Amway Diamonds Are Broke

According to Amway literature Amway Diamonds make around $150,000 a year.
According to the assholes in your Amway upline Amway Diamonds make millions of dollars a year!
150k is not a bad income. A person can have a decent house, nice cars, take a couple of vacations and put some money in the bank if they’re careful what they do with their money.
Some Amway diamonds make the bulk of their income from speaking at Amway functions. That’s where the money is – ticket sales. Also selling CD’s of themselves bullshitting the crowd with their “motivational teaching”. Gag gag gag!!!! But not all Diamonds are on the preferred speaking list so some diamonds earn more cash than others but a diamond could earn several thousand or tens of thousands more a year by this tool income. Depends where they are on the get a bigger piece of pie plan. And Diamonds ain't forever. Many drop off the radar because they couldn't keep bullying their downline to buy buy buy.
An Amway Diamond according to Amway’s literature is in the ballpark as our income. I keep getting fucking Amway assholes showing up here and leaving comments that I’m broke even though I’m very careful with my money. So if you go by Amway ambot logic if I’m broke then so are Amway Diamonds. All of us are broke who have incomes around 150k. That’s how a brainwashed Amway asshole thinks. That’s not enough money! Greed rules! You’re a broke loser you fucking Amway Diamond according to the Amway IBO’s in your downline!
A person can live a decent lifestyle on this income if you watch how you spend it. From what I’ve seen of Amway Diamonds they live beyond their means. They buy mansions a fleet of sports cars and fly first class to exotic destinations multiple trips a year and supposedly they pay cash for all of this.
That lifestyle just ain’t possible on 150k without going into some serious debt.
And there have been reports of Diamonds going into foreclosure. Lets see if you paid cash for the house then there wouldn’t be a mortgage and impossible for a bank to foreclose. What about bankrupt Diamonds. No. How could it be possible that Diamonds who buy everything with cash and don’t take out loans and credit cards could declare bankruptcy. Could it be that Diamonds are liars about paying for everything in cash? I can just see Amway assholes reading this and throwing their arms up in the air and shrieking NO NO NO!!!! You’re the liar you broke loser.
They’d have to be living on credit to bullshit ambots into what is a Diamond lifestyle. You can’t live a millionaire lifestyle on an income that’s in the low 6 figures. Amway is all about fake it till you make it. Amway is all about going into debt.  Amway is all about lying to trick others that you are richer than you really are and making good money at this scam.
Not hard to figure out at all why Amway diamonds are broke.
Its just those fucking little Amway assholes that show up here to say that I’m broke when unlike their beloved Amway Diamonds I have never had to file bankruptcy or had the bank foreclose on my house. Hell I’ve never even had a call from a bill collector. I have an excellent credit rating but those fucking Amway assholes that read my blog accuse me of being broke.
In other words they accuse someone in the same income bracket as a Diamond of being broke so that shows their low opinion of broke Amway diamonds! Fortunately I don’t have Diamond sized expenses and I manage my money pretty good. So if these fucking Amway assholes think I’m broke then they are putting Amway Diamonds in the same category. Same income. Same broke.
Fucked up Amway asshole logic!
And from marriedtoanambot let’s just send another big old FUCK YOU out to Amway Scamway and their scammer army of Ambots.

  1. Anna, your blog ROCKS!!!!

Anyway, Amway Diamonds are just overgrown adult loosers living in their mother's basements pretending to hit it big, while racking up some serious debt. All of them will never know the actual meaning of "independent"!

    1. Hey thanks! You rock too! I knew a lot of ambots who were still living at home with mommy and daddy and bragging about how much money they were making in Scamway. Yeah right.

    2. Wow, I knew it. The Caucasian groups of amway must be absolute crap, look whoever you are I am an executive diamond my name is Theo im Columbian and I started my buisness about 3 years back and look where I got now, I earn 300k a year on a bad unproductive year and 460k a year when my 11 groups of 100 people each try hard, I'm with Equipo Vision and we qualify diamonds and new emeralds almost monthly, under me I have 15 Diamonds, 30 Emeralds, And so many platinums, you are very negative I can tell you just failed, you must not have dreams, or any sort of ambitions. I can't believe my associates and I came to america illegally and in a few years made a fortune, wow you white people are cocky and just suck at business marketing.... Yeah look amway pays me a solid check every year but with that check I became the proud owner of 4 McDonald's franchises, 2 Dennys Dinners, I own 1 Holiday Inn, 5 Gas Stations, and I own 1k shares of Apple, Cerner, Manchester United, and MicroSoft yeah but sure I'm an "amway lying cheat", I try to help people but they're to negative, lazy, with no ambition, but why care about people like you I'm rich and im not even legal, and I don't care if I get deported, ill just get to live in my Columbian Mansion, don't join any of those white people groups join equipo vision (team vision) my name's Theo again have a happy miserable life, working while im 33 and retired! Cya at my McDonald's Anna :p

    3. Theo - OMG. Where to start? Besides the obvious that you seem a little racist against Caucasians.

How ironic this comment shows up just as I'm getting ready to spend the day down in Tijuana and I don't have to worry going down or coming back cause I'm not illegal.....

Diamonds are not reading this blog. Neither are Emeralds, Platinums or any IBO who LOVES Amway and LOVES their upline. Unless they're really fucked in the head. More fucked in the head than what Amway does to them. People do not read and comment on blogs that poke fun at things they like. Unless they're fucked in the head like I previously covered.

I get some low level IBO's showing up here bragging about how much money they make but everyone in Amway is a liar so that's nothing new.

Wow you got so far in 3 years! I'm amazed the Amway media machine isn't blowing this out their asses that this immigrant made it big in Amway and has bought millions of dollars worth of businesses, etc etc. Usually they're screeching this stuff everywhere they can!

And why aren't you already retired? Surely you've got competent staff at all your businesses who can take care of things while the money rolls in for you?

You're just a day's drive from me. I've got a friend in a nearby town that I can come over and visit. Tell us which McD's and we'll be sure to come over and say hi.

    4. I have to agree with Theo, I have a different perspective though. I was in Amway back in 96 to 99. I never made much money because I never followed the system. I got in because a friend of mine was landscaping an Amway Emrald's house in my area. He is still my friend today and his upline Diamond is still living in Porter County and still has his plane, Cars, 1.8 million dollar home and even he admits that the downturn in the economy hurt his business. But the people like you Anna are just the type of people who are negative for your own reasons. I really just stumbled upon this blog but I took time out of my day to make a post. The things I learned from Amway I have always used in my everyday life. I dont regret the couple grand I spent over three years on functions, meetings and tapes. They teach you to keep positive, keep pushing to achieve your dreams, and to never quit. I know there are some greedy morons in the business. What kind of revelation is that I ask? That goes with any type of business. You do seem bitter for some reason. Let it go and quit wasting your time posting about a few bad people in a widely successful business that has been around longer than we have. I have had my own business for over 12 years and I am not rich but I am happy because I am my own boss. Its not about money Anna, its about having the freedom to choose your own hours and not answering to anyone. I hope you are doing that now. But from the sound of your post you are still stuck working for someone who you have to answer to. Just let go of whatever made you write this post and you will be better off down the road. Bitterness will eat you up.

    5. Anonymous - you agree with Theo the lying little Amway ambot who shows up here pretending to be an executive diamond? Well Amway is a pretend business so those ambots can pretend whatever title they want to be. But really? You believe that lying sack of shit?

And if you only spent a grand in 3 years in Amway you weren't really doing Amway, probably just helping out someone with pity purchases. These days Amway Ambots easily spend a grand a month on this scam. There's a lot of money lost and lives destroyed.

Those motivational books and tapes you mentioned? You kind find better stuff free at the library or online. You don't have to pay some fucking asshole in your Amway upline $100+ a month for that shit.

It looks like you're still brainwashed after all these years of being out. Amway is a blame the victim scam and you're blaming yourself (as brainwashed from your cult leader) because you didn't follow the system. The system that's designed for failure. Over 99% of IBO's don't make money at Amway.

Hopefully you found a business with better odds than less than 1%. I know we did.

Why do Amway ambots keep accusing me of having a job? Sure I work at our business and yes that technically means I'm a boss but I don't go around flaunting that in people's faces because I'm not an arrogant prick. What's so wrong with having a job? I'm glad the people who work for us don't have that attitude. I'm very thankful for our staff, without them I'd have to spend more hours working instead of going for lunch with friends and family, taking care of everything around the house, going to the Y, so I'd say my time is more or less my own except for when I go in to help.

Oh and seeing as how I'm not in Amway - of course life will be better down the road! LOL!

    6. Sorry for the late reply. But, perhaps Theo is still around to clarify his math. He actually did an amazing job supporting Anna's claim that Amway diamonds are full of crap or they are in a great deal of debt.

