Amway Cult Leaders Want to Bust Up Your Marriage

Our pompous sack of shit Platinum often said “If I don’t like you, I won’t do business with you.”  Liar! He’d do business with anyone he could just for the almighty dollar.

A better slogan for him would have been “If I don’t like you and you refuse to do business with me, I’ll destroy your marriage.”

I was at an Amway meeting once where he ranted about one of the fellows in the room. They were in the same car driving back from Amway WWDB Family Reunion and the pompous sack of shit Platinum spent the 6 hour drive nagging him to leave his wife because she was holding him back in the business. He would never succeed in Amway as long as he was with his wife. And on and on it went. Sack of shit Platinum was even more outraged when they had a baby without asking his permission if they could start a family.

All I could think of was shut the fuck up asshole. Other people’s private lives are none of your business. Leave them alone. Asking “permission” for stuff going on in their private personal lives? You’ve got to be fucking kidding me! Like I need any further proof that this is a cult leader trying to control other people’s lives!

On the drive home I told Ambot that the sack of shit has no business trying to destroy that couple’s relationship. Not a big surprise to me that Ambot admitted the fucker was trying to convince Ambot to leave me.

After a few unsuccessful months of trying his damnedest to convince Ambot to leave me the sack of shit Platinum cult leader tried another tactic. By this time I’d quit going to cult meetings because I couldn’t stand that fucking asshole Platinum and refused to show up anywhere that he might be which pretty much meant all Amway cult meetings. Ambot told me one night the Platinum bastard led the group in a prayerfest. He was bitching at Ambot and saying he wasn’t man enough for the Amway business and he didn’t deserve to be married to me because he wasn’t man enough. Tonight the Platinum sack of shit led the Amway meeting into a prayer group, praying that I would find another man and leave Ambot.

And these fanatic fucked up Amway cult members wonder why I can’t stand them.

The only good thing that came out of that prayerfest is that Ambot saw the truth of this evil cult and stopped attending Amway meetings.

The Platinum’s preaching is that any man not getting ahead in the Amway business is because his wife is holding him back and he should leave her. If an IBO has a potential prospect and the wife isn’t interested, upline immediately jumps on their ass and proclaims its because this couple already has existing problems in their relationship. Its the old blame the victim scam that ambots regularly deploy whenever an IBO isn’t making money in Scamway.

Gee none of these fucking Amway assholes ever think that perhaps someone is not getting ahead in Amway is because its a system designed for failure and that less than 1% of IBO’s will make money at Amway. Did they ever think the reason a wife isn’t interested in Amway is because she doesn’t want to lose her money to this pyramid scheme? Nope. Amway cult followers are only in it for themselves and their fucked up beliefs.

The relationship problems only happen after getting involved in Amway. Happy marriages go sour after one spouse gets immersed in the cult and is constantly badgered by the upline to get the PV/BV up there and buy more products to the point of sucking dry the bank accounts and maxing out credit cards. Attend more meetings chasing futile dreams. Put another dollar in. Put a few more thousand dollars in. Got to keep this Amway cult thriving.

So now is another perfect opportunity to send a fuck you out to our fucking asshole sponsor because if he’d minded his own fucking business and backed off after I said not interested then Ambot would not have got sucked dry by the fucking Amway cult. Another fuck you out to the sack of shit Platinum for going out of his way to fuck up other people’s lives for no other reason than he’s a sorry sick fucked up reincarnation of Jim Jones. He is one of Amway’s shining 8pm warriors.

Actually I’ll send a big old fuck you out to Amway’s head office too for not doing anything when we complained about that fucking lying sack of shit Platinum. They must be so proud of their shining 8pm warrior who goes around fucking up other people’s lives all in the name of Amway.

  1. So much for the lie that Amway or WWDB saves marriages?

My upline told me to ditch my fiancee' because he felt my business would grow faster if I remained single and focused by efforts.

