, publishing a book, playing a musical instrument, losing weight, getting married, buying a New York City penthouse overlooking Central Park..... The possibilities are endless.

Suggesting that to most rational human beings - Amway is NOT the ONLY thing one can do to succeed in life.

“There is nothing else out there except Amway” is a similar phrase drilled into IBO’s as part of the brainwashing techniques. The cult leaders tell IBO’s they must discard anything else in their life that isn’t making them succeed at Amway.

I also heard enough times “What are you willing to give up to succeed in this business?”

The possibilities of what an IBO should discard are also an endless list: spouse, friends, church, job, TV, books, hobbies, car, house......

Who says you have to give up things or whatever makes you tick as part of your lifestyle in order to become successful?

How many apprentice mechanics are asked what things they are willing to give up so they can fix cars? Who would tell a mechanic in order to open up his own garage he must give up his wife, his TV, his friends and his hobbies, sell his house, get rid of his dog, etc or he will never succeed.

Ridiculous huh? Well maybe only to people who are not brainwashed IBO’s. People are capable of juggling other things in their lives while at the same time succeeding at their chosen goals. Apparently not Amway IBO's if you listen to the hallowed cult leaders.

Amway is NOT the ONLY thing one can do to succeed in life. Based on mine and Ambot’s experiences I’d say Amway is about the only thing we’ve ever failed at. In a system designed to set up failure. What else do you expect?

 

Amway Employees Treated Like Shit?

Occasionally past and current Amway employees show up here to talk about what its like working there. Based on employee’s views Amway treats its employees like shit. Even the customer service rep who can’t string a sentence together or spell to save her (his?) life and showed up to curse out ambots who phone their I-don’t-give-a-shit line to lie about not receiving products gave us insight on what its like working there. And one could argue that Amway’s hiring department dredges the bottom of the sewer and has low quality requirements for hiring staff and just hires anyone they’re so desperate but that still doesn’t make it right for them to treat their employees like shit just because they can’t get good employees. Here’s another employee story.

I work at the plant as a temp and I hate it. I Hate the overhead, the treatment, and working on cheap/shitty products while the suits just comes down like pigeons to shit on everything. I don't even make three hundred bucks a week because Amway slaves out the temp services while the full time employees do jack shit and make triple the amount of pay. It is a wretched place to work or even assosciate with. I'm sorry that is is as horrible on the business end of the deal as well.

Some people are so desperate for a job and make money to pay the bills that they will take a job that comes along even with a shitty employer who treats their employees like shit. I remember going to Amway cult meetings and the Diamonds would be gloating about all the plants and warehouses were Amway produces their “fine quality” products. Ha ha! Make that shitty overpriced products! But really according to this Amway employee who is treated like a slave these Amway plants are no different than sweat shops in 3^rd world countries. I’m sure I’m not the only one who checks the labels before I buy things. If I see something is made in Bangladesh home of many warehouse fires and deaths in sweat shop factories I ain’t gonna buy it. Just like I don’t buy no shit that says Amway Alticor or whatever other names they use to disguise who they are. Forget the fact that its an overpriced shitty product and I can buy similar way cheaper from reputable companies. If it comes from an Amway sweat shop where employees are treated like shit that’s just as good a reason not to buy.

So why stay in a shithole job and put up with shitty employers? Like I said desperate to take any job to pay the bills. Eventually another job will come along and people quit and move on. And I get it that Amway’s not the only employer out there that treats employees like shit but we’re not talking about other shitty employers because I don’t get employees from other companies showing up here to bitch about their jobs and out their employer. Instead I’ve had 20 year Amway employees complain to me that they still don’t get benefits after putting in all that time. Shitty employers like Amway know employment loopholes and how to get around giving benefits and good pay. They keep employees rated as temporary or part time and go through temp agencies to bring in staff.

What about all those fucking Amway ambots that show up here and leave comments gloating about how Amway made 12 billion dollars last year. A company that makes that much money can’t pay its employees better and give them benefits? Like fuck you! There are tons of companies out there that don’t bring that much money and pay their employees well and have benefits and pension plan. It takes a low class greedy employer bringing in that kind of money to treat its employees like shit just so there’s more money in the owners bank accounts.