So, Theo came here illegally and started his Amway business. By his admition, he's only been in that business 3 years. Astonishingly, he makes $300k on a bad year and $460k on a good year. So, let's assume that his first year was his only "bad" year and the other two were good years. So, Theo grossed $1.22 million over a three year period. Let's assume that he paid taxes (maybe he didn't since he's here illegally). Let's also assume he had some living expenses during that time. So, Theo took home some fraction of $1.22 million in that time.

So how does a fraction of $1.22 million pay for 4 McDonalds franchises, 2 Denny's Diners, 1 Holiday Inn and 5 gas stations? How about the claim of 1,000 Apple shares. It could be possible that Theo had just purchased the share in a weeks before his post (after the 1:7 split that occurred on June 9th, 2014) which would have set him back about $93,000. However, if he were to claim that he owned the Apple stock for more that one month, he's saying that he purchased 1,000 shares of a stock whose value ranged between $300 and $600 per share over the three years that he's been in business. Let's just assume he purchased it over time at an average of $450 per share - so $450k out of his claim of making $1.22 million.

Theo is either full of crap or Theo has a great deal of debt. His numbers and claims just don't add up. Maybe he really has those things and his debt will result in his retiring at 33 years old to his mansion in South America. I would lean toward him being full of crap, though.

Being an employee working for someone else at $150k per year is a good place to be. Considering benefits like healthcare and retirement, the total compensation package likely approaches $200k. Anna, you are far better off than the average American. I find it hard to believe that there is a massive number of Amway folks doing that well. And, those that are doing that well are doing so at the expense of the poor folks duped into working below them. The company simply doesn't make that kind of margin on its products nor is there that much product being distributed. The diamond money comes from selling the "tools" that the lower level people think will get them "rich" too.

Let's be honest. Nobody wants Amway's overpriced soap or shampoo. So, the real money is in selling the dream. Nobody is coming into any of Theo's four McDonalds franchises to buy a dream (or motivational CD about how you too can own a McDonalds). They want a product. And the McDonalds franchise owner makes their money on selling lots of product. Amway folks really don't sell all that much product. They do sell a lot of seminars and CDs though!

    8. An Ambot will never come back to clarify their "math". Because even they know it won't add up. Someone making the kind of money Theo claims would have to have thousands in in downline (and how he got that many in 3 years when most people will tell you that even getting ONE recruit is harder than hell because of Amway's bad reputation). And he'd have to be well known in Amway as one of the speakers in on the tool scam as well as talking at functions to all the brainwashed sheep. That's where diamonds get most of their money from.

No, Theo is like so many other "fake it til you make it" Ambots who come in to defend their Amway god. Lying and bullshitting.

      Delete
    9. Yup the life of an Amway Ambot is to lie, deny, distract, defend, and then disappear.

Though maybe that was Theo who popped in last week. After leaving 2 short insulting comments full of typos the 3rd comment was he's a triple executive diamond.

The numbers any ambot throws out at you will never add up. Its all about confusing the victim tossing out numbers that sound good but in reality won't be. Its about the only thing taught at Scamway meetings.

  2. Great job with this one Anna. All of the entries are great, but this one really can be a forefront entry. All of those people getting false hopes that one day they can live large thanks to this scam. It always amazed me how in the world can these so called "Diamonds" or "Emeralds" have so much money, yet need to have another job at least? I thought they were earning so much from this scam that they wouldn't need it. This is something many people need to know. I'm thinking about 95% - 99% of the people in this crap have other jobs. The idea was to reach a level where the scam would provide such a high salary that you don't need anything else and can have all the time in the world with massive money pouring in. Bullshit.

    Replies
    1. You got it Sprigsleg. Amway is all about selling the hope. And yup everyone in our upline to Emerald had jobs other than Amway. Well they'd need to. Amway is a very expensive social club! I don't remember any Diamonds working outside jobs but they sure had to hustle their asses working the Amway scam and bullying their downline to buy more buy more! Diamonds don't retire. They can't afford to or else it means going back to working a job as many have found out.

      Delete
    2. There is no problem with having another job with Amway, especially if you have a high paying career. If your career pays you 100k per year and you make 50k a year in amway, are you going to be complaining?

      Delete
  3. Hi anna. I think the 150 k is a gross figure. A diamond is constantly on the road so i expect expenses would eat up at least half that. And thats income for 2 people. So net its a small income. You wont buy much for cash on that. And it takes 10 years to qualify. In addition diamonds are unable to requalify so their income crumbles.its just impossible to keep 6 legs going. So i just dont see why anyone would bother.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Anonymous - I'm sure its a gross figure and its not the exact figure on Amway literature but its within a few thousand, I just like to work in round numbers. Don't forget the tool scam money. Diamonds speak at a few rallies a year even if they don't get one of the major functions. We always had to write our checks out payable to cash so the Diamonds could avoid paying taxes on it. Gross or net and with or without a few cash events Diamonds can't afford to live millionaire lifestyles on that income. Everything crumbles. People quit. People get fired. People have enough of the Amway bullshit. I'm sure our upline Diamond has a huge hole in his income these past few months after Amway fired our sack of shit Platinum. He defected to Monavie and took a lot of his downline with him.

      Delete
    2. Hi anna. Me again. Indeed they do get speaking fees. With so many going to functions this is surely nice income. But when the diamond falls out of qualification fees dry up. Its only the few legend high pins who managed to keep the bulk of tools money among themselves who make big money.

      Delete
    3. Anonymous - you and I might know this thanks to high level Amway IBO's who spilled their guts about the Amway tool scam but we'll never convince a brainwashed Ambot. Only a handful of Diamonds have kept their status and they have to keep working and speaking. The only ones who retire are the people who own Amway and their heirs. Everyone else keeps working the scam.

      Delete
    4. Your right, diamond don't requalify, but their bonus checks still come in ever month and year and their income actually grows because the real money in made in the depth of your business, not by how many legs you have.

      Delete
    5. Actually I'm wrong. Diamond are able to requalify.

    12. Anna. There may be lies that you can work for a few years and retire. People also make money and live beyond their income, which is not amways fault and it happens to 90% working class people. Obviously this is a business. As with any business you need to keep producing turn over, else you lose it. Same with a job. Amway should just be a vehicle to provide that additional income to reinvest say into property or other investment opportunities. If it crumbles after 10 years fine...shit happens, you would still have many properties providing you with rental income. Where can you do that with a conventional job???
if someone unemployed joins amway..great! They have an income. Not everyone needs to be billion aires.
When people join and leave their permanent jobs, that is their own risk and only they are to blame if they get financial issues.
lastly why cant people still work if they are diamonds? Believe it or not...some people do enjoy their careers. And why must they only do amway and sit at home on their asses?

American sport stars have the same lifestyle as diamonds.. earn a fortune for a few years and then they get too old at 35. LOL

stop seeing amway as this bullshit scam promising to make you rich.
It only suggests you could be if you work hard at it.
If it only provides $1000 or 2000 per month extra, that should already be awesome. Where else would you get that working 4 hours a week?
recessions happen and effect more than just amway. Many entire coutries went bankrupt due to economic recession.

i say forget chasing or hating the dream and just make some extra money. And invest.

      Delete
    13. "if someone unemployed joins amway..great! They have an income"

No they don't. Unless they can sell the already ENORMOUSLY overpriced products for any kind of profit to a large customer base (something few Ambots can get working for them as other than pity purchases, the rest of the population can find better products at their local stores for wayyy better prices and convenience), then the only other thing is to self-consume and then try to recruit others to self consume and find others, etc. i.e. pyramid scam.

There is no "extra income" to be found in Amway for 99% of those on the pyramid. It's how pyramids work. Only those at the top make money... off of the 99% of those below them. And thus their "job" becomes trying to keep those below them inside the pyramid motivated to be "fired up" and keep on losing money month after month with promises of "success just around the corner". But if you used something called math and factored in your tiny $10 commission check for $300 of product dumped into Amway (of which odds are is for self consumption) and how many people you'd need below you where you'd get a fraction of what they buy, you'd see that it takes hundreds in a downline to break even once all costs are factored in (including the brainwashing seminars and "tools"... where the diamonds in reality get most of THEIR money from).

Same old Ambot propaganda. "Hey, this is a great way to make a little extra income" when the truth is, for 99% of people, no matter how hard they work the "plan", it's a month by month LOSS of money due to how hard it is to get people roped into the scam and then hold them there once they are losing money left and right to it.

      Delete
    14. Anonymous - fortunately you don't have what it takes to be an Amway Ambot so hope you're not losing too much money while you figure that out. See you're too nice. The secret to success in Amway is you have to be the most obnoxious fucking asshole around. Most people don't have it in them.

Your last sentence is correct. Find a way to make extra money and invest it.

If you're inside the Amway cult, the cult leaders will tell you to "invest" you money back in Amway buying shitty overpriced products and investing in the tool scam.

