Amway Will Ruin Your Life

People are finding their way to my blog after searching for “Amway will ruin your life”.

I’ve seen a lot of people leave comments on the Internet and even on my blog about the financial and emotional devastation that Amway inflicted upon them. 99% of IBO’s who sign up to be commissioned sales agents with Amway will lose money. That’s just the way the system is designed and part of the reason that Amway is known as a scam, a pyramid scheme, and Scamway.  

The minimum monthly amount of money an IBO has to spend in purchasing Amway products is about $300 to reach 100PV that magical number at which Amway will send out a commission check of about $10. But it don’t stop there. $50/month for premier membership to WWDB (World Wide Destructive Bastards) another $35 for monthly Communikate services, say at least $50/month buying useless “motivational” CDs and books, paying to go to Amway meetings, paying even more dollars to attend out of town Amway functions because then you have ticket costs plus transportation, food, hotel, etc. Call it an average of $700/month if you even out the costs of the functions over a year. That is the bare minimum if you don’t want your sack of shit Platinum ridiculing you at Amway meetings for not coughing up the cash to meet these requirements. CORE ambots or at least those who want to impress their upline will probably spend much more than $300/month on useless shitty overpriced Amway products and more on the tool scam.

How much you money you lose depends on how long you stick it out in the Amway cult. Could only be a few hundred bucks to several thousand to tens of thousands of dollars in losses. Much of those losses come from savings, selling the house and using the equity to “invest” in your Amway business, or going into credit card debt or taking out bank loans.

Some people can bounce back from the financial losses. A lot depends on how much they lost and how much income they currently earn. A person in their 20’s who loses $50,000 is more likely to recover than a senior citizen who wiped out their entire savings to chase the Amway nightmare. In many cases even though an IBO may have been involved in Scamway for only a year or two it takes many years to recover financially. Some ambots take harder hits than others and have to declare bankruptcy. Other ambots lose their houses because their upline counselled with them to skip a few mortgage payments in order to afford to go to the next Scamway function and the bank foreclosed on them.

Here’s a tip. If you’re planning to skip a mortgage payment talk to your bank first. Many banks allow their customers to skip a month due to temporary financial setbacks. Other banks let their customers skip a few payments but require them to make up the payments over the next few months adding on extra amounts to the mortgage payment until they’re caught up. If you skip a mortgage payment because you need to money to fund your Amway upline’s goals and stiff the bank without first discussing it with the manager they’re not going to be very happy. Banks don’t want to foreclose. They don’t really want to deal with someone’s house. They just want their money.

Its like the Amway cult leaders. They don’t really want to deal with their downline - they just want their money.

Another way Amway ruins people’s lives is by destroying relationships. The Amway cult leaders start out by separating the ambots from anyone in their lives who are not in Amway. That takes care of a lot of friends and family. If the ambot’s wife has not interest in Amway and can’t stand the Amway assholes then they work hard at convincing the ambot to leave the relationship because the Amway asshole cult leaders know that the spouse can get control of the finances and stop the flow of money to Amway. But sometimes the brainwashed ambot chooses the Amway assholes over their spouse. There’s another marriage ending in divorce thanks to Scamway.

Amway ruins many lives and people take to the Internet to share their Amway horror stories. Thats why at Amway meetings the Amway cult leaders order the ambots not to look for “negative” information on the Internet about Amway. According to Amway assholes the Internet is a bathroom wall polluted by losers and quitters.

And of course everyone finds their way to Anna Banana’s chamber of Amway horrors telling about the treatment you’ll receive from Amway assholes and this is the hell you have to look forward to if you stay in Scamway - being abused by your upline.

So one more time I send out a big old FUCK YOU to two of the biggest bastards who tried to ruin our lives - the asshole that sponsored us into Amway and our sack of shit Platinum!

Amway WWDB Spring Leadership 2012

Its that time of year where my blog is getting a lot of IBO’s searching for information on WWDB Amway Spring Leadership 2012.

So you know what that means?

Yup! Another post dedicated to misdirecting these “sharp” IBO’s to my blog! Gotta get those keywords in there!!!!

