My story of what its like to be married to an Amway cult follower. I expose the lies that our upline told and what happens at Amway meetings and functions. I leave the explanations of why Amway is a poor business opportunity or the tool scam to other bloggers. This blog mainly exists to curse out my former upline, aka the cult leaders, and to let everyone know what kind of idiots I had to put up with. Feel free to join in or live vicariously!

Shoveling Shit At Amway WWDB Family Reunion 2017
Let’s throw out a hypothetical situation. Say you got offered a job to shovel shit for $10,000. The choice is to shovel shit for one day or shovel shit for 3 days. Either way you get paid $10,000. Most people would take the one day job. You work less and get paid the same amount.
Now why do you suppose in 2016 Puryear Family Reunion was only for one day and specifically the arena is booked for 2-11pm so 9 hours but Puryear probably has to book it for 12 hours, lets say an hour on either end for ambots to come in and out and maybe an hour early for slave ambots to set things up. On another post someone pointed out that it costs less to rent an arena for one day compared to renting an arena for 3 days. Puryear cut their operating costs by renting the arena for only one day this time. I don’t know what it costs to rent the arena but often it doesn’t cost as much as you’d think because the arena is dinging participants on parking fees and concession sales and that’s where they make their money. So Puryear makes a decision based on a cost cutting measure. He can get paid the same amount in ticket sales whether he shovels shit for one day compared to 3 days for Family Reunion. Good decision for him. Expenses versus income he spends less money on arena rental and makes the same amount of money on ticket sales that is if the Amway cult leaders are keeping the ambots in line forcing them to attend this brainwashing conference.
It looks like Duncan drew the short straw because he shoveled shit for 3 days for the same money at Duncan Family Reunion 2016.
But you know what? The brainwashed Amway Ambots probably think they’re getting a good deal by going to the 3 day bullshit function because either way the ticket price is the same. It all depends on which side of the stage you’re standing on.
And speaking of shit…. Amway WWDB cult leaders only give out vague shit about their brainwashing conference so Ambots hit the Internet and read what those of us share about our experiences and what we heard and saw and what we really think of Amway functions those Amway ambots get furious that we get the truth out there and load up the comment box that we’re quitters, we’re losers, we’re lazy, we didn’t work hard enough, we’re fat, we’re ugly, we’re unchristian, we’re dream stealers, etc etc. And all the other negative Amspeak that Amway assholes throw around because they’re the most negative bastards around. But you’ll notice that Amway Ambots use the Peewee Herman handbook of “I know you are but what am I” philosophy and Amway losers go around accusing the rest of the world of being negative.
Because WWDB and Amway keep the information surrounding their major functions very secretive its not easy to find out stuff unless you’re unfortunate enough to be an Amway ambot and have the assholes in your Amway upline drilling into you over and over the dates and the amount due of the next Amway WWDB conference at every Amway meeting you go to. There are probably other Amway Family Reunions out there but this post features the Amway WWDB Family Reunion whether you’re going to kiss Puryears ass or Duncans ass. The cost used to be $250 and that included a hotel room, well technically sharesies as they anticipate couples showing up but in 2016 the price was $210 and no hotel. For Puryear Amway Family Reunion 2017 the price is $175 according to a reader who left a recent comment. And that’s surprising that those greedy Amway cult leaders have lowered the price which may mean they’ve also lowered the amount of time Ambots have to listen to them spout off their bullshit Amspeak. Or that ticket sales are dropping and they’ve lowered the price to attract more losers to buy tickets. You Ambots need to figure out where you’re sleeping and how many Amway losers you can cram into one hotel room. Ambots must shell out their own money for transportation, hotel, money to eat real food, and other incidental costs that I’m not thinking about. Buying the ticket is the cheapest part of wasting time, money and brain cells at this Amway meeting. Most IBO’s spend closer to $1000.
And what’s in store for the Amway ambots who are fucked up enough to waste their money going to WWDB Duncan Family Reunion 2017. And yeah I’m picking on Duncan cause I know what happens in 3 days compared to Puryears 9 hour dog and pony show. How the fuck is Puryear going to get all those new Platinums on stage that’s part of the World Wide Dream Builders Family Reunion ritual? Fuck them Platinums. Not many new ones anyway. They can squeeze into the Duncan Family Reunion so here’s what’ll happen.
