Amway WWDB Free Enterprise Days 2013

Worldwide Dream Builders and Amway are holding FED Free Enterprise Days in September and October 2013. The locations are:

September 27 – 29, 2013 in Irvine, California at the Bren Events Center

October 4 – 6, 2013 in Denver, Colorado at the Crowne Plaza DIA (what does DIA stand for? Dumb Idiot Ambots????)

October 11 – 13, 2013 in Portland, Oregon at the Portland Memorial Coliseum.

Sucks if you’re an Amway ambot who lives in the south or the east because that’s gonna cost some big bucks in transportation to get to any of these locations. Then there’s the “serious business builder” ambots who probably bust ass to get to all 3 FED brainwashing events cause they are gluttons for listening to the same old bullshit over and over.

Tickets cost $125. And that’s the cheap part. Add on transporation, meals, hotels, etc and depending on where you live that can cost a few hundred bucks to over $1000.

Come on people! You can’t figure out a better place that’s more fun to spend $1000 bucks at for a weekend?
And what’s going to be happening at WWDB Amway Free Enterprise Days 2013? The same old mumbo jumbo bullshit. Freedom! Flush that stinking job! The Diamonds are sharing how they built the business. Yeah right. They all got the same story. She was working as a waitress and he was pumping gas (each Diamond will tell the story slightly differently using minimum paid jobs as examples) and they were broke and in debt with bills they couldn’t pay when a dear friend showed them the Amway business plan. They had to borrow $20 gas money (why do they always borrow $20? must live within 15 miles of the arena) and now here they are filthy rich thanks to Amway and check out the slide show with the mansion, sports cars, exotic vacations and all the other material possession that the cult of greed has tossed their way. And you can have it all too as long as you buy the tools!

Here’s some of the Diamonds who will be showing up to fight over the proceeds of the ticket sales:

Howie and Theresa Danzik
Leslie Wolgamott
Tracey and Kimberley Eaton
Terry and Linda Felber
Scott and Cris Harimoto
Jim and Judy Head
Norm and Pam Kizirian
Dave Severn
Matt and Sandee Tsuruda
Rick Green
Greg Duncan
Brad Duncan
Ron Puryear
Mike Carroll

So lets get some key words out there for the ambots looking for more information on Amway WWDB Free Enterprise Days 2013 because the assholes in their upline don’t tell them piss all except that it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, a not to be missed event blah blah blah. Lets not forget the ambots who think they can turn back time and are searching for Amway WWDB World Wide Dream Builders Free Enterprise Days FED 2012 and Amway WWDB World Wide Dream Builders Free Enterprise Days FED 2011 believe it or not ambots are so screwed up and brainwashed they have no idea what year it is and think it could also be Amway WWDB World Wide Dream Builders Free Enterprise Days FED 2014.

World Wide Dream Builders sucks!

Free Enterprise Days sucks!

All Amway functions suck!

  1. Don't forget to preorder the CD of the event you have just attended with CDs of the two others. You never know when that golden nugget of knowledge, that will send you platinum, will be said! You might have missed it at this conference!
Also available on CD, all of this years conferences in a package set, don't miss out on that key knowledge! (Includes special bonus CD: your upline diamond singing in the shower!)
All of this can be yours for $21! (we only accept $20 bills, no change will be provided)

    1. I hated those CDs. Why do we need to pay money to listen to bullshit we already heard. It's only worse the next time around with the volume cranked.

How about when the upline tells you you can't leave the room to go to the can because for sure that will be when you miss that one golden nugget of information out of 20 hours plus of boring bullshit they gotta choose that one time when you're out of the room to share that one piece of integral information that you need to grow your Amway business.

    2. That's easy... just walk up onto the stage and piss on them then. It's only returning the favor.

    3. Ha ha. As funny as that is most of these venues have non-ambot staff working there and it might not go over so good. Best case scenario they escort you out of the brainwashing arena.

    4. Not sure what experiences you guys have but usually a bad experience is caused by unprofessional uplines treating the business like a hobby. I've grown quite a bit from being involved and am moving forwards quite a lot faster than staying at a job, not to mention 4 of my 6 direct upline coaches have walked away from their jobs and Whalens are new diamonds with another couple breaking this year. And the multiple emeralds about to break in the next 2 years. Just cause you guys aren't dedicated to build something for yourself doesn't mean to go bashing something on a blog, like good job.... you're the wall in a toilet stall with writings of some guys failures.

