Is Amway Artistry Really In The Top 5 Cosmetics Brands?

**edited to add: If you're an Amway loser who wants to leave a comment and lie about which makeup the Miss America pageant uses, we recommend you go to the Miss America website first and look at their sponsors before you spread lies here and make yourself look like an even bigger Amway asshole**
You know how when you’re in Amway and listening to those liars up on the stage or maybe just listening to the lying sack of shit Platinum in a living room and these fuckers are gushing on about how Artistry cosmetics is in the top 5 in the world. I’ve written a couple of posts about this before and included a list of the top cosmetic brands. Amway was #17 on the list I think. Not too shabby but a far cry from the top 5.
Turns out that Amway is in the top 5 “prestige” cosmetics – what the fuck??? Ask women what they’re looking for in cosmetics and the answer ain’t prestige. We’re looking for cosmetics that get the job done for what we need it to do. We’re looking for good prices. We’re looking for cosmetics that look good on us. We’re looking for environmentally friendly products. We’re looking for fresh, new products. We’re looking for a good selection. Stuff like that. Who the fuck says they’re looking for “prestige”. Do dumb ass brainwashed Amway ambots even say that???? Doubt it. All they say is “top 5” which misleads people into thinking Amway Artistry is one of the 5 best brands in the world. An Amway IBO misleading someone? How unusual is that? NOT!!!!!
Turns out that Amway pays a marketing firm somewhere in Europe whose name escapes me and I don’t feel like looking at some old posts to refresh my memory. Some obscure company that no one on this side of the Atlantic has heard of anyway. Amway pays them and chooses a place in the standings. Why they choose #2 instead of #1 I don’t know. I don’t know if this is a lifetime placing or they pay every year for their spot.
Here’s a list of the top cosmetics brands in 2012. (updated 2015)
You can check out the top 50 cosmetics brands for 2016 here.

There’s never much movement in the top 10 – Avon, L’Oreal, Estee Lauder, Lancombe, Nivea, Olay, and so on are always pretty much there but they might slip up or down a place. Amway Artistry isn’t in the top 5. Hell Amway Artistry ain’t even in the top 50 as of 2012 so that’s a huge slide for them in a matter of a few years. The lowest spot had 250 million in sales so Amway Artistry is lower than that. And is that a big surprise. Normal women who are not brainwashed ambots don't want to pay big bucks for overpriced substandard cosmetics. I can buy Avon face cream for $10 if its on sale compared to $50 or $60 for similar Amway product. Amway has a shitty selection when it comes to lipstick and eye shadow colors. A recent comment left by one of my readers said she sat her ambot husband down and went over the ingredients in an Amway cosmetic product and pointed out the problems in the ingredients they weren’t environmentally friendly or linked to a disease or something along those lines. Some women don’t care and others say no fucking way am I putting something like that on my skin.
So there you have the list of the 2012 top 50 cosmetic brands in the world click on it if you want but Amway Artistry ain't there. If some Amway asshole tries to convince you to buy Artistry cosmetics because its one of the top 5 cosmetics show them this list and have them point out which one of those top 5 in the world is Artistry. Tell the Amway jerk you prefer to buy from better companies, who are really top brand companies instead of some shitty rip off cosmetic clinic that has to lie about where their standing is.

  1. I dont think the quality of products matter. I presume all the products are low cost generic copies. Noone wants to buy them in any case. Its only ibos buying from their own store products they dont need and at a big premium. This could be selling week old newspapers. The idea is to get as much money as possible upline.

    1. Anonymous - you're correct. Amway Artistry cosmetics are low cost to make, generic products at premium prices and nobody outside of brainwashed ambots wants to buy them.

    3. Just bc u do not feel that you should by top notch products does not mean everyone feels the same way. I used to use those over the counter makeup and try Artistry it felt better went on better i rather pay more money for what i like then something of a lesser quality

    4. I have used their the product and they have great products and made my skin feel great. I believe I'm worth buying something that has a price that is worth the product. cheep things end up causing more damage in the long run. So i don't know that those people are talking about.

    1. Hi Anonymous. I've written about that in lots of other posts. To sum it up Ambot started questioning the assholes in our Amway upline about the compensation and got the old Amway runaround: lie, deny, and distract. He also finally had enough of being bitched at and abused by the fucking assholes in our Amway upline. Now that he's out he knows Amway is a scam. Most ambots figure that out after they quit.

    4. Hi,
Firstly - if somebody chooses to do Amway then let them goddamn do it. Just like if somebody wants to be a Tupperware or body shop consultant. Who's to say they're not going to be successful? I myself personally KNOW and have spent quality time with a couple that make $150,000 per MONTH from Amway alone. If you can't do the math, that's about $2,000,000 per year. Not to mention all the free overseas holidays they have been on.
I have used Artistry products myself and I can vouch for them. I received so many compliments while using them, too. I was also skeptical at first so I did my research on the brand and products and found that, as Amway stated, Artistry was indeed in many "top five makeup brands" lists online. I can show you them if you like.

You are allowed to have your own opinions, but don't go shoving them down everyone else's throat. So Amway didn't work for you, it doesn't mean it can't and won't for thousands of other people in the world.

      Delete
    5. Hi Anoymous. Like you said if someone wants to do goddamn Amway then Idont have much choice to let them do it or anything else they want to do. We're here to tell the horrors of what happened to us and the financial and emotional distress. It makes me sad that I can't stop some people from walking down the path to hell that we went on but I get it that some people have to make their own mistakes.

Unless you actually saw tax returns or checks I'd take those figures with a grain of salt. That's more money per month than Amway literature says a Diamond can expect to earn per year. Many Diamonds have stood on stage and bragged about their riches and how they pay everything with cash and ha their homes foreclosed and declare bankruptcy.

That's what blogs are all about writing your opinion of something. Where am I shoving it down other peoples throats? I don't force people to come here and read. I don't advertise this blog anywhere. People come here cause they did a search and liked what they saw and stick around to read.

      Delete
    6. $150,000 per MONTH??? BWAHAHAHAHA!!! And did they also tell you that they had dinner the night before with President Obama and own the Eiffel Tower? Part of being in Amway is laying it on thick about how much money is being earned by them and the amazing lifestyle that they have, without having to give any proof. Vacation photos? So? My wife and I have photos of us at nice hotels and tropical beaches. Do I make $150,000 a month? Uh, no. Plus often the things ambots purchase or do are from their J.O.B. and they attribute it to Amway in order to draw in new suckers.

The author of Merchants of Deception was a Platinum who had 1,000 people in his downline, and yet only made at best $30,000 a YEAR. Doing the "math" (as anonymous puts it) would mean that "friend" would have to have something like 60,000 people in their downline. And remember, we are talking about 60,000 people of whom 99.9% of them will ultimately be making nothing, if not LOSING money. So keeping 60,000 people bullshitted to "hang on, success is just around the corner" indefinitely is like herding cats. Most will wise up within months or a year or two (or run out of money) and drop out, so to keep that money rolling into the top of the pyramid would mean replacing them. And as most who have got stuck in the Amway scam can attest to, getting ANY new recruits is quite difficult as most folk's bullshit alarm starts going off when they notice after all the circles are drawn and talk of dreams and bragging of wealth is over, very little hard math is given.

So I think it's safe to say either Anonymous' friend is a lying sack of shit or Anonymous is, or both.

    1. Hi Anonymous. Thanks for stopping by. I guess you missed the posts where I did talk about complaining to Amway and they did fuck all. That's why this blog exists. Mor effective to get the word out about the assholes in our Smway upline, shitty overpriced products, useless functions, and a head office that does fuck all when you complain to them. Hopefully people will get the message to stay away from Amway. Tis company has brought misery to so many lives.

      Delete
    2. "Missy". lol Who except 80 year old men call women that?

Everyone has a right to a forum to complain about a company that exists on recruiting a constant stream of new suckers in to replace the 99.9% of them that fail (this figure from Amway's own fine print).

If people don't like it they don't have to come to this blog. But of course the 80 year old man above knows that Amway's worst enemy are forums that expose their scam of selling lies and bullshit to empty the pockets of new recruits while brainwashing them with CD's and books and conventions. An educated public means fewer new recruits to get tricked into joining.