In order not to get accused of plagiarism I will recap the propaganda about the Amway WWDB Spring Leadership from the World Wide Dream Builders website. Its the usual hocus pocus double back talk that one typically hears at Amway meetings. The type of stuff they say where many people can agree with the statements. They talk about jobs. Not J.O.B.s. They also focus more on drawing in couples rather than singles. You know the old clap trap about this being a “family” run business. A desire for wealth and success and time to do what ever you want whenever you want. The kind of things that people would like to have in their lives. But how does it happen? Its got to do with some lousy fucked up ambot invading your life to make your worse nightmare come true!  That lousy fucked up ambot brings misfortune fear and unhappiness to the lives of whoever they touch bringing failure through a system designed for 99% failure rate leaving marriages in disrepair and people who were previously doing OK now filing for bankruptcy and having their houses foreclosed on them.

That’s what you have to look forward to if you attend Amway WWDB Spring Leadership 2012!

They even have some movie trailer to further brainwash ambots. No I did not watch it. I’m afraid I’d be tempted to throw something at my computer screen!

Tickets for Amway WWDB Spring Leadership cost $125 if you buy them ahead of time or $130 at the door. So if your upline says you have to buy them right now tell them to fuck off. If/when you decide to go you can buy them at the door. When the fucking upline argues that they might be all sold out just laugh in their face. We’re not talking about a Rolling Stones concert here! There will always be available tickets to some scumbag WWDB Amway function and you’ll take your chances!

One can only hope there will be no tickets left for sale! I was never that lucky!

Time for my short review.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Nothing like wrecking your Hawaiian vacation by attending an Amway function!

Now for some reason the bastards going to the Amway Spring Leadership meetings in Las Vegas and Spokane need 3 days for the function but the other cities only need 2 days. Does that mean the Las Vegas and Spokane attendees are a bunch of stupidos that need the extra day to get it? The IBO’s who are really “sharp” only need to attend one of the cities getting it done in 2 days.

What I see ahead of me is my usual posts on what to do in these cities instead of attending Spring Leadership. Tough because only two of those cities are what I think of as popular tourist destinations (Las Vegas and Honolulu) and maybe DC can go in that category too as a less popular tourist destination. Off the top of my head I can think of places to see and things to do in those 3 cities. But the rest of those places? Huh? Duh? What the fuck is there to do there? I guess I will be doomed to figure it out in my quest to divert IBO’s anxious to find information on Spring Leadership 2012 in those cities. Oh well. Just think of all the fun I’ll have reeling in those “sharp” IBO’s!

Dream Night January 2012

Ambots of the world reunite! Amway World Wide Dream Builders has a Dream Night event coming to a city near you real soon!

Which means I must write some posts full of keywords to help some unsuspecting IBO’s learn the truth about what they have in store.

Here’s a quick sum up: “Dream Night - where your dreams turn into nightmares!”

According to the WWDB site Dream Night 2012 will be held during January in these cities: Toronto, Kalispell, Saskatoon, Spokane, Edmonton, Helena, Toledo, Las Vegas, Ontario, Honolulu, Boise, San Diego, Tri Cities, Vancouver, Fargo, Fort Meyers, Portland, Oshkosh, Victoria, Minneapolis, Medford, Chicago, Reno, Edmonton, Billings, Richmond, Bellevue, Seattle, Calgary, Philadelphia, Sacramento, Dallas, Phoenix, Anchorage, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, Anaheim, Bakersfield, Colorado Springs, Denver, San Jose, Austin,

Our sack of shit Platinum used to say there was no reason to miss Dream Night even if you were out of town because there would always be a Dream Night near you. Also no problem if you had friends or relatives who lived out of town that you wanted to attend Dream Night because there would be one near where they lived and you could buy tickets for them. He went one further and said even if you were on vacation in Bermuda or Jamaica or wherever there would be a Dream Night being held somewhere near by. Maybe I’m a little off here but the above cities all appear to be in America or Canada. I don’t see London, or Tokyo, or Beijing, or Bogota. How can those World Wide Destructive Bastards call themselves the World Wide Group when their event is only being held in North America?

Judging by the proximity of some of those cities it would seem that some ambots could arrange to go to more than one Dream Night. But what about the poor bastards who live in Kentucky, Georgia, New Jersey, and other states where there is no WWDB Dream Night scheduled? Those poor ambots are going to become even poorer by hauling ass to another state to be brainwashed by their cult leaders.