    1. Joe - everything is a lie. Amway and WWDB destroys marriages. Our sack of shit's argument for Ambot was that once he got reeeeaaaaallllyyyy BIG in Scamway he'd want to leave me and he wouldn't want me to have 50% of his Amway business would he. If that meant 50% of the Amway debt then he's right. I sure wouldn't want that!

    2. I found it funny that they tell you if youre in amway your partner has to be all about it too. Also people on different pin levels cant date those on other pin levels. What the fuck? When im not at work I get to do whatever the fuck I want. And I get paid more than 99.99% of them. Poor amtards. They take orders from the suckline 24/7. During the one convention I attended the speaker said "who do you love more, your boss or your wife?" Obviously dedicated ambots love thier upline more than thier wife. Thankfully I now have a lady who is way more fun to be around than a brainwashed ambitch from hell.

    3. Anonymous - as you said. I know when we were in Amway it sure seemed to me my husband loved his Amway upline more than me. That's what the brainwashing this cult does to a person causes. I'm glad to hear you've found someone who is more fun than a brainwashed ambitch!

    4. The Mannatech scam is real but from a different perspective. The company is a target. It is not scheming against you. It is not fraudulent.Stop listening to opinions and start looking at the science behind Mannatech scam.

    5. Shazia - are you smoking something funny? No one here is talking about Mannatech because no one gives a shit.

  2. I had to end it with my now ex boyfriend when he got too involved in this Amway business. Can you believe he also had the audacity to try and get my father involved to "save" my parent's marriage?

    1. ka938996 - sorry to hear about your ex. Just another unfortunate casualty in the Amway war zone. Yup I can believe he tried to get your father involved in Amway to save your parent's marriage. Ambots have to first prey on their friends and family. Once they've destroyed the relationships of everyone they know then they move on to strangers. Using scare tactics is all part of being a lying scheming desperate ambot. Hopefully you have moved on and found someone who won't disrespect you the way all ambots do to the people in their lives who won't joing them in this pyramid scheme.

  3. Hi Anna
I LOVE your blog, absolutely spot on with everything I experienced being young and stupid and falling (at a vulnerable point of my life) in with a very pushy cult leader like yours - only the business was Mannatech.

I found that not only was my upline running my daily schedule via guilt and harrassment but slowly/surely assisted me to dissolve any fragile relationships I had with friends and family.

    1. MannatechFool - Thanks for stopping by! I'm aware of the Mannatech name and its another MLM but I don't know what they sell or about their meetings. Or even that it is a cult like Amway. But yes that does sound like Amway with the upline trying to destroy your existing relationships.

  4. Things my fat-ass pushy lesbian upline did to me:
-made me sign a pathetic 'agreement' to stay in the business for atleast 1 year.
-made me make a list of EVERYONE I KNEW, NO MATTER IN WHAT CAPACITY OR NATURE OF THE RELATIONSHIP, and ring each one in a three way call and push this shit business onto them. I was mortifyingly embarrassed and regretted this damage for years to come. But I had been in mannatech for 3 days and didn't know how stupid I was being.
-allowed me to waste time and money on stupidly unproductive seminars including a trip to Dallas (i am from sudney, Australia) for some evangelical cult gathering 'convention' with all the sickening hype and paid shills you can cram into one auditorium
-When after 10 months and having spent(WASTED) nearly $20,000 of my (then) boyfriend's money, I had signed up 5 people as product customers, three of which dropped out - I decided to quit. She was FURIOUS.
-three years later after quitting, and never having spoken since our falling out, I was annoyed to see that I was sort of permanently on her emailing list for her stupid newsletters. When I emailed her back asking to unsubscribe, a fight ensued as she could not comprehend why anyone who valued being alive could sacrifice these life-giving miraculous and heinously expensive placebos - oops - supplements.
-Has as far as I know been working on her 'business' making hundreds of calls per week to prospects, for the past 15 years. Still remains delusional that the product is the cure for cancer and downsyndrome and that right around the corner she will make it to Presidential (like Platinum)
-she buys and consumes $1,500/month of this shitty product partially to keep her PV points & distributor status and partly because she believes it will prevent her from being mere mortal like the rest of us.
    End result:
Me - down $20k and embittered
Her - still desperately clinging to the dream and moved onto the next sucker to ruin their lives.