Keep up the good work, Anna. When you get hate mail from the brainwashed ambots it means you are hitting them too close to home and, like cockroaches, they scurry when anyone tries to turn on the kitchen light of truth.

    4. Anonymous - most people start businesses to make money not to become a better person. Becoming a better person might be part of becoming a business person but it should not be your sole reason for starting a business. It should be to make money. You can't pay the rent and put groceries on the table just because you're a better person. You need real cash for that.

    6. Oh about that I made lots of money with any opportunities, I seen, why because of the education of Amway. Im a better person and complain less about failures in any part of life. I got in Amway because of the Education, its different from school or universities. I make the best of everything because Amway thought me how to. Amway is not a lottery ticket, plus people think winning in Amway is getting money, but its actually when You get in the Education is when people start winning. Look at the Dimonds or Crowns they are the best knowledge I ever seen. I rather learn from them then my Teachers at school.

      Delete
    7. I truly hope you are not a native English speaker.

Either way, STAY IN SCHOOL. Your teachers will teach you more important information than your Diamonds and crowns. People get into the business to make money. Period. You are lying to yourself. You decided to shill products for Amway to get an education? Tell me, please, a tidbit of EDUCATION you have received. Please nothing about encouragement, not quitting, positive mindset, 'leadership', or any ambiguous nonsense they hand out as 'useful knowledge'. I want a legit point of actual, practical knowledge, not allegorical self-help banter.

Think about it, why are teachers poor and hate their jobs?, because they fail to get the career they wanted and all they have is to teach students how to be poor like they are, im learning from a poor society, trying to make me fallow all rules and not show what is my real potential. Thank you but no, im deciding to learn how to think like a rich, the crowns and diamonds got to were they are because they change their way of thinking and they dont have a lot of school knowledge, but crowns or diamonds that do. they say Amway learning is better, so why I want to go to school and waste my time learning how to get a job and work for my rest of my life. No, open your mind and learn how to make your dreams come true. the crowns learn a lot with real knowledge about life. you want a legit point, well keep going to school and watch the results comparing of learning from this Amway knowledge that teaches you about life. The summary is To learn from a rich person, and not from poor teachers that hate there job.

    9. (I haven't checked in on this post in a while and found this gem)

Anon, can I have fries with that?
I will repeat stay in school, over and over, until hopefully an Ambot doesn't come here an spout a pile of misspelled, horribly grammatically incorrect, doom and gloom about society outside of being an IBO.

"Think about it, why are teachers poor and hate their jobs?"
I don't know of any poor teachers, especially those tied to teachers unions. I could imagine they hate their jobs because they had hoped to help mold the youth of the world and run into entitled, spoiled, and disrespectful people, as you seem to be.

Poor teaching the poor to be poor in a society of the poor? This mentality may have just given me an aneurysm. If universities consistently taught people how to be poor, and in turn created more poor people to be trained to be poor, NOBODY WOULD ATTEND UNIVERSITY.

Amway learning is better to help you fulfill your dreams? What if someone's dream is to be a doctor? A teacher? A lawyer? An actor? A pilot? A biologist who scuba dives with sharks to study them (it happens to be on my TV right now)?

I'm sure thinking 'like a rich' got all of them to those positions. Those diamonds and crowns profit from you putting your educational funds into them, and what exactly do you get in return? Books and CDs you can't resell, a 'mentality', and nothing you could show for your efforts if being an Ambot isn't for you.
College grads make 60% more money, on average, than high school grads, and even college dropouts make more than high schools grads. All of them, on average, make more than being a member of an MLM.

    11. Again, an Ambot tries to defend their side, but does not refute anything I have to say. It is like arguing with a pillow.

      Totally irrelevant.

  7. The problem that these people miss is that Amway is a supplier of products. This "ambot"s upline and his entirr group are probably part of a bad group of amway distributers. You are condemning a world wide company over a small lying group of people. You instantly assume everyone is "brain washed" and chances are you just work for some other MLM just trying to lower credability. You can't condemn every single amway person for one lying platinum. There are different groups. Amway just distributes, what they say is not what amway says. As far as lying about thier make up. They dont. They specifically say "top 5 prestige brand". If you want to buy your make up at walmart, go for it!

    1. Cody0226 - the problem is more than just a small group of people. When I have people from all over the world showing up and saying the same thing then it's pretty obvious that everyone involved with Amway is a liar. I don't know who your "they" are who ALWAYS say top 5 "prestige" brand but I have tape recordings of just about everyone in my upline including several Diaminds from the stage all bragging about how Amway is in the top 5 cosmetic companies in the world and nowhere not a single one of them say "prestige". It's all part of the Amway smoke and mirrors scam. You bet I'll buy my makeup at Walmart. Not only do they sell most of the top 10 brands in the world there they have a huge selection and great prices and great quality. Claims that Amway cant make! As for our sack of shit Platinum Amway fired him last year and he now works for Monavie. So if you want to think I followed him over to that MLM you go right ahead and think that.

Why are you ambots so scared of the truth getting out there and bringing this scam to light so we can stop more victims from being abused? If you really had concerns you'd be going to your bosses at Amway and asking them what plans they have to rectify their bad reputation. Do they plan to offer good products at reasonable prices? Do they plan to crack down on Scamway troublemakers? I doubt it so you ambots got to do the best you can to defend the company you work for as commissioned salespeople. No one around here plans to give it a rest anytime soon.

Just because 1 product is not what it is, doesn't mean all the product are of bad quality. Say for example the supplement side of Amway is no.1 in the world. So don't look at 1 product and expect all the others to be of the same quality, plus its not the products but the money that everyone is interested in, so if you look at how much Amway has grown then you would see.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Anonymous - 1 product? Are you fucking kidding me? Amway has warehouses full of substandard products they sell at overinflated prices so everyone can make a bit of commission of each sale. At best Amway sells generic products at overinflated prices. And sure some of the products are OK but not their price tags! I can buy better quality products than what Amway sells for much lower prices at just about everywhere. There's a reason why less than 5% of Amway's sales are to people who are not IBO's. The only people buying are ambots and a handful of friends and family they convinced to make pity purchases. Once people quit Amway they stop buying their shitty overpriced products.

    2. Another product is their fish oil supplement
half the amount of fish oil pills compared to the local store and twice the price

Even their Nutrilite brand snack bars. You get like 12 for 20 bucks and they are small so if you compare the per oz price compared to comparable snack bars and tack on shipping you are paying more.

      Delete
    3. Hi RBot, if you have ever looked into their fish oil you will actually notice that while it may appear to be less for more, you are actually getting a whole lot more than what it may appear. Have you seen all these krill oil ads on television lately? Meant to be so much better for you than fish oil? Will Amway's fish oil is proven to be just as effective, if not more, than Krill oil. Not only that, but the entire process is controlled, monitored and undertaken by ONE company.

These people targets below averge people to earn big money. Let me tell you guys: I am a girl who was born in Vancouver, Canada - when I was aged 3 years old, I went to Hong Kong to study in Canadian International School of Hong Kong from kindergarden to grade 8. Then, I transfered back to Vancouver to study from grade 9 to 11 - I went to Macquarie University, Sydney Australia to study Foundation to University degree. Really? $xBillion a year globally, but what about your country?
Seriously, I live in the US, and every ambot has come to me with this huge number, not telling me that less than 20% is domestic, and is dropping (in Canada and US especially).
Some opportunity. "Jump on the sinking ship!"

  11. "What works on one person might not be so good on someone else."...The same claim applies to the Amway business; it can be the best tool for one person to achieve its goals, yet for another it can be just one more failure. Just think about it, the Amway business model is the same in all the world, the only element that changes, is the person.

    1. Daniela - that phrase could apply to many things in life. Seeing as how you live somewhere that has banned Amway then you don't get a chance to look at the Amway literature. In small print under the possible compensation it says someone like only .0002678% will earn this money and it ain't very much money. And that's not the exact figure cause I don't remember it but it's only a fraction of 1% of Amway ambots who will make money. Read between the lines or reverse it and that means there's over 99% failure rate. That high? Means the system is designed for failure. And yes some people do make that fraction of 1%. They are very good at lying and scamming and have no conscience they're destroying other people's lives. Fortunately for that 99% their morals kick in and their conscience won't allow them to lie and scam. And no you are dead wrong that the Amway business model is the same all over the world. Well maybe for other scams. Try reading some of the blogs that are linked on the top right hand of this page and they go over the business more than we do here .