  2. I could never understand how people could go to more then 1 FED they don't tell you jackshit about business just a bunch of blah blah rah rah. I was only in the cult for 3 months and could smell the BS as soon as i signed up. No one could ever explain why if the cd's are so important why they don't just copy them or "rip" it to an audio file to give out. OH no i had to buy them but i refused that was about the time i said FU to my up line.
great blog Anna keep up the good fight

    1. Anonymous - very true that recordings can be ripped and downloaded for free. But seeing as how that's how the cult leaders at the top of the Amway pyramid make most of their money selling those things that's why they'll always cost $$$$ for those who want to hear the same old bullshit that tells you nothing you haven't heard before at a previous cult meeting. Good on you for telling your upline to fuck off.

    2. i was told every time i didnt show up to these rip off events i would be adding an additional 3 years to get to my 'dreams and goals'

    3. Rbot - we heard it in reverse. By going to the Scamway function that put you a year ahead of the ambots who didn't go. Yeah a year ahead in financial distress.

  3. It is a classic brainwashing technique, sleep depravation, Isolation, and total immersion. BTW ever notice that the people who are sponsoring you always want to drive you to the event?? that is so you cant leave.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yup total brainwashing techniques used by Amway cult leaders. They might want to drive me but I sure don't want to be in a car with them. Partly cause I have my doubts if that shitmobile is going to reach the destination but mostly because I don't want to list to those fuckers yap about how much they love Amway and their great Amway gods.

      Delete
    2. Whenever a meeting's held in a public place, your potential sponsors are always by the door, so that they can confront you as you're leaving and try to further brainwash you into signing up. In either public or private venue, they walk with to either try to talk more about the "business", or to keep you from talking with the other newbies. And yeah, I do suspect they are taught NOT to let the newcomers join together, especially alone, as to be able to express individual thought and common sense.

I've always secretly hoped that as I was leaving a meeting, an Amway goon would try to stop me. Then I'd have a legal reason to sock it to these jerks.

      Delete
    3. Yup those bastards are always standing there by the exit. Didn't stop me from leaving. Asked me how I was enjoying it and were shocked to hear this is the same boring shit we heard the last time. How many times can they listen to the same old bullshit like they're not already brainwashed enough to have it all memorized.

  5. I used to stay in the ladies room as long as possible. Then I'd come out, and get in the back of the line again. My group used to always ask, 'What took so long?'

Honestly, I was so exhausted, I knew if I sat down with them, I'd keel over.

As soon as the function started, I immediately caluculated how many more hours till it was over. I hated those things but made myself fly all over the country to attend to be a good stepford ambot.

    1. When they asked you what took so long you should have just said it took a long time coming out. Got a problem with that? Ha ha! Flying all over the country. I'm betting there's a few ambots going to be doing that in a few weeks. Gotta make all those FEDs so the cult leaders can praise them at the next meeting. What a good little ambot. The stepford ambots are coming!

  8. I just went to a large gaming convention. My expenses were only about $500. That's because I didn't make any large purchases, and didn't fly. I couldn't get enough of it. The main bad thing bad about it was too many things you'd like to do, so you end up getting to bed late, having to get up early the next morning to attend a time sensitive event, sleeping only 4 to 6 hours. A lot of things costed event tickets, and there were some tempting purchases.

I went to a 2 hour amway meeting at a hotel, and at a private residence (or was it one hour? 1.5 hours? I don't know...they always last too long) and was BORED OUT OF MY SKULL. Then you leave feeling pissed that you wasted so much time and had to dress up in business formal as if it were some sick joke. For me, it could've been worse had I not passed a good deal of that time playing games on my phone, but if I went to one of these big Amway conventions, I tell you, there was a good chance I would've became one of those homicidal maniacs you hear on CNN every now and then.

    1. Amway meetings are boring to everyone who is not a brainwashed ambot. And yeah they're a time waster but that's part of the cults methods to keep the followers tied up loving them so they can't spend time doing normal things with family and friends. Only ambots want to play Ken and Barbie dress up.

Yup. Exactly what I noticed, too. No new diamonds, save for Green.

They are getting old. I can't believe it's the same line-up. At first I thought Anna was just listing whoever she could think of.

  10. To Anonymous 1, yes, that is how brainwashing works. My boyfriend is never able to sleep due to night hours, and at these events they starve him. I'm surprised his blood hasn't turned into pure XS ( cat piss juice ). He's running out of options on his "c" list and now he's actually considering finding prospects in malls and gyms. He's become a parrot of his evil upline. He even picked up his mannerisms, the way he speaks is almost unrecoginizable. When prospects reject him or blow him off he's even insulted them out of anger. he denies that he's stressed but what else could it be?!?? It reminded me of your angry ambot post Anna. They ARE the most angriest people in the world.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Scamfighter - the ambots are all sitting there drinking XS and eating Amway food bars and popping Amway vitamins to stay awake. I used to head over to the closest fast food joint and it would be full of suits. Ambot suits. Obviously I wasn't the only one who wanted to get the hell out of there.