    1. Agreement to stay in the business at least a year? That must have been an upline initiative. Most MLM's have people sign their lives and rights away in the registration agreement but no time frame that they must stay in for.

Making a list is also an Amway thing. I wrote a post on it at least a year ago. Maybe I should resurrect that one. Our list had family, friends, coworkers, anyone we knew on however casual basis (mailman, mechanic, gas station jockey). As long as there were still names left on that list there was always hope.

And you wouldn't have normally wanted to travel to Dallas? Not on your top list of travel destinations? If you were attending seminars you probably wouldn't have had any free time to see the sights anyway.

So did your boyfriend make you pay back that $20,000 or was he part of Mannatech too? And Mannatech was what killed the relationship?

Our cult leaders in Amway are also incredulous if anyone does not want anything to do with Amway. However after we quit someone did remove my husband from his email loop but it did take awhile. Most of them did not defriend him off Facebook though.

Must be nice to have $1500/month of disposable income! Here in Amway people easily put that much onto their credit cards each month. And the next month and the next month until they're at their limit and can't buy any more Amway products.

We lost about $20k too thanks to Amway. And our upline is still clinging to the dream and destroying lives.

  5. Anna - In 'Scientology,' the same frightening process is called 'disconnection.' However, whatever it's labelled, this is just another devious way of dissociating cult adherents from external reality.

Cults systematically categorize any free-thinking individual challenging the authenticity of the group and its leaders, as being a negative threat to achieving whatever future Utopia the group offers. As you know, classically, in 'Amway,' free-thinking individuals are referred to using dehumanizing terms: 'Dream Stealers' , Broke Losers.' etc. In 'Scientology,' the same free-thinkers have been branded 'Supressives', 'Wogs' etc.

Like high-level Ambots, high-level 'Scientology'initiates see themselves as truthful heroes fighting a never-ending war against evil liars. They are taught never to defend in the face of 'Suppressives,' always attack. They usually stare at their imagined 'enemies' and keep demanding: 'What are your crimes?'

When my brother was an Ambot, he disconnected from anyone who refused to join him. Almost any pretext was found to destroy the credibility of those who spoke out against 'Amway.'Investigative journalists were systematically branded 'communists,'destitute former-adherents who appeared on television documentaries, were called 'pathetic liars who didn't have the guts to succeed.' I was branded a 'selfish loser and liar' for 'refusing to help my brother achieve success.' In reality, I was actually trying to stop my brother from committing financial suicide and bankrupting other members of his family.

    David Brear (copyright 2012)

    1. David - in Amway its probably just called removing negative influences from your life. They keep you so busy in Amway attending meetings several times a week and just hanging out at your upline's house to gain whatever wisdom you can from them that you don't have time to spend with your family and friends anyway which is exactly what the upline wants. To destroy the existing relationships.

  6. Hi Anna
Unbelievably, no, mannatech was not the reason for our split and no my partner (23 years my senior) did not make me pay him back because he (innocently yet foolishly) believed in me and wanted me to succeed.

Now of course theres nothing wrong with being a supportive partner but little did we know that its virtually impossible to succeed in MLM because:

-pretty much everyone in the world knows what network marketing is and always reacts "oh pyramid scheme" and thus are already on the back foot.
-if you do happen to find a prospect its usually someone looking for a JOB (because you were forced by necessity to place a misleading ad: work from home) and as soon as u tell them it costs nearly $200 per month to join (yes!!) they say they cant afford it and bye bye prospect.
-the overhyped claims that the product can cure cancer, aids, bad breath, stubbed toes, and/or death itself instantly raise suspicion in anyone with more than a jelly bean for a brain.

Dallas is a mystery to me because whilst i was sitting in a convention hall cum church for three days, bf was enjoying the sightseeing.

Yes my list had to include everyone even down to people I rode the elevator with. Eventually you can't show your face in public for how embarrassing that was.