Normal people know to invest in real estate or stocks or classic cars or what have you.

Not filling the garage with soap they'll be using for the next 20 years because they can't find any suckers to sell it to.

  4. Hilarious when i was reading this. Wonder how the wwdb cult leaders explain how they took 5+ yrs to get a new diamond.

    From one of ibofightbacks websites
It's now official, Dean and Marcie Whalen in Edmonton, Alberta are now Diamonds in the World Wide Dreambuilders LOA in the Amway business.

I believe it's been 6-7 years since WWDB has had a new Diamond and this is pretty awesome news. Word on the street is in a year and with their current business they will be founders Diamonds next year this time. They would be the first to do that since Brad and Julie Duncan went Founders Diamond.

  5. I once was recruited for Amway, and even signed up for a few months. I immediately stopped when I found out my sponsor and his wife had been at it for a few years and were STILL working jobs! They of course made it seem like they were living the "dream."

A few years passed and I had started my own business - something that actually created value in this world, when I ran into those sponsors. They had a proposal to make to me and I agreed to meet them for coffee. To my surprise they never talked about Amway in this coffee meeting and had proposed what we thought was a legitimate partnership with another business that they started. They invited me to a "marketing" conference, and told me some very successful "entrepreneurs" would be speaking. I thought I might learn something so I decided to attend. To my horror it was a Fu&^%&ing AMWAY rally. After the meeting, they asked me what I thought and I politely told them that I was not interested in Amway. They asked me if I wanted freedom and told me I would be an idiot to pass this "opportunity" up again. I told them to go F&@ck themselves.

A couple years have passed since then and my business has outgrown their "dream" business ten fold and they are still slaving away, loosing friends, creating enemies and trying to recruit people who want to "live the dream." I don't think they get it.

They all yap about freedom and dreams and how you'll be rich in 2 - 5 years even though the ones saying it have been in for a lot longer than that losing their money and pretending everything's going great. 6. Funny. In a so called real job, you work every week until you retire at 65 or so.
About 45 years of your life.
And most people retire on the pension / social security.
That makes working a great way to becone financially free!!

With Amway, if it takes 10 years to get an income of $1000 a week, you are better off than traditional workers.

So what if Amway people still have jobs. You do till you are 65.
It takes time to build any business.
And so what if Amway people are out building their business alk the time.
      You are for 45 years.

I would rather the hope of an Amway business than the no hope of a job.

Yes, there are very successful people working jobs but 95% of people are struggling.
      Amway is no different.

      Delete
    7. Alan - if you're putting all your hope in Amway then you have no hope at all. Look at the small print on Amway's literature where it shows that less than 1% make money. Reverse that to read over 99% failure rate. Surely you can find a business with a better success rate than that. And surely you can find a commissioned sales job that pays better than $10/month.

Amway is very different. Its a system designed for failure. Have you ever taken a job anywhere else where your boss wanted you to fail? I doubt it.

      Delete
    8. I definitely agree 100% with Alan. If you are teamed up with the wrong people then you of course there is the chance of failure- say what you want. When you are Teamed up with the right team that actually cares about you, and builds your business because when you succeed then they succeed. It's a no-brainer . You Go 50/150 for 3 out of your first 6 months you get $50/per month that you do plus your regular business $'s you'll be around $60-$260/month that you do. Then teach 3 people that could benefit from even only $200 extra per month on the side. Help them do what you did in your first 3 months, go 50/150, then go Fast Track making between $500-1100/month with the fast track bonus and regular business $'s. I could go through the entire business plan. but the moral of the post is that if I help you make $4000/month The Amway corporation will pay me $850/month, now what is bad about that? When we build teams it's with people that want to grow and make a difference in there own and others' lives. That who i'm looking for and connected with. I feel bad for the people on here saying that they "TRIED" to work it, that means they never actually put the work in. It's like this, 5 seagulls are on a dock and one decides to fly away, How many seagulls are left?......5. Just because you decide to still doesn't mean you have flown away yet action brings results. Get out there, build your business. That's why there is a 90 day money back guarantee so you can't be out anything. As for the products 180 day money back guarantee, so nothing to lose everything to gain if you have a dream and want to make a difference in many lives. Are your families dreams worth it? Do you believe in yourself? Be bold and go achieve your dreams! You are worth it, and your family is worth it!

      Delete
    9. Anonymous - of course you agree with Alan. Both of you have been brainwashed to spout off the bullshit you hear from your Amway cult leaders. You probably would have better luck trying to sign up 5 seagulls to the Amway scam than you'd have signing up real people!

By the way, they are NOT known to steal from those who are not on to something big.

  6. Really interesting blog. I did Amway for a few months back in the mid 90s when I was in the Marines. One of my sergeants got into it and took a bunch of us to a rally at Long Beach, CA and it was all a big huge deal. I signed up and even tried to work it, but that wasn't good enough. I had to buy the tapes too. Not just buy them, but subscribe monthly for new tapes every month.

THis was before the internet mind you. We had to go to these meetings every weekend. WHich was funny cause at the meetings they'd tell us we weren't recruiting enough people, but we had meetings like 3 days a week including all day saturday, and some sundays so I'm not completely sure when we were supposed to actually recruit. And yeah, it was weird and cult like "Tonight we get to watch Dave give the Plan!" Yes, it's the same fucking plan, that Bob, Steve, Al, and Jim have done the last several nights in a row.

I quit it after a couple of months, and my Sgt. gave me all sorts of shit about it for months on end, how I was a loser and wouldn't amount to crap because I have no dreams and no initiative. He just found me on Facebook a few months ago, he quit Amway about a year later, never did make any money at it.

I just started with a new MLM, I've been skeptical of MLMs for years after this. But I researched this one a lot, and it seems very solid. You never just "invite" someone for coffee. You actually tell them what you want to talk to them about and show them some videos online before having them over. Plus, if they just want to use the products and not do any selling, they can do that too. It has been much easier to work by far. And expectations are more realistic.

    1. Hi Tim. Thanks for stopping by with your story. Things never change in Amway except with the Internet ordering now and getting shipped to the house instead of having to haul over to some upline's house to pick up your Amway shit. Ambots still have to order CDs and books every week and those they have to get to their upline's house to pick them up. How about they keep them cause it's going to cost more in time and gas money than what those brainwashing tools are worth!

And don't get me started on those multiple weekly meetings where you hear the exact same thing you heard at the meeting before and the one before that and so on.....

And the abuse you took after you quit is the same abuse everyone else gets too. Plus I get extra when I get Amway ambots showing up at my blog to tell me what they think of me like I haven't heard it a million times before from the assholes in our upline!

Good luck with your new venture.

  9. I have to admit, I LOVE THIS. My parents were Amway folks back in the late 80s and throughout the 90s, even into the early 2000s. As a 12 year old witnessing the early years even I had the common sense to look at this yahoos and think, "This is the biggest scam ever"! I grew to resent everything Amway, because my parent's life became consumed with it. They became broke and our family vacations were no longer vacations but these stupid "Functions". OHHHHHHHHH I HATE those FUCKING Functions. Seeing the greedy diamonds giving their bullshit speeches, I wanted to vomit. Again, this was now how I had to spend our family vacations as a teenager and to say it was hell would simply be an understatement. I even recall when diamond bitch brought her closet full of fur coats so we lowly people could try them on. I hissed at her because I belonged to Greenpeace (got my membership in 3rd grade) and the thought of the whole fur coat thing grossed me out, let alone, all these pathetic women clamoring to touch them. CRAZY!!!

I'll never forget the "Book of Diamonds". I was so enamored with their houses and cars, but also how incredibly douchey and pathetic they all looked.

Now the Internet has made it a more transparent society. I just wish this existed back in the late 80s and I wouldn't have to watch my parents spend tens of thousands of dollars on a lost dream. It's sad really.

Do your research amigos...Forbes.com #25 on the top 100 list...Net-work marketing is a legitimate business...Sears, best buy, Apple, Barnes and Nobles, Office Depot, Disney, and a total of 80 others are all partners with this so call scamway...If Amway is a scam then call the feds because this is the longest scam in the history of the U.S...54 years to be exact...I suggest you read books on the industry (Network Marketing) which has 52 billion dollars in revenue each year...Robert Kiyosaki wrote a book "The business for the 21st Century" also "School of Business"...Other books to get information on the industry "The New Professionals"...Donald Trump and Warren Buffet both have NETWORK MARKETING COMPANIES and they have BILLIONS of reasons as to why I stop and listen to them. Get information from legitimate sources...Or be negative and work for 40 years give your life and youth to some corporate pyramid where only the people at the top reap the big bucks and you do all the work...Listen you don't have to do network marketing to make your dreams come true that so TRUE but staying where you are is definitely NOT the answer. If you have capital to build a business then do so help the economy and build something of your own. Hope you all have much success in life.