Yup they all parrot their upline so it makes you want to puke. Yeah I should bring that angry Ambot post up again. They are so angry because they're losing money and being abused by the assholes in their Amway upline they turn into ugly evil ambots from hell.

Can't you get him to read Merchants of Deception? Here's a guy who has 1000 people in his downline and is only making around $3000/month. Other former emeralds have talked on the Internet how they only made $2-3000. The money's not there unless they are selling tickets at events like FED and selling books and CD's. Surely your boyfriend can find something more profitable to sell if he wants to be self employed. How about cookies? Or bird houses.

    2. Ah yes, the 'vitamins'. Rhodiola is all the rage in IBO-dreamland. They claim it gives you energy. Go and have a look at what scientists have show it really does.

Ohh the irony... So they're buying and consuming Amway products. Let's pretend that they're actually good for you (cost, health-wise, sanity). Then they're eating out at fast food joints? they're too broke to afford better so they eat at fast food. They eat at fast food and need to buy the Amway stuff.

Such a lovely, vicious cycle. :\

You should do a post about "a lists", "b lists", and "c lists". I read some posts about that, but seems fascinating.

      Delete
    4. They probably can't afford to eat at fast food joints either. Maybe they pool their money and share the burger and fries 6 ways.

The abc lists I'm not familiar with. We only had one list but there were columns if you thought this was a prospect or a customer or someone just as likely to tell you to fuck off! Most people on the list fit into that last column!

      Delete
    5. If I remember correctly, A list is your close friends and family. B list is your extended family and old friends or distant friends (college buddies, your Facebook friends you haven't actually seen in person in a long time, work acquantances). C list is friends of friends, old coworkers, exes, and anyone else you don't really have contact with. Strangers are added to C list as you stalk them in Target.

  13. It's a case of '49er' fever. People rushed to California in 1849 b/c of a gold strike and they dreamed of striking it rich. A few did. Most, however, lost their shorts.

In the meantime, the ones who really got rich were the merchants selling pick axes, shovels, blankets, and pie (cd's, events, piss waster, etc.) to the hopeful miners (ambots.)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Anonymous - that's very true of San Francisco and other areas where there were gold rushes. The merchants who saw a need and filled it made money.

In mway who really needs CDs and overpriced products? Nobody. All they need is some good cult leaders to pressurize those below them to ante up the cash whether or not they need the Amway shit.

  14. So how many will turn up for one of these meetings

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It depends on the size of the venue and how many tickets they can flog to their followers. The Bren Center holds about 5000 and the others are probably around the same. Let's work in round numbers. Ticket sales come to $625,000. Many of these arenas don't cost much to rent because they plan to make income from parking and concession sales. You have to assume WWDB takes a chunk of that for organizing and because it's owned by some Diamonds. The ones showing up to speak are probably making $20,000 or so for the weekend and if they speak at all 3 FEDs that's a good income for telling the same old stories to their followers.

    1. Oh wow... Anonymous there sounds like the brainwashing has sunk in quite deep. The whole "doing something productive" crap they all spout.

The truth is, nothing is as UNPRODUCTIVE as dumping one's money into the bottomless pit that is Amway. With a less that 1% chance to make money being in a scam that empties IBO's bank accounts, runs up their debts and loses them family, friends and respect, I can't think of anything that's as negative as the false Amway "dream" scam.

      Delete
    2. hey Anonymous and part of being a productive IBO and being CORE now includes visiting websites like this and saying negative?

If my husband wants to hang out with positive people that eliminates people in Amway because they are the most negative bastards around.

Oh and you got to get the brainwashed Amspeak down a bit better. You forgot to call me an unchristian dream stealer.

      Delete
    3. Hey, Ambots are positive people, just selectively positive. They choose to be positive about you, until you say no, or say your are going to quit, or you are not going to go hear a rich couple tell you how to live your life, or you stop trying to be a clone of your upline, or you like your JOB, or you think the books you are reading are rubbish, or you are not Christian, or you date someone not interested in being an IBO, or you send your kids to college, or your spouse won't come to conference, or you want to spend your holidays (not just the big ones) with your family, or you buy someone a gift that isn't an Amway gift certificate (ribbon garbage), or... you get the point.

Please Anon, define 'productivity' in your business. Is it making money, like most business owners would claim? Or is it, 'investing in your future', 'becoming a better person' or 'helping others find financial freedom'?