On Friday night there will be some sort of trade show where Amway’s shitty overpriced products will be on display and some Amway loser will be extolling the virtues with a bunch of jaw dropping wide eyed Ambots listening in awe. And maybe a seminar featuring an Amway product or the latest must have in the Amway tool scam. Mostly it’ll be a bunch of Ambots walking around bullshitting each other that their PV or BV or their sales or whatever is skyrocketing and business is going great. Probably no Amway cult leaders will show up to sign autographs or take selfies so any Amway losers hoping to be in the company of any of their worships will be disappointed.
On Saturday the Ambots will be bored by recently qualified Platinums and Rubys. You know how that goes. Those bastards will stand up on the stage kissing ass and sucking dick. They’re allotted about 10 minutes each. It only seems like it drags on for hours each because they’re so fucking boring and say the same thing. And they’re all going Diamond!!!! Woo Hoo! Go Diamond! Yeah! And all the brainwashed Amway ambots in the audience will scream and cheer “Yeah!” “Right on!”
What is your story? No, I’m not asking for your story here but feel free to share if you want. What is your story was the theme at Duncan Amway Family Reunion a couple of years ago. And they claim every story is the same. Well no shit, they got to slightly change their stories don’t they. Gotta keep the crowd entertained with fresh material. I mean they can’t all come onstage and say she used to be a waitress and he used to clean porta potties. They need to coordinate so the next ones come out and say she used to be a cashier and he used to pump gas. And if they can do it then anyone can. Yeah! Sneer and insult that audience!
On Saturday night some Diamonds will show up to brainwash the cult followers to have a dream and believe their dream and the only way their dream will come true is to stay in Amway and buy buy buy into the Amway tool scam. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
On Sunday morning one of the Amway cult leaders will preach a church service to the Ambots. And of course they’ll be passing a hat so the cult leader can steal some extra cash off the followers. Then in the afternoon the Diamonds will try to bullshit the Amway cult members about building a business.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amway WWDB Worldwide Dream Builders claim during the Family Reunion weekend there will also be technology training, product expos, and motivational and promotional videos. Yeah we’ve all seen those professionally shot staged videos where there are mansions and sports cars and the Diamonds brag about their lifestyle.
But what about the workshops? They had a Satinique aka Satanique workshop all about brainwashing the ambots to spend $25 on a hair care product instead of the one they can buy for $2 at Walmart. And the Walmart one will be better quality. Oh wait, I just stole the IBO “line” for bullshitting people into why they pay more money for shitty overpriced Amway products.
Then there was Body Key by Nutrilite - a new weight loss system that Amway IBO’s are flogging. Amway just changes the name every few years but the high prices and the no results and no support don’t change. Likely the sales pitch that Amway ambots are taught to use on potential customers doesn’t change either. “You’re fat! I sell a weight loss program for $600. Wanna buy it fatso?”
Then there was a workshop about competitive comparison. Holy shit Amway better stand the fuck down on this one! That’s their downfall. They’ll lose every time! Everyone who does comparison shopping knows they can go anywhere else and buy lower priced, better quality products than what Amway offers. This workshop apparently will teach Amway ambots how to bullshit customers into believing they are paying more money for better quality. You know the old Amway ambot line: wouldn’t you like to pay more money for better quality? Not necessarily. If someone is lower priced and gets the job done that’s good enough for me. Besides nothing Amway sells is better quality than its counterparts at Costco or Walmart or anywhere else. Paying more money at Amway, yes. But you ain’t paying for quality. You’re paying so every asshole in the Amway upline can get a piece of the commission and so Amway can make a good profit too for its owners.
How does everyone like the sounds of this workshop - World Wide Group presents “What’s New”. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOTHING!!!!! LOL!!!!
Who will be brainwashing the masses at Amway World Wide Dream Builders Family Function?
Damned if I know because those Amway motherfuckers are keeping it top secret but here’s some of the old tired crew that shows up at all these events to get their share of the proceeds of the ticket sales:
Glen and Joya Baker
Greg and Laurie Duncan (presenting chapter 11 workshops!)
Jim and Judy Head
Dave Severn
Matt and Sandee Tsuruda
Dan and Sandy Yuen
Jim and Kelly Puryear
But don’t blame me if they don’t all show up. Any of them can fall out of Diamond qualification any time. The missing snake oil salesmen must be really fucking pissed off they’re not getting a piece of the pie of the Family Reunion ticket sale profits. This is how they make the bulk of their income after all.
Family Reunion sucks!
Amway sucks!