OK wretched Amway employee I’m sorry things are so tough for you but really there are jobs out there that pay better and where you get treated better. Walmart and McDonalds come to mind that seem to be easy to get jobs at because there’s a high turnover. Same as other food and restaurant businesses. High turnover always looking for new hires. I get it that these are the kind of places that Amway cult leaders make fun of in their cult meetings but who gives a flying fuck what those Amway assholes think. Putting other people down and putting their jobs down is something that brings happiness to those Amway assholes. Do some research and find out which employers offer benefits to employees and apply there. Even Starbucks the butt of many jokes from the assholes in the Amway upline “big bucks, hua hua hua I’m so fucking clever” offers benefits to part time employees.

Bottom line is many of these places pay better than Amway does. Maybe benefits too. And treat their employees better too.

Here’s the thing people if your employer is Amway or someone else and is treating the staff like shit there are regulating agencies in your state where you can file a complaint. Sure it’ll probably end up that you’ll get fired from your job because that’s what shitty employers do rather than buckle and treat their employees better but at least you’ve filed a complaint and your shithole employer will be investigated and maybe fined. Nobody files frivolous complaints when they know they’ll get retaliated by their employer. They’re doing it cause it’s the right thing to do. Out the fucking bastards they work for!

The Amway corporation treats its employees like shit because the company's basic philosophy is that anyone who works for a salary is a loser. In the eyes of Amway, anyone who holds a "J.O.B." is garbage.

So quite naturally, Anway treats its employees like garbage.

And of course the right thing to do is not work for shitty employers like Amway who treat their employees like shit. Where making a buck is more important than treating employees well.

 

 

Ambot The Social Director

As if it wasn’t bad enough that Ambot wanted to belong to an expensive social club, he became the self appointed social director.

He purchased an XS Energy Drink cooler from the XS Gear website and stuffed it full of Amway drinks and food bars that he took the Amway meetings where he shovelled in as many as he could to prove to everyone around him what a devoted Ambot he was.

If that didn’t piss me off enough the self appointed social director handed out drinks and food bars to everyone else - whether they wanted one or not. If anyone has ever bought this Amway shit you’ll know its FUCKING EXPENSIVE. Depending on what you have when you break down the cost per unit it can be $2 to $5. I like to make expensive stuff last a long time. If someone gives me a box of Ghirardelli chocolate I can make it last for weeks maybe even a few months.

Ambot had no such inclination. He gobbled down a case of food bars and drank a case of XS energy drinks daily. Throw in another case of each that he passed out to every IBO that was sitting around us which really pissed me off. These bastards were all IBO’s who knew how expensive this stuff was. If they wanted to consume it let them buy it themselves and earn their own PV.

Not a single one of those fucking cheap bastards ever shared any of their Amway products with us even though Ambot passed out free XS and food bars all the time.

Just to clarify I’m not this stingy with non-Amway products. If I have a sack of M&M’s I’ll share them. If I have a 12 pack of Coke I’ll hand them out. If I’ve baked a batch of cookies I’ll pass them around. If we invite people over for a BBQ I have a ton of food on hand. Help yourselves.

Ambot easily passed out $50 worth of consumables to others in our crossline or upline while at meetings. What about that budget we had to show the Platinum? Nowhere did I see an entertainment budget of $50/meeting to cover the costs of Amway products that Ambot was passing out to Amway losers. That same $50 could be a nice dinner out somewhere for the two of us.

The Platinum sack of shit stroked Ambot's ego by calling him a server. What the fuck kind of compliment is that???? That's why Ambot's here on earth is to serve others. Ambot ate it all up. Literally when I think about all the Amway consumables he pigged out on. And also literally because he served the shit up to other IBO's at meetings.

And no matter how much the upline might try to plug in to everyone that these are healthy eating choices, no way do I see an XS and a food bar taking the place of a well balanced dinner. Or even a meal that might not be so well balanced.

Ambot might as well have passed out $10 bills to everyone who wanted one.

 

 

Amway Is An Expensive Social Club

Joecool wrote something on his blog to the effect that if you aren’t earning money in your Amway business but are spending lots of money on Amway purchases and tools then its almost like you’ve joined an expensive social club.

I think that statement may apply to Ambot. The more money he spent on Amway products and tools, the more his new friends liked him.

People are busy spending time with friends and family. They’ve busy at their jobs or business owners may end up with some odd hours to accommodate clients. People with school age children are involved in their kids recreational activities or driving them to their activities. Add in grocery shopping, spending time at the gym, walking the dog, and other recreational pursuits. How about quiet time at home reading a book, on the computer, or watching TV. What about the not so fun stuff around the house like cleaning, laundry, mowing the lawn, and keeping the garden weeded. Most people have things to do that fill their days. We lead busy lives just like countless others.