The first one makes sense, but doesn't apply to Ambots. Doubt it? Walk into any successful business and ask it's owner to sign up. When they laugh at you and treat you like a child (Awe, aren't you cute, your selling vitamins), try another. And another.

The others are just EXCUSES for a failing IBO to keep their confidence above water just a little longer to milk that CD and conference money out of them a little longer.

On the other hand every time they leave a comment here thy bump up the ranks in search engines and make posts like this number one for ambots searching to find out anything they can about FED because the assholes in their upline won't tell them it's just more of the same old bullshit they've already heard before. 17. Okay, honestly here. I've got someone that wants me and my live-in boyfriend to go to FED in Portland. I was just looking for the venue to get an idea of where it was going to be. And the search for "Amway FED Portland 2013" did indeed bring up your blog, like it probably does whenever someone is trying to find information on Amway.

But I have to ask......what's with the Jekyll and Hyde act? Or is it something that you have to use medication to control? Or maybe an extended study of the human reaponse to a certain mindset on a particularly charged topic? Because having two blogs, one for each audience, with the same layout, and a different tone (but VERBATIM wording for each similiar posting), well, that would be one hell of a thesis for a study in psychology and sociology.

    1. Hi imperfectly unique. I love your name by the way even though I can't get it right.

Unless you have a better reason to visit Portland don't waste your time and money on an Amway convention.

Sounds like you're a student. Get involved with this cult and the leaders will convince you to drop out and get a head start on your career by running your own Amway business. The reality is the money you're using on school expenses could be put to better use by making the assholes in the Amway upline richer by buying Amway products and tools.

And yes we know about that blog. In Amway the cultists are taught to duplicate so they can ride the coattails of someone else's success. What can you do when they don't have a brain. Around here the comments are usually much better than the post!

Here's a better topic for your term paper - commercial cults like Amway. How do normal people get caught up being abused in these cults. Why do they allow these cults to destroy their finances and relationships. Why do grown people take orders from some bully Amway cult leader who demands full obedience and the cult followers must ask permission before doing anything. Really creepy and scary and probably give you an A on your term paper.

You finish school and take the career path you've chosen. Dont let some scumbag brainwash you into believing the only thing you can do with your life is Amway.

      Delete
    2. There are better ways to get involved with Amway. WWDB is not a cult at all. and you dont have to throw money away. Its kind of a flawless system, and NO they will no discourage you to finish school. I comleted my BA while in WWDB.

  18. Hi imperfectly UNIQUE. The annareplies blog site is a lame spoof. Some Ambot who ripped off and subverted the content from this site.
All the true stuff is here.
Amway and all stinkin' MLM sucks and I love how how Anna tells it like it is.
    Accept no imitations.

In all seriousness though if you decide to go to the meeting (and I hope for your sakes you don't) ask to see some proper figures and numbers as far as this "business" is concerned. There are other ways in which to start a business and other ways to make passive income than mlm.

People don't just lose money with mlm, they lose their sense of integrity and humanity. Read more of this blog and the comments and you will see stories of all the lives ruined and destroyed by it. I'd rather be poor than have anything to do with that.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Now, heres what gets me. I see more people losing their "sense of integrity and humanity" through the degredation of other people, the negative thought process that goes into making these arguments AGAINST Amway, the corporation, when its really the people that they have met that they're judging, rather than the corporation itself.

I'll admit, I've been introduced to Amway and around the business (at least on the edges) for about seven years. And that entire time, I've been skeptical. I'm still very skeptical. But, like a very select few people out there, I have this thing about rooting for the underdog, trying to understand why things/people/ideas are seen in such a negative life.

So thank you for your concern and advise to ask to see some real numbers. I'll be sure to keep that jotted down and definitely ask serious question. Oh, and as to the whole bullshit about the revenue coming from books and tapes? I've had two diamonds tell me to split the cost of CDs with three other IBOs, and burn copies. And the books? There are these AMAZING institutions called libraries that actually allow you to borrow books. FOR FREE, people!!

