Who Can Say Amway Tool Scam?

Every now and then I get comments from current and former Amway employees. Here’s someone who was stuck inside the Amway tool scam producing .50 cent tapes that were sold to ambots for $5 or $10. With the Platinums and Emeralds out in full force bullying everyone in their downline to buy one thousands of sales were likely made and that’s a pretty good profit for the Diamonds! This is how they make their money. Well they make more money selling tickets to ambots to come here them speak at Amway functions but this is all part of the tool scam. I wonder how much this poor schmuck was paid to give up his weekend and listen to some Amway assholes brainwash their cult followers. Or if some Amway asshole conned him into doing this for free in exchange for the wealth of information he'd be getting by being there at this once in a lifetime opportunity. I always felt bad for the poor bastards who were employed by the arenas where Amway holds their functions cause they’re stuck there probably at a not much better than minimum wage job and they gotta listen to those Amway assholes spouting off their bullshit and they must be horrified at the ambot reactions to the brainwashing techniques and the loving adoration they show to their Amway cult leaders. Yeah you couldn’t pay me enough to sit through those bullshit sessions. And yet those fucking assholes in your Amway upline expect you to pay them to listen to them fuck up people’s lives. Pure bullshit!

I worked for Amcrud in the late '70's, attempting to glean something worthwhile from the various week-end balony sessions. I'm the guy that produced all the spoken-word tapes the rest of the poor, naive boneheads were forced to buy. Friday night, Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday was spent taping every word From On High...about twenty four hours of the worst drivel known to man. Then came the FUN: trying to find ninety minutes of
honesty and genuine instruction I could dub to a ninety minute cassette. (By the way, they cost under fifty cents)It was quickly evident to me the ONLY real money came from "Tool" sales, although this was denied by Birdie in public. If the crowd had only known I'd already seen THE PLAN and felt only total disdain, my shrunken head would no doubt still be used for dart practice in the wealthy suburbs of Charlotte.

  1. WOW, it's like my friend today! She buys CD's that cost $10.00 each every week, twice a week. Her upline has five CDs ready for her to pick up with three new books as well...from the Amway reading list. I believe she said once, each book is not that expensive, it's only $20.00 (WOW, she must be rich). Three times twenty is $60.00, that's quite expensive to me! It'll be her second year this August, she told me she'll be walking the world's many beaches by November while I'll be stuck in the north, brutal cold during winter. I guess someone should have read The Emperor's New Clothes when they were a kid, that fairy-tale might've been Amway in the dark-ages!

Either way, I love your blog Anna, keep on telling the truth about old Scamway!

    1. Hi Anonymous. Glad you're enjoying the blog. Thanks for stopping by. Yup $40 and up per week on CDs and books is the IBO's investment into the tool scam. I'm sure the cults buy the books from the publisher at bottom feeder rates say $1 or $2 and then up sell them to their cult followers at a hefty profit.

Yup they're all going to retire next year and they're all going to be walking the beaches of the world. I bet I walk on more beaches than those ambots do!

    2. CDs??? Who the fuck uses CD's anymore? New Apple computers don't even come with an optical drive and I don't see many people carrying a discman around? If they want to brainwash people they could at least sell podcasts and get with the times.

      Delete
    3. cws259 - many years ago our sack of shit Platinum gave us this "top secret" Amway news that they were going to change all that motivational bullshit speeches into podcasts. I suppose that meant charging a good sized fee for ambots to listen to them. Doesn't seem to have happened. The bigwigs must have decided there was more money in it for them if they kept with the CDs.

  2. Just work it out. These poor people spend about 100 & monthly on tapes books conventions. All bs. A big pin probably has 5000 to 10000 in his group. Lets say 30 per cent are on tools. So you can see why the big pins push so hard. Am i right anna.

  3. Hi Anonymous. Yup your numbers are probably in the ballpark. I've seen posts where Former Diamonds and Emeralds talked about how the real money is in the tools especially in speaking at majors functions and their take of the ticket sales. Yeah the big pins push real hard on the little pins to buy their wares and then the above goes downline from there. You have to buy everything to prove to the assholes in your upline that you're a serious business builder and so you can bask in their attention when they tell you what a winner you are because you bought the CDs and books at overinflated prices.

  4. Damn right, that's where the money is!! Selling their motivational crap. And it's crap all right. Never have I been to a "business" meeting/seminar/training and heard so much garbage and NOTHING to do with any kind of business training. I feel so sorry for these stupid lowly ambots. They're there yelling ra ra ra!! and the poor bastards would never believe it if you told them they were getting fleeced.