If we weren’t already busy enough after Ambot wanted to do the Amway thing again we were constantly on the go, go, go. Often there would be 2 or 3 board plans in a week that we had to attend even though the same old bullshit we’d heard the night before we listened to again. This would tie us up from 7pm to midnight. Nothing like boring us to death so we’re ready to sleep. Not to mention any other seminars or rallies or other events the upline decided we should attend.

I remember being at a function and listening to a Diamond speaker who was showing the audience “lines” to use to pick up prospects. Say a prospect came up with the objection that “the business” wouldn’t work for them because they don’t have any friends. The Diamond says, then ask them: “How would you like to have some friends?”

The expensive social club reference triggered that memory.

Someone who doesn’t have friends may be interested in joining some sort of social group to meet people. But the purpose of being an Amway IBO is to find other prospects to join up and become IBO's too or to find customers to buy Amway products. So if the only friends you have are people already involved in Amway, there is no chance of getting any of them to sign up to be an IBO or to buy Amway products.

So even though we already lead busy lives Ambot decided we should be even busier. He had a whole new group of friends who were slyly influencing him to leave behind his old friends. He was full of self-importance whenever someone asked him to come over and he’d answer he was busy that night (Amway meeting). Not to mention the overload of text messages and phone calls that he immediately had to deal with from the fucking assholes in his upline.

I’m not here to suggest social clubs or how to meet new friends. All I want to say is if you are looking for a new group of people to hang out with there are many avenues to try. Amway Cult Leaders Demand To See Your Budget

I was surprised when Ambot announced that the sack of shit Platinum wanted to see our budget.

“That’s really none of his fucking business,” I responded. “Its not like he works for a bank and we’re going for a loan.”

“But if we’re serious business builders then he says we have to show him a budget,” Ambot argued. Yep that was total Amway speak and for the life of me I couldn’t figure out why the hell the Platinum wanted to see our budget other than Ambot’s loose explanation that the Platinum wanted to help us create a budget that we could follow and help us get financially on track. Let’s see - is he a financial planner? I was pretty sure he has a government job that’s not finance related? But then I forget that not minding their own business is a prerequisite for being a sack of shit Amway Platinum.

I had created a budget sometime during the past couple of years after reading a book written by a financial advisor and one of the exercises was to create a budget. Then I started reading books by another financial advisor who didn’t recommend creating budgets because over 90% of people don’t follow them anyway which is totally true in our case. The budget I had saved on the computer was good enough for me without updating any changes and I printed it out for Ambot.

The Platinum was impressed and said we were in much better shape than most of his downline. Well no shit there’s a reason for that particularly because other than mortgage and business costs we had no debt. We owned our cars and had investments and savings. This is just part of life experience. People in their 20’s who are starting out still have to save up a down payment to buy their first house and they probably took out a loan to buy a car. And probably have credit card debt.

So the fucker wants to see our budget to guide us financially on track when we’re in better financial shape than him?

In hindsight I know the Platinum wanted to see our budget to see how much wiggle room we had to buy Amway products and invest in tools when he saw the difference between our income and expenses. The real reason he was impressed was that we had no debt on our credit cards with about 100K available. That’s a lot of Amway products we can charge not to mention we had nothing holding us back from attending out of state functions. “Just charge it!” We have equity in our house so again the Platinum must have seen $$$ signs that we could get a line of credit against that equity if we needed. Oh and he must have loved decent 401k available that we could cash in to donate to the Amway cult.

While coming up with this post I looked at the revised budget I did after the Platinum meeting so he must have given me some Amway stuff to add in. Under PV there is $300 budgeted each month. (If you read previous posts you’ll know that Ambot purchased closer to $1000 each month for PV. What did I say about not following a budget????) This is under household where I have things like groceries, utilities, etc. Under (Amway) “business” expenses are 3 items (HA!): web page $50 (that would have actually been the WWDB Premier membership), Communikate $34, and samples $60, totalling $144/month in business expenses. Plus $300 personal shopping for PV = $444. That’s approximately what I said in the SaveFirst, Spend Later blog on a lowball monthly Amway investment. Add in functions and budget $700/month minimum. A little more than what the sack of shit had us put on the budget.

The budget was never referred to ever again. Kind of like the name list. Just produce one to show the Platinum that you have one and no need to bring it up again.