I buy the CDs and materials yhat i fell help my personal growth. I think some peiole get brainwashed but thats on them. I find ygr uplines positive and uplifting and i think with all the things people waste money on now adays, they could do a lot worst than quote unquote wasting it on functions

  20. I worked as an usher at the Portland FED event this past weekend. I have worked this event for the past several years, and find it an interesting study in human nature. I came to the conclusion this past weekend that it really is a cult. I understand the human desire to be successful and rich. It is nice to have the feeling that someone else can show you the way to these riches. However, when I heard several of the speakers say that if your family and friends try to talk you out of this endeavor, you need new family and friends (i.e. your Amway family). That is so definitely a cult tactic, it's terrifying. There were a lot of things said by these "diamonds" that were excruciating to me, especially saying anyone who has a "job" is living a life of mediocrity. They didn't use the term "loser," but it was most definitely implied. I work two part-time jobs and am the owner of two small businesses (working on a 3rd). I am very happy and fulfilled and love my jobs and businesses. Every day is a joy and I'm doing fine financially. Please don't call my life mediocre, and know that there is no way on earth I would want to live the Amway lifestyle. Good luck to those of you that do.

    1. Hi Anonymous. Thanks for stopping by. I watched the people who work for the arenas and felt so bad they got stuck doing a shift at a Scamway convention. I always wandered what they're really thinking when they're listening to this bullshit. I've had a couple of other employees stop by in the past saying they couldn't figure out how anyone gets anything out of all that drivel they heard and it was really obvious to them as outsiders that the real money to be made was in the sales of "motivational" products like CD's and books. I'm going to bring your comments up to a new post sometime soon because a lot of my readers are going to miss this because it's an older post. I'm glad you didn't get brainwashed and I hope your boss paid you triple time danger pay for putting up with these creeps!

  21. You simply do NOT understand Buisness/Amway in general & You're honestly just a hater. You have no proof whatsoever of all your angry raging posts. If you don't like Amway, don't come on the internet and post Rage-Filled comments about it. Maybe it's just not for you, that's fine, Amway is not for everyone. But I honestly don't know why you're calling this a cult or "ambot" it's just a way to make money like everything else in life. It's legal and I can prove it to you with facts. So just take your hate and target it at the Gym or hobby. Stop trying to ruin it for others.

    2. Let me guess, Anonymous Nov. 4th. You are in the 18-24 year old catagory. My gosh, can we please dispense with the 7th grade vocabulary, i.e., 'hater'? That's like still using the word 'rad,' or 'neato.'

It is painfully obvious you have never owned a business. I have owned my business for just over 30 years. We were in Amway for 6+ very long years. Worked it like you have never seen. Built a good-size downline. Never made a freaking dime. It all went right back into the biz. When I finally pulled the plug, I tossed huge boxes full of cassette tapes into 55 gallon trash cans. A beautiful sound.

We were/are friends with several now very successful people who were in Amway with us or were either in our upline or downline. Funn how they are doing just fine without amway. But I thought that wasn't possible.

BTW, you do not own ANYTHING in Amway. The only ones who own anything are the creators of Amway. You have nothing tangible to sell if you choose. Well, maybe you could sell your old CASSETTE TAPES or now-used books. What else could you sell? Let's see.....you don't have a franchise, no inventory - save for old Amway products (those won't even sell at a yardsale), not anything.

Before you go off on some Amway drivel you heard at the last function, remember this: we've heard it all before many, many times. We bought the tapes, remember? We attended the functions - too many to recall. We could quote those freaking things like there was no tomorrow. We, too, insulted anyone who wouldn't get in with us. I didn't recognize who we were anymore. We had changed much for the worse after our association with Amway.

Where was our Christian compassion? What became of our humility and gratitude? I hated what we had become.

It has taken me years to forgive myself. But, we understand where you are. You are very new to all of this and very protective of Amway. If you want to really get our attention, post your Schedule C's for the next 5 years (block out all personal info). Don't know what a Schedule C is? I thought so.

Just cause they're card carrying Amway assholes that makes them experts at everything and legitimate business owners are losers in their eyes because our business sucks compared to theirs. You'll never convince them that the only business owners are the family who've been operating Amway for the past 50 years and everyone else is an employee better known as a commissioned salesperson. Just goes to show what being brainwashed by a cult does to a person. Makes them mad and they show up here to bitch about those who talk about their experiences and get the word out so others won't be sucked into the scam.

  23. Can you provide any tangible proof of credibility to these claims? I am not involved in business but have been approached by people contracting with Amway and have had nothing but refreshing experience up until now. I stumbled on this site now that I am doing some of my own digging, and honestly am confused. I don’t know about anyone else reading this, but I would want to take the advice from credible resources and/or real people I can see face to face... To me all this blog seems to be is the ranting of bitter opinions of random, seemingly rage-filled individuals and bloggers who curse and degrade this opportunity and consistently reduce their legitimacy with every post. How can anyone reading this blog take this seriously when there is absolutely no credible, successful resource listed, nor anyone’s real identity/contact information? Is the sole purpose of this blog to dissuade people from looking into a legit opportunity to supplement their income and learn about leadership for cheap (when you compare it to other similar seminars)? How could someone feel proud about that?

