Leaving People Behind

Part of being involved in Amway is listening the cult leaders talk about destroying existing relationships the ambots have with their family, friends, and co-workers.

Like any cult, the brainwashing techniques are used to separate cult followers from others who can show them the proof that they are in a dangerous cult, they’re throwing their money away at a scam and paying off cult leaders, and that they are being lied to.

Obviously the leaders of any cult don’t want the cash flowing to them to stop. They also are freaks who require others to worship them with undying love and affection so they don’t want that to stop either.

One phrase I heard a lot from our sack of shit Platinum went to the effect of “leaving people behind”. This had to do with people who were not in Amway. Ambots are brainwashed to believe that they are better than everyone else who is not in Amway. They are brainwashed to believe that people who are not in Amway are stupid and losers. They are brainwashed to believe that people who are not in Amway all have jobs working for someone else and will always be broke.

Leaving people behind? Clearly our sack of shit Platinum is not a team player. He could never be a marine because he would never accept their motto about leaving no man behind. Our fucked up Platinum is no different than any other ambot only out for themselves and their greedy materialistic aspirations that the great Amway cult will bring to them. I wouldn’t want to be in a train wreck with that fucker. That’s one asshole who wouldn’t help any other survivors escape a fiery carnage.

Leave them people behind!

That’s the Platinum’s message to the ambots because the good things in life only come to selfish, greedy people in Amway.

Its no different than other religious cults who are brainwashed to believe they are better than everyone else and that they should not associate with people who are not in their cult. Every cult promises some sort of paradise to their followers.

The only way for ambots to gain admission to this paradise - the good life with residual income and plenty of it rolling in forever - is to leave other people behind because they are not in Amway.

Our fucked up sack of shit Platinum cult leader would preach at his followers about why they would want to associate with someone who doesn’t “get it” about Amway. Those people who don’t “get it” don’t “get it” because they’re too stupid to “get it”. Leave them behind!

Burn those bridges!

“As soon as you get rich in Amway then everyone you know who laughed at you will want to sign up and it will be too late for them.” Yup the typical cult leader’s message of doom and gloom for people who are not cult followers. The reason it will be too late for the people you’re leaving behind is because the marketplace has been flooded with ambots and the only people who can make money are those at the top of the pyramid.

But those people have been sitting at the top of the pyramid for many years, decades in some cases.

Leaving people behind to scramble up the slippery sides of a pyramid is the business plan shown to brainwashed ambots.

I got a better plan. The people I leave behind are brainwashed ambots.

Eat Snacks Much?

Do you know someone who eats snacks and drinks every day?

At Amway meetings our sack of shit Platinum would ask questions like this to everyone in the room. The old amiable brainwashing approach to get the followers to agree with everything you say.

What does he expect people to say? No I don't know anyone who drinks something every day. Every one I know is dehydrated!

Do people eat snacks every day? One person's definition of a snack might differ from someone elses. There's been tons of articles written about what constitutes a healthy snack. Ambots go around screaming about how Amway offers healthy snacks.

When I want to eat a bag of tortilla chips one of those nasty styrofoam Amway snacks ain't going to do the trick for me. Same if I want a ginger ale. Drinking XS piss water just isn't the same thing!

Then the sack of shit taunts the cult followers by saying how easy it is to find someone who wants to eat an Amway power bar and an Amway drink every day. He then fills in a chart about how much money these snacks costs if you were to buy them from a grocery store or a coffee shop.

Well holy shit I don't know where he buys his groceries but I can buy a box of granola bars from Walmart for around $2 and that's 5 or 6 bars. Amway has a box of 5 or 6 bars too but they cost $30. Walmart granola bars taste way better too. What about that Perfect Water? Costs close to $50 for a case of 24 and the sack of shit tries to break that down by $2 a bottle so that's not too bad about the same cost as buying a water from 7-11. However I can go to Walmart or Costco and buy a 24 pack of water for under $5 so maybe 20 cents a bottle is the breakdown.
`
It takes the Platinum at least an hour into an Amway meeting before he even starts talking about Amway and the business plan. Once he gets all gung ho on the eat and drink a shitty Amway product daily then he gets all excited about how many points (PV) you get and how much money you make.