    2. Hi, Anna...
I dont know that why you are so much against the Amway business and its products. I m using these products since many years, and not only Artistry, i use other products too, but never ever experienced any problem with the products. I am so much benefited using Artistry and Nutrillite products.
By profession i am a Doctor and i can tell you that there is no such thing in any of the product from Amway that will lead to any disease instead these products are really environmental friendly and healthy to use.
One more thing i would like to add up here that no two bodies are same, even the identical twins have different fingerprints. So it is not necessary that if a product or business model doesn't work for you (Might be its only you who actually didn't understood the business model and its products), then it will also not work for others too.

    3. Hi Vishi if you really are a doctor then it just goes to show that Amway cultists can brainwash anyone. Actually getting a doctor into a downline is a real accomplishment because then the Ambot can go around bragging about how legit their scam is because otherwise why would a doctor sign up.

I don't like Amway products because I don't like getting ripped off overpaying for shitty products.

And yes we understand the Amway "business plan". And even if we didn't we can understand the small print in the Amway literature where it says less than a fraction of 1% of IBO's who sign up can expect to make money.

      SCAM!!!

  12. So I have been to two different Amway meetings, Talked to 20+ different people in Amway making monthly PROFITS of at least $800+, seen the the paychecks and proof, and researched for 3 days about the business. The only way to be "scammed" out of money in the business is to be a complete idiot and not know how to run a business. Secondly, the phrase "What works for one person might not work for another", does apply to the products and the company itself. Just because you disagree and it didn't work for you doesn't mean it won't work for anyone. I have read multiple reviews on many different sites and yes some of Artistry's products are not that great but some are amazing. Also, Please explain to me why the miss America women would put on makeup that wasn't amazing? Why would one of the most famous pro-football players would use Nutrilite if it was bad? and why almost every major multi-million/billion dollar companies would want their names on a pyramid scheme aka scam (which is illegal in all 50 states)Are you telling me that all the CEO's of those companies are all idiots and would risk being a huge a fraud lawsuit, which would cost them millions? Stop looking at Amway and start looking around it at the big picture. When you look at the sky do you stare at one star and see a bright light or do you look at the stars around it and see a beautiful constellation? If you go to (lets just say) Target and (lets say) everyone there is an asshole, are you going to now believe that every person at every Target is an asshole? Thank for reading. None of this is meant to be stab directly at you it is for the general public that believe what you believe, so don't take anything personally and if you criticize, don't criticize me just my work. thanks again have a nice day.

    1. Anonymous - why would you insult people who don't have what it takes to run a business and call them idiots? Not everyone has what it takes to run a business mentality, physically, or financially but the only ones calling them idiots are Amway ambots. You're doing well at learning how to be a condescending Amway asshole after just. 2 meetings!

Did you actually see a commission check or just a photocopy? Ambots have 2 ways of doing this that I know of. They photocopy the check and doctor it to change the amount and photocopy it again so the changes can't be detected on a copy. The other thing they do is buy a bunch of Amway products and then return them all for a refund check which they pretend is money they made.

Miss America gets paid by Amway to endorse their products. Pay anyone enough money and they'll say whatever is in the script.

Amway is all about scamming people. I recommend you read a free ebook called Merchants of Deception and you'll see the lines this guy heard 20 years ago are still being said today. There's a link to download it on the right side of this page.

Look at the literature you got about the expected income. It's in the small print and it's a number that's a fraction of 1%. In other words that's over 99% failure rate according to Amway's own literature. You can't find a business opportunity with a better chance of success?

      Delete
    2. You know I specifically put in there not to take anything personally and yet you still do and still stab at me? It is just sad, that you can't even be kind of enough to not stab directly at me and yet I am the asshole? Okay, because you know everything right? Everyone does have what it takes if they choose to have it. I believed that before Amway was even introduced to me. Everything in this world is mind over matter, it has been scientifically proven. You obviously don't know much about technology, because if you did you would that a photocopy of a photocopy would look like shit and be obvious it was a fake. So yes it was real and it wasn't just the one, some of them had a book. Before you go all "They faked all of them", I currently work as a networking and computer specialist. Oh, and stop treating everyone as if they are under you on the totem pole. I have read the fine print and I saw the percentage and I know how much it takes to make that kind of money. Fortunately in this world now-a-days no matter what job you have or what business you own, it is all about who you know not what you know. So if you don't have connections in various places owning any business is difficult. Did you know statistically that 50% of all businesses fail in the first year and that up to 95% of the ones that make it past that fail within the next 4 years? Probably not. Does that percentage sound pretty close to yours? Yes it does, the only difference is if you fail in Amway you might have "lost" a couple thousand dollars where as all those other businesses that failed actually lost 10's to 100's of thousands of dollars.

    3. Anonymous I was kind to you. Amway ambots can't open their eyes and see it. I'm here trying to save you from the misery I know is ahead of you but I realize that some people have to make their own mistakes. You have to decide how important it is to to be a commissioned salesperson for a company where you will constantly have to lie, deny, defend, and distract. Most people can't keep that up and look for better places to work.

      Delete
    4. I appreciate the kindness. My last rebuttal is that you say that in Amway I would have to "lie, deny, defend, and distract" as if no one in any company does. First, every business does that. Second, it may seem like I am arguing, but really I am just doing more research. They have yet to see $200 come out of my pocket. As if I would really just hand it over without trying the products firsthand and seeing how the money really works. So I appreciate the advice and you trying to "save me from the misery". All in all I am a learner of my own mistakes not others. Just because you or someone you know failed and truly believe all the products are garbage doesn't mean everyone will and everyone else does to. Thank you! ^_^

    5. Anonymous - I could never do well in Amway because I'm too truthful. I told potential prospects about how much money we were losing. I can't lie about how Amway products cure cancer and other ailments just to make a buck. You need to read the free ebook Merchants of Deception - link on the right side of this page under Amway links - to read how an Emerald only makes about 30k. Plus the abuse. Sure the ambots are nice to you now while they love bomb you and your cross line who won't make any money off you will probably always be nice. In a few months when you haven't signed up any recruits or bringing prospects to meetings the abuse will start. That's how it is in a cult. Love and abuse to demand complete obedience.

    6. Anonymous, thank you for your posts, they are the most factual that I have read in this thread. Anna, I am not trying to attack you, but you don't have much in facts beyond the fact that Amway did not work for your family. You continually say that Amway is all about lies and point to the Merchants of Deception but how can you prove that this book is factual? Perhaps the author is bitter over a failed business. A lot of people get into Amway thinking that it is a get rich quick business but it is not at all. The concept is simple but the work is hard. It is owning your own business, of course the failure rate is high, people don't put the work into it that results in a successful business. Success in Amway is not based on lies, it is based on hard work, determination, and consistency. People can't expect someone to buy something from them once and then sit back and expect the customer to keep coming back. It takes work, just like with any other business. If Amway was such a scam would the president of Amway have been elected as the head of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce? Anyone I have talked to in the business does say that Artistry is in the top 5 prestige makeup brands. Sandra Bullock is quoted in Forbes attributing her great skin to using Artistry products. I don't know about you but I think she looks amazing! If you do the research on Nutrilite, you will find that it is top rated, ahead of GNC in just about everything. Amway partners with 1100 other companies, I honestly don't think companies like Disney, all major cell phone carriers, Bass Pro Shops, Sears, Rachel Ray, Michael Kors, Cuisinart, APPLE, would get involved with a company that was truly a scam. Regarding the business structure; every successful business is structured as a pyramid: take any restaurant, you have 1 owner, maybe 2 managers, 4 assistant managers, 5 chefs, 8 servers.... draw that out what does it look like? I'm not here to attack anyone, I'm just here to defend the company that has changed my life for the better in countless ways.It is unfortunate that you had experience with a bad upline and I am sorry for that but you will find bad business owners in any industry. I guarantee your experience and opinion would be much different if your upline was truly honest and caring because they do exist. The facts to support me are out there, it just takes the research of FACTS instead of just reading opinions.... believe it or not, not everything you read on the internet is true! :)

    7. Anonymous - this blog is devoted more to cursing out the assholes in my upline who are the same assholes in everyone's Amway upline and letting the world know what lies to expect. For facts about how Amway is a bad business opportunity you need to read other bloggers sites. Amway is a blame the victim scam and they've brainwashed you to believe their propaganda. I hope you don't suffer too much emotional and financial damage before you get out of this cult.