But did the Platinum give us any concrete advice on how much money to put into the Amway budget. During the first few months when he was “fired up” Ambot threw away close to $2000/month on various things having to do with Amway - buying products, buying tools, entertaining fucking assholes in the Amway upline, etc. After he hit the limit on that credit card the spending was reduced to around $500/month.

So much for the budget. If I was actually keeping one I’d have to add in a new column for paying back credit card debt thanks to Amway.

 

 

What Happens When You Don’t Pay Amway?

We have a lot of fun with search criteria that people use to show up at the marriedtoanambot blog.

One of the searchers wants to know “what happens when you don’t pay Amway”

First off not paying Amway is a very good thing because that means you aren’t getting scammed out of your money buying substandard products for a premium price.

Amway is only your friend as long as you shop in their store.

No shop. No friends no more!

I would say the answer is as simple as any online retailer you shop from. Don’t pay them and they won’t send you the goods you put in your shopping cart.

Also the same as the annual membership fee Amway charges you for the “privilege” gag gag of shopping in their store. Don’t pay your annual fee you don’t get to shop there. And some fat cat at Amway has a little less money in their bank account.

Costco is the same way. Don’t pay your annual membership fee and the bouncer standing at the door at Costco won’t let you in.

I would say its a very good thing when you don’t pay Amway. That means you quit doing business with them and you’re not getting ripped off anymore.

I encourage everyone not to pay Amway!

 

 

Amway Quacks

When an IBO signs up to be a commissioned sales rep with Amway that also means they now become a professional expert on everything.

Yes everything. Fuck those college degrees. You can become an expert by paying a couple of hundred a year to become a card carrying Amway asshole. That’s only the membership fee. Doesn’t include the thousands of dollars you have to spend to keep the Amway upline happy.

What’s really scary are Amway ambots dispensing medical advice. Their “patients” suffer from various illnesses and because the ambot is in Amway that means they are now a medical professional and can treat and cure these diseases.

Its really scary the comments that have been left here and questions asked. Amway ambots are telling people with terminal illnesses that Amway products will cure what ails them and patients are searching the Internet to check out the claims made by these Amway quacks.

25 years ago Ambot and I took one of those weekend first aid courses so that meant we were the most medically trained professionals in our line of sponsorship. That plus the fact we’ve watched on TV just about every medical drama out there. Every ambot in our group would phone for medical advice. For christsake! – see a real doctor. And sometimes they did but they would still come to us for a second opinion because we were better qualified than highly trained doctors because we were in Amway.

My long ago first aid training consists of learning to do the Heimlich maneuver, CPR, and put on bandages. Don’t come to me for medical advice. If you got a splinter in your finger I can probably help you. If you’re dying of cancer I’m not going to suggest you take Amway snake oil for your miracle cure. But that’s because I’ve got morals and I’m no liar and I’m not trying to fuck a buck out of you by scamming you. An Amway quack standing at the gateway to hell will lie just to get your money for the phony medical advice they give.

Amway ambots have no morals. They’re only out to make a buck so these Amway quacks have no problem dispensing bad medical advice while pretending they have a medical degree from Amway university.

Amway ambots are quick to insult doctors who actually went to medical school and got degrees. What a waste of money when its so much cheaper to become an Amway quack.

Amway quacks also use some bullshit line about would you ask your friend for advice on surgery instead of a real surgeon. Ambots don’t even see surgeons and instead they do ask their Amway quack friends for surgery and medical advice. Ambots seek medical advice from Amway quacks instead of qualified doctors who graduated from medical school with a degree.

Amway ambots are know it alls. Today they might be an Amway quack dispensing medical advice and tomorrow they might be an ambulance chaser giving legal advice.

Helpful Tip: Do Not Buy XS Energy Drink Gear

Ambot was so hyped with everything Amway that he went to the XS Gear website undoubtedly encouraged by his upline and purchased some items. Ambot never drank energy drinks prior to getting involved in Amway but during the Amway dark ages he purchased boxes of XS energy drinks weekly and consumed them with frighteningly urgency. It was only natural he would want to promote the product that his upline convinced him was going to pave his path to riches.

He purchased what could best be described as a nylon webbed cycling outfit - shirt and shorts. He also purchased an XS cooler to store all his XS energy drinks and carry them dutifully to all Amway meetings.

