The guy replied "No, it's not Amway."
My friends said "Are you sure about that? Because I will not listen to anything that is connected with Amway. Am I making myself clear?"
The guy replied "Honest -- it's not Amway. I swear it."
Well, my friend went to the guy's house to listen to the business proposition. And sure enough, after ten minutes of talk, it became crystal-clear that this was an Amway meeting!
My friend stormed out of the place, saying "You're a goddamned LIAR! Don't you ever approach me again about anything, either at work or outside of work!"
When you're dealing with the kind of bare-faced lying that Amway freaks indulge in, the only thing you can do is scream at them.
New IBOs in Amway are specifically told to lie when a potential recruit asks if the business being proposed is Amway. They are told to avoid the question by asking "What have you heard about Amway?" Or else to say "Well, we do handle some Amway products, but were are WWDB" (or whatever LOS they are in). Or else they might say "Amway just supplies our products, but we are a completely independent organization." The closest they come to the truth is to say "We're the new, improved Amway, which is a totally different business from the old Amway."
ReplyDeleteThis is the first BIG RED FLAG that anybody should notice immediately when you are getting a business proposition. If the person trying to recruit you is ashamed of the name of his company, something is very wrong.
Is Coca-Cola ashamed of its name? Is IBM ashamed of its name?
The plain fact is that the name "Amway" is so weighed down with bad reputation and scandal and the odor of fraud that nobody in North America wants to be associated with it.
Anonymous - if you're too embarrassed to say the name of the company you work for - it's time to get a new J.O.B!
DeleteOh yeah we heard that bullshit about how Amway is changed. That's just part of their bullshit propaganda Amway losers have been saying for decades.
Yeah you mention the name Amway and most people think of it as a pyramid scheme. People who know someone in Amway will also call it a cult. We call Amway what it is around here. The Cult of Greed where all Ambots must worship the Great Amway God and buy lots of overpriced shitty Amway products and invest in the Amway tool scam.
Amway changed its name to "Quixtar" for a few years, as a way to disguise itself, but it was a complete flop. They had to go back to using "Amway."
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - Amway can change its name to try to trick people but it stinks just as bad. They had all kinds of reasons why the name change to Amway like tax evasion but mostly it had to do with tricking people like new recruits into thinking it was a different company. Amway is all about deception.
Delete"My friends said "Are you sure about that? Because I will not listen to anything that is connected with Amway. Am I making myself clear?""
ReplyDeleteThat is an example of good boundaries, something that does not exist in Amway.
Anonymous - Just another case of how do you know when someone in Amway is lying? Their mouth is moving!
DeleteAmway Ambots have no morals.
I would rat to HR to get fired
ReplyDeleteOne way or another that Amway loser won't be working there much longer!
