Is Amway Really Worth Divorce and Bankruptcy?
my husband and I were IBO's for about 3 years until I got pregnant with my first child. During those 3 years, our relationship was tested to the max. We almost divorced numerous of times because we would argue about how I no longer wanted to do Amway, and he liked the association of our upline so felt like he was doing this for "our future". I get it, the people we were around weren't douchey, they were fun and we still talk to some of them. I liked a lot of the wives etc, but I also felt like most of them were trapped in the 1950's submissive lifestyle. NOT for me. I think being around those other men (who most of them were younger than us and doing "well" in the business, but not retirement level) made my husband felt important. We finally stopped going and no longer IBO's once I had my daughter and within a year we had to file bankruptcy because we were spending about $1000 on credit cards on products, books and CDs. I never felt comfortable at the meetings, and while we were apart of the business my husband was a completely different person than who he was when I married him. I am so thankful that we got out. Now we are married 8 years, 3 kids and stronger than ever!
I really appreciate when readers take the time to tell their stories so other readers know they’re not alone in what is happening to them.
This woman’s story is typical except fortunately they got out of Amway before having children because life would have been hell to the kids too if their parents were Amway ambots. 3 years is a little longer time spent in the Amway hell hole than most IBO’s who quit after a few months or within the first year or so when they see how much money they’re losing.
Yup almost getting divorced or getting divorced all part of the master plan of the assholes in your Amway upline. Nothing gives those sick bastards more pleasure than destroying other people’s relationships. Cult life! No place for people who refuse to submit to the great Amway cult leader! Usually the wife is the one who doesn’t want nothing more to do with the Amway cult so the cult members go on the attack. Well excuse us for wanting to save our finances and family you fucked up Amway assholes!!!! Get the hell away from us!
One thing that Amway cult leaders talk about is the ambots association with others and who they should associate with. Yeah well some of us don’t like to associate with fucking Amway liars so fuck off and leave us alone. Low life scumbags!
Submissive Amway wifes. Check. If you ain’t willing to be a Stepford Wife the Amway cult isn’t the right place for you.
$1000/month spending on Amway products and motivational materials is in the ballpark. I think I averaged it out once at $700/minimum for most CORE ambots. And of course the sky is the limit depending on how many shitty overpriced Amway products you got room on your credit card to buy.
Husband is a different person while in the Amway cult. Check. They turn from nice loving men into horrible ugly sneering bastards whose sole existence is to insult and put down others who are not in Amway.
Declaring bankruptcy thanks to the Amway scam. Check. Happens to many.
Glad to hear you got away from the Amway cult and your life is back on track.