The numbers keep going higher and higher based on how many people an ambot can scam into eating one Amway bar and drinking one Amway beverage a day.

Realistic chances of finding other people to eat and drink that shit? Not good.

Realistic chances of finding people willing to pay 3, 4, 5, 10 times more money for a shitty Amway product that they can buy a similar better tasting product in the grocery store? Even worse.

The sack of shit Platinum gets the cult members so focused on the numbers that he is tossing around and all excited about the gazillions of dollars they can earn by flogging the Amway snack plan that before anyone can really digest the bullshit he is trying to brainwash them with he moves on to another topic. That sack of shit gets easily distracted.

Or perhaps its just part of his master plan in the Amway scam.

What Can Our Lying Platinum “Teach” Us?

Our sack of shit Platinum often said if we do what he teaches we’re going to make it real big in Amway. Then he would follow that by saying there are guys in the room who are not successful because they don’t do what he teaches.

I would be one of about 5 women who regularly showed up to Amway meetings, the regular group meeting in someone’s living room, and I don’t consider myself a guy. The Platinum is a male chauvinist pig so as far as he’s concerned no woman is going to make it in Amway. Not without a man leading the way. Three women in the room were single. Maybe more depending if some of the occasional IBO’s showed up for a living room meeting or not.

The Platinum never taught us anything useful. The only thing he taught was resentment but I would hardly call that useful. His meetings were always the same. They started at 8pm and he’d spend an hour talking about himself and the negative stuff going on in the news - businesses closing down, recession, that sort of thing. It would take him at least an hour to say something to the effect that this is what he does for a living. Here its important to point out that Amway is hardly what he does for a living. He has a real job, the kind that people like him poke fun at - J.O.B. Just Over Broke. Instead of taking the more common sense route of saying the right job can change someone’s life, he taunts people who have jobs. Asshole you’re in that category. Some of us in the room don’t have jobs because we already own our own business. Hmmm. Maybe I better take another look around the room. There was only one other guy in the room who owned his own business. And yes I am using the past tense. About a year after we got out of Amway we noticed his store had been taken over by another business. Too bad for him. I was in there once and noticed his prices were on the high side. He learned the wrong things from Amway!

OK so get back on track. The sack of shit talks about himself and all the negative news items he’s picked up recently. He bores us to death for at least an hour under the false impression we actually give a shit listening to him. Then he finally mentions Amway. It takes him an hour to get there because its really embarrassing to admit to anyone that you’re in Amway. He wants to spend the first hour trying to get any new prospects in the room to know him and what he’s all about and to get them to think he’s a really nice guy. I can tell any newbies that he’s a lying sack of shit and Jim Jones is his idol and he’ll brainwash you too if you hang around long enough. I don’t have to take the roundabout way of wrapping that one up. Then the flash cards come up with the Amway business plan on them. Depending on whose flash cards he’s using and if they’re old ones he’ll bitch out the ambot that brought them and tell them he needs to buy new ones. Invest in your business! Invest in the tool scam so the upline Diamonds can make more money! To make his point he’d take a black felt pen and write all over the flash cards effectively destroying someone else’s property because that’s the kind of thing this miserable asshole does. He has no respect for other people or their property. Right back at you asshole. I have no respect for a lying sack of shit.

This whole bullshit session takes two and a half to three hours. The Platinum keeps getting sidetracked and going off on some rant or spending more time talking about himself. The fucker loves the sound of his own voice!

So what exactly did he teach us other than resentment? According to the flash cards he taught us that if we eat one Amway food bar each day and drink one Amway beverage a day and find two other people and teach them to do the same then we’ll make a thousand bucks a month in commission from Amway. If we find 6 people to eat and drink the Amway shit then we’ll make $100,000/year. If they find 6 people and they find 6 people and so on and so on we’ll be making around a million dollars a year and those people beneath us will be taking our spots in the $100,000 and $500,000 range. Everyone will get rich!