It's so clear now, being years older and years clearer-minded, why they insisted on us attending every stupid meeting and training session-- that's the only way they could keep us from thinking. If I had had time to think, I woulda snapped out of it alot earlier. I remember being told that THIS meeting/training/whatever was gonna be THE ONE... Somehow, it was always the same bullshit. Then the upline would come around and ask me if I was blown away. I'd answer-- Yeah!! Problem was-- I wasn't the slightest bit impressed and I actually started thinking that there may be something wrong with ME since I wasn't getting it (the excitement).
I was actually there to build a business. I actually believed it was a real business. I never did understand why all that stupid ra ra ra crap existed. I kept thinking-- "I wanna build a business... I'm not looking for new friends. And if I were, it wouldn't be THESE dweebs". I was, even then, qualified to put a business together and make it successful... Only problem was that this was a make believe business and the real business was selling us crap tapes and functions... ASSHOLES!!

    1. Ambot Dick - I wrote a post once about what really goes on in Amway meetings. Sometimes the cult leader never even says the A word. If they do it usually takes them an hour. Thats cause they spend the first hour bullshitting about everything going on in their lives or in their news because ambots aren't supposed to be watching TV when they can get their cult leaders screwed up version of the world events. Then they show the Scamway business plan. Then afterwards they hold "teachings" or "trainings" or "night owls" and thats when the cult leader bitches at everyone for not bringing anyone to the meeting, the clothes they wear, the car they drive, and anything else they want to abuse their cult followers with. Never any training. That would kind of defeat the purpose. All ambots need to know is buy from their own store and buy plenty of it so everyone upline can make a commission.

There's better places to find new friends than in Amway cult meetings.

  5. Most of the money comes from tools and the money that DOES come from amway-- most of IT comes from those stupid starter kits. Don't underestimate how many kits get "broken open" every month at the bottom level of a diamond's group. And don't forget those ridiculous kits have products in them and carry pv/bv. So once again-- the constant churn of new sheep pays the kingpin assholes!!

    1. Ambot Dick - all IBO's as soon as they sign up are pressued to buy a starter kit because that's what serious business builders do so they can make their cult leaders richer!

  6. This is another thing that needs to not only come to the light, but stay in the light. Many people just think that you make money by selling things, so it's not a scam. They don't realize how these cocksuckers continue on and on about how important these books and CD's are. It's all bullshit. Whatever is said at these dumbass meetings goes on the CD's.

The CD's are to get you more into the cult, that's what it is. Selling things are one thing, and should have been the thing people would do. What the fuck does anyone need CD's for? In addition, if these "tools" are really there to help make the IBO's successful, then why so expensive? Hell, why even have a cost? It's all bullshit. I pray that one day 20/20 or something does a special episode cracking down on this crock of shit scam.

    1. Sprigsleg - very true. Ambots sell products manufactured by Amway and that is what barely keeps them breaking the law. Though it should be against the law to sell overpriced shit!

The Amway CD addiction. All the better to brainwash the cult followers into spending more and more money on the tool scam.

      Delete
    2. Definitely Anna. In fact, those products are what they make everyone believe are the only things they sell. Hell yeah overpriced shit. Every single thing they sell is overpriced, over-hyped shit. I'd take all those CD's a break or burn them if I had the chance.

  7. Sprigsleg.... My wife is the best woman I've ever met and she's smoking hot beautiful as well. If I tell her every day for 6 months that she's a terrible person, and an ugly woman-- she'll start to believe it. THAT is why they want you "plugged in" all the time..... So they can make you believe their bullshit is reality.

I know you know all that-- just venting, that's all... :-)

    1. Ambot Dick - its mind boggling what people in Amway have been brainwashed to believe.

And its sheer hell to watch someone you love drown in the Amway hell hole of abuse.

    2. It's all good Ambot Dick. We all need and have a right to vent especially over this crap. In fact I'd like my fist to do some venting in some Amway bullshitters faces too.

They have in mind the self fulfilling prophecy. They know damn well most people will reject you. In fact, when I was in it my upline one time reached out to 20 people and only 3 of them said they would consider going to a meeting. He then told others higher than him that he booked 3 appointments out of 20, and they told him that was great. WTF! 15% and that's good?

So, yeah you're right that's exactly why they want you "plugged in" all the time. This is in addition to their bullshit. They know you'll get a lot of rejection. They don't want you to say "Man, 30 people and not one wanted in, fuck it, I'm out of this".