I've done enough research minimal as it may be that I have a good idea what will happen to a person if they jump onto the subway lines that I don't have to experience it firsthand and can draw on someone else's experience that they got themself electrocuted to death. 3. What if staying where I am WILL fulfill my dreams? What if my dreams aren't as selfish and petty as the typical Ambot dream?

As for Warren Buffett and Donald Trump: Warren Buffett does in fact own an MLM (let's call it what it is) but if you look into it, it is run much different from the one we are discussing, and he really isn't directly involved with it. He's not going out to conferences to give speeches. He's not selling pots and pans. Trump is really good at making money for himself so, he started his own MLM and placed himself at the top. If these two men had the blind faith that you and the millions or other sheep around the world do, wouldn't they just sign up in the same fashion you did? Start at the bottom? Work your way to riches? These guys are telling you to sign up for MLMs while they own them. This doesn't leave a funny taste in your mouth?

    5. Though this comment does not refute anything above...

Poker is a phenomenal metaphor for this. The best poker players in the world don't play every card they are dealt. They recognize winning card percentages, cost to play, table volatility, sunk loss, emotions, tendencies of other players, and play their cards accordingly, separating themselves from pride and ego. Folding your cards does not entail 'losing' or 'quitting'. Yes, any hand you are dealt could be the one that wins you all the chips, but playing every hand like it is a flush straight will bleed your chips dry.

    1. Hi Anonymous - so you're saying that the literature that Amways head office sends out about expected compensation for a Diamond being around 150k is a lie? According to your figures? Shocking! You know the correct income and Amway's head office is way off base by a half a million. Thank you for stopping by and setting us straight. But what a dilemma. Who should we believe? Amway's head office or an Ambot?

      Delete
    2. Hey there Anna,

You know, in this specific case, you don't have to choose who to believe because they're both correct in a way. Diamond do make 150K a year FROM AMWAY. However, let's not forget the money one makes selling books and CDs and tickets to various functions. This money doesn't come from Amway... so the company doesn't include it in their figures.

But on this note, why don't you get a look at this website, it breaks up a diamond's revenue better than I ever could:

      http://www.cocs.com/jhoagland/tools.html

      Delete
    3. Tobbi - you are probably right. Diamonds have other incomes on top of their Amway income whether that means their share of the profits from the tool scam or other investments. They can't live an Amway Diamond millionaire lifestyle on only Amway income.

      Delete
    4. That 150k for diamonds you see is actually what's required by the federal trade comission. We're not suppose to show the real averages when we show the plan, people won't believe them.

    5. Hold on Darnell, are you saying that your parent company doesn't provide full income disclosure of diamonds? Shouldn't the FTC know that they are LYING about the income of this opportunity?

I call BS on this entire statement. The primary drive of recruitment is fulfilling dreams of insurmountable wealth. Being a millionaire. I've even heard IBOs discuss BILLIONAIREs they've met. How many IBOs have come in here claiming they know someone who makes "gazillions'?

So are you telling us that diamonds make more? Sounds like a stronger selling point.

      Or is it less?

Either way you are claiming that your parent company has not provided proper information to a governing body, and, based on how you say "we're not supposed to...", this is a taught practice within your organization, going up and down your line. Either you, and your organization are lying, or there is something much worse afoot.

So, Darnell, is it WWDB? Network21? BWW? URA?

Or are you going to run and hide, realizing you have made a dangerously invalid remark, with a face attached?

      Delete
    8. "you are all broke". Love that brainwashing. They are all taught by their cult masters "everyone not involved with Amway are broke losers", which is ludicrous to anyone not brainwashed. They defend Amway as being a multi-billion dollar company, not taking into account that they got that rich off the backs of their poorly commissioned sales people self-consuming the horribly over-priced products and going out and recruiting others to do the same. But like any pyramid based upon recruitment and not selling products to an outside customer base, the only folks who have any hope of making above breaking even are a very small percentage (less than 1% by Amway's own literature) and they do that on the backs of people are recruited in and lose money hand over fist while being bullshitted with "you gotta hang in there, success is just around the corner" and "you just aren't working hard enough", neither which is usually true.

Anyone can say "..it had help more people become financially free" without any actual proof or statistics other than that's what your upline told you. But then again, that's what everything in Amway is based upon. Lies, double-speak, "fake it til you make it", tricks and bullshit to reel someone in and get them plugged into the "motivational" (brainwashing) system to make them "dream" instead of THINK and do the math.

      Delete
    9. You said it Anonymous! At every Amway meeting the Ambots are brainwashed to believe that everyone who isn't in Amway and that would be the majority of the world, is broke. Its more likely that everyone in the Amway meeting is broke. So by Amway Ambot logic Donald Trump, the Queen of England, Bill Gates, Oprah, Warren Buffett, and Richard Branson are all broke.

And what's with those ambots that show up here bragging about how much money Amway made in sales last year. That's good news for the owners of Amway but how does that affect their lowly paid commissioned salespeople.

Ambots also show up here claiming that Amway has made more millionaires than Microsoft or Google of wherever but so far no one's shown up with a list of the millionaires for comparison.

  13. I have a friend that's with Amway. He tried to get me to join a couple of months back to which I said no. He's not totally sold on it either. He goes to a lot of the conferences and weekly meetings and is actually doing pretty well which he thinks is just luck. I did my own research and i did find that yes some "diamonds" go broke by spending money that isnt there. I've also found out that by doing a lot day in and day out in getting people to buy or make connections for them to join is tough but they say is well worth it. My view on it: It can work if you put the effort and time in. But at the same time it's not for everyone. I do believe it takes the right people to go Diamond or Ruby or Emerald in the business. Is it a scam? To some maybe but from what I've read, I'm not convinced it is.

    1. Anonymous - good on you for saying NO to Amway. As you've figured out its just a big game of make belief.

The scam comes in due to the lies ambots tell about the compensation and how they hide how much money you really have to spend each month in Amway, a lot of it on the tool scam. The way to make money is selling CD's and tickets to functions. That's where the money is and the profits are only divided among a small group at the top of the scheme. If you come back, take a look at the links on the right side of this page. One is for a free ebook called Merchants of Deception and that will spell out to you exactly what life inside Amway is like.

      Delete
    2. Certainly everyone who visits this site needs to read Merchants of Deception. I found it when (probably in 1999) I was looking for the New Zealand Amway web site which, for some reason best known to themselves, was no longer amway.co.nz. It is now, of course, but then (if memory serves me right) it had more to do with the year 2000 than the name Amway. I was pretty shocked by this book, but all the questions I’d been asking myself (but didn’t dare voice to my upline) suddenly had answers that made sense. Personally, however (regardless of what I think of the Amway Corporation or the "tool scam") I have great admiration for anyone who manages to build a successful Amway business because the work they have to do is my idea of absolute hell. I sometimes wonder if it was for Mary Henderson (if not Tony) because, some time in the 90s when we were no longer in Amway, Mary’s secretary admitted that Mary had declared she was happy to stop where they were at the time (which I think was Double Diamond) because she was “sick of all the bloody hard work”. They couldn’t stop, of course. If they had their income would have gradually died off and they’d have lost their Double Diamond status. They wouldn't have sunk into poverty, though, because they'd wisely invested their income and (at l east while we were distributors) they didn't live a flashy lifestyle.

  15. First of all Amway/WWDB is not a "get rich quick" scheme. You cannot expect to get "rich" overnight. That's not what it's about. It's called delayed gratification. Plant your seeds now for future benefit.
Secondly, it says the average income for diamonds is $400k/year, but that the highest paid diamond was over $2.2mil.
Lastly, everyone just needs to settle down. If it worked for you, great! If it didn't, then who cares? Get on with your lives.

    2. Great Post, Anonymous. We were actively involved in the business for years and were greatly blessed in the relationships we have and the things we learned from our upline and all of the Diamonds and above from the seminars we chose to go to. Note that I said chose. The tools and seminars are a choice and are recommended because if you can learn from someone who has already been down a path not to go there, then it will save you time and money. The business isn't perfect because people aren't perfect. Greed and ego can lead people to make stupid decisions, that can hurt other people. That did happen in our upline and it affected our business and drive to even actively pursue it. Even with that I don't regret for a minute our involvement in the Amway business model and would encourage others to pursue it for the personal development alone.

  17. Yo. This article is insanely biased. Ive never been one to like amway, for the most part I do think its annoying but theres no denying thr fact that most of my family that came from a 3rd world country and were piss poor came up with this business with years of hard work and effort. 10 years isnt a long time to ask for when you can secure your future. Im pretty sure people who make the same amount of money spend 10 years in school. Amway isnt a scam. You cant expect to make it big without the hussle. No one is guaranteed 6 figure income just because they join. Thats a no brainer. Being an adult I figured you and others would have realized this. Its about the amount of effort you put into this business. You do get rewarded. Ive witnessed this my whole life. Family that lived in a rough area in chicago now own huge houses and cars INDEPENDENTLY because of their hard work in this business. Not everyone who signs up makes it, its all about how much effort you put. Nothing about it is a scam. Before you go running your mouth on something you dont know about try getting some real facts, not your biased opinion. The business is an opportunity, not a hand out.