Yup eat and drink your way to Amway success!

If you’ve ever had to drink the XS piss water or eat a nasty shitty Amway food bar then you’ll know it is really hard to convince other people to buy this shit no matter how much you lie to them about the health benefits. The high price for these horrible tasting products is a huge obstacle to overcome.

People can go out and buy a box of oranges or persimmons for ten bucks and get better health benefits, either by eating the fruit as is or putting it through the juicer. Save money feel better eating/drinking a natural product.

As for the people in the room who were doing what the sack of shit Platinum taught they weren’t making money. The odds are stacked against them. Less than 1% of IBO’s will make money according to Amway’s literature. The sack of shit can rant at them all he wants about doing what he teaches and they’ll become rich but it ain’t going to happen. According to the Platinum just by virtue of showing up for the meeting the ambots in the room were winners and successful. That was another one of his teachings about how we better show up for every one of his meetings or face his wrath.

The ambots in the room change over every few months or so but I know the Platinum’s lies are still the same. He still can’t teach anyone to be successful in Amway. That would suggest:
  1. he can’t teach worth a shit
  2. the people in the room can’t learn worth a shit
  3. or its a mathematical impossibility for the majority of IBO’s to become successful in Amway.
The pompous sack of shit would take the “2” option but that’s because he has such a high opinion of himself.

When it comes to Amway I didn’t get no learning from that bastard!

How Many Amway Meetings in a Night?

Its bad enough on the night of an Amway meeting to actually have to attend but the horror of horrors is that there are usually several meetings planned for the evening and some ambots have the misfortune of attending all of them. The first is a “pre-meeting” with the Platinum but that’s only if you’ve scheduled an appointment and if the fucker deems you worthy of his attention. This appointment could be between 5pm to 7pm lasting 15 to 30 minutes or longer. This is usually held at a coffee shop where the meddling bastard wants to see a budget, a phone list, or ride everyone’s asses why they weren’t bringing prospects to meetings and lack of customers. If we were “privileged” to have the first appointment we were expected to buy the Platinum a coffee and snack. Even if we weren’t first sometimes the Platinum just turned to Ambot and asked him to get him a burger. No cash exchanged hands and of course Ambot hopped into action because the cult leader had stroked his ego and called him a server. Yeah in more ways than one!

The board plan meeting was either held at the cult leader’s house or at the home of someone else in our line. They started at 8pm.

I’ve got better things I can be doing at 8pm like some good TV shows are on then. Ambot used to challenge me and say “how is watching TV making me any money?” Well at least we weren’t losing any money by staying home and watching TV! Can’t say the same thing about time and money wasted at Amway meetings!

The pompous sack of shit Platinum loves the sound of his own voice. He’d spend the first hour telling the same old bullshit stories mostly about himself and what a wonderful cult leader he is or about something going on in the news. Ranting and raving mostly with a good dose of religion thrown in.

Maybe take him an hour or longer to fess up and mention the dreaded Amway word. He’d use a whiteboard and flash cards to present the Amway business plan. Eat, drink, and duplicate. Find other people and teach them to do the same. Find enough people and you'll be earning $300,000 a year.

The board plan drags on for 3 hours because he keeps getting sidetracked and goes off on various rants usually something negative that's happening in the news. The sack of shit loves spreading negativity and scaring his ambots into submission.

I was ready to go home before I even arrived. By 11pm I just want to get the hell out of here. Go home. Go to a bar. Go to Denny’s. Anywhere but listening to the sack of shit!

Then the cult leader finally takes a break. Yay! We can go home. Then horrors! It ain't over yet! Anyone who’s not a “serious business builder” or anyone who brought guests can go home. The rest of us unfortunate bastards are stuck for round 2 or maybe round 3 if you were unfortunate enough to be part of the pre-meeting bullshit. Sometimes Ambot can catch a ride home with someone else and tells me to go home. Yee haw! I don’t stick around in case Ambot or the cult leader changes their collective brainwashed mind.