And yes you're right blogs are opinion pieces that also get th facts out there. My opinion is my Amway upline is a bunch of assholes. On the other hand you in your brainwashed fog might think they are awesome. That's the word ambots still overuse isn't it?

    8. Wow, this last guy has every Amspeak talking point down pat. I always laugh when someone uses a celebrity's name to prove something is good. "Wow, Tom Cruise says Scientology is legit, so it must be!" The large name companies don't have "partnerships" with Amway, Amway just sells their products (with a big mark up, of course) same as the liquor store selling Pepsi doesn't mean the owner of the liquor store is having business lunches with the CEO of Pepsico.

A pyramid scam isn't just the way the diagram looks when it is drawn, it's how it all works. A true pyramid scam works like a Ponzi scheme, and like all MLM's it is based more on luring in more and more recruits to buy into it than selling the products as a legit business. They do some of that, but most is self-consuming.
It's hard to defend Amway as a "great business opportunity" when even on their own literature (in small print, of course) they have to admit that less than 1% of those who become IBO's will ever make anything. And it's foolish to think that all 99% of them were "lazy losers who didn't put in the time and work to the business". So many personal horror stories of those who did everything their upline told them to and in the end only destroyed their finances, friendships and families.
I find it hard to believe when people say they are "successful" at it, unless they are a part of the lucrative "tool" side market of Amway. The number of downlines and legs they'd have to keep going from month to month just to break even is high, and since 99% of them will be LOSING money, they will keep dropping out constantly requiring new suckers to be recruited. It's like herding cats.
Good luck to anonymous, but the vast majority of those who get involved in Amway have their lives negatively affected, and that is why blogs like this are around... to get around the double talk, drawing circles, lovebombing, constant repetitive brainwashing meetings, talking "dreams" bullshit and lay out the actual numbers and facts involved.

    9. Just jumping on the train here. How can you get offended, Mrs. Banana, by this person calling people idiots when you openly destroy those that know how to run a business. Maybe it's the being retired at 30 or the Maserati talking, but even by google-ing Amway, it's obvious that the company is run on *networking*. The only reason that this is a 'scam' and a 'cult' is because people are too lazy to try.
Also, if you want to make a valid argument, try using less language. It brings more power to your words and makes you sound a little more educated.
and sources too. basing your whole argument on a firm that "the name escapes" you, and you "don't feel like looking" almost proves that you have many holes in your argument.
Call me an 'Ambot' all you want, but if I were to try to preach the lies of Amway, I would at least do some research.
All I see from your article is a woman that thought this was a get-rich scheme and found out she was wrong.
Good luck on your future bashing.

    10. "..those who know how to run a business". Hahahaha... certainly can't be talking about someone who is a self-consuming commissioned sales person/recruiter (known within Amway itself by the misnomer "independent business owner".

Those who truly know how to run a business keep track of their profit/loss statements, do the math and aren't blinded by talks of "dreams" and pouring money into overpriced products and brainwashing meetings/cds/books that all say the same thing to "motivate" the brainwashed individual to ignore all reality.

Good luck, Anonymous, on your journey through Amway... because since less than 1% of those who do it ever make any profit (remember that math thing we talked about? Spending like $300 to get a $10 check? That's not a "profit"), you'll need all the luck you can get.

  13. Two meetings? Were they the simple hotel meetings or larger conferences? The big ones tend to have those few successful people speaking and bringing their checks to have downline take pictures with.
If it was a smaller one, did they each have one check? Or multiple? My connection to Amway made nearly $800 in her first month (before expenses of course) due to a huge opening and bonuses that came with a quick start. That check would be brag worthy, but, the next check was around $150 (a bonus helped it up). All the sales had diminished. Few repeat customers. Even less the next month. That check was around $50. So sure, they may have that ONE check, but it is no sign of continuing success.

As for everything else you mentioned... follow the buck. That football player is retired and could use endorsement money (trust me, because someone endorses something doesn't mean they use it... I've seen it). As for Miss America, if another company put up more money, they would have that slot. The companies in question, well, millions of relgiously devout IBOs who will choose your products based on blind loyalty, deal.

Frankly, if Amway were sold in any other fashion, it wouldn't take the heat, wouldn't be dealing with previous lawsuits, wouldn't have blogs denouncing them, would be more competatively priced, wouldn't have a stigma surrounding it, etc. No one is saying Amway itself is fradulant, the AMO's are always the problem.

The problem is selling hope not soap. If IBOs had to have 20 customers, would there be such an emphasis on recruitment? On training? If they told you the truth, no one would sign up.

"You can make a few thousand a year, working tirelessly, signing people up, selling a few products, but mostly buying them. You'll spend thousands a year on 'becoming a better person', which will offset any earnings, and in the end you'll have a pile of friends who will leave you at the drop of a hat, the moment you realize you are spinning wheels."

    Yeah, sign me up.

    1. If their numbers where going down then they were doing something seriously wrong. It doesn't matter what business you are in if you know how to run it and have connections your numbers will go up. If you don't have connections in this world it doesn't matter who you are you can't go anywhere. Also explain to me why a world renowned chef would use the Nutrilite products? (and no he doesn't just sponsor it on Amway) He actually does use it and sponsors and recommends it on his tv show and on his website. And what the hell are you trying to say about the partnerships? It sounds like you were trying to use words that even you can't comprehend. That or you missed some words in there. " The companies in question, well, millions of relgiously devout IBOs who will choose your products based on blind loyalty, deal." That sentence makes no sense. I has nothing to do with the companies themselves being involved with Amway. Deal? what is this a game show? If so, I say No Deal. Oh, and one more thing, if you have friends that will "drop you like a hat" first, it is a disgrace to be dropping hats, and second you might want to look into getting some better friends anyway. Every friend I claim to be a friend would never drop me like a hat.(Trust me, I have been through much worse than any so called "scam" and they never left my side.) So yeah look into the chef, get some facts about the companies other than "deal", and start looking for better friends.

    2. Lie, deny, distract, and defend. Get used to living your life like that if you get trapped in the Amway scam. Ever have to work that hard to convince others at any legitimate company you've worked for?

      Delete
    3. I apologize if you have a hard time grasping the English language. IBOs are relgiously devout to Amway, AMOs and anything they say. So, if a company signs a partnership, the millions of IBOs will simply choose your company, based on the partnership. If I were one of these companies, I would say "deal" "Yeah, count me in" "millions of easy customers, sounds good".

Your arguement about the chef is just like any other celebrity, pay them, and they will put it on their TV show, book, magazine article, whatever. It is nothing new. All companies do it. There's no shame in it. The shame comes from you thinking they absolutely use it. If a celebrity is in a series of commercials for a brand of potato chips, does that mean said celebrity eats them constantly, or at all?

As for your friends, make sure you get as close to them as you can in the business. (If you meant friends outside the business, I apologize for the misunderstanding. I mean Amfriends) Amfriends are Shamfriends. Get real close to them, so they can be the ones to crush everything you believe in, in Amway.

Your arguements are crass, blind, and groundless. If I had said chef you would have said football player. If my example had years of big checks then dropped off, you would say they messed up. It is never the system's fault. Congratulations, you have replaced your infaliable diety with an infaliable "system". Does the system work in mysterious ways, anon?

How about you come with better arguement than "I don't understand you so I am going to pretend its your fault." Deal?

    4. I don't have a hard grasping the English language, that is, when it's grammatically correct. What you are not grasping is the fact that you have yet to explain why those multi-million dollar companies would sign with a scam that could cost them millions. Obviously IBO's will see them as a good reference tool to get people to join the company, but that has nothing to do with question. Get it yet?

Once again, I bring up the fact of why would they sign with a scam company that could cost them millions for illegal fraud?

Yes I did mean my close friends, but even then just because the people you met are "shamfriends" doesn't mean the one I have are. That is like you telling me not to buy (for example) a Honda Fit, because the one you had had problems. Not everybody is the same in a business.