I was told that John C. Maxwell endorses WWDB as one of the best leadership development organizations in North America... I follow John on Facebook and have seen that this is indeed accurate... Are you a more credible resource then John Maxwell? Federal Trade Commission? Perhaps the Better Business Bureau? I went onto the Amway site and saw that they have partner stores like Apple, Starbucks and Bestbuy. Are you a more credible resource then these companies or have they made the unfortunate decision to contract with a multibillion dollar company that has been scamming people for 50+ years?

I guess blogging is simply just people's illegitimate opinion, and it seems you are using people’s inability to make decisions for themselves against them. All this blog did was motivate me even more to get involved with Amway and WWDB...

    Take care.

    1. " I don’t know about anyone else reading this, but I would want to take the advice from credible resources and/or real people."

The credible resource is REAL PEOPLE. I too, when first reading this blog was skeptical. Skepticism is what prevents us from making harmful decisions. While being exposed to IBO, relentlessly, I followed their word on articles like this being useless, baseless, hopeless, and all the other fancy name-calling they used against their enemies. Of course they look to discredit us all who post on the internet against them. It only took two months, three weeks of ridiculous meetings, 2 CDs, one opening, and one monthly conference to realize what really was going on...

      The blogs were RIGHT.

The problem with your argument is the same as all the others, BIAS. They only show you the people who have made millions, not the millions who have made nothing. This is 'survivorship bias'. How can you know it is a good opportunity if you don't know how and why people failed? Celebrity endorsements and 'partner stores' are there to make you feel like you are part of a bigger picture, a mob mentality bias. Do you think Apple cares if a criminal comes in and buys a computer, only to use it to run a phishing scam? You want to think this is a good opportunity, so your mind only looks for things that prove you are right, 'confirmation bias'. Nobody likes to be wrong.

Now to debunk: You following John Maxwell on facebook makes him more credible? Amway has asked IBOs not to mention FTC or BBB, why would they do that? Partnering with Amway, for these 'partner stores', is just free advertising to millions of doe-eyed IBOs. IBOs are more likely to buy from these partners, based on blind loyalty to Amway. 50+ years? The mob has been around longer than that. So has the Klan.

There is no such thing as "illegitimate opinion". We each draw conclusions from experience, no matter the subject.

Don't believe it? Then, go be an IBO. Come back in 4-6 months, they say you can go platinum by then (a lie).

    2. Funny how the start of the post sounds like someone just curious about the Amway business, but "not involved" in it, but by the time you read through it and catch many of the Ambot key phrases and "arguments", it's obvious it's just another brainwashed schmuck.

I'll let someone else dissect his pro-Amway talking points (WWDB, John Maxwell, BBB, FTC, Amway "partners", etc) as I am not in the mood for it.

And as I tell any Ambot, you think it's so wonderful? Go for it. It's YOUR money you are losing, not mine. You don't want to do the MATH for this "great" opportunity, that's your problem. Have as many "dreams" as you like. DON'T keep a profit/loss sheet to show how the money going in is leaps and bounds over the itsy bitsy check you get from them.

This blog is to WARN those who haven't gotten reeled into the cult before they get brainwashed with CD's and late night seminars and what not. Even Amway's OWN literature admits there is a 99% chance you won't make any money in it. You'd have better odds in Vegas.

So be brainwashed. Sneer at those who shine a light on the Amway pyramid scheme (as most MLM's are). No skin off my nose. Lose as much money, friends, relationships as you like while your cult masters love bomb you even as they are picking your pocket. Your mind is already lost to the cult. I support this site to try to keep others from falling into the trap. Thanks, Anna Banana, as I'm sure many who would have fallen victim due to not knowing how Amway REALLY works (not the unrealistic circles they draw) were warned away and instead found LEGITIMATE ways to make REAL money, not empty bank accounts and run up credit cards chasing an illusion from a "business opportunity" that runs on smoke and mirrors and dreams, not facts and figures (as they will tell you, statistics are "negative thinking").

Seriously, Anonymous... you buy into all of that? Then why come here? Oh that's right. Sites like this scare off future VICTIMS of yours to recruit into the cult of losing money.

    3. Thanks Jerry and Dave. You said it best. If this guy has done his research on the pros and cons and still wants to get involved in a business with a 99%+ failure rate then there's not much we can do to convince him otherwise. Anonymous fails to realize that we don't make any money here by sharing our stories. Nobody pays us for every IBO who decides to quit or prospect who chooses not to sign up. There's no money in this for us other than we hope others don't go through the same financial and emotional losses we did. Amway ambots on the other end of the spectrum will make money if they can sign up prospects and convince them to buy Amway products and tools. Who's got more at stake here? Listen to the people who make a buck off you or listen to those who don't want others to get hurt. Sometimes you've got to let people make their own mistakes.