  8. Hi Anna! Ambot gave me a business card while I was at the bank. So I stopped by for some laughs. So once again I feel like I should explain what tools are. A screwdriver, a wrench, and a hammer are all good examples of tools. Crappy cd's and books are not tools. If you are an ambot you may notice your car making squealing or knocking noises, or blowing noxious smoke everywhere. I recommend purchasing some real tools and learning how to use them. Next, fire that scamway asshole from your life permanently! So there ya go. Some advice you didn't have to pay for

    1. Hi Anonymous - I had a post a few weeks ago about Ambot business cards with phony business names and phony titles to match their phony Amway business. Do you remember the name? I agree with your definition of tools more than Amway's. I'd add rake and shovel to the list too.

    2. I cannot wait for the next time I get "approached" by an Independent Bullshit Owner. I am going to play along and go to a meeting and ask the most ridiculous questions possible. I am going to make everyone in the room uncomfortable.

I had years of my life with my family stolen by this horseshit so maybe my points I can make (will come prepared with statistics) can save some others from what I went through. I was probably age 9 until 15 during my parents' involvement and I remember their group having seminar/rallies for kids as well. Here, they would tell you, "When you get invited to a friend's birthday party, you should decline so your parents don't have to pay for a gift and can use that money for the business." CULT. CULT. CULT. CULT.

I'm 27 now - I was approached by an IBO around age 19 but I was much too timid to give a good response, just politely declined. One of these days I know I will be approached and I feel bad for the interrogation and humiliation their upline will endure from me.

      Delete
    3. cws259 - ambots have a canned response ready to fight off every objection you give them. You could have more fun saying nothing, go to a meeting, and before they get too far in stand up and yell Is this Scamway. Keep interrupting the meeting. Have someone phone you and chat with them. Disobey the turn off cell phones rule ambots have at meetings. I've got a post somewhere here about how to mess with an Amway meeting and lots of people jumped in with suggestions.

Sorry that your life was messed up with self parents who decided a box of soap was more important to them than their kids.

  9. Wow, it is absolutely incredible how uneducated you people are. Amway has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Amway has been growing over a billion dollars every year during the recession... and yes that's directly in product sales and has nothing to do with tools... they sponsor Free the Children and their We Day events. Free the Children would totally partner with a scam, yeah right. Companies like Barnes and Noble and Budget Rent a Car, Dell, Disneystore.com, Esso, Vistaprint.... you really think companies like these would risk their reputation by not doing their research into whether this is a credible company? Sad thing is this probably won't be posted because you're too wrapped up in your overinflated opinions to actually check out some facts. I'm not even involved with Amway and I have enough of a brain to go and actually do my research. f you're so interested in spreading the truth maybe you should actually spread the truth and not your twisted version of it.

    1. its funny cause ambots say the exact thing about if it was a scam no F500 company would tie into it.

Most of the companies that are 'tied' into amway are near broke or will be going out of business

Sears, BestBuy, barnes and nobles. Don't believe? Check the business section on how those are expected to be one and done within the next few years.

They have ZERO legal ties to amway so its free advertising and the 'commission' they shoot out is laughable, it probably costs more money to process the payment then what the check is worth.

A+ rating with BBB means nothing, if you give amway a negative review BBB tells amway and amway can just ask the person who gave them a negative rating to take the rating back as long as amway can make the person happy (IE bribe). Being accredited means nothing either. It means they PAID BBB to have that logo next to them.

CEO of Amway has gone on record saying that most of their products are sold to 'IBOs' and not to the general retail public. So you are paying a fee to buy overly priced things for yourself to 'support your business'

And yes I was in amway so I would know how this cult works figured it out quick.

    2. Hi Anonymous. My reply to you ended up in cyber hell somewhere. For someone who's not in Amway you sure got the Amspeak propaganda bullshit down pretty good. Did you read the post about Amway and the BBB? In Amway's code of conduct for IBOs it's a violation for the IBO to claim Amway has any affiliation with the BBB and they can be terminated for saying so. If you got dirt on an Ambot report him to the head office in Ada so they can fire his ass. Just so you know the BBB rating is based on if the company responds to the complaint within the time limit and has nothing to do with whether or not the response satisfies the customer. Do you really think those companies you listed only have affiliate agreements with only Amway and not lots of other businesses and individuals? Some lying Amway asshole tell you that? Those companies would be out of business if they relied only on Amway Ambot income. This blog is more about talking about the fucking assholes in the Amway upline instead of what Amway the business is or is not doing. Other bloggers cover the business end. Read them. Did you look at the compensation plan on Amway's own literature. It shows less than 1% of IBO's make money. Is Amway lying when they wrote that? I think not. Are the assholes in Amway lying when they brag about how much money they make. I think so.