World Wide Dream Builders sucks!
Wanna know how to piss off the assholes in your Amway upline? Save your money and stay home!
Ever get an obscene desire to listen to a bunch of fucking liars shoveling out bullshit? Then it sounds like you need to get to the nearest Amway Family Reunion.

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!
If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. Gets checked occasionally. We’ll get to you eventually and approve it as long as it really isn’t spam.
Wondering if you know of the numbers of new diamonds in north america the past five years? I know the scam is shrinking.
ReplyDeleteHi Unknown. I don't know how many new Diamonds. It's a closely guarded secret in the Amway cult. Though I get Ambots showing up here and screeching that dozens of new Diamonds are being broken every month they don't say who they are. One of the other bloggers who focuses more on Amway might know the answer. Here we're more about cursing and making fun of everything Amway.
DeleteAttendance at these Amway functions is really plummetting. Pretty soon the Duncans and the Puryears will have to hold them in somebody's garage.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - yup that must suck if you're an Amway cult leader who makes most of their money through ticket sales to the brainwashing functions! Holding a meeting in their garage might be right and that way they can get the Ambots in attendance to clean it and scrub the cement at the same time.
DeleteWould be cool show up and overflow their toilets at the family garage reunions lol.
DeleteI left WWDB in 1996 and those are, pretty much the same diamonds we saw at Family Reunion, FED, etc. Shouldn't these diamonds be retired and walking the beaches of the world? Rofl
ReplyDelete**Former WWDB Lemming**
Hey Former WWDB Lemming - nice to see you again! Yeah it's always the same old tired Amway cult leaders at every function. LOL! There is no retirement in Amway. If they walk the beaches of the world instead of whipping their downline into an Amway spending frenzy, the sales decline not to mention ticket sales. Amway the Cult of Greed. Where retirement isn't an option.

ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous. Thanks for sharing the link. Not surprising that a Puryear is part of ruining people's lives and then weaseling out of a lawsuit.
DeleteWhat is your profession and how has your marriage been working out?
DeleteAnonymous - I hate to duplicate something that just about every Amway Ambot says when they leave a comment here but I will anyway.
DeleteYou're not willing to put in the work!
Like fuck Anonymous. If you read the blog you'd have your answers. But you Amway losers are too lazy to put in the work! LOL!
How are you this against Amway but you're married to someone who is in it?? I couldn't even imagine. You're pulling yourselves in different directions. I bet if you went all in on Amway you would actually be more successful than one of you being in and the other one severely against it. Marriage doesn't work that way. Either you get in or your spouse gets out
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - if you actually read this blog instead of just leaving a comment that proves Amway losers are a bunch of dumb fucks you'd know my ambot left the Amway cult years ago.
DeleteAnd what's with that fucking bullshit Amway propaganda that if I was all in for fucking people over and scamming them out of their money the way Amway scammed us out of our money then we'd be successful. Yeah we I have morals and a conscience and I ain't good at being a liar. Yup the spouse got out of Amway. Marriages are hard enough but when you throw in a money-stealing cult like Amway then its a whole lot more fucking pressure.
Dear Anna --
ReplyDeleteAll the dope did was read the title "Married to an Ambot" and then jumped to the conclusion that your husband was still in the scam.
It's hard to believe that Amway freaks are this dumb.
Anonymous - this blog does what it's supposed to do because its very high on the search engines. Amway Ambots are desperately searching for info on Amway WWDB family reunion because this is top secret cult information and not easy to find online. Except here! That's why they're picking up older family reunion posts that are often higher on search engine results than newer WWDB family reunion posts.
DeleteNotice how this Amway loser is issuing orders and demanding answers. That's all part of the training Amway Ambots receive at cult meetings. Ambots are taught that they're better than the rest of the world because they're inside the Amway cult and that the rest of the world is there to cater to Ambot demands and that the rest of the world will jump to obey when Amway Ambots issue orders.
I'm here to say - fuck that shit! LOL!
Amway Ambots are such big losers with overinflated opinions of themselves. I'll say it again - fuck that shit!
Oh Anna Bananna,
ReplyDeleteThere was an interview with you correct? Lol. You’re language shows you are severely under educated. I am not I involved in Amway but reading your posts makes me laugh......straight up trailer park lingo. Regardless of whether you were or were not involved in Amway, your tact is not credible at all.
Hello Entertaining. How do you know when an Amway Ambot is lying?