Not Living the Amway Nightmare

I am one of the lucky ones who got away from the evil clutches of the Amway cult. Though these evil bastards had their clutches into Ambot and never me I suffered greatly through financial and emotional distress that those Amway assholes brought into our lives.

However I lived to tell about it and here we are at my blog. Getting the story of how I suffered at the hands of those evil Amway IBO’s helps others who are struggling within the evil grip of this cult.

One of the things I always heard at Amway meetings from one of the cult leaders was that they wake up and get out of bed when they’re done sleeping and wouldn’t the rest of us like to do that too.

Some of us already do that and have been doing that for many years. I wake up when I’m done sleeping. I’m usually done before 8am! I’ve got things to do and I need to haul my ass out of bed and get going.

I often heard Amway cult leaders talk about their last day at a regular job and how they busted their alarm clock. I bet soon enough they’ll regret that childish little move!

Just because I’m used to waking up whenever doesn’t mean I never set my alarm clock. I frequently get called upon to drive people to the airport. Oh yeah lets call Anna for a ride she doesn’t have anything better to be doing anyway. And what’s with everybody I know who seem to book flights for 7 or 8 in the morning????  That means hauling my sorry ass out of bed around 5am and I definitely have to set the old alarm clock for that one!

This weekend is Free Enterprise Days in Denver Colorado. There’s another FED in Portland Oregon early November. These two cities are a pain in the ass to access from eastern and southern parts of the US. I’m not talking about flying in because I think both these cities have decent airports and Denver is a major airline hub but anyone taking flights in is probably going to be frantically searching for an alarm clock to make sure they get out of bed in time to make their flight. I would say IBO’s in states adjacent to Colorado can drive there. Maybe. A friend of mine in Colorado said they already had snow a couple of weeks ago. So maybe a day’s drive to get to Denver. Maybe two days if you live a little further out. I’d think if it was a 2 day drive by the time you add up the cost of gas, wear and tear on the car, one night at a hotel on the road, and meals it would probably be cheaper to fly in.

My point is that those poor cult followers going to Denver are likely having to set their alarm both while on the road and while in their Denver hotel to make sure they wake up in time to get to the cult meetings.

So why all this interest in alarm clocks and waking up? Yup you guessed it. Keeping up with my usual wake up when I’m done sleeping today I slept in and I missed a couple of things I wanted to do!

Ambot’s advice? Tomorrow I should set my alarm clock!

Amway Nightmares

Don’t you just hate it when you wake up and can’t get back to sleep again? Even more so when whatever you were just dreaming about keeps you awake thinking about it and then thinking about other things that may be connected to that dream.

Well last night was one of those nights for me or I should say early this morning.

I was dreaming that I was standing somewhere talking to a person when out of the blue someone shot them. I saw who it was. Our Amway cult leader so I decided to get the hell out of there ASAP. That was when he started chasing me and kept shooting. I eluded him for a long time and then he caught up and shot someone else who was near to me. Then the Amway cult leader tells me he’s shooting people who won’t listen to tapes and that he won’t shoot me as long as I go to this location and listen to a tape. And just so he knows I’m going to the location he gives this top to me to wear that has a recording device on it so he’ll know if I’m asking anyone for help so he can kill both of us. I remember getting to the location but didn’t listen to the tape before I made another getaway and woke up. Even in my subconscious I still refuse to listen to Amway tapes! Fortunately my Ambot was not in my dream so I know he wasn't killed. Yeah it was a bizarre dream with the cult leader killing anyone who wouldn’t listen to Amway tapes. The man chasing me didn’t look a thing like our Platinum cult leader. He looked more like another infamous cult leader - Charles Manson - except this one’s hair and beard were a lighter color.

When I read Eric Scheibeler’s book Merchants of Deception he stated that some of the Amway cult followers told him they would do anything for their hallowed leaders. Die for them. Kill for them. No hidden message here about the threats. He genuinely feared for his life and his family.

Its incredible the horrible acts that cult followers can be induced to commit that they never would have considered prior to joining the cult. I don't think Scheibeler's upline were all that different than my own.