  10. Britt Worldwide BWW is a bigger scam than Amway. All top earners make most of their income from the motivational tools (books, CDs, meetings, BBS and conferences). Most ibo don't realize that they are being deceived from the top leaders. The top earners don't care if you lose your job, money etc. All they care about is themselves.

    1. It doesn't matter which Amway cult sect it is, they're all scams where most of the money is made selling tools. Nope, ambots don't realize they're being lied to and being brainwashed by the motivational CD's and the cult leaders. And you're right the top cult leaders don't give a shit about anyone or whether or not they lose their jobs (families, houses, etc.) All they care about is they're still room on the ambots credit cards to keep buying more overpriced shitty Amway products and investing in the tool scam so they can get richer.

And yet another fucking lying Amway asshole shows up to tell me to have fun working my desk job. And yet another fucking Amway asshole won't be able to tell me where this fabled job is and how much money I'm making because I sure don't see anything coming in from this fabled job all you fucking Amway ambots accuse me of having. What's your next stop motherfucker? The senior's home to accuse all the residents there of having a job?

  12. I joined amway last year with my wife we only stayed for 6 months. Every month our upline,a sapphire, kept telling us buy the CDs and the books and go to meetings other wise Amway won't pay you. Yea they told us that. So every month we paid 70 for the CDs and a book 50 for the seminars plus the 250 needed to make the 100pv.

    1. Anonymous - congratulations on getting out of Amway! Yeah that's about the lifespan of most people before they realized they've been scammed. And you're correct about Amway not paying you a skimpy commission of around $10 if you don't buy the minimum amount of Amway products every month. There's all other criteria you're supposed to have too like 10 outside customers who aren't IBO's but nobody can find that many customers and the assholes in the Amway upline aren't going to follow up because if you don't get commission then neither do they.

  13. Last post was in 2015. I wonder if anyone will respond. That aside, I just wanted to hit on the fact that Amway basically fucks your social life until it no longer has the will to live. I am only 19 and have never been a part of Amway (thank god) but I see the detrimental effects it has early on. I think it's safe to say that we all have a core group of people that we are close friends with. Outside that core group is people you follow on social media and minor friends you barely hear from. Then there's acquaintances and people you don't even know.
If you're a brainwashed Ambot than who are you probably going to turn to in order to start up your "business?" I'd put money on them reaching out to the close friends first. I'm sure that if that close group of friends have brains then they won't be very flattered that you came to them first so you could prosper off of their hard work.
I've had a few of those second tier friends come to me from Amway. They always start with the same bullshit. Going back to the texts, both "friends" ask me if I "want to make some extra money." My opinion of those people dropped pretty fucking quick when I saw that shit pop up in our texts. The first one that texted me actually tried to act interested in my life for a bit. I thought it was weird cause I hadn't talked to her for a while and I didn't think I'd hear from her after High School. Everything made sense when I heard that "copy-paste" phrase.
Amway doesn't only affect you financially. Amway encourages you to reach out to the people you care about and offer them this "golden opportunity." Whether they actually believe you can make a living through Amway or that it'sa scam, you can always be 100% sure they just want to better themselves via you.

    1. Hi Nick. First off you're pretty smart for 19 years old and figuring out to stay away from these scam MLMs!

Amway and other MLM cults will only bring financial and emotional distress to your life. It's all about making those at the top of the pyramid richer.

And we have posts around here saying beware of long lost friends who suddenly reappear and want to talk to you about a "business opportunity". If it's not Amway it'll be another MLM scam.

You probably got all the canned Amspeak when it comes to recruiting a prospect including showing interest and complimenting you. That's a cult tactic called love bombing.

It says in the small print on Amway's brochures the amount of participants who make money and its a fraction of 1%. You're smart enough to figure out that's over 99% failure rate and you can probably find something else with better chance of success.

I'll give you a little big of advice but won't specifically give you a stock tip. Start saving for your retirement at a young age. Take a portion of your income and save it until you have a lump sum where you can purchase a financial product. Open an account with a discount online broker and buy stocks or bonds or funds. That you have researched first. You'll come out way ahead of those Amway losers.

Good luck to you and stay away from those Amway scammers.

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!

If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. Gets checked occasionally. We’ll get to you eventually and approve it as long as it really isn’t spam.