DeleteTheir mouth is moving.
Or in the case of the Internet they're typing something.
Why are you Ambots so fucking embarrassed of who you work for that you won't say Amway?
If people really aren't in Amway and leave a comment here to that effect it usually ends with someone they love is in Amway and its destroying their lives.
People who aren't in Amway aren't searching online for Amway functions.
Only Amway losers show up to say they aren't in Amway and then spout off a bunch of canned Amspeak. You're not the first Amway loser to show up here screeching that I'm not educated. So what? How does it affect your life if I'm educated or not? Not everyone can afford to go to hoity toity Amway University and automatically get a degree in whatever field they choose.
Don't like what you read here? Then fuck off and don't come back.
They're actually jealous of you having something that they don't have and tries to get in your personal lives because they're desperate with no real friends on their side. People like that by nature who started it first are the ones that with boring lives anyway and they know it themselves. Tell them are they even rich yet? Because the Ambot that told me that he wants to be a millionaire. So he is a millionaire yet in this get rich quick? Coming to talk about other stuff outside of getting how to get become millionaire or other people lives are just not part of being a real business meeting. It's no wonder they're not getting rich just like real business owners go through. Hey Anna you can tell us again what all the steps that real business owners must go through like setting up a business loan, getting actual employees, know to contact them by a physical location present at the time, and everything else that an Ambot couldn't do in a short time? They've been caught with their lies in public on the internet or off of it and embarrassed more than us talk about them on the internet. They're still using the internet even though one of them told me to not use it while he still uses it. There's one of the things he doesn't like me for is when I go to a real college and never show or told me that he ever went in the year I ask him does he ever went to college once because if he had then he will have no problems telling me. He shouldn't put money into Amway and he's jealous of me going to college? My name is still in the system and they still see me as a member that no matter how many years I still go to or not pass or fail and not this love bombing BS that Ambots have been doing. I'm part of something that is real and not with a fake person. There's even a larger percent of passing to get a degree than the large percent of failing in Amway of not getting rich. Real colleges won't even care if you go back to it or not and won't judge you if you fail. They just pick up where you left off and help you continue where you left off if you want. They won't mess with you in any sense even if you leave them and more so if you don't ever use a loan at all. If the Ambot wasted his grant money on Amway then he's fucked his real higher education in an actual college that can offer real degrees in his previous years. Ambots that tries to messes people lives in anyway is to make themselves less of a failure but they know it's not working for them. Why not compare to actual successful people that GOT their millionaire status?
DeleteHi Anonymous - well you go to college if that's what you want to do and have a career goal in mind. Amway Ambots are 2 faced assholes when it comes to school. They're sneer at you for wasting money on college tuition when you could be spending that money on "your Amway business" LOL. And then these Amway losers show up here screeching at us that we're not educated. LOL! In other words Amway Ambots sneer at people who are educated and sneer at people who aren't educated. Ambots say you can go to Amway University for much cheaper than any college out there and get your fake degree in whatever field you choose.
DeleteYeah those Amway losers who show up here pretending to be "business owners" are really fucking annoying because they do none of the steps that real business owners do. I've listed some of them from time to time in other posts. First off you figure out what kind of business you want to be in and then you research it and figure out if there's a market for this type of business or service. Or maybe you're buying an existing business or a franchise like Subway. You put together a business plan. You choose a business name and register it. You apply for a business loan and open up a business bank account. You go to city hall and apply for a business license. You take out business insurance. You get a tax number. You buy or lease a place to open business. You start buying the things you need to set up shop. You hire employees. You hire a lawyer, an accountant, a marketing team if you can't do these things yourself. You price your inventory or services. You figure out your business policies and your hours of opening. There are many things a business owner has to do depending on the nature of their business and if they're starting from the beginning. You can pretty damned certain that Amway Ambots don't do any of these things real business owners do. But that's the difference between being a real business owner and playing a game of make belief and being a pretend business owner.
What's the fake degree look like? What's on it if you know it's a fake?
DeleteAnonymous - I've never seen an Amway University degree. Anything on paper that an Amway loser shows you is fake and a scam. I don't need to see the "degree" from Amway University to know that it's fake. An Amway Ambot can make a fake degree the same as they make those phony business cards they hand out.
DeleteAnything you can't trace actual college credit hours and license teachers along with anything else are doubtful it's even real.