The problem with the shirt and shorts was that they arrived in a smaller size than Ambot ordered and they charged his credit card so they had his money. Thus began many phone calls back and forth between Ambot and XS Gear. After dicking Ambot around for several weeks XS Gear finally admits they don’t have his size and won’t be getting any more because its a discontinued product. After all IBO’s are so busy attending meetings and functions, dealing with multiple phone calls and texts from upline, showing the plan, and all the other time-consuming bullshit that goes on inside “the business” who’s got time to ride a bike.

Ambot tried to return the clothes but XS Gear refused to take them back. Remember they strung him along with telephone tag for a long time and checking the stockroom for other sizes? They have a refund policy only if the items are returned within 30 days. The time frame had expired.

Let’s see. Whose fault was it for charging the credit card and then shipping the wrong size?

Their suggestion to Ambot? “Keep taking the product and one day you’ll fit into the clothes.”

What a bunch of fucking idiots especially since they sent the wrong size in the first place instead of coming clean from the start and admitting to Ambot they were unable to fill the order. No wonder Amway partners with them. Always good to have a partner store on hand that shares similar philosophies in fucking over IBO’s.

I’m not sure what happened to those clothes. I haven’t seen them. Its possible Ambot chucked them out or put them in with other clothes we donate to charity. Maybe they’re stuck in the back of the closet and I’ll run into them again one day. He never wore them.

As for the XS cooler? We didn’t really need another cooler. We have 2 or 3 already. Ambot probably only bought it for bragging rights to impress his upline and crossline about how devoted he is. Ambot loaned it to one of the fucking assholes in his Amway upline and they stole it. Never to grace our house again thank God!

That’s one of the best things about ending our Amway business - no longer dealing with lowlife lying, greed-consumed Amway IBO thieves.

 

 

I Wake Up Even When I’m Not Done Sleeping

Last night was one of those nights when I kept waking up. I couldn’t stay asleep. I finally woke up just after 6am an ungodly hour of the day for me. I’ll probably go outside and lie down on the lounge chair with a book and end up falling asleep in the sun and then I’ll really be groggy for the rest of the day!

At the many Amway meetings I attended the cult leader speaking to the group would say something to the effect of “wouldn’t it be great to wake up in the morning when you’re done sleeping”. I know I heard our sack of shit Platinum said that at every Scamway meeting that his wife gets up once she’s done sleeping. Sounds a little irresponsible when you have school age children. Their kids were teenagers - a boy and a girl - I think about 13 and 14 at the time. Does mom not want to make sure the kids are getting themselves out of bed on time, eating a decent breakfast, packing a lunch, and making sure they get out the door? Would Platinum dad be doing all this? Unlikely. That asshole is a male chauvinist pig and childcare he would put under the category of “woman’s work”. In which case his wife is very likely getting out of bed when the sack of shit shakes her awake and says “you’re done sleeping. Get up now! I want my fucking breakfast!”

The main reason the Platinum says his wife gets out of bed when she’s done sleeping is to sneer at the downline who have jobs and set their alarm clock daily and get out of bed in time to get to work.

“Wake up when you’re done sleeping” is something I have a hard time getting my head wrapped around. First off most parents who have school age children don’t laze around in bed and get up when they’re “done sleeping”. Maybe - and that’s a big maybe depending on how mature and responsible the kid is - once the kid is a junior or senior and is capable of getting themselves out of bed on time, dressed, eat breakfast and off to school. I know I was just as likely to play hooky as go to school. Just because your kid goes out the door doesn’t mean they don’t have better things to do for the day than go to school. Parents who have younger children need to get them out of bed, dressed, prepare breakfast, fix a lunch bag, and walk them to school unless there are older siblings who can walk with the younger child. Its my guess that most stay at home parents wake up by at least 7am. They probably don’t go back to bed once everyone is out the door either.

Unless of course you’re a lazy ass IBO who is following the upline’s advice about not getting out of bed until you’re done sleeping.

Unlike what the Amway assholes say about wouldn’t it be nice not to have to wake up to an alarm clock every morning I very rarely set my alarm clock. If I set my alarm its because I have somewhere to be early. Alarm clock or not I’d say that I very rarely wake up when I’m “done sleeping”. Like today for example! I ain’t done sleeping yet! So I’m working on a blog post!

Just because Platinums and Diamonds praise the value of staying in bed until you’re “done sleeping” doesn’t mean its something everyone aspires to do and not something that is necessarily practical. I guess none of them ever heard of Benjamin Franklin and “early to bed early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise”.