If you want unbiased look at the Dateline videos done by real reporters interviewing past and current Amway employees. The link is in the upper right hand side of this page.

And no matter how hard you work in a system designed for failure you're not going to make money. Amway's own figures on their literature show only a small fraction of 1% IBO's make money. Thats over 99% failure rate according to Amway what kind of business opportunity is that. Scam! Only the most aggressive liars and scammers make money.

You might love the fucking assholes in your Amway upline so much that you'd be happy to suck dick and kiss ass. Why don't you show them the Amway printed literature you have to show all prospects. You know the one with all the circles drawn on it and it shows how much money you'll make if you find 6 people who do what you do (suck dick, kiss ass, buy hundreds of dollars in shitty overpriced Amway products each month - not easy to find these people by the way!) and they find 6 people and they find 6 people...... But to hell with all that. Look at the small print where it shows how much Amway Diamonds make each year. And the small print that shows the small percentage of 1% of IBO's who make money at Amway and ask them about that. Its printed out on Amway literature in black and white. Amway wouldn't print it out if it wasn't true, would they? The assholes in the Amway upline will start screeching about never question upline and give you some bullshit that what's printed there is only "guidelines" and the real money runs in the gazillions of dollars rolling in each month. You decide whether or not to believe the assholes in your Amway upline or what Amway has in the small print of their own literature. 26. could you explain more about amway. I feel almost certain that it is a pyramid scheme that has only existed through a legal loophole (selling products)

A guy i know is currently trying to get me to join Amway.. now my question is why these people are so focused on gaining more downlines when it seems they could make good profit just by selling products at markup. the same guy thats trying to get me to join amway tells me that he buys lip gloss from amway for 10$ and resells it to people for 20$. Now that might be a ripoff but that part of it at least isn't necessarily scamming (20$ is the retail price of the lip gloss and he buys it discounted due to being part of Amway and paying fees for that).. now.. after all of that.. he still is begging me to join Amway.. there is something I am not being told here. I don't understand why getting new people to join is so much more important than just selling products. That is a big red flag.. but do you know how it works? Do they get commission every time they get a new person to join? Theres got to be something more than just commission.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Anonymous - I think you've figured it out. Amway is constantly associated with being a pyramid scheme, a cult, and selling overpriced shitty products. Like you said big red flags.

Look further up on the right side of this page under Amway related links. There is a link to a free ebook called Merchants of Deception. Read that and it'll answer all your questions. Hope you're into horror tales!

Run, don't walk, as far away as you can from anyone in Amway. They're only out to bring misery to your life.

      Delete
    2. The big reason it smells so much like a pyramid scheme is because, despite loopholes, that is what it is. The don't concentrate on selling the products. Why? Exactly as you mentioned. Sure, nice mark-up for the lipgloss. But... who the hell pays $20 for lipgloss? Heck, who pays $10? I can get good namebrand lipgloss for much less in local stores. This is why the main "consumers" of Amway products are the "recruits". THAT is why they are so hot on recruiting, recruiting, recruiting. Because for everything those recruits buy the Ambots get a tiny percentage. And when I say tiny, I mean spending hundreds in the Amway "dream" and getting small $10 checks back from Amway. Woo hoo! Flush that job! The amount of people each Ambot would have to have under them is prohibitively large to make any profit at all. I say "prohibitively" because even getting ONE recruit is difficult. Most people's bullshit alarms go off, and even ones that sign on out of pity end up bailing if the brainwashing doesn't take hold and they do MATH and see they are going to keep on losing money forever in Amway.

Any "business opportunity" that encourages it's recruits to not look at numbers but instead to "dream dream dream" is a red flag. The old Wizard of Oz "pay no attention to that man behind the curtain", because that "man" is an upline wanting to pick your pocket clean while you are busy with your head in the clouds dreaming.

      Delete
    3. Anonymous - I'm with you. $20+ for lip gloss?!!! Less than $5 for a good name brand at the drugstore. And lots of different varieties to choose from. But yeah its a nice mark up if you can brainwash Ambots to buy it !

    4. Hey anonymous and anna
      Are any of you single

  27. Hi Anna. It didn't let me reply to my other comment so im posting a new one.
Anyway, the lipgloss he gave me was kind of cool. It lights up and stuff.. and has a mirror on it. I don't really check out lip glosses much so idk if the retail value is appropriate. Anyway, yeah so he gave me a lip gloss sample to show to girls to try to get them to purchase lip gloss. I dont plan on giving it back to him since he gave it to him. And i know it costed him like 10 bucks for it haha..
Also, they did give me a protein bar sample which they said costs 3$ per bar. Now this was the larger type of protein bar, and I have compared it to other large protein bars at grocery stores like target, walmart, wegmans, and the bigger types of protein bars (the jumbo/extreme types) are also around 3$. so it doesn't seem like the protein bar price at least is unreasonable.. so i still feel like there is more to this scam that I dont understand. The amway guys I know told me the amway downlnes can purchase the protein bars for 2$ each and sell for 3$ each.. that seems like some good profit if you get a lot of customers ordering bars every month.
Also, the guys that tried recruiting me told me that there is a 90 day money back guarantee. They told me I could join Amway and if i dont like it I could leave within 90 days and get my money back.. i feel like thats a lie.. it has to be. Have you heard about that

    1. Hi Anonymous. Yeah sometimes Blogger has its glitches. Sometimes I've written a post and then off it goes into the twilight zone.

Lip gloss that lights up or the container it comes in lights up? I can see how that would cost extra but is it viable in the market place. How many women out there would buy such a product?

Yeah I'd say keep it. I wouldn't want to get back an already used container of lip gloss. Or any other kind of makeup!

Oh yeah those Amway bars are expensive. $3 per bar seems on the low side. Closer to $5 is more like it but you can't buy them just by the bar. You got to spend $30 to buy a box of them. At least at Walmart and the other stores you can buy a single protein bar without buying a box of them. And they taste better. Amway's are like chocolate coated cardboard. And I'm talking a low quality chocolate. You know like the chocolate that comes in those calendars this time of year that you can buy for under a dollar.

I thought it was a month to get your money back but maybe it is 90 days. Yeah the smart people who quit almost as soon as they sign up can get a refund. People get caught up in the hype of an Amway meeting, sign up, pay, go home and research it on the Internet and go holy shit this is a cult and a scam and get out right away too.

Also, don't you dare question product prices or quality or question anything at all for that matter. It's their way or nothing at all.

My wife is a brilliant artist who could flourish so well on her own making and selling small crafts... but then "she'd be the system" and "everything would depend on her". She'd rather "work Amway for a few years and then spend the rest of her life casually making jewelry and stuff"

I hate them... I hate them more than I ever hated anyone in my entire life for what they did to her. So yeah... be prepared for quite a ride because it's far from being easy living with an IBO.

    2. Anonymous - I'm sorry to hear you're falling for a women inside the Amway cult. Your story is starting to become more common in the past couple of years where its a woman ambot instead of the more traditional male ambot.

You have the good sense to see a "business opportunity" where less than a fraction of 1% of the participants make money (read the small print on Amway's literature) is a system set up for failure.

And sorry to say what you've suspected will happen - the assholes in her Amway upline will do everything they can to convince her to break up with you. Nothing brings those Amway assholes more happiness than destroying other people's relationships. They are sick bastards on so many levels. Bring emotional and financial devastation to everyone they touch.

This is typical cult behavior. No matter what cult she signs up with, the cult leaders do not want their followers in relationships (friends, family, significant others) who are not members of the cult. That's because they are people who might be able to reason and convince their loved ones that the cult leaders are only interested in using them for their money.

Good luck with that. She loves and worships her Amway cult leaders more than you so they'll probably convince her the right thing to do is end the relationship. Depends how long she's been inside the cult. Most ambots start to think about quitting in 6 months when they're not making money. 95% quit (Amway's figures) within 2 years of signing up.

      Delete
    3. Wait a minute. Osu? Did you get married? Aren't you the same guy who was here a year ago with a girlfriend ambot? In which case you married into the Amway cult knowing you'd have a rough ride ahead of you. And shouldn't she be about quitting now due to no Amway income? Those bazillions of dollars in residual income from Amway should be rolling in every month at the 2 year mark, and she should be about 2 years in now if memory serves correctly.

We had a post up a few weeks ago featuring someone selling her homemade items on Etsy and earning around $60,000/month. If your wife is an artist you'd think she could switch over to sell her wares on Etsy. Even if she only makes one sale a month she'd still be making more money than she would in Amway.