My arguments are not "crass, blind, and groundless". Yes I might have said football player if you had said chef, but no if you had used an example of years of big checks then they dropped off, I would have been surprised and wondered "Why?" You say that I would "It is never the systems fault"? HAHA That is funny, because every system in the world has faults. I even guarantee Amway's system has them, but wherein lies the issue of if it is the systems fault or the persons is quite easy to figure out actually. You see only the people who know that every system has faults are the ones who find away around them and make it work.
No the system does not work in mysterious ways, but God does. You say scam, I say challenge, you say it doesn't work and it is a failure waiting to happen, I say lets make it work and see what happens. See the difference between us? You see it as an impossible quest and I see it as a car needing a tune up.

So how about you re-evaluate you own life before telling me how to live mine.

P.S. The only people that I have ever seen or heard say "Deal?" in that manner are adolescent teens in middle school trying to pick on the little guy. Grow up.

    5. These businesses join the partnership for a multitude of blindly reliable customers. Got it?

I never said scam. Don't place words in my mouth in typical Ambot fashion. Amway itself isn't a scam, just a poor "opportunity".

Your car analogy only furthers my arguement. This isn't one driver of one car, is it? Many complaints of many uplines, all with the same excuse.... it must have been a different LOS.

Well, not everybody in this is the same? You done what every other Ambot does in defense of their business. First, you assume I'm living a terrible life, and tell me to back off of you, and focus on me. Why are you here? Not focusing on yourself?
Next, you challenge my maturity, because Ambots are so much more mature than society. I'll go on to beleive that next you will challenge my manhood. Then, my occupation. Then, my intelligence. By the book.

You, just like any number of molded ambots feed the same muddled mess of answers, challenges, and questions. You say the people aren't all the same, but prove otherwise.

Go live your life, enjoy the challenge of the snipe hunt. Deal?

They need to find a less time consuming job. But it keeps this cosmetics post at the top of the search engines. They're just angry to find out the bullshit they've been plugging is all a lie.

  18. So this is your reason:
    1. You show a link from Brand Directory about 50 cosmetics brands
    2. You assume that Brand Directory did research of every cosmetics company and make a list of 50 top cosmetics brand by brand value (not sales like you said, I don't think brand value = sales)
    3. You reason that if Amway Artistry is not in the list, it's not one of top 50 cosmetics brands.

The failure of the reason is that Brand Directory only list the public company in the list. Amway is a private company, so they don't calculate the brand value and put in the list. It's very simple and you don' get it, or I would say you just grasp everything that would appear to befits your biased opinion about Amway.

Why I say that? Because you said "I’ve written a couple of posts about this before and included a list of the top cosmetic brands. Amway was #17 on the list I think." and still show the list of Brand Directory (without Amway in the top 50).

So, I would say that you don't really have the list with Amway at 17th position. If I'm wrong, can you show it (and show the numbers that rank Amway 17th.

    1. "Hmmmm are we not in the country where anyone can get sued for misleading information,or make false staments.."

You can't sue for such matters when Amway clearly, though in fine print, points out that very few will achieve the success touted in the promotional material, then gives clear expectations. Even on their website, such claims as "Top Selling" whatever, has one of these *, and at the bottom you can see that was several years ago. The formulas haven't changed and they were passed by better products.

      As for the fine print...
My potential upline told me to IGNORE the woman's voice at the end of the CDs they had loaned me. That, of course, made me listen to her tell me that results weren't typical, and to only expect to make a few thousand, regardless of the work put in. This is why they frown on you researching the business from anything but bias research (they even told me to stick to the material on the AMO website, not Amway's). This is why they try to sign you up real fast, so you invest and have to decide to flee, or give it a chance, either way the claws are cinched.

And really, do some research, this organization is not without its share of legal proceedings.

    1. Hi Anonymous from West Jordan, Utah. There was no point in me making a lengthy response to the other anonymous because ambots aren't going to come back and read it and ambots arent going to believe anything unless they hear it from their Amway cult leaders. They are brainwashed to believe the only people who tell the truth and are looking out for them are their Amway cult leaders and everyone else is a liar. No different than the instructions from leaders in other cults.

What I can't figure out is why ambots disobey their cult leaders and look at blogs with opposing information and leave comments so it drives that site higher up in the search rankings.

  21. Hi Anna Banana (are you 12?)
Firstly, I was intrigued by your post regarding the quality of Artistry products so I decided to do my own research. And by research, I mean I opened up Google and searched 'top five makeup brands'. The first result was
http://www.thetoptens.com/cosmetic-companies/ on which Artistry was number one. This was just one of the many websites that claimed Artistry to be in the top five.

Upon doing proper research, you will notice that Artistry has won several awards including "best new skincare line" and "best prestige skincare" (I guess prestige makeup IS a thing!!)

Speaking of prestigious makeup, that wasn't just some bullshit term created by Amway and its IBO's in order to create a better image for itself. 'Prestigious makeup' is just a fancy way of saying 'high-end brands'. Brands such as Estee Lauder, Lancome, Christian Dior etc. Millions of people use these brands every day. These PRESTIGIOUS brands.

Anyway, I have things to get back to (my life). A partner to support (no matter what path he chooses to take in his life - take note, it often helps to be supportive), and work and study.

    1. hi Anonymous. Anyone can come up with a top 10 list based on their own opinion. I could write a top 10 list of the best places in the world to live and put California at the top of the list because I'm biased.

Someone's top 10 list compared to data supplied by companies based on their sales figures. Typical Ambot response to discredit other information sources that differ from their opinion.

I hope you don't find yourself in the same position I was in trying to support my husband who got immersed inside a cult with a bunch of Amway assholes.

You are trained not to be negative, but you are doing so in this post. I'm sure you could find some allegorical reason why this isn't negative, but it just is. If you don't understand that, you show more smug than you condescending post, anonymous.

    3. Who's to say I am an Amway IBO? I came across this page whilst researching Artistry products and was disgusted at how rude somebody could be. Amway may not be your thing, it doesn't mean it won't work for anybody else. In fact, yesterday I was at dinner with my partner and a couple that have been a part of Amway for 25 years. Their income? Billions. Purely from Amway.

As for "study", anybody can attain a university degree at any age. And I'd like to believe that even an eighteen year old would be more mature than half the people on this page.

    4. "Billions"??? Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

BREEEP BREEEP BULLSHIT ALARM! BULLSHIT ALARM! BREEEEP BREEEEP

If you even had the slightest clue at how the Amway "system" works and just how many people would have to be in their downline and how many "tools" they would have to be selling to the brainwashed masses or conventions they'd have to be sharing the cut for to get into the billion range you'd realize the total crock of shit that is.

So who is this billionaire you speak of? You can say the name, Amway proudly trots out all of their diamonds on stage to sucker in new recruits all the time. I have yet to hear of any who supposedly make in the "billions".

But my guess is you just made up the whole thing anyway, as most Ambots are wont to do. How do I know you are one? Folks away from the cult don't make such outlandish claims. In Amway it's second nature. Why not just say that they were making "trillions"? Go for broke.

      Delete
    5. Billions huh? An Amway IBO out there is making more money than Oprah! Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!

      Delete
    6. Yeah, I'm sure that "billionaire" is on the Forbes list.

You claim us to be rude, about a product, or a company, and the commissioned sales reps attached. Why would any organization create such a harsh opinion? People don't go out of their way this far about any other company, aside from other MLMs, which hatred is abundant. Again, why does Amway and other MLMs modeled after Amway create such a distinctly polarizing opinion?

IBOs, AMOs, and other sympathizers have created this shroud of dishonesty, betrayal, and slight of hand, dog and pony show nonsense. False claims, elaborate claims, outdated claims, claims by paid spokespeople, misdirection in claims, claims that cannot be substantiated. There are so many asterisks floating around this "business" it looks like a law school term paper (the paper would have numbers, not asterisks, but I digress).

I have recently compared this business to a new pharmaceutical. It claims to cure one problem (poverty) but the disclaimer is HUGE.
-Will likely make the problem worse, will only cure 3/1000, user may only have slight improvement after years of use, may cause delusional visions, self-entitlement likely, alienation from friends and family consistent, may cause severe mood changes, may cause depression, smugness, negativity, arrogance, may cause loss of hope, and other numerous side effects not listed above.