    4. Same poster here.

Jerry, me following or not following John Maxwell on social media has nothing to do with his credibility, clearly... I am not even sure why you said that to be honest. I do like what you said about drawing conclusions and opinions from experience rather than the experience of others, good or bad. Also wouldn’t REAL PEOPLE refer to those I can see and come to know? I don’t mean to be insulting here but...for all I know you could be a 35 year old man living with his folks still... And there is no real way for me to know, ever.

With regard to Apple, I don’t really think they need much help marketing their product, lol they are a global success as it stands. Everyone knows them. I don’t think Apple cares who buys their product. I do think they care about their reputation though, as do all businesses. When people see that they are contracting with the Amway corporation, is that going to be seen in a negative or positive light? Would Apple put their reputation on the line by partnering with Amway if what you say is fact? Or does Apple know something about the company that you do not? When you learned that Apple contracted with Amway, did you throw out your iPhone simply because you hate Amway with a burning passion, but Apple chose to partner with them so now Apple must be terrible too?

I am just thinking logically about your point is all... I mean let’s get honest here.

Dave, I was just giving some facts I was given and reading on the website as well as corporate documents I was given regarding Amway and WWDB. According to the documents and statistics you are correct that not many people succeed or make a whole lot of coin by making the decision to contract with Amway. Though I don’t see how that is much different than any other business endeavour...do you? Same stats apply in almost every other field on the planet when you factor in risk and overhead. Also, as I mentioned, I tend to dig into things before making a decision, and I literally stumbled on this article (obviously, it looks to be a couple months old) in one of my searches. I didn’t seek it out and “come here” on purpose.

Obviously there are some very negatively bias opinions here, but I am curious as to why the term Pyramid scheme was used. Obviously that isn’t the case...otherwise the company would have been shut down by the government by now, right? Has anyone read the documentation around the FTC trying to prove Amway to be illegal in the 70s? Pyramid schemes are illegal according to what I have read. Similar to Ponzi schemes, though I must admit my full knowledge on the topic isn’t the best.

So can anyone on here actually explain the Amway compensation plan to me in a different light then what I have been shown up until this point? I am interested to know how my sponsor would “make money off me”, because from my understanding that doesn’t really line up.

      Thanks!

      -James

    5. Are you sure you are not in Amway? You look to discredit me by insinuating that I may be someone who lives with my parents. This is typical of Ambots. A way to try to distract me from making a valid point. Chirping insults like a child on his gaming system.
Enjoyable thing about this, most of the upline I was exposed to LIVED AT HOME WITH THEIR PARENTS. I met them in person too, which I assume gives them more credibility, according to your logic.
Meeting people eye to eye does not make them more credible. AMO's like WWDB teach ambots how to stretch the truth, or downright lie, directly to their face.
As for us not being REAL PEOPLE, fine, think what you will, but you are still only contributing to your own confirmation bias. You want this to be your answer for financial problems, so you will try to discredit anything to the contrary.

If you want a look at this from a neutral point, just read disclaimers. You don't believe us, so you shouldn't believe them any more, otherwise you have found a bias, and should just go sign up. The disclaimers are ALL you need to know. Everything written or said before disclaimers simply tries to entice you to join. Find a pro Amway site that does show you the negatives of this business. Many sites critical of the "opportunity" will show you some positives. Create your own risk assessment, based on what you read here, the blogs listed to the right, proamway blogs, WWDB literature, Amway literature, and most importantly, the disclaimers. (The disclaimers are what made me run away)

This really isn't the site to find an explanation on the errors and faults of the compensation plan. This site is driven by the emotional turmoil caused by Amway. I will provide this in closing...

Pyramids are focused on recruitment. There have been several MLM who faced problems when they simply tried to use self-consumption as the driving force for sales. (Closed market swindle, money circulation). If you would like to know why this is bad, find out which will provide a better reward: More customers (not involved as an IBO) or more IBOs self-consuming under you, only feeding what they make at their real jobs into the business.

  24. Hey Jerry,

No, I am not in Amway...yet anyway. I am however educating myself about contracting with them.

The point I was making with that comment was that I really just have no way of knowing who I am listening to or reading the comments on in this blog. At no time did I accuse you of being a 35 year old man living at home, I was simply giving that as an extreme example to emphasis my point. I am sure that is not the case in reality.

