My story of what its like to be married to an Amway cult follower. I expose the lies that our upline told and what happens at Amway meetings and functions. I leave the explanations of why Amway is a poor business opportunity or the tool scam to other bloggers. This blog mainly exists to curse out my former upline, aka the cult leaders, and to let everyone know what kind of idiots I had to put up with. Feel free to join in or live vicariously!

When You’re Dealing With Amway Ambots And You Don’t Give A Fuck
Say you’re dealing with Amway Ambots and you have a quota of 10 fucks to give a day. Not enough! You need to up your quota.
“If you don’t sign up to Amway you’re doomed to be dead or broke by age 65.”
I don’t give a fuck.
“How would you like to make an extra $2000 a week working part-time in your spare time 10 to 15 hours a week.”
I don’t give a fuck.
“If you eat one Amway food bar a day and drink one Amway drink a day and teach 2 others to do the same thing, you’ll have bazillions of dollars rolling in from Amway every month for the rest of your life.”
I don’t give a fuck.
“I’m looking for 5 sharp guys.”
I don’t give a fuck.
“Business is going great!”
I don’t give a fuck.
“I work with a team of multi-millionaires developing business partnerships.”
I don’t give a fuck.
“I know a really sharp businessman who has some really great ideas. I can’t promise anything but how would you like to meet him for coffee?”
I don’t give a fuck.
“Your job is a pyramid scheme.”
I don’t give a fuck.
“Are you open to looking at other ways of making money?”
I don’t give a fuck.
“How would you like to come to a business meeting where they’ll be plenty of hugging and compliments?”
I don’t give a fuck.
“Are you tired of working and making your boss rich?”

I don’t give a fuck.
“No, we’re not Amway. We’re World Wide Dream Builders.”
I don’t give a fuck.
“We do sell Amway products but that’s only about 20% of what we sell. Everything else comes from Fortune 500 companies.”
I don’t give a fuck.
“What do you think about XS Energy drinks?”
I don’t give a fuck.
“How did you like that Nutrilite Double X?
I don’t give a fuck.

I don’t give a fuck.
“I only work with serious business builders.”
I don’t give a fuck.
“You’re a negative unchristian dreamstealing wife.”

“What do you think of everyone who’s in the Amway cult?”
I don’t give a fuck.
“Tell us what you think about everything Amway.”
I don’t give a fuck.
Fuck Amway.