DeleteThere actually isn't any real "Amway University," but Ambots act as if they are know-it-alls who can advise you on anything. So when Anna talks about "Amway University," she is speaking sarcastically.
DeleteAmbots are constantly shooting off their mouths about things they know nothing about. They give you medical advice, financial tips, love and sex counseling, and directions for fixing your house or buying a car. That's why we say that they have gone to "Amway University." It's a way to poke fun at their pompous assumption that being in Amway makes you a genius on every subject.
Actually, most Ambots are fairly dumb. Taking advice from them on any subject is a big mistake. Many lives have been ruined because IBOs took insane advice on financial and personal relationship matters from their stupid up-lines and Platinums.
That's right Anonymous. Amway University credentials are as fake and scammy as everything else to do with the Amway pyramid scheme.
DeleteAnonymous - although there isn't a "real" Amway University it is an online program. I'm foggy on whether you go through the WWDB platform or through Amway to access it because I didn't do it. But it's very real to Ambots who go around saying "I just finished Amway University".
DeleteBut yes. Amway University is something we refer to sarcastically and make fun of it. Amway losers think they are qualified in every profession just because they went to Amway University. Who knew? You could save $100,000 or more and not go to real medical school and go to Amway University instead and in your own mind by qualified to give medical advice.
I already knew how an Ambot who keeps on running his mouth and doesn't lead anywhere. He started to lie often with his eyes close or tries to lie with his eyes open to think what he said can trick people thinking to himself it's a smart thing to do. When all fails should he debate with a professional who can make you look stupid as he spot hidden insults. This person has already destroyed a lot of weird cult leaders in public before. I heard the Ambot try to be smart against him... So I kinda knew what's going to happen next. The Ambot didn't take it well.
DeleteAll Amway losers run their mouths. The life of an Amway Ambot is to lie, deny, distract and defend. And then hopefully disappear.
DeleteTo Entertaining at 8:00 PM --
ReplyDeleteYou're a lying piece of shit.
If you're not in Amway, why the hell did you come here to search about an Amway function? And don't tell us that you just happened to come here, by mistake, or at random.
You're a typical Amway asshole.
LOL Anonymous. Most people who show up here by mistake just leave quietly. LOL! A few say they love the entertainment. Only outraged Amway Ambots leave comments claiming they just randomly showed up here, aren't in the Amway cult and then spout off a bunch of bullshit Amspeak. 20 years of dealing with fucking Amway losers - we know their spiel.
DeleteComing here just to read a few words or say a few things about Ambots that are not directly relate to their names and now they're mad at me for just doing that. Most Ambots just like to get revenge on Ex Ambots or not one to begin with either in real life or on the net. I'm the normal one just walking away as I know they needed revenge more than me. It's too bad they're really that desperate. I'm just righting a wrong by just saying what I feel that is all and now they come at me just to prove themselves.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - people in Amway are the most nasty evil vicious motherfuckers you'll probably ever meet in your life. Unless you've had some dangerous run ins with drug lords.
DeleteOh nah I don't hang around with people doing dangerous things like that but I'm pretty sure Ambots lack something for why they need to prove themselves so that's kinda why they need to be nasty. I don't play along with them and any time I have something to say what they do are pretty dumb then maybe I'll type it here. I also don't do drugs unless it's legal.
DeletePART 1:
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I were recently approached by a nice couple with two children, who we happened to instantly connect with as we have a child ourselves who enjoyed playing with each other, so we go to briefly know each other the moment we first met and ultimately we have similar goals in life which are: create a financially great living experience for our family and ourselves.
I'm currently a data analyst making approx. $50k a year, I am 23 and I will be completing my software engineering bootcamp in July to become a fullstack developer (the average salary of engineers from my bootcamp upon graduation is $115k, so I am pretty set with my path and have my vision established for my family and self for the next year, and so on. This couple contacted us to meet up and asked that we have a baby sitter so we can get to know each other more without having to worry about interruptions / distractions from our children, and asked that we meet at Starbucks.