  23. I live in Grand Rapids, MI where the Amway corporate headquarter, and one of their major research and manufacturing facilities is located. I have friends that are research scientists, manufaturing engineers, as well as friends that work in the factory on the line. From everything I've seen at the company, they are nothing like what most of the post in this blog discribe, they are one of the most respected companies in the community. Their research is solid and they offer a competitive product, which has a 100% satisfaction garantee, so if you try it and don't like it, send it back an get your stinking money back and stop bitchin about it. Try to do that with your favorite cheapo brand. Did you do any research on the company that YOU used for your top 50 list? I contacacted Mr. Haigh at Brand Finance and he told me the list only includes public companies, so Artistry couldn't be included. Also the research is being conducted from an investment standpoint, and therefore the companies at the top of the list are likely to be the most profitable in the future (speculation), which you can take either way, either they provide a good product with good profit, or they have great marketing and provide an average product with great profitability. The research you used provides no information on the quality of the product of any of the companies listed or left of the list, and from a product standpoint it is a grossly insufficient list since it excludes all private companies, or companies owned by private equity firms. It's a financial review not a product review. The way I look at it, the companies at the top of this list are the ones screwing you the most as a consumer, that's why they make the most money. I am a loyal Amway product user, I like some of their products, I like that they are made in my home town and support my local economy, I liike that they treat their employees well, and I like that their prices are comparable to other products in the market. You don't have to like every product, just buy ones you like. I also notice a bunch of "do the math" errors and assumptions in your postings, which make you just as dishonest and misleading as the upline you're bashing. Based on what you were saying, I'm pretty sure I know what you were being taught, and you're right, your upline was abusing you and taking advantage of you and you did the right thing by quiting, but it was your upline that was the problem, not the business model, they were just not teaching you the right things... and profiting from it. I prepare a lot of tax returns for Amway IBO's so I do get to see the numbers and how the IBO business is set up. It's all about orginazational structure, just like any other business has to be built and managed correctly without too much overhead, and the right number of customers and the right amount of advertizing. A properly structured Platinum business only takes 25 people with about 5 customers each (I've prepared taxes for a platinum with only 7 IBO's in his business and 3 of them were college students) a Diamond business only takes about 150 people, and every single one of them will be making money, as long as it is set up correctly. My recommendation to any IBO's reading this, make sure your upline knows what they're taking about, and if your not sure they do, ask them to draw out an emerald or diamond business and ask how the plan they are teaching you is going to help you accomplish that. If they can't explain it, or refer you to someone upline that can, contact the corporation and ask for a referal to switch to a different organization that can help you.

    1. Hi Anonymous. Well I just know I'm going to be wasting my time here but seeing as how you spent a lot of time writing this post I'll respond to you.

I'm amazed that you call me dishonest. Telling my true story of what happened when we were inside Amway is dishonest? What a screwed up thought process you have. What about your dishonesty. You talk about all the posts on this blog and yet this is the only post you've ever read. If you actually had ventured more into this blog you'd find that it's more about getting the word out there about the assholes in Amway that destroy other people's lives rather than the overpricd shitty products that Amway sells.

Have you ever actually tried to get a refund from Amway? I call bullshit. Amway makes you jump through hoops and you got to deal with some pissed off underpaid employee in their I don't give a shit department. It is way easier to get a refund from places like Walmart. You take it back to the customer service desk and get a refund.

Even though you might think Amway is a well respected company that treats its employees well, there have been many employees who come by here to tell about how they're treated like shit, underpaid, and no benefits. What about Christmas a couple of years ago when it fell on Sunday. Most employers give the staff a day off on Monday when that happens. Not Amway. Staff worked on Monday and came over here on Dec 26 to bitch about it. So they weren't even doing their work anyway, just fucking around on the Internet. Amway is hardly the only employer out there who has made millions off the sweat of other peoples labor.

You want to be careful about preparing IBO tac returns cause the IRS has a special section for Amway that the IRS agents have to refer to when auditing the ambots. The IRS has declared Amway a social club or buying club and some ambots have got caught making phony deductions, claiming Amway shit off the income from their regular job and had to repay Uncle Sam. You don't want to get caught in the middle of an audit on a tax return you prepared do you?

And talking about fucking around on the Internet when you're supposed to be working, do your bosses at Dematic know youre conducting Amway business on their dime? Ambots tend to do that. Their little way of telling their boss to fuck off and take this job and shove it. Gotta admire that!

    4. Hey Anna,

I like working with numbers here and the preceding Anonymous made my jaw drop as much as ExAmbot just above with his 150 people. For the heck of it, I decided to run through his example with some basic math. Here are my results:

First and foremost, Amway defines a diamond this way:

"You can qualify as a Diamond if you personally, internationally, or foster-register 6 or more groups (3 must be North American), each of which qualifies at the 25% Performance Bonus level for at least 6 months of the fiscal year."

In clear, you need 6 branches at 25% (or 7500 PV) for six consecutive months. So let's dissecate Anonymous' example shall we:

      1) You have 150 people in your downline.
      2) You need six branches to go diamond so this means you probably have about 25 people in each branch
      3) Each branch has to generate 7500PV for six consecutive months
      4) I'll be generous and say 1PV equals about 3.5$
      5) Assuming premise 4 we can convert the PV into money: 7500PV = 3.5 * 7500PV = 26250$
      6) Assuming premise 2 and 5, the monthly expanse per person would be: 26250/25 = 1050$

So yeah, 1050$ per person..... ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

And the fact that you keep posting all this crap, means that you are broke, and would continue to be broke for the rest of you life. It's such a shame that empty vessels don't come with closed mouths. An intelligent person would make
Decisions on facts, and not just on the opinion of others or as I said 'from the toilet bowl'. You want to get facts, go on sites like the Better Business Bureau. They would give you facts. I think that you are just jealous, because you don't know what is quality, have never experienced quality, and seeing your attitude, may never get to experience quality in your lifetime. Some people just choose to be lazy the rest of their life, and would never do anything to better themselves, except criticize others. They don't travel the world. They "travel" to the next conference, or meeting.

She had almost 20 people in her downline when I left her. Now, she barely gets her measly bonus, and has less than 10 in her downline. You can say, until you are red in the face, she must be doing something wrong, or her upline is doing something wrong, or blame it all on anything but the truth. According to the information I was given when asked to join, she is in the #1 organization of IBOs. Her upline is the fastest growing line in North America. All other organizations under Amway wish they could be in her AMO (it wasn't WWDB, BWW, or net21). She followed her upline's demands succinctly. She listened to CDs, read books, cold contacted hundreds, and shunned those who "didn't dream like she did" or "didn't support her dream".

Numbers don't lie. You, and everyone you know in your line, will likely fail. By the numbers, if one of you do happen to make it to positive numbers, the rest of you will not.

You are obviously young, naïve, and new to the MLM game, so you haven't seen the brunt of this monster yet. Your negative, facetious, condescension only supports what this blog has been pointing out for years. Ambots are bad people, with a bad opportunity, with bad mentors, claiming to be the new face of marketing.

    3. Hi Jerry. Thanks for your input! Doubt he'll come back to read.

I'm amazed your ex still has 10 people in her downline. The question is how many of them are doing anything. We knew this little bastard who had around 10 in his downline out of which maybe 2 were actually buying Amway shit and going to meetings. The little bastard is over in Monavie now so not sure how many of that downline moved over too. Zero?

Yeah, this one's young. 18 - 22 is my guess. They're all know it alls at that age. With the deadly combination that everyone in Amway is a know it all - trouble.

Numbers don't lie but everyone in Amway does!

Nutrilite has cured thousands of cancers?????!!!!! Its lying little bastards like you that help give Amway a bad name. Even Amway's head office sends out memos that IBO's can't be going around making outrageous claims like that. Telling lies about your snake oil just to make a buck you should be ashamed of yourself. But then your an Amway ambot and that gives you a card carrying license to be a lying asshole. But thanks for stopping by. 30. Hi Anna,

If you say that Amway is a scam, that means ALL of the network marketing company are scams? (Herbalife as an example who is currently sponsoring Barcelona. Huge deal by the way)

Am I right? I mean, the system are similar, the company provide us with the products and all we do is building our network. If you call these people who join this huge companies; idiots, then you'd say Donald Trump (a BILLIONAIRE) is an idiot for he created his own network marketing company?