  32. Amway Diamonds made only $150,000 a year in 2013? We were told in the mid eighties they earned $100,000. In fact fact, I think they probably earned no more than $30,000 then. The rest they got from selling business tools (supposedly at cost; that is certainly what they told us). I remember looking at the tapes, which cost $5-6. "This cheap thing wouldn’t be worth more than $1, probably less if bought in bulk," I told myself. "It must cost them a FORTUNE to have them recorded and copied." But of course it didn't. Some mug downline from the Diamond distributor is expected to do the work free. Then there were the books, all of which were priced at what they'd cost in a bookshop. But our Diamond distributors, because they bought in bulk, would have been given the same discount as a bookshop. That's 40%. A nice profit when you don't have bookshop overheads to meet. My complaint where Amway is concerned is that they turned a blind eye to what is, in essence, downright stealing, making them "accessories after the fact” as a court of law would call it. It’s really sad that a manufacturer of good products is quite happy to see its reputation get flushed down the sewer.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think in Merchants of Deception, or maybe just by general knowledge, those tapes cost 50 cents to produce so there's lot of money to be made by selling them for $5+ to ambots. Bootlegging tapes.

Amway does piss all when you complain to them about the upline or the various cult sects. Their solution? Talk it over with this person. Uh you dumb Amway fuck you want me to talk it over with the person I've just phoned you to complain about it. Yeah that'll get me somewhere. Turn a blind eye, whatever, Amway does not sell good products and doesn't have a good reputation so seeing its reputation constantly flushed down the toilet is something head office is well accustomed to. And yeah most of the bad reputation is because of the antics of their commissioned saleforce and the various cult sects Amway allows to operate.

The point of this blog is to show that Amway is NOT a solution, it's a money-losing cult that MAKES problems for people, not solve them. With a 99% failure rate no one who isn't brainwashed and have looked into the math of this "opportunity" could possibly call it a solution to anything other than further enriching a tiny portion of folks at the top of the pyramid.

But Anonymous can go right on "faking it til he makes it" and thinking "everything is awesome" as month after month goes by and he slips deeper and deeper into debt while his upline lovebombs/abuses him and tells him "you can't quit now, not when success is just around the corner. I can feel it!"

      Delete
    2. Anonymous - 95% of people are seeking solutions to what? Ambot genocide? The only 95% I know of in Amway is that 95% of IBO's quit within 2 years. The other 5% will be broke losers forever except for a tiny percentage who are the best liars and the best scammers and have no morals and conscience and they will make some money at Scamway. This blog doesn't have many comments? So says you on a post with over 100 comments. There are over 10,000 comments left on this blog over the years. Sorry it doesn't meet your high standards.

    3. 2nd Anonymous - yeah what the fuck was that gibberish? The latest bullshit Amway Amspeak propaganda.

Yup one of the biggest lies Amway Ambots spout is how everything is awesome. I fail to see how financial and emotional distress is awesome but then I don't meet this ambot's high standards.

    1. Hi Anonymous. How do you know when someone in Amway is lying? Their mouth is moving. Hope that answers your question.

Also, think of it this way, who wants to make money off you? There is no charge to read this blog, leave a comment, there's nothing for sale here, and the bananas don't get money for participating here.

People in Amway want to make money off you. You do all the work, make a few pennies commission on a sale, and everyone in your upline also makes commission off your hard work. It will cost you at least $500/month to be in Amway, bet no one told you that? They don't disclose all the hidden costs to you. You have to buy 100PV in products every month (call it around $300). You have to buy monthly membership to what ever cult sect you're part of like WWDB call it $50. Also buy monthly for your "personal assistant" LOL Communikate, around $35 or $40. You have to buy books, CD, tickets to Amway meetings. This all adds up. And what will you get it you do all these things? Commission from Amway of about $10/month.

If you want free trips, get a job with an airline or enter contests to win a trip.

Like I said, I don't make any money off you whatever you do so its no skin off my ass if you want to sign up with Amway and go through financial and emotional distress. We just want to help people not go through the hell we went through. Because all those expenses I listed above, if you screw up and don't buy them the assholes in the Amway upline will give you a shit kicking and mock you at Amway meetings. If that's the kind of abuse you crave, can't help you.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

      Delete
    2. Free trips? Someone is yanking your chain. I've seen stories where they'll say "come to the seminar.. I'll help you with hotel and food costs" but once you are there they "forget" that they ever said anything of the sort.

Amway is all about lying and deception. It's the only way to try to hold together a downline that is losing money month after month.

  38. Anna,

Thank-you, this column is wicked. Amway altered my pre-teen years, and straight-up destroyed my parents marriage back in the early 1990's (my dad was in Amway & my mom refused to be a part of it) I was 10-15yrs old when I bore witness to the fucking Amway lifestyle.

I'm 35 now, and I look back and see all the ways Amway brainwashed my dad. I hate Amway so much, and my poor mom had to fight against so much of Amway's bullshit lifestyles. I look back and think my mom was a genius for resisting Amway the way she did...she never gave in!!!

I just want you to know that reading this piece was therapeutic for me, as I recently began to look back and wonder just what the fuck Amway did to my family...and what SCAMway is really about.

    Thanks again :)

    1. Hi Markee. Thanks for stopping by with your story. I've had many children of Amway Ambots leave comments here about how Amway destroyed their family. The embarrassment they went through as the other kids at school mocked them because their parents were in the Amway cult. Not being able to go to other kids birthday parties because their parents "counselled with upline" about buying the birthday kid a present and were told no, use that money to buy more shitty overpriced Amway products instead. Your mother sounds exactly like me and so many other women who are married to ambots. Its a constant battle trying to keep the money in our bank account instead of throwing it away at the Great Amway God. Battling with the fucking assholes in the Amway upline who have brainwashed our husbands into misplaced love and worship at the Amway upline instead of at our families. The Amway cult takes nice family men and turns them into sneering, evil Amway demons.

And even though the main reason for this blog is to make fun of people in Amway and curse out the assholes in our Amway upline, its therapeutic. It helps others know they're not going through the Amway hell hole alone. That they're not alone in the way they're feeling because Amway destroyed their family. Nothing brings those Amway bastards more happiness than destroying other people's lives and bringing financial and emotional distress to others. Sick, evil Amway demons!

  39. Hello Anna, I read this entire page and all its comments and I'd like to share my story. I've been recently talked to by my friend about this "be your own boss" type of thing. It started as us having a coffee and discussing our life goals and dreams, then he lend me a copy of "business of 21st century" by Robert kiyosaki and asked me to read it, and so I did, front to back. I asked him a few questions about his new gig but he wouldn't tell me the entire picture. He claimed he's not valid to disclose the information, he however gave me the name of his "mentor" and a bottle of perfect water. I googled both and found Amway and that led me to here. So far, from what I've read the stories here are pretty fucked up. I however agreed to meet his guy or I guess what you would call his upline, according to this blog. In 2 hours I'm gonna hear his side of this Amway story and what is this business opportunity is all about. I already feel like I'm walking into a trap. It is my fault for being too curious, I should have known that this "get rich " in a few years is too good to be true. I will back out of this deal most likely. How am I gonna convince my friend that Amway is evil? He got signed last month and I consider this person as 1 of my best friends that I truly care about. I don't want him to get suckered into this, he sounds so passionate about it too.

PS. Do you play Final Fantasy 14? I ask because I've seen your name before in game.

    1. Hi Anonymous. I hope you come back and tell us how it went. I wasn't even there and I can give a play by play because nothing ever changes in Scamway.

First off you got sucked in by someone you trust and hope wouldn't steer you wrong or get you involved in something bad.

Amway the Cult of Greed where the Great Amway God is worshipped and nothing is more important than the almighty dollar. Once Ambots are brainwashed they don't care about their friends or family anymore except for how much money then can make off them.

So your friend said to you - I know a really sharp businessman who has some great ideas. I can’t promise you anything but how would you like to meet him for coffee?

You get there and the bozo introduces himself as a Platinum whether or not he is. But he is a charismatic guy who is very convincing isn't he.

Just think about it for a second. If this guy you met worked in timeshare sales he'd be doing really good wouldn't he!

He probably spoke to you about how people who have jobs are stupid. They're losers who are going to be dead or broke by the time they're 65. It's stupid to work a job and make your boss rich. And wouldn't you like to be your own boss and blah blah blah.

Stuff that would make sense if it was a legitimate business opportunity and not that you're paying a company big bucks to be a lowly paid commissioned salesperson.

Then the Ambot pulled out a napkin and drew circles on it and said you find 6 people and they find 6 people and so on and then you'll all be rich.

That book you read, without commenting on its contents is a huge seller for Amway. The only way to make money in Amway is selling tools like that book. Or tickets to hear a cult leader speak. Do you want to take business advice from someone whose business went bankrupt? Likewise some of the Amway leaders have gone bankrupt and houses into foreclosure. You might be interested in hearing their stories how not to let this happen in your life but when they avoid talking about it even though its public knowledge then its shady. Like everything else in Amway.