Personally, I am not the type of person that likes to "meet" at Starbucks as it feels like I am going there because someone is trying to propose a business idea or some shit like that, so I suggested we meet at a nice cafe nearby where they serve small plates, cocktails, wine, and coffee if that's why they wanted to go to Starbucks. They met us there as they understood it would make us feel "more relaxed", which it did it felt like a friend meet up rather than a business intention they wanted to feed us. Our night at the cafe was awesome, we had a great time and really liked these people, but some stuff was questionable. Their story of how they met was off when the both told it. A lot of details were missing, and it just did not make any sense, it was not adding up. It was like saying 3 is the result of 1 + 1. We discarded it though, and as the night ended they asked if we can meet at a local Starbucks as it is 'closer to their baby sitter', so we agreed. This time, only I went because my wife was
1. Tired and not feeling well
2. Ultimately didn't want to go
Hi Mike. Thanks so much for stopping by with your story and taking the time to write all this. 3 parts! Ha ha! This is on an older post so I'm going to copy and paste it and bring it forward in an upcoming post in case others miss it.
DeleteGreat information!
Without ever meeting them I know the "nice" couple was overly nice and over the top complimenting you on your child, your shoes, your hair, whatever. That's what Amway Ambots do. The fake nicey nice act.
And with the potential income you have from your job, career choice, you don't need the pitiful income from ScAmway. You earn pennies commission every time you make a sale. But you have to buy at least $300/month in shitty overpriced Amway products just to get a $10 commission.
Most Ambots can't afford Starbucks but they always want to meet for coffee. Always. They always want to get you in front of some asshole in their Amway upline who is the closer and will reel you into signing up for their scam.
Part2:
ReplyDeleteSo I meet them at Starbucks, and I know they are upset my wife didn't come because they clearly stated they really wanted to have both of us present so they can share this 'opportunity' they have for us to 'earn a coaching/mentorship' from their coaches, and didn't want to tell me too much as their 'coaches value relationships'.
I cut straight to the point and told them:
{Me}: "Look, I am not someone that sugar coats anything I tell someone, and I don't like when people try to sugar coat things with me. I am a straight to the point type person. I have my path established and my schedule booked till August with my priorities, I sacrificed part of my time today to meet with you both because my wife and I like you guys. I want to know the root of why you want to "meet" and what you want to present to us. I can inform my wife on everything you tell me today. I am a business savvy, technical, psychology understanding, analytical and intuitive individual and I read a lot of books so I am well informed in a lot and understand what you're attempting to do. I don't want to invest 4-6 weeks of my life being 'educated' about something I have no clue about, so cut the fat and answer my questions."
As I was asking questions to John (lets say his name is John and his wife is Jane), he was 'dancing' around my questions not fully answering my questions. He was saying 'it's a mentorship opportunity if you can earn it', 'it's an information based business model' 'all you have to do is duplicate what our coaches have created' 'it's a debt free cash flow asset'. I understand that, John told me the same thing multiple times. I began to cut deep and asked 'what is the product / service? you're saying we just need to "duplicate" the system they created, what is the system they created? I know you said it's a business information model, and client/mentoship, but EXACTLY WHAT is it that they created that we need to duplicate?'
At this point, John was becoming uncomfortable I can tell. He was shaking his knee, and rubbing his leg anxiously, I can tell he never dealt with someone like myself. At this moment, his wife Jane stepped in and said 'Well this is what we wanted to tell you guys over the 4-6 weeks, and we would prefer if your wife was here so she can be informed on it too." John then said "Yeah we were really hoping she came tonight, I'm not sure what the status of your relationship is like.." I thought "What the fuck did he just say? This guy knows nothing about us and our relationship so who the fuck is he to comment something stupid like that about my wife and I just because she didn't want to come?" Then he corrected himsef with "Well I know you guys are married, blah blah blah..".
I let it go and didn't care to think much of it as at this time I already was not interested and just wanted to hear them out as I considered them 'friends'.
I leave to grab some water as they sit at the table and when I come back he begins to diagram on a napkin about how 'there's walmart, and if you buy from walmart all the money goes to the walmart family. Do you want to continue to feed their pockets, or would you rather put the money in your own store?"
I respond with "I invest and have a side hustle of reselling shoes, clothes, toys, etc. so I already do that with things I am interested in and it's been great."
John then said "Yeah it's similar except it's different, the products are different". Finally he used the word "products".
Hi Mike. Your wife was smart to ditch those Amway losers. Here's the thing with these Amway fuckers. When one half a couple - usually the wife - isn't interested in the Amway scam or doesn't show up for a cult meeting - all the Ambots say they are having problems with their relationship. You can be damned sure your relationship problems were the hot topic at the next Amway meeting your new "friend" attended.
DeleteThese Amway losers all avoid saying the "A" word. I mean its really fucking embarrassing to admit you're in the Amway cult. Everyone laughs at you for being a dumb fuck to get scammed.