People with a business; 10% of them of the world's population (IBOs of Amway and other MLM companies inclusive) earns 90% of world's wealth whereas other 90% of the population who exchange their time for money, people who'd rather work their ass off like you to earn $2,000 a month is only earning 10% of world's wealth.

Amway's turnover is over 11.3 BILLION (mind you) as of now and only in 50 years. Coca-cola took 100 years into the business to reach their first 1st billion.

Why then, famous people like Sandra Bullock be using Artistry and been named one of the celebrity who don't age?

You see Anna, you can have 1 million people reading your blog (sadly, im one of them) but are you earning anything from people reading your posts? No, you're still as poor. Amway on the other hand, is generating hundreds of thousands of dollars per minute even when people like you rants about it.

And about Nutrilite curing people, i would agree with you that "cure"is not the word to use. But Nutrilite has been preventing cancer cells to develop. Means to say that with good and reliable supplements like Nutrilite, helps prevent cancer cells from developing. Anyways, all of us agree that prevention is better than cure right?

You should really get a life and stop ranting. Its not goof for your health. If you say that Amway is brain-washing people, then how are you any different?

You know why this business doesn't work for you, Anna? Because you're plain lazy (enough said) to work for your dreams. I don't think you even have one else you wouldn't rant like this.

    Here's a quote for you & have a nice day! (:

    1. Anonymous - thanks for stopping by with your comments. I don't really get into a discussion on the business end of things for Amway or MLMs because my focus is about the emotional upheaval of dealing with the assholes in your Amway upline and the shitty overpriced products you have to buy. If you want to discuss business end then I recommend checking out one of the links at the top right of this page - MLM the American dream turned nightmare should give you the discussion you're looking for.

As for spokespersons - they are paid endorsers. Sometimes it turns out to bite them in the ass. Remember a few years ago that former host of the Newlywed Game got involved in that telephone dating company and as the spokesperson he got a lot of people to invest and it turned out to be a scam.

Oh yeah typical Amspeak on the lazy thing. Every ambot says that. If you read more posts here you'd see that.

    2. "Means to say that with good and reliable supplements like Nutrilite, helps prevent cancer cells from developing. Anyways, all of us agree that prevention is better than cure right?"

"Like" Nutrilite. In other words, one can also use LESS EXPENSIVE but EQUALLY healthy supplements.

This post was so full of bullshit and other MLM crap it made my head spin. Pointing to all the money those at the TOP of a "network" (pyramid) make is silly... dances around the fact that the REASON they have all that money is from milking those at the bottom who LOSE money. When they lose money, where do you think it goes? Wow, yes, to the TOP. Duh.

Personally I couldn't care less is the poster loses money while waiting for his big pay day to come "any day now... they tell me any day now". This blog is simply to warn others not to fall into the pit they are in and trying to climb out of by tricking others to fall in with them.

    3. Thanks Anonymous. I knew someone would show up to say something like that! Really what's that guy even doing wasting his time posting here? or reading here? People who love Amway aren't reading websites like this because the point of view is so much against theres and reading this would just piss them off. I'm not going around reading websites where people love Amway and gushing about how much they love their upline because that would piss me off. So I don't read stuff that pisses me off. Normal people avoid doing stuff that pisses them off. People who read stuff that pisses them off and keep coming back to read stuff that pisses them off must be severely mentally disturbed. Not saying that original poster is. Just saying in general. I have no idea if he's come back to read but if he does he can't be right in the head! And yes this blog is all about warning others not to fall into the Amway trap.

    4. "Donald Trump (a BILLIONAIRE) is an idiot for he created his own network marketing company? "
-Nope he built his to start at the top. He'd be an idiot to join an MLM at the bottom, like you and countless others.

"People with a business; 10% of them of the world's population (IBOs of Amway and other MLM companies inclusive) earns 90% of world's wealth whereas other 90% of the population who exchange their time for money, people who'd rather work their ass off like you to earn $2,000 a month is only earning 10% of world's wealth."
-When these stats were posted, it never mentioned 'business owners'. This is your upline misappropriating facts to suit your brainwashing.
-You are not a business owner. Are you a registered business (with the government)? Do you pay taxes, as a business, separate from you personal taxes? Do you determine pricing? Payroll?

"Here's a quote for you & have a nice day!"
-Typical Ambot banter. Say a pile of negativity then try to hide it behind the thin veil of kindness.

Also, anytime an Ambot rolls in here with a Robert K quote, we roll our eyes. You do know he also owns an MLM? A Canadian news channel did an expose on it.

Nice try. We won't be seeing you at Diamond either. Unless we join and we all meet up at the diamond's house you were referencing, but we won't.

Also, if blogging is bad for your health, wouldn't showing up on said blog and fanning the flames be just as bad?

  32. I've never enjoyed reading a blog so much. So, thank you for the touch of sunshine to my cold winter day. For starters the moment you start cursing you remove all credibility from yourself regardless of whether or not you are right. So, congratulations on being self-defeating.

It boggles my mind as to how Amway could lie to everyone yet they manage to maintain an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. How could such a despicable company be rated in the top 25 independently owned businesses by Forbes magazine? How did they managed to partner up with so many other retailers? I suppose all of those other stores are not credible either. Amway must have tricked them and their teams of lawyers. Perhaps you should go work for one of those stores so you can teach their legal staff all of the mistakes they made.

I have been to some of their meetings and they don't tell you that you will make that kind of money. They say it is possible but not once did they promise riches. Actually, I was told more than once by more than one person that only a few make it to that level but that does not mean that no one else can. I also figured out on my own that you do not need to make it to that level to have a comfortable lifestyle.

If you don't like the products, don't use them. If you don't want to distribute their products, don't. If you don't want to listen to their educational material don't. If you don't want to go to the meetings don't. They didn't try to force me into anything and I doubt they would try to force anyone else. Actually, they tried so hard forcing me into it (sarcasm pretty thick here) that they promised to return my money if I wanted to try and was unsatisfied for any reason. That sounds pretty reasonable to me.

Anna, the fact that you continuously use derogatory terms and put people ("ambots") and the company down means that you lack a credible argument. Instead, you blindly rant about something and anytime there is evidence that disproves your original point you put that person down and undoubtedly use more than one obscene word to do it. You sound disgruntled and for that I am sorry. Your unhappiness is the fault of no one but you. I would venture to guess you were unsuccessful building a business. Otherwise, you would be on stage bragging about how great you are and how Amway made it all possible instead of here being grossly rude on this no name blog. People everywhere are trying to find a resource to better their lives, rather than sitting around collecting unemployment or getting some other second/third source of income (that so many of us need these days). Amway provides a tool to make that happen. There is no requirement to buy anything. So, if you lost your shirt that is no one's fault but your own.

Also, you claim that people get up on stage and talk about the riches they make and what they pay for in cash yet are foreclosing on their homes. Could you tell me which of your friends did that? Certainly you know them personally to know that kind of information. I know people that don't work for Amway that are foreclosing on their homes. Does that mean that their lifestyle and the company that they work for is scamming people as well? It seems pretty short sighted of you to speak of other people's personal lives as if you are privy to the intimate details.

"The swearing keeps Amway prudes away except for a few dumb shits." I disagree. It makes you sound ridiculous and instead of helping your argument it only hurts it because you rely on deflection through profanity to emphasize an empty point.

In the end this is all for naught because you will find some obscene way to put me down and how I must be in bed with Amway and that I’ve been brainwashed. If having a desire for something more qualifies as being brainwashed then please brainwash me. It is far better than the alternatives. In the end I suppose I was just too weak to not comment to this blog and leave you alone with your negativity.