Anyway the guy your friend got you in front of is one of Amway's best closers and like I said if he was working commissioned sales in another business he'd be making good money.

On the right side of this page you'll see under more information about Amway a link to a free ebook called Merchants of Deception. Read it and try to get your ambot friend to read it too though he'll come up with all kinds of excuses. This former Emerald had 1000 people in his downline and at best made $3,000/month. That's the reality. Not what those hyped up ambots pretend the income is gazillions of dollars rolling in every month. How likely is it you can find 1000 people to keep motivated to buy $300 worth of Amway products every month so you can earn commission? That books a real eye opener and a scary look into the Amway cult.

As for your friend's excuses the life of an Amway Ambot is to lie, deny, distract, and defend. You'll never hear more excuses or see more finger pointing anywhere in your life as you will in Amway. And think about it. People write blogs and books so others can read them for free to learn about our experiences and know to stay away from Amway because all it brings is financial and emotional distress. We're not making money. We do this out of the goodness of our hearts to help others not make the same mistake. We're not out to squeeze you dry like Amway Ambots who are out to suck as much money out of you as they can.

Good luck to you with all this.

    2. Hello, it's me again, back from the meeting. You're basically on point with what you've said. The meeting was held in his garage, white board in the front, markers and circles, 6 people etc etc. He even handed me a free xs energy drink. He would make a good salesman like you said, and he didn't even went to college! According to him the recruitment takes 7 steps and he'd like to meet me again tomorrow to complete another step. How do I politely decline and cancel on him and my friend?

      Delete
    3. Hi Anonymous.

Guess they couldn't afford a coffee at McDonalds! That's what the life of an Amway Ambot is all about, never having any cash on you. Yup the garage makes me suspicious he lives with mommy and daddy and they don't want his Amway shit in their house. The living room would have been more likely a choice to show someone a business plan not a garage. That's the place Ambots use to stash all the overpriced Amway shit they're stockpiling. Yup to the whiteboard and drawing circles on it. Everything looks good on paper doesn't it but the reality of putting the Amway plan into action is pretty much impossible. Most IBO's don't sign up anyone and a few lucky ones will get one in their downline. I'm surprised they gave you a "free" drink. Nothing's for free. You had to listen to their bullshit propaganda. Those XS come in a case depending on the flavor costs $30 or $40, so close to $5 a can. Rip off! Some of the Amway cult leaders are invested in this company.

I forgot to warn they'll ask about your dreams. You never tell an Amway Ambot your dreams because they'll use it as a weapon against you at a later date like when you're planning to quit. People in Amway are prudes The correct answer when asked about your dream is to say its to produce gay porno movies.

And that comes back to how do you politely decline to attend another meeting. When it comes to people in Amway you can't be polite. They're relentless. I'm sure they've been texting you frequently since you said good bye with all kinds of Amway slogans about how they're fired up after meeting you and they can tell you're a sharp guy and you're going to go really big in this business, etc. You can't be polite because Ambots won't back off. They're prudes so if you curse them out they'll stay away from you. Hence all the swearing in this blog! LOL! Keeps Ambots away! You can be like the majority of prospects and say you'll be there and just be a no show. Or you can tell them you're getting together with some people who are producing gay porno movies and looking for investors and ask them if they'd like to join you and invest too. In Amway their teachings are all about what they consider to be traditional families and relationships so you'll freak them out by saying you're investing in gay porno flicks. Might be tough to keep a straight face around your friend, but trust me on this, they'll leave you alone after you share that's your dream you're following!

      Good luck!

    1. Anonymous - you'd think after all these decades those Ambots could come up with more original lines! LOL! His team would be the first out there in Amway history that helped some achieve their dreams! LOL! There's an article written by a psychologist that we sometimes reference a link to and he got conned into an Amway meeting and he said people's dreams are usually nothing out of the ordinary - they want to buy a house, go on a nice vacation, etc. Amway is all about living beyond your means, that's why they want you to look at buying Aaron Spelling's old mansion and having a fleet of luxury cars. I'm glad we helped you from making a big mistake and even if you can't help your friend escape (give him a few months when he runs out of money) at least it sounds like he's young enough to recover financially. Good luck with your future!

This blog is all about transposing how people in Amway treat the rest of the world and sling it back at them. If you see hate then that is what Amway projects. If hate bothers you that much then stay away from Amway the biggest hate mongers out there.

    5. Amway Christians.... Now there's a topic for the day. While many people have come to know jesus Christ through their association with Amway, the elites are another kettle of fish. They will twist scripture and take it out of context to suit their agenda.
There is a word for what they do in the outside world. we call it "the prosperity Gospel" and that is apart from an insult to Christ, an outright misrepresentation . I have yet to see a passage in the Bible which talks about how Jesus wants to bless you with material possessions beyond your wildest dreams if only you have enough faith. In fact. he tells us that we are to expect trials and suffering along the way. The rain falls down on both the sinners and the saints....
I started off by saying that many have come to faith from their time in AMWAY... I'll bet twice as many are questioning their faith after being involved with some of the unsavory elements in the Sales organizations.

      Delete
    6. Anonymous - Amway is like all other cults who twist religion to suit their purposes. I have the biggest Amway losers showing up here to bitch about this blog all the while proclaiming they're Christians. The comment above yours is very typical of an Amway Christian. That's why most people don't want anything to do with Amway.

      Delete
    7. The "prosperity Gospel" is a truly sick idea, and completely alien to genuine Christianity. Christ says "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven." I'd like to hear what the Diamonds have to say about that at one of those stupid, greed-driven WWDB functions.

      Delete
    8. LAst time I checked, Christians do not go around calling those who In their better judgment , turn down a business opportunity , "losers" and "Negative"....
That is what cults do. They cherry pick scripture, an make it say the exact opposite of what it does when presented in context.
They used to have us hold "phone teams" and we would call people down our list and gove them "the pitch"... Depending on the result the person would be a "hit" if they agreed to see the plan, a "miss" if there was no answer and a "flush" if they had the temerity to refuse the opportunity of a lifetime.
These people we were calling were friends, family and acquaintances, and if they didn't buy in, we were to "flush" them?

      Delete
    9. Anonymous - I'd like to hear what a Diamond has to say about that too but we probably never won't! In the news a couple of weeks ago it was saying that children who are brought up in religious households or maybe it was Christian households I don't remember which one are greedier than children brought up in unreligious households. So maybe that accounts for a lot of Ambots who sign up with Amway the Cult of Greed. They were brought up in some kind of religious households so they're already greedy.

      Delete
    10. Anonymous - that's true. Bad evil people like those in Amway the Cult of Greed go around treating people badly and then justify themselves as being Christians. Sick!

    11. I once heard a completely brainwashed over the top Ambot claim "If Jesus were here today, he'd be selling Amway!" I almost busted a gut laughing. I said "well, he does have 12 people already set up for his downline". The nut nodded, not realizing I was mocking.

I've always marveled at how these evangelical "Christians" claim to follow the word of Christ, and yet everything they do is the opposite of those teachings. They are greedy, wealth-based and sneer at the poor instead of helping them (though ironically Ambots tend to be poor themselves unless they have a great real J.O.B. to support their Amway hobby) and if Jesus were around today they would actually scorn him as being a long-haired hippie, pacifist, socialist, bleeding-heart liberal who should go buy a suit and use his influence to scam people out of their money.

  43. I don't know if you've ever heard of world wide dream builders. We are a training system on how to build the amway business to a truly significant level. From conversations with my emerald and diamonds. I can conclude that you either are lying, or you simply built a poor organization. We have 54 diamonds and up in north America and thousands globally. You must have only had 6 legs that went platinum, which obviously made you a diamond. But if that's what you coasted on them holy balls, i understand your anger. My emerald makes twice what you made as a diamond. My diamond makes 1.3 million, and my crown makes 12 million. I know these are true, because they show us their checks. We don't just ride on hope. We actually see progress. By the way 'anonymous from Nov 11' no money i spend goes to my upline. The same way that none of the money my down line spend goes to me. I don't know what made you guys so bitter, But it really seems like you have no idea what you're talking about. See, i don't love amway. I love my freedom to spend with my family. For me, it's the math that doesn't add up. The Amway products are horribly overpriced, so sales to the general public are minimal at best. So most of the sales an "IBO" would have would be to their own downline, as you bully them to meet their PV, though all they end up doing is filling closets and garages with the stuff since they don't have any buyers and can only use so much of the crap a month in self-consuming. So you may tout them as "investing" in their business, but with a real investment there has to be an eventual return. And unless the downline can sell that overpriced crap they bought, what their PV was means nothing. They are in negative numbers that month. A $10 bonus check means nothing if they paid out several hundred to get it. And that's the Amway "trick" at meetings... praising a downline for what they bought without noting whether or not they made a profit or not by selling it to a buyer. A business sells to someone else. A customer buys the Amway products for themselves, no matter what their pseudo business card says. Success is NOT just around the corner if there are no outside buyers for the products. But at the ASCO meetings the downline are praised and lovebombed for simply buying more that month, even if they just shoved the crap in a closet.