I have stayed for too many late night teachings. These meetings last another hour or two. Very typical for Amway cult meetings to last well past Midnight. When cult followers are tired its easier to brainwash their minds. Now is when the pompous sack of shit criticizes the way people dress, the car they drive, their haircut, the people they hang out with, etc. Mostly he criticizes the group for not sponsoring anyone or bringing prospects to meetings. He'll talk about the movers and shakers in his downline and sing their praises for the rest of the meeting gabbing on about how those are the people going Platinum, going Diamond. Not so far! Including him the fucking loser!

No teaching. No business advice. Lots of rants. That sums up what people are really doing late at night at Amway meetings.

Getting brainwashed!

Did Ambot have an Amway Business Plan?

For people who have taken small business ownership/entrepreneur courses one of the things we’re taught is to create a business plan. We’re also told that we should be pulling out our business plan every 6 months or every year and looking it over and making any changes in our services, products, goals, etc.

For all the Amway business meetings we attended and all the lack of real business advice that was never given (silly us to actually expect to receive good business advice at a “business meeting”!) never once did I hear any Platinum, Emerald, or Diamond speaker tell the IBO’s to create a business plan. The only “plan” ever discussed was to “duplicate your upline”.

Yeah well that don’t really cut it in the real life business world. If you see a bank officer about a loan you will need to bring a business plan and financial statements with you and not your upline Eagle who had to take time off his ditch digging job and is still wearing his grubbies to accompany you to the bank to share this exciting opportunity where the money will be rolling in faster than it can be counted. Don’t need no stinking business plan when you bring a sharp Amway businessman along with you!

Ambot never created a business plan for Amway therefore there was no plan for success.

Our real business plan for our real business was 50 pages long but depending on the complexity of the business and products or services offered other business plans could be much longer.

Business plans - your business blueprint - your plan for success - generally follows the same pattern:

  1. Executive summary - the name of your business, address, owners, and summarizes what the business does, who the customers might be, and expenses. These will be covered in more detail later in the business plan.
  2. Business philosophy - description of industry, description of the business, vision statement, mission statement, business goals
  3. Operations plan - business structure, human resources structure, production methods, service delivery, strategic alliances, risk assessment, licenses, insurance, and regulations.
  4. Marketing plan - products or service description, industry analysis, competitive analysis, target market description, market strategies, selling strategies
  5. Financial Plan - projected cash flow, projected income statement, balance sheet, personal financial information
  6. Appendices - action plan, resume, business outline, etc.

None of the above was ever taught during any Amway “business meeting”.

I did a Google search for a business plan MLM company selling soap and I actually got some hits. I was even curious enough to look at one. The company had a different business name but for all I know it was a pseudonym for Amway.

Serious business owners create business plans. For all the talk I heard about Amway IBO’s being “serious business builders” I never heard of anyone in our LOS who put together a business plan. I’m not saying its impossible for a serious Amway business builder to create a business plan but I doubt it will fly especially when it will be full of Amway speak learned from their upline, tapes, and CD’s instead of legitimate business information. Imagine filling in the competitive analysis portion of the business plan. Here’s where the IBO compares prices of similar products already established in the marketplace. The best they can do is show that similar products are sold at Costco and Wal-Mart for a lower price. “Oh but our products are much higher quality and that gives them an edge in the marketplace.” Subjective, debatable, and doubtful. And the bank loans officer doesn’t give a shit.

If you want to be considered a serious business owner, choose a legitimate business, create a business plan, present it to others, and get feedback on how likely success will be in this venture. Ambot never created an Amway business plan to show to other people - friends, family, business owners, and bankers to get objective third party opinions before slapping down $150 for the Amway registration and starter kit. I’d say his experience is similar to most Amway IBO’s.

What do they say about the importance of having a business plan? If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Likewise if you get involved with Amway no matter what you plan - you will fail.