I wouldn’t say that I necessarily go to bed early though since we’re no longer in Amway I’m able to get to bed before midnight. Does it make me healthy waking up early? When I get up I walk the dog, have something light to eat, and then I go to the Y to swim or do an exercise class. Healthy enough I suppose. Or healthier than lying around in bed until I’m “done sleeping”.

Let’s compare that to an Amway IBO. Say the lazy bastard hauls ass out of bed around noon. They go to the kitchen to prepare a meal of an XS energy drink, food bar, and vitamins. Next will probably be checking email, text messages, and making lots of phone calls. Next thing its late in the afternoon and the laundry and housecleaning aren’t done. What about yard work? When was the last time the lawn was mowed or the garden weeded? Who’s got time for that? Now its time for counselling with downline because they’re starting to get off work now and then the 8pm board plan meeting and the night owl. Arrive back home around 2am and do it all over again the next day.

Lying around in bed is a waste of time to many people. I’ve always gone with the philosophy that the quicker I can get things done the quicker I can relax. Even though I can lay around in bed until noon if I wanted I don’t do it because the day is getting away from me.

Waking up when I’m done sleeping does not work for me.

Neither does waking up when I’m not done sleeping!

But I still press on.

At least I’m not an Amway asshole who lies around in bed half the day because of a feeling of entitlement because that’s what the upline tells them to aspire to - get up when they’re done sleeping.

And those Amway fuckers call us lazy!

 

Join Amway And Lose The Ability To Think For Yourself

The last time we posted Join Amway For Exciting Changes Or Just More Bullshit one of our readers had this to say:

 

Every time someone joins a cult (whether religious, political, social, or business-linked), he is subtly but effectively changed. And this is why those who escape from cults like Amway have a tremendous sense of liberation. They can say "I no longer BELIEVE IN THE BULLSHIT!" It's a great relief to them.

 

Join Amway For Exciting Changes? Or Just More Bullshit?

At just about every Amway meeting we attended we were told that we’d come on board at just the right time. Now is the beginning of what is gearing up to be a huge increase in Internet sales of Amway products. Exciting changes are just about to happen in the Amway business. This is huge!

I could have sworn we heard the same pitch many years ago too!

We were shown charts of how this trend was supposed to occur over the next few years with sales going up. This chart was part of the business plan flip cards that were shown at every Amway meeting.

There might be some changes but whether or not they’re exciting is debatable. I’m not really here to discuss Amway policy and what changes are going on in their company. This blog exists to curse out my former upline and inform others what it was like living with an Ambot.

Here are the (not-exciting) changes I observed in Ambot:

1. he got into huge arguments with people he normally got along well with who didn’t want to come to Amway meetings
2. he sneered at people who had J.O.B.s and weren’t willing to consider an Amway career
3. he was very rude to friends who weren’t interested in supporting his business by buying overpriced Amway products
4. he dropped whatever he was doing to respond to phone calls or text messages from the upline who wanted him to haul his ass to where they were for whatever they deemed was more important
5. he quoted Amway speak constantly and parroted whatever his upline brainwashed him into repeating
6. he questioned everything I did and how that was making him money in his Amway business
7. he had the brainwashed delusion that his upline sponsor was some sort of god and therefore we must lick his asshole
8. he became a slob around the house littering his Amway garbage wherever he happened to be and refused to put the consumed items containers into the garbage or recycling bin
9. he used his previously debt free credit card for Amway related purchases including treating the entire upline out for meals and maxed it out
10. he became increasingly agitated, argumentative, rude, and snobbish
11. he accused everyone with different points of view (from his upline) of being negative

The changes since Ambot got out of the cult are a lot more positive. Becoming a nice person again is one. Despite the upline’s proclamations that being in Amway makes you a nicer person to distract the IBO’s from paying attention to the money they’re not making, I’m here to dispute that and say NO FUCKING WAY does being an IBO make you a nicer person. As a group mentality they might all put on a fake nicey nice act at functions and seminars but in private they’re nasty, surly, unapproachable sorry excuses for human beings. Funny how losing money in Amway can change a person’s personality especially since the upline brainwashes them into thinking the reason they’re not succeeding is because they’re not trying hard enough or because they’re losers.

I’m here to say watching someone getting brainwashed by the Amway cult is not an exciting change.

Follow Up To Advice For The Lovelorn

One of our readers comments on the situation of dating an Amway Ambot who is my hero! There should be more guys around like this who will punch out an Amway asshole if some fucking Ambot is disrespecting his girlfriend/wife.