And if recruitment is the goal and not selling the products to the general public, then Amway is merely a pyramid scheme and with all pyramids only the 1% at the top make money, at the expense of the 99% where they get it from. And with Amway even admitting that 99% of people who get into it don't make money that pretty much confirms the whole pyramid structure.

You can make up all the stuff you want, but you can't deny the faultiness of the MATH of Amway, no matter how many unrealistic circles you draw.

    3. Anonymous - that's what Amway is all about. Drawing circles and writing down $$ amounts of how much money the ambot makes if he eats one Amway food bar and drinks one Amway drink daily and finds 2 others to do it and if they find 2 others to do what they do and so on and so on. And if the ambot finds 6 people and they find 6 people and so on then they're all going to be RICH.

Looks good on paper but putting the Amway bored plan into action is another story because its real hard to find one person to sign up for Scamway let alone 2 or 6 or 100.

It's all about confusing the ambot with the numbers. But eventually when the ambot only sees $10 coming in from his commissioned sales from Amway every month after spending hundreds of dollars then they ask the assholes in the Amway upline because the numbers don't add up. Then they get punished and told never question upline.

Then you get dumb fucks like white afro ambot who does a search online to find out how much money Diamonds make and lands on this post. Ambot should know the answer. If he listens to the Amway cult leaders at every meeting the Diamond makes bazillions of dollars in residual income every month or if he reads the small print in the Amway literature they say Diamond makes about 150k.

But disobedient Amway Ambots refuse to believe this information from what they would call a trusted source LOL LOL LOL and search online to find other answers. The first sentence of this post says the same thing as the small print of the Amway literature,150k. Any post with over 100 comments is going to be high on the search engines. The dumb fuck ambots don't like the answer they get from the assholes in their Amway upline or the small print on Amway literature and don't like my answer either that Amway Diamonds are broke so they leave a comment bitching about stupid things.

When the real stupid thing is staring them back in a mirror. As you pointed out, if the Ambot can't figure out the math no matter how many circles are drawn, all they can do is make stuff up and spread their lies everywhere they can think of.

  44. Yes, we all know WWDB.

You get rich by selling CDs, books, and other tools to naive Amway IBOs. A nice racket, isn't it?

Any white guy with an Afro must really be weird.

And didn't afros for white guys go out of style sometime during the 80's! LOL! I'm surprised some assholes in his Amway upline hasn't already counselled with him about the hairstyle choice because that's all those Amway bastards do in night owls is bitch at the ambots about what they drive, what they wear, and their hair style.

  45. Jumping in kind of late here, but I am a recovering Ambot. Got in in '94, and out in '96. The company itself is not the major problem, it is the sales organizations. Yes, a Diamond who follows the instructions, which includes having 10 RETAIL customers every month and builds that ethic into their downline could make $150 K per year. Not bad money, but the sales organizations sell a mammoth sized lie. first there are taxes, and the expenses of running such a business, so that $150 K gets whittled down to 100 PDQ.
However, most people in the organizations do NOT bother with the 10n retail customer rule. In fact most uplines will say. Forget that. That's from the old days. Show the plan.....show the plan , show the plan.
And they will rip you off with the books, tapes and functions. That is where the real money is, and it only goes to a fdew select "A-list " diamonds. These are the guys with the lavish lifestyles that few will ever achieve. Kind of like the Masons. You need to be asked to join the elite, and you are sworn to secrecy. So most people male nothing, and actually lose money because they are not taught to retail to 10 customers a month ( ewwwww.) so now product is actually moving and no real income is generated You get no PV for signing someone up and selling them a startup kit. But you are expected to dump a poopload of money into motivational tools (books and tapes) and atten some very expensive functions. Of course, it is "strictly voluntary" but it is understood that your uplines won't give you the time of day if you don't. And that is how the elite make the money. Amway makes their money on selling startup kits and personal use of products by distributors.
One reasn why the products are so expensive, is because there was a confrontation between the Devos/van Andels and the bigwig distributirs making money off the tools, and the latter threatened to leave and take their organizations with them, so the company had to accept that, and they had to raise their prices to offset it.
Until the motivational tool scam is dealt with, Amway will not live up to its promise.

    1. Hi Anonymous - its never too late to join in. This is the 2nd most popular post on this blog for views and comments. It makes Amway Ambots very angry that its so high on the search engines when they're probably looking to find out how much an Amway Diamond makes. Not quite what the ambots had in mind when they show up here thus the many angry comments they leave behind. Amway Ambots love to say negative no matter how much they preach about never saying negative. That rule of course only applies to Ambots. Around here we love to say negative and piss off everyone in Amway.

Not to mention this is the post where the infamous executive Diamond Theo showed up bragging about his riches that was so priceless he earned himself his own post.

You're right. No one every enforced the 10 customer rule in order to get a commission from Amway. Otherwise no one would be making money because nobody who's not an Ambot wants to buy Amway product. Making $10 commission after buying hundreds of dollars in overpriced shitty Amway products and investing in the Amway tool scam is not "making money". Its being ripped off by the scam.

Yeah I remember the Amway cult leaders preaching over and over to show the plan. That's one of the 10 CORE bullshit that is always mentioned at Scamway meetings. It's one thing to say show the plan and its another thing to actually find a sucker willing to take a look at it.

That's interesting why Amway's owners jacked up their prices. We always knew it had to do with everyone in the upline getting a piece of greed pie after the lowly Ambot at the bottom of the pyramid did a lot of work to make a sale. The thing is Ambots are leaving Amway and taking their downline with them. Our sack of shit Platinum got fired from Amway a few years ago and took most of the downline with him. Same bullshit, different company. These MLM scams are all the same.

Amway's got no motivation to get rid of the tool scam. They flog overpriced shitty products to Ambots who are bullied by the upline to keep buying. Only 3 or 4% of Amway's customers are not registered IBO's. As long as they have a steady stream of suckers paying too much money for generic and substandard Amway products they've got no reason to make changes.

    2. Absolutely correct! When your Amway up-line tells you that you don't have to bother making actual sales to retail customers, alarm bells should go off immediately in your brain!

Those alarm bells should tell you: "This company isn't concerned with product quality, or even with product movement. It is only concerned with getting me to sign up, and pay for CDs and books and functions for the rest of my life."

It's quite true: De Vos and Andel tried to rein in the criminal bigshots like Britt and Yager and Duncan and Puryear, all of whom were making a fortune on nothing but signing up new IBOs and browbeating them into buying $300 worth of Amway products every month, without even asking those IBOs to sell those products to the public. Add to that the demand that IBOs buy all the damn "tools," and those bigshots made a fortune.

They told De Vos and Van Andel to go to hell. They were going to continue, and if Amway didn't like it Amway could fuck off. De Vos and Van Andel collapsed like a cheap camera, and so the "Tools Scam" continues unabated right now.

Let this be carved in granite: DON'T EVER SIGN UP IN AMWAY. It is a complete fraud.

    3. Anonymous - Yes! Amway is a complete fraud!

Its kind of like who blinks first. The Amway cult leaders should just tell VanAndel and DeVos to fuck off and then they should move on to another MLM scam where they can flog their tools. And that would mean an even bigger loss than a billion next year for Amway. LOL! Due to Amway's losses every year they don't want to upset the cart too much. When our sack of shit Platinum talked his downline into moving over to Monavie I estimate that was a loss of around $25,000/month to Amway. Peanuts in the greater scheme of things but I guess they all start to add up after awhile into income losses for the kingpins.

    4. MLM I general is a malignant metastatic cancer on peoples' lives. I have known many people who spend their lives pursuing "the dream" . They try one company, an when that doesn't work, it's on to the next. PT Barnum said "There's a sucker born every minute", and he would have been equally correct to say "There's a lying sack of $-it born every bminute" The two form an axis that revolves around defiance of natural law, that goes on forever.

    5. Anonymous - I think people who are desparate to own their own business but don't have a clue how to get started are open to MLM scams. And if the first one doesn't work then there's always another one to try. Suckers. Or as you put it there's a lying sack of shit born every minute. Love it!

And if I were you I wouldn't go around mentioning you know Amway losers because people are going to think you're a fucking Amway loser too.

    2. There are plenty of inexpensive Rolls Royces on eBay for under $20k

    3. Anybody can drive around in a Rolls Royce, kid. You could lease it, rent it, borrow it, or whatever. Ask your dad's friend to show you the ownership papers and his registration.

If he's in Amway, he'll probably give you a lot of double-talk, and then pretend he didn't hear your questions.

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!

If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