At meetings our Platinum cult leader often told us about the guy who recruited him into Amway. I never met the guy. He had long since quit Amway. Several people upline of the Platinum had quit over 10 or 15 years so now the person directly above our Platinum was the Emerald because everyone else inbetween had dropped out. When the Platinum sack of shit told us about his sponsor he said he threatened him when he signed up with Amway. Told him that if he didn’t make any money at Amway then he would break the guys arms and legs. Sometimes he’d change the story slightly and say the guys arms and legs would be torn out. You know if it was me I wouldn’t go around bragging about something like that. If anything ever happened to that sponsor, even after all these years, who is the first person who’s going to be a suspect?

Our Platinum claims to be a good Christian and at every Amway meeting told us that God is number one in his life. I don’t know. Good Christians go around threatening to tear out people’s limbs if they don't make money in Amway?

For Christsakes we'd be running into one armed and one legged people everywhere we go!

Kind of like Jack the Ripper. This guy ought to be known as Platinum the Ripper.

I just thought it was kind of stupid of the Platinum telling us this story at all and especially telling it when we’ve got a tape recorder running. One of these things that could come back and haunt him. I think the Platinum used that story as a moral that he made money in Amway because its easy to make money in Amway, therefore his sponsor didn't need to go in for limb replacement surgery.

But is our Platinum really making any money? For all I know there's a guy somewhere out there who's had his arms and legs removed all in the name of Amway upline devotion.

Dreams For Sale

This post is inspired by a Google ad that I’ve seen. “Buy dreams”. Interesting concept. Someone can’t think up their own dream so they have to buy someone else’s dream. I ought to try that as a sideline business. I need to think up some dreams, put a price tag on them, and start up an online store so that I can sell my dreams to someone suffering from a lack of dreams. The possibilities are endless of what I can think up that people might dream about: a yacht to sell around the world, a castle in Scotland, an island in the Caribbean, winning the Tour De France, climbing Mount Everest, a million dollars in the bank, a cure for cancer....

But that ad got me thinking about how Amway IBO’s are peddlers of dreams. IBO’s snag prospects by dangling dreams in front of them.

Once the IBO has the prospect hooked on imagining what it would be like to be financially free to afford their dream, then the whole Amway pitch comes out and if the dreamer is caught up in the hype they’ll fork over $150 for an Amway registration kit and then spend thousands of dollars chasing that elusive dream until they finally decide to cut their losses and walk away. Those same dreams are then used as weapons against the IBO when they’re quitting Amway.

“I guess your dream just wasn’t big enough,” taunts the upline.

Or maybe their dream was too big. Bigger than what they can make on an Amway income. Less than 1% of IBO’s make money in Amway. Our Platinum was always bragging that our Emerald’s income was in the top 25% of 1% of IBO’s. We now know those facts aren’t really impressive bragging rights at all. In his book Merchants of Deception, former Emerald Eric Scheibeler earned $35,000/year at his highest earning point. Based on what other former Emerald’s have said on the Internet about their income - about two or three thousand dollars a month - it would be a safe bet that our Emerald’s income was in that ballpark. That was my salary twenty years ago when I worked an office job in data entry. Its a nice average salary. I was able to buy a house and take vacations each year. That company offered the best benefits I’ve ever had in my life. 3 weeks paid vacation to start, increasing by a week after every 2 years employment, capping out at 10 weeks per year for long term employees which could be carried over to the next year. Shit there were some co-workers I didn’t see for months when management got after them to use it or lose it! Health and dental and retirement savings easily add thousands of dollars more in perks. Emeralds don’t get any of those perks. If they want them they have to dig deep in their own pockets.

Sometimes I can be a sucker. I clicked on the ad to see what kind of dreams are for sale.

There are no dreams for sale here. There are no nice houses, sports cars, luxury vacations. I don’t see any savings accounts holding millions of dollars. There is no world peace here either.

Instead I’m looking at pictures of that piss water XS, Nutrilite vitamins, SA8 laundry soap, and other Amway shit.

What the fuck? Talk about false advertising! I’ve hit some fucking IBO’s online store!

If you see that ad for “buy dreams” and click on it (and thanks by the way for putting another dollar into my bank account!) it takes you to an IBO’s portal page for flogging Amway products. You know the one they spend $50/month to World Wide Dream Builders or whatever LOS for premier membership and it includes that portal page in the monthly fee.

Don’t buy nothing! The only one who should make money on that click is ME. Not the IBO using the false advertising!