 

I swear, Anna, the more I hear about these Amway freaks the angrier I get.

This intelligent woman goes to an Amway meeting with her boyfriend, with an open mind, and with all the good will in the world.

And what happens? She asks a few honest questions, and the Amway "mentors" start degrading her to her face, in front of her boyfriend, in a public setting. What the hell is going on?

First off, if I were her boyfriend and that happened, I would have jumped up and punched that Amway asshole right in the mouth. How dare he allow someone to insult and abuse his girlfriend just for asking some simple questions? What's wrong with this boyfriend? Was he born without a pair of balls?

Even worse, he blames his girlfriend! According to him, she hasn't "earned the right" to have information.

Huh? You're being recruited into a business deal and you have no right to get information about it? Was this boyfriend born stupid, or did he take an advanced degree in stupidity? She should dump this pathetic creep just for having a room-temperature IQ.

Finally, these Amway freaks alienated someone for no reason at all -- they insulted the woman and disrespected her. Is that normal procedure when you're trying to get people to join your business?

Then this idiot of a boyfriend has the nerve to tell her that she "needs to be on the path to excellence with him." What utter, mealy-mouthed, phony propaganda! It means absolutely nothing at all, but it is the typical half-assed pronouncement thought up by MLM fanatics as an "answer."

Anna Banana Gives Advice To The Lovelorn

One of our readers has a horrible dilemma. It’s called dating an Amway loser.

Hi Anna,

I am in need of your guidance.

I've been seeing this guy for about 6 months now, and I was truly falling in love with him until this Amway business has been brought into the picture. I have know him for over a year now and he waited until about a month ago to bring up that he is a part of it. To start, the fact that it was treated as a 'secret' is already a red flag in the relationship, but I was actually the one who brought up wanting to meet his mentors because I had no idea what it is all about. I am the type of person who will always walk into the situation with an open mind, and go from there.

When meeting the mentors I thought it was all blue skies and rainbows, but they never actually talked about starting a vetting process. Now Ive met with them 4 times in a personal setting, and once in a group setting for one of their meeting. During this Im trying to stay very neutral and learn about what it is all about. Meanwhile his mentors are degrading me to my face and in front of my boyfriend in a way that I accepted it in the moment. When I pulled myself back to reality 3 seconds later I just became so infuriated internally. shorty after the meeting I texted my boyfriend my feeling about everything and some hard hitting questions. His reply was right out of the playbook and said "information is earned not passed around."

I'm not trying to toot my own horn but I am a confident, and secure person and I know where I stand about this.

I really thought that this was love until this happened, so I tried to talk to him about it. He said I can't stay a cheerleader forever and that I need to be on the path to excellence with him.

So here is my standpoint, I am all about personal growth, but truthfully I would much rather achieve that in a church group, or a women helping women club. When there is MLM involved I physically become ill, thats how much it stresses me out.

I don't know what I should do moving forward.

I feel like We have a real connection but this is driving a wedge between us. I don't want to play it out too long just to delay broken hearts but if there is a way to compromise I want to hear any input you may have.

Dear very confused human,

I'm sorry about your situation. I didn't quite get from your post if your boyfriend signed up to Amway since you've been dating or if he's already been in for awhile before then. Doesn't make a whole lot of difference except most Ambots quit within a few months. 95% quit Amway within 2 years. Anything longer than that, then he's pretty much devoted to being a lifer in this cult. The length of time he's been inside the Amway cult might make a difference to you, whether you plan to wait him out or not.

Sneaking around, being secretive, lying are all part of belonging to Amway and probably the same as any other cult.

What you're getting from him are what we call canned Amspeak bullshit propaganda. These Amway Ambots have an answer for just about everything.

I see from your comments that these Amway assholes are still calling themselves "mentors". Yeah some mentor playing a make belief game of being a business owner. There's a lot of pretending going on inside the Amway cult. The mentor is probably some loser with a low income job that doesn't have a house or investments or a real business or stuff that you might seek out a real mentor for.

Here's your reality. The reality of every woman who is in a relationship with an Amway Ambot.

A box of Amway soap will be more important to him than you.

The fucking assholes in his Amway upline will always be more important to him than you.

Worshipping the Great Amway God will always be more important to him than you.

He is financially irresponsible. Any disposable income or money he can borrow or put on his credit card will be used on Amway shit. He'll be broke all the time.