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!
If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. Gets checked occasionally. We’ll get to you eventually and approve it as long as it really isn’t spam.
The main thing that Amway thrives on is brainless enthusiasm.
ReplyDeleteLook at all those quotes in the above post given by Anna. You can just picture the stupid, smiling face of the Amway asshole as he says each one. It's a face of overheated hype and freaked-out pseudo-excitement.
That's the real problem. Amway is about brainless optimism and a fairy-tale picture of the world. And that's why everyone in Amway is forced to be "positive" all the time, like a feelgood therapist or a carnival barker. They can't stand rational, cool, deliberative thought -- precisely BECAUSE it is rational, cool, and deliberative.
So yes -- the very best answer to Amway's fake enthusiasm is to say "I don't give a fuck." They simply can't deal with that. It shatters their world.
Anonymous - lets call it brainwashed enthusiasm!
DeleteWhere else but Amway can you be brainwashed into thinking an overpriced shitty product is actually good and priced to reflect its "high" quality. LOL!
When it comes to Amway - P.T. Barnum was right!
My husband and I were involved in Amway/WWDB for 3.5 years and only 6 months ago truly decided not to pursue it anymore, but honestly my heart was not into it the last 1.5 years we were in it. I knew deep down that something wasn't sitting right with me, but because of the constant repetitive phrases and concepts that are repeated over and over, we stayed because we were made to believe this was truly the best thing on earth and we would never be successful any other way. In reality, my husband and I were spending hundreds of dollars a month on things we never would have bought otherwise like energy drinks and freaking expensive water that taste no better than what comes out of your tap. The last function we went to was FED 2016 in which my husband and I got into a huge fight in the car in the parking lot because I told him I wasn't into it anymore and I couldn't believe how much money we had wasted on all the products, wwdb membership, communikate, functions (hotels, function tickets, car rental, food, etc.) and we weren't any further ahead, but in fact further behind. Of course, they tell you that you aren't building your business or working hard enough and that's why all this isn't paying off. Also, I just could no longer pretend that I wanted to be there and be at every function and event with the idolatry and people worshipping. I felt so fake at every amway meeting pretending that I was in love with my upline and wanted to breath in everything they said. After every amway meeting, you’re expected to stay and crowd your upline and ask a ton of questions and drink up their answers like they are liquid gold. I also found those “motivational lifestyle videos” showing their penthouses, cars, properties, etc very off putting. So much flaunting, especially for an organization that claims they are not materialistic. For the past 1.5 years in the business, I unfortunately supressed my “negativity” because I was beginning to see all the jargon and cult like language, activities and deceptive practices, but again was made to believe that this was the only way to be successful. They would make you feel like you were in a very exclusive special group by using phrases like “the one percent” or “You’re in the A game” or “If you’re in this room, someone thought highly enough of you to bring you here.” And truly, the recruiting processes (they would never say recruiting even though that is truly what it is) is very plainly deceptive. They believe they are “taking leadership of the process.” We were told to always put ourselves in the “drivers seat” by saying that you’re not free for a meeting (even if you are) if a time is suggested by a prospect because the prospect should never set a time and date because you should give them a time and place and the prospect should make themselves available to you and work around your schedule, even skipping work or school or anything to see how far that prospect will go. Also one thing that pissed me off is how they say they will “SAVE YOU A SEAT” at an event or house meeting to make it seem like you are special and that it is very exclusive and there isn’t room for everyone, but the truth is it is complete BS and they just want to “add value” to the opportunity by making you feel like you need to come because they are saving a seat for you. The truth is, they don’t turn people away. The point is to recruit people and build their business. There is so much more that I could go on forever. They would say I never “built the business” but the truth is I couldn’t bring myself to deceive people using these tactics.
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous. Thank you for stopping by and sharing your story. I really appreciate you took the time to do that and hopefully your words will help someone not to make a mistake and sign up to Amway. Or if they're already in that they'll get out. And congratulations for getting out of the evil Amway cult. Your lives will now begin to return to normal. You will feel more calmness, less emotional duress and hopefully you are young enough that you can get back on track financially.
DeleteIf you haven't already done so you need to download a free ebook called Merchants of Deception. There's a link on the right side of this page under more info about Amway. The writer was an Emerald with 1000 people in his downline and making around $3000/month when he thought at this stage he should be making around $10,000/month. When he questioned his upline he got the same answer you got - not working hard enough.
LOL! It doesn't matter how hard you work the Amway system is set up for failure. Pull out some of your Amway brochures and look at the small print for the compensation. Only a tiny fraction of 1% of all participants will make money. That's over 99% failure rate.
As for the old bullshit about you didn't try hard enough or work hard enough. I can't tell you how many Amway meetings I went to where the cult leader said Amway is so easy anyone can do it.
So what is it? Easy or hard?
Lying scamming Amway bastards talk out of both sides of their mouths.
Everything you wrote, I could have written the same thing. Saw it, heard it, done it. I hear you on buying the imPerfect Water and all those fucking XS cat piss water. Hundreds of dollars a month down the drain on overpriced shitty Amway products that we never bought the similar type products in grocery stores before or after.
As for all the Amway bullshit about never say negative. Now that you are beginning to deprogram yourself from the brainwashing you can see that the most negative people you have ever met in your life were all in the Amway cult.
And yes. The morality and honesty comes in to play. How can you recruit more people into Amway knowing that they're going to be scammed out of their money just like you were? How can you scam people into buying shitty overpriced Amway products knowing that these people can go to Walmart and buy similar products that are higher quality and lower priced.