LOL for drawing circles on a napkin and comparing Amway to the world's largest retailer. Usually Ambots compare Amway and Amazon so that's new, but overall the rest of the Amway sales pitch you got hit with hasn't changed much in decades.
Part 3:
ReplyDeleteSo I asked him, 'You just said "products", by products what exactly are you referring to? John still shaking his leg anxiously and rubbing it froze and his wife Jane kinda interrupted and said again "Yeah we will tell you guys that when we meet again."
I then say to John: "You speak a lot about this couple in their 60's who retired in their 30's, but I have no clue who they are. What is their names?" He responds stuttering "Glen and uh Joy, Joya. Glen and Joya". I kinda laugh and said "Okay Glen and Joya, what are their last names?" He then says "See, I can't give you that right now you'll learn throughout the 4-6 week educational process... Why do you ask?"
I respond "I'm asking because I want to do my research. You know, my software engineering bootcamp is considered the Harvard of software engineering bootcamps. They only accept 3% of their applicants and create the greatest engineers from bootcamps as our Alumni's work with Google, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, NASA, Tesla and SpaceX, etc. The curriculum is interesting because they don't necessarily teach us how to code full stack. Rather, they provide material, and tell us to 'Google it'. So I've become very familiar with Google and finding answers to things I want/need to know."
As I finished with that I stood up, and they stood up and I respected them still as a couple and people and we all left, but I had my curiosity as to why they:
1. Didn't want to provide me with answers to my specific questions
2. Didn't want to provide the full name of this 'dream couple' they idolize and speak so much of.
So I went home and did my research, I found this article and two more articles about Glen and Joya Baker, learned about 'WWDB", 'Amway', the Duncan's, the Puryear's, and Trevor and Lexi Baker, and I was immediately angered when everything this couple was feeding us about this 'opportunity' was literally almost word to word what I've read from the experiences of other's who were approached by these 'Ambots'. After relating what I've read to what I learned and observed from John and Jane speaking, I decided that I do not want to be friends with these people and my wife agreed, so I sent John a message informing him I found 'Glen and Joya Baker, and learned about the other families involved with high status including their children, the Duncan's and Puryear's, etc...' and ultimately we are not interested, and in case he is not informed about them, I sent him the articles to read for himself.
As I know that he is a young father with 2 children, just graduated college, and has not found a job in the field he studied and these are usually the type of people 'Ambots' will target.
I am not a fool and will not allow someone who has less knowledge than myself try to persuade my into believing this false 'hope and dream', as I have accomplished and experienced more in my life than people do by time their 30+.
Mike - Amway Ambots are very secretive about everything in their cult.
DeleteAmbots also HATE it when people do their research and figure out real fast that if they get involved with Amway they will lose their money, their family, their friends, and their brain cells.
And then those Ambots show up here screeching at us to do our research. Like our real life experiences in the Amway cult don't count?!
Your "friend" won't find a job because his Amway upline are counselling him that this is the tim to build his Amway business.
And congratulations on doing your research probably mainly because you were trying to figure out what that rat bastard wasn't trying to hide. You've just saved yourself from a whole bunch of emotional and financial distress by staying away from the Amway pyramid scheme.
Wow, what an experience!
ReplyDeleteMike Jones has written a devastating report on the kind of deception and fakery that are part and parcel of the Amway shpiel. It's hard to imagine that this couple (John and Jane) could say what they did with a straight face. Mike Jones requested simple answers and honesty. All they could do was give him fog and mist.
This is a red flag about all scams and rip-offs. The people trying to pull them off are deliberately vague and unclear. They want to hook your curiosity, and then rope you into some absurd six-week propaganda deal where you'll be browbeaten and brainwashed.
The thing that still troubles me is this question: What kind of people fall for the sort of bullshit that John and Jane were throwing?
Anonymous - yes Mike did an excellent job of describing getting pitched by an Amway Ambot. And for realizing that everything he was told, he could find others online saying the same thing about their Amway experience.
DeleteYup scammers try to be as vague as they can to rope you into their pyramid scheme. They dangle a carrot and fill you with hopes and dreams. And anyone can get sucked into the bullshit that John and Jane are shoveling. Amway Ambots have to be the best damned liars out there. They have to be charismatic. They have to be as good at closing a sale as a timeshare salesperson.
By sharing our stories we hope that others don't get taken in by the Amway scam.