The contract was indeed an upline initiative. She was this new-age 50y.o. hipster and the amount of pfaff she went on with!
-"some people are just more successful at this because they have a contract with God"
Can't be bothered typing it out from my iphone, but its basically just the same old shit you had to deal with, different company.

    1. MannatechFool - first off way to go for typing all that out on a phone!

A boyfriend 23 years senior. I like older men too. And younger men. And everyone inbetween!

Yup everything you have said about Mannatech is the same as in Amway including why you can not succeed. Having to lie, place fake ads, harrassing people, etc. And the same reaction from people when they find out its an MLM or network marketing is one thing when they hear its Amway its like you have some deadly infectious disease and they can hardly get away from you fast enough!

  7. Exactly! Its like you become social lepers.
Hey are you in Australia or US?
I'm guessing US by how religious your platinum sack of shit was.
Why is MLM always inbred as a pseudo religion? Its because the same fantasy that appeals to the religious minded is all they are really offering with this 'business'. Mannatech, Amway, monaVie whatever, they are selling a fantasy and a (very poor/borderline abusive) 'self help' program for the lost and vulnerable. That's the 'cult' element that we both saw.

Why did I say borderline abusive?! Yours was outright abuse and degradation by what I've read on your blog.

I love your blog because though all this shit happened to me 8 years ago I've never been able to bitch about it all with anyone who feels the same way.

They're all either in denial and still clinging themselves or have had to be cut out of my life for preservation of my own mental health.

Yeah my current bf is 34 years my senior!!! Irrelevant but entertaining trivia about me. ;)

    1. MannatechFool - in California USA with the rest of the crazies! Not including the ambots that is!

Yes he was fanatic religious to the point where he claimed he was the substitute preacher at his church. I can't verify that one way or the other seeing as how I didn't go but he led Amway meetings like a fire and brimstone preacher from a deep south revival tent so it wouldn't surprise me if he stalked the town looking for any church that needed a fill in!

Our Platinum was a typical cult leader. Abusive and then in the next breath say but we love you and we will always be your true friends forever. Its like being in a sick abusive relationship.

Fortunately as soon as we quit Amway our true friends who will love us forever dropped off the radar never to be heard from again.

There are a lot of former IBO's out there who deny that anything bad happened to them and truly believe the brainwashing that the only reason they didn't succeed in Amway is because they didn't try hard enough and they still feel like losers for quitting.

Sometimes the emotional damage is a lot worse than the financial.

Oh yeah Anna Nicole Smith is my idol!

  8. LOL Anna Nicole Smith.

Was she ever in Amway? ;)

    1. I think that was just a vicious rumor started by her former step-son who was trying to tarnish her image so she wouldn't get her fair share of the inheritance!

  9. You know, if anybody tried to tell me to leave my wife, or if I ever heard someone tell my wife to leave me because I don't conform to the cult ideal.

they would not like the results... especially when they look in the mirror because someone would get hurt...say what you want about me.. but never ever fuck with my family..

Anna , I wouldn't want to meet you in a dark alley!

    1. Matt - you and I and most of the world's population would think that too, but we are the ones who don't know what its like being brainwashed by a cult leader and what kind of mind control these Amway gods preach to control their flocks of cult followers.

Amway (and especially agents acting on the company's behalf aka our fucked up upline) was fucking with my family and my life and I hated this treatment so much that I started a blog. I also hated that Amway - the head office corporation - refused to do piss all about complaints about being abused by our upline. Sending nasty text messages to my husband saying they are praying that I will find another man and leave him because he's not man enough to build an Amway business. Sickening what this cult does!

I do walk a lot at night - with my big dog! I stay out of dark alleys though! Don't worry about meeting me in one!

Ambots need to worry about meeting me in Starbucks! Though I guess they really can't afford to go there. Dunkin Donuts or McDonald's maybe!

  10. Hey everyone, don't forget about the lost wages from work that you lose every time you take time off work to attend these "all important" functions. Something you might want to take into consideration, as well.

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!

If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