ReplyDeleteOne more thing, we had a family member who was terminally ill around the time of one of the functions and we were not sure when they were going to pass. We weren’t sure if we were going to make the function, but upline advised us to go to the function even if it meant missing the last moments of our family member’s life because apparently, that’s what they would do. Of course it was worded more sympathetically and came off as like they truly cared. Fortunately, we didn’t have to face that dilemma, but looking back, how truly sad and infuriating would it be to have missed our family member’s last moments of life because we followed that advice?? See, the business comes before everything, even before family, but they truly believe they are doing this business for their family. I can’t fathom.
After 6 months, I have finally found words for my feelings and have de-brainwashed. It truly is crazy how they wholeheartedly believe they are saving lives. Sure, maybe people have made money in this business, but the cult like practices and deception truly put a bad taste in my mouth I just cannot put myself behind an organization that claims to be saving lives and also lying to people. Also, prospects were told not to google Amway, specifically not to click on this actual blog, yes...they named this blog “I married an Ambot” because they can weave their logic and make you feel dumb for even thinking about it.
Anyway, I could go on and on, but it took too long and took too many dollars, but we’re finally out and I’m glad my husband realized it was never going to happen too.
Hi again Anonymous and another thank you for sharing your story. It doesn't matter whether someone is dying in hospital or its a funeral, a wedding, a birthday or some other family event, the Amway cult leaders will not give you permission to take time away from cult meetings to do the other stuff you need to do. When you're in the Amway cult nothing is more important than worshipping the Great Amway God. Nothing!
DeleteAnd you really need to read Merchants of Deception. I tell you when I read it the whole time I'm thinking I could have been right there in the room. I heard and saw all those things. Its when people figure out they're not making money, have no hope in hell of making money and finally have enough of the bullshit of being abused by the fucking assholes in the Amway upline that they get out.
And yes you're told at Amway meetings not to look up stuff about it on the Internet. That's because blogs like this one are so high up on the search engines. We talk about what really goes on inside the Amway cult, the emotional distress, the financial distress and the abuse. The Amway cult leaders don't want prospects to know the hell that is in front of them while they steal their money - so don't read it. And the bullshit about how the Internet is like an outhouse wall. And LOL for specifically being warned away from this blog! LOL! Around here we tell it like it is. Amway Ambots hate that. They especially hate that we make fun of Amway Ambots and curse them out. Its like they're outraged that we could be so disrespectful. But what we do is turn it right back at them. At every Amway meetings the fuckers preaching the sermon are disrespectful to the rest of the world. Around here we treat Amway the same way Amway treats the rest of the world. Most Ambots are too brainwashed to catch the irony. LOL. Bunch of fucking Amway losers.
Again congratulation on getting out of the Amway cult and I hope your life gets back on track. Good luck to you.
Anna, it's like I have always said: Amway is SCARED SHITLESS of this blog.
ReplyDeleteThe real truth terrifies Amway types. They want to live in their little world of lies and fake dreams. And they get infuriated when a blog like this one calls them out for the dishonest dirtbags that they are.
No wonder they tell their new recruits not to visit this website.
Anonymous - its something we've mentioned before around here. Companies that actually care about people and their own reputation, when they see angry comments - or blogs! - about them will ask questions and try to make things right and diffuse the situation. Amway doesn't give a shit. That's how arrogant they are. When you phone their I-don't-give-a-fuck department and ask for assistance you get nowhere. Amway's position is that they're not responsible for what their employees say or do. WRONG! All employers are responsible for their employee's actions when it happens during the course of conducting business. After hours at the ballpark might be a different story but while staff are representing the company, the employers are responsible. The antics pulled by Amway staff are part of their bad reputation. And I'm including all staff here whether they work at head office or pretending to be business owners.
DeleteAmway does fuck all when it comes to making things right. And that's why blogs like this exist.
Well this blog in particular to curse out fucking Amway assholes. Other blogs take a more financial rather than emotional look at Amway. This blog is so popular because it educates as well as entertains. And that's why Amway and their Ambots are scared shitless.