Most importantly and this applies to any man whether he's in the Amway cult or not. Do you really need a LIAR every day in your life?

Come on. Really you can do a whole lot better than a broke Amway loser who will put a box of soap ahead of you.

My advice is to get out before you invest more time, money and emotions on an Amway loser. You can always leave the door open and tell him if he leaves Amway you'd be willing to talk to him again.

As we speak here, the fucking assholes in his Amway upline are already counselling with him to end his relationship with you because they're brainwashing him to believe you're a negative unchristian dreamstealer who's holding him back from succeeding in Amway. Amway is a blame the victim scam. Also nothing brings those bastards more happiness than destroying other people's lives.

As we know now, practically no one (not even the fat-assed big pins and Diamonds) ever attain the wealth and leisure that they hold up as an ideal for ordinary IBOs. These big pins and Diamonds work till they drop dead. The promise of "leisure" in Amway is a complete lie.

All Amway tells you is to be a workaholic till you die of exhaustion or poverty. And they actually think that this is better than a well-paying job with benefits and a retirement plan.

 

 

Amway Losers Have An Over The Top Obsession With Lazy

Today’s post is about Amway ambots and their over the top freaking out paranoia over lazy.

According to ambots that description belongs to people who quit Amway. Lazy.

Typical judgemental ambots parroting whatever the assholes in their Amway upline say.

Pointing fingers. And them fingers are pointing the wrong way you lazy ambots. You really think you’re going to become millionaires in 2 to 5 years working 10 to 15 hours a week even though your upline will deny deny deny deny deny deny that Amway is a get rich quick scheme. Making $100,000 in 3 months, 6 months, a year whatever time period the assholes in the Amway upline quote is pretty quick to most people. Amway is a get rich quick scheme for lazy ambots.

Or more accurately Amway is a get poor quickly scheme whether or not you’re lazy doesn’t matter, the odds are already stacked against you at 99%+ failure rate.

Most people who run their own businesses work long hours, maybe work every day of the week. These could be the same people who tried Amway and didn’t work out for them so they decided not to waste any more money on their pretend Amway “business” and quit to focus on their real business and real income. Ambots point fingers and accuse them of quitting cause they’re lazy. Lazy ass ambots who have likely never owned their own business and know what hard work is really like. And no. Putting on a suit and spending hours on phone calls and texts with the assholes in your Amway upline and pretending you own an Amway business does not make you a real business owner. If your last name ain’t DeVos or VanAndel then you do NOT own an Amway business.

When we were in Amway there were a lot of unemployed ambots and ambots who got fired. A person stopped by here to leave a comment said he had to fire an ambot. The usual reasons I think I’ve covered before. When you hire an ambot they’ve got better things to do than get the work done they’re paid to do. The better things they’ve got to do are taking/responding to phone calls and texts from the assholes in their Amway upline and harassing their coworkers to sign up, come to Amway cult meetings, buy Amway products. Some people could look at ambots as too lazy to get their job done. But ambots just got better things to do with their time. To hell with their boss.

I know if I was paying someone to get a job done and they were busy doing other stuff instead I’d be pissed.

Bottom line if people are lazy that doesn’t affect my life one way or the other. Unless of course I was paying them to do a job and they weren’t doing it.

So why are ambots so fixated on lazy? Why do they give a flying fuck if someone is lazy? How does it affect their life if someone is lazy? Why do they automatically label people who quit Amway as lazy? Why do they bother leaving comments on the marriedtoanambot blog that I am lazy because I quit Amway? Because they’re repeating the bullshit that the fucking assholes in their Amway upline say! Have to justify why all these people quit Amway. Couldn’t be that the person figured out it’s a scam and they’re not making money? Not according to brainwashed ambots. Its cause they’re lazy and that’s why they didn’t make money. Has nothing to do with the odds of actually making money only being a small fraction of 1% of IBO’s who sign up.

If an ambot tries to prospect you into Amway just tell them right off you’re lazy and you know that ambots go nutso and judgemental when it comes to what they perceive as lazy people so you know Amway will not be a good fit.

Can you just see that conversation plus the ambots have an answer to everything.

Prospect: no. I’ve worked hard all my life and now I’m trying the other side and loving being lazy.

Just because someone chooses not to do something or doesn’t do it to your standards doesn’t make them lazy.

Just cause someone isn’t in Amway doesn’t make them lazy. Just means they’ve got better things to do with their time and money. So fuck off judgemental ambots!