  34. I love Amway, I been in their company and I love how they make their products. It help me a lot especially health problems, like nutrilite. 80 years old WOW thats amazing, just take a time and read how Amway was build and why was it built for. I recently saw a youtube, News about Rich devous and Jan Van Andel, they ask them why dont they make their company public. There anwser wbecause they want the people to have an opportunity, thats was the Best thing I heard, also the interview was all over americans news ^_^ If you know amway already deal with the goverment about who they are and what were their intentions, the goverment were going to close it, but when they heard what Amway was about, they let it be. Why? They did they do that, because till that time to the present time Amway has Done amazing this All over the World, so Anne with a simple blog opinión you have made, Amway will still be growing with you or without you or with out me. Its that amazing. These is a fact and Amway has proven it to everyone that has judge them :) I love how they help a lot of poor Children, like the Organization like One By One, search it and you'll see the amazing Things Amway has made. Now they are sponsoring the college football coach poll, everyone who sees football college will see Amway logo All over Americans T.Vs, Amway will Never stop Growing ^_^

    2. None of this speaks of the motivational organizations, the true bane of this all. The parent company does many good things, sets rules to follow to adhere to legality, and never touts extravagant wealth.
It is the actions of the secondary party, in representation of the parent company which are vile. AMO's that promote destruction of families, alienation of friends, desecration of relationships, blasphemy in the name of God (golden calf anyone?), false self-improvement, the pursuit of false dreams, the realignment of the term success to fit current status, and the list goes on and on. These organizations are what gives the company a bad name. Telling us the parent company does all of these "amazing" things does not give retribution for all of the horrible things AMOs and IBOs do.
      3 things:
      1. Buy a thesaurus. You argument becomes diluted when you repeat the same things relentlessly, just like every Ambot that strolls in here and reiterates the same tired nonsense we have all heard for 30+ years (WOW! AMAZING!).
      2. An advertising specialist once told me that, a company that dramatically increases it's advertising, is showing it's hand that it is falling into hard times in the markets where the ads are placed. Odd, seems difficult to find Amway stats specific to the United States.
      3. Would all the hatred for Amway, and other MLMs exist if they simply sold their products to small stores all over the world? If they simply provided goods for legitimate businesses to sell to customers who walk into their store, would that cause such hatred, anger, and disgust? Not likely. Do you see the difference here?

    3. Your right Anna Amway is not for you, just some advice dont bring people dreams down. I'm in Amway, and yes some people that are in Amway are not that good of helping their down lines, because of the education they had before getting in Amway, thats why Amway has an education to help the people become the best of them selfs, the education is optional and thats the bad thing because most people dont know that not changing the way we think, we will be in the same thing of how we lived all this years. Maybe you had a bad experience with your up line and thats why you quit, but that wasent the point. The point was you to become a Dimond, the way your thinking that the products are too expensive and they dont work, you would of never get no where with Amway, because Amway gives you a Business of your own and your judging your own products, you think anyone that those this will never get somewhere in any other company??? This is the truth, for a lot of people that didnt got the point and left. This hurts but I'm just being truthful. As I was saying, people that tell me No, I dont get mad why?? Because maybe this wasent for them, but I make them my friend :) and I give them positive advices and thats what Amway thought me. Yes I told you what was wrong about what you did, I did judge you, but what I'm telling you about this is that dont bring peoples dreams down. Let them dream, when was the last time you dream about something? ?Amway is an opportunity for someone that is looking for one and are willing to get the point and succeed in Amway. Its just a choice, You can have a better life if you decided to, like I did from getting educated with Amway.

America would be lucky if that happen because the America gov. Is in debt and Amway is not, plus its world wide and america was were Amway was born. The founders of amway has talk to the presidents and all the most important people I america. Amway is the new model of life, because the Industry is ending and the time for amway is coming, this is called the time of the Information. The way of people society will change no matter what, so its better to get prepared. Amway is the Number One to Make your dream come true, its all up to you. AMWAY'S plan works you just got to make it work. ^_^

    4. What is up with the repetition of "education"? I thought we were talking about a sales business, or network marketing, or multi-level marketing on this blog! Here we are bashing an accredited university.

Wait, hold on, no that's not right. Of course this is just a MLM, not an educational system. Nothing you learn can be placed on a resume. Again, as i have stated above, please give one piece of material that you have learned that is not allegorical self-help nonsense. Telling you to be more confident and positive isn't education.

No one is stomping on your dreams. Do not try to play these games in which you attempt to make us look like villains. If you wish to be rich, if you wish to be wealthy, if you wish to lead a better life, if you wish to be a positive influence on the world.... this isn't for you.
You are right, the is the information age, and ignorance is a choice. You cannot ignore facts, stats, and other important information your upline has told you to ignore. If the dream's big enough right? You have willfully chosen ignorance.
Also, with things moving more in the direction of computers an internet shopping, please inform me what the IBO will be doing during this? This digital age is upon us, and the IBO may one day be replaced solely by a single website, no need for each IBO to have their own, of which they hold no responsibility for (upkeep, IT, accounting, etc). Amazon doesn't require IBOs. Neither does eBay. Or any other purely online shopping experience. In other words, thanks to technology, your parent company could, quite simply, cut out the middle man, the IBO.

Like all pyramid scams, for anyone to be making any kind of money, a lot MORE of them have to be LOSING it. It's how it works. The purpose of Anna's site is to warn people of the scam and the bullshitters like you drawing pie-in-the-sky circles and talking about "dreams" all the while picking the other person's pocket.

  37. Ranking depends on the research organization. If you're #1 on a ranking, it doesn't mean you're still #1 on another ranking held by another research organization. Also in which year the research has been taken.

The point is, which organization is reliable? There are so many many research organizations that would cheat the ranking for you if you pay them !!

Artistry by Amway was ranking Top 5 from Euromonitor in 2011. You must refer to the research organization and the year of ranking. Your upline may told you the source of the ranking and the year but you forgot then you use the ranking from other organization and different year.

It would also help if Amway used a well known American survey company instead of using this Euromonitor that no one on this side of the Atlantic has heard of where Amway pays them for a spot on the survey, which I think is the 2nd spot. Not sure why Amway doesn't pay them more money for the #1 spot. It could be 2011 or 2001 or 1991. Pick a year any year. Amway pays Euromonitor every for that ranking doesn't matter what year it is its been many many many many years ambots brag about this.

    1. Hey you need a stronger prescription for your glasses. There's a bunch of blogs/websites posted in the upper right side of this blog that deal with this same "topic". Are you an ambot? I know how much trouble they have saying the "A" word.

  54. Amway does not offer miracles, it would work if you do the work...my father in law has been an Amway Diamond for over 20yrs and YES it does works and you get EVERYTHING they offer if you do what you have to do..it is easy to say it doesnt because it didnt for you, in general. You earn what you work for...Amway doesnt tell you is easy money, as with everything in life you MUST work to earn. I personally have a lot of family and friends (emeralds, diamonds, platinums) that are getting what they work for. There are a lot of people doing bad stuff under Amways name, but I can reassure you, that those are not the principles of Amway Corp.

    2. You know, something just came to my mind. Amway preaches great values like honesty, integrity and family and stuff. The thing is: IT DOESN'T MATTER. Yes, that's right, it doesn't matter!!! No matter what beautiful values the corporation might preach, it makes no difference... BECAUSE YOU NEVER DEAL WITH THE CORPORATION DIRECTLY!!! It's all about the sack of shit platinums and upline who screw you over.

It also doesn't matter whether your upline people are genuinely good people and aren't trying to screw you over. So many people did bad things in Amway's name that just mentioning the name is enough to send people running.

So yeah. The corporation turned a blind eye to the truth and allowed IBOs to screw each other up because it meant more money flowing into its bank account. That is the truth and that is why whatever it might say or preach DOESN'T MATTER!!!

    4. Gabriela - how does it affect your life whether or not I'm lazy? It sure as hell doesn't affect my life that you're too arrogant to accept other people's true stories of what happened to them when they got sucked into the Amway scam. And how can I be a slave to someone else when we own our own company and I have employees so I don't have to go into the shop that often so my days are pretty much free to do with whatever I want. As long as you're in Amway you'll always be a slave to the assholes in your Amway upline. We have a pretty good retirement fund plus we own a business and the real estate it sits on so when we sell that it will also go to the retirement fund. Thats the difference between owning a real business and having a pretend Amway business and having something real to sell. I bet our retirement plan is hugely better than yours. Especially if you're under the false impression Amway will be your retirement plan. If so you better find an Amway heir to hook up with because they're the only ones making money from Amway.

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!

If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. Gets checked occasionally. We’ll get to you eventually and approve it as long as it really isn’t spam.