At least the IBO with the ad that says “Amway products for sale” and a link to their portal page is more honest. People can look at that ad and decide they don’t need Amway products today and not click on the link.

Holy shit! Did I just use the words “honest” and “IBO” in the same sentence???!!! That combination is pretty much a physical impossibility. If that IBO keeps up that kind of honesty they’ll be out of business very soon!

But back to the ad flogging dreams for sale. Maybe I’m being too judgemental. Dreams can be subjective. One person’s dream is another person’s hunk of junk. The ad offering dreams genuinely thinks that Amway products are dreams. Dreamy like Frankie Avalon in the beach blanket movies.

I disagree.

I’d rather title that person’s ad “nightmares for sale”.

Signs that Amway will soon take a back burner

The Internet is full of stories about marriages destroyed by involvement in Amway.

Most of the stories its the husband who’s the Amway keener and the wife who may be supportive at first then wants nothing to do with it, especially after she’s seeing how’s it changing her husband for the worse. Whether that’s because more men than women are involved in Amway or whether its because more wives hit the Internet to complain than husbands I don’t know. Sorry guys. This post is taking the position that the husband is the Ambot.

Its been my personal experience and from other stories I’ve read that the husband will usually leave Amway on his own inside one year due to one of several things happening:

1. He finally comes to senses after not signing up any IBO’s or finding retail customers and realizes that he’s wasting his time in this business. Amway’s bad reputation for overpriced products and abusive IBO’s is a tough obstacle to overcome. Most people he prospects have had bad experiences with Amway or know someone who has and don’t want nothing to do with it. The word is out: RUN don’t walk away from Amway!

2. He runs out of money or hits the limit on his credit cards. There’s no money left to fund his upline’s dreams. Unfortunately if he ran up thousands of dollars on his credit card the Amway nightmare might take years to pays off.

3. He stops going to Amway meetings or goes less often. That’s a good sign he’s become fed up and disenchanted with this business opportunity. Often he stops going because the speaker - usually the Platinum - insults him and mocks him for not being “man enough” to build a business.

4. He finally reads the fine print on his Amway business plan and realizes less than 1% of IBO’s actually make money and recognizes it for the shitty business opportunity it is.

5. He starts looking around on the Internet and gets answers to questions that his upline refuse to answer.

6. He stops buying shitty Amway products or less of them. Now this just might mean he’s low on money and this could only be a temporary setback but hopefully it means he saw similar products at Wal-Mart or Costco for a third to a quarter of the price and realizes Amway products are not such a good deal after all.

Now those are just a few signs to look for that he’s losing interest or has become disenchanted with the business, or had an argument with someone upline, or got tired of being mocked in meetings.

It doesn’t matter which one because he’s had enough and is on the way out. Wait it out. Don’t even mention anything about Amway.

There might be small setbacks when someone upline phones and bullies him into buying products or going to a meeting and his mind isn’t completely clear of the brainwashing and he complies.

A good counterattack is to plan fun outings on nights when Amway meetings are scheduled. If he chooses to go out and have fun with his wife instead of putting on a business suit and meeting up with the other cult followers, that means Amway is on the downslide.

Upline violating Amway's rules?

I can't tell you how many times we heard from our upline:

"If you don't buy the tools, I'm not going to work with you!"

Upline defined as the arrogant prick who sponsored my Ambot, his sponsor, and so and so on through to the pompous sack of shit Platinum and Emerald. I have tape recorded most of them saying this.

Tools = WWDB premier membership, Communikate, CD's, books, functions, seminars. They are referred to by Amway as Business Support Materials.

To paraphrase Amway, these tools are optional and IBO's should be guided by their own good judgement in deciding what's best and that their sponsoring upline is obligated to provide training and support whether or not the tools are purchased.

BULLSHIT!!!!

To paraphrase the pompous sack of shit, if you don't buy the tools and attend Amway meetings, then I'll know you're not a serious business builder and I won't work with you.

Being a devoted Amway cult follower, my Ambot religiously purchased not one, but many CD's and books every week and went to every Amway meeting, regional, major function, etc, etc. pouring thousands of dollars into the Amway nightmare.

Perhaps some of the recordings of the pompous sack of shit declaring his refusal to work with non-compliant downline should be forwarded to Amway.