I asked about the compensation plan because of some of the points that were made from you and from Dave. They didn't seem to line up with the business overview that I have in my hands.

I just read over all of the disclosures on the overview and they all seem fair to me... What am I missing? I continue to ask these questions because well... I actually want to make sure about this deal before I make a decision.

Thanks for clearing up that Amway isn't a pyramid. I assume that is what you meant when you posted your final comment. I am not sure how it possibly could be. From the way I understand the way it works is that the more people you sponsor the more sustainable your business volume can become, and the more customers you have the more retail profit you generate (fast money, not sustainable).

In closing, I do not have financial problems to fix, so this wouldn't be the solution to that regardless of my decision. However, I do think it's just smart and logical to supplement your income if you can, especially in today's economy. This also might be why I am keeping a more open mind about it...because even if it doesn't work out and I lose time and money, at least it will be a minimal amount compared to other business investments that I have seen gone very bad for people.

Can anyone else explain the compensation plan and fill me in on how it's bad? Or should I give up on this site and move on? Either way, I am fine.

    1. Hey there James,

You are right to assume that the more people you sponsor, the more you'll make and the more you sell, the more you'll make too. However, therein lies the problem. Sponsoring people in Amway is VERY difficult because of the corporation's extremely bad reputation... so you'll likely find yourself stuck with no one left to talk to and no downline.

Also, more often than not, products are more expensive than what you can get at your local grocery store, which makes selling next to impossible. Not to mention, there's a minimum you have to meet every month if you want to receive a check. To reach the 100PV you'll have to spend about 350-400$ worth of products to get a 3% return on your investment (roughly 10$).

Next, there's all of the "hidden" expenses that will pile up. Sure the license costs about 70$ a year. But then there are functions, events and CDs your upline will want you to buy/attend. In other comments, we had an IBO admit it cost him upwards of 5000$ a year to manage his business with all the hotels, food, gas, CDs and books he was buying.

So yeah, in theory, things work out just fine... in practice, you'll find yourself constantly fighting the corporation's bad reputation as well as trying to sell overpriced products. I'll leave it up to you to decide what to do with this information.

  26. About a month ago I was informed by one of my Facebook friends (a guy that went to my high school, goes to college with me, we've never been super close, but he's a trustworthy guy) that he had been introduced to:
"...a business opportunity I recently came across. I am working with some successful entrepreneurs to expand business. I can't say anything for sure but I wanted to for sure put it out there and see if your open to looking at different income ventures."
That was the message I was sent. I was very skeptical, especially as he was working with people that I had never met, although again, I do trust him and have known him for a while, which eased my fears a bit. Yesterday, I was convinced to be a part of a three-way phone call with him and his "senior business adviser" (to be read as: upline!) and the details were exceedingly vague. "I'm working on building a group of partnerships... It's very hard to explain over the phone... it's very possible to make thousands a month." The thing that worried me the most was the fact that I was told "don't talk about this to your family or friends yet, you aren't informed enough and will lose credibility that you could use to build your business in the future."
Everything about the call threw up red flags, so I decided to do my research. I managed to find the Facebook profile of the upline guy, and soon realized that this was all Amway. I hadn't really heard of Amway in the past (and was even more skeptical about the fact that it was obvious what business it was, but he made no mention of it in the call), so I spent most of last night doing some research. This is scary! You would think that people would learn to look into the background of what they're getting into before they commit and try to rope others in. Another person I know has been caught up in this, and still appears to be in the delusional stage of thinking success is still possible. No one seems to realize that the market is exceedingly over-saturated and will keep growing.
Anyway, at the end of the call, they convinced me to attend a meeting on campus tonight, which I will still go to, just to listen to see how much BS is being spewed, and how similar it really is to what I've read. However, I will not being buying into this scam, when no room for new success exists. I would like to not burn any bridges with the people I know over this, but they seem to be very gung-ho about selling this idea. I'm going to ask a few questions regarding MLMs, the taxes from this, how many people I'll need downline to make a profit, etc. and can't wait to hear the answers. I expect the peer pressure to be very large, but I'm going to fight it completely. It's just sad how these people use their language and speaking skills (the guy on the phone yesterday kept trying to relate to me personally, it was a great tactic) to completely brainwash others into believing everything they say.

    1. UPDATE:

I meant to post this update earlier, but more has occurred since, so I'll cover the past week now.

Monday night I went to this meeting. I told the upline that I didn't think that I would be able to get enough people to buy Amway products. No one that I know does extensive online shopping, they all prefer to go to a physical store, and I can't imagine anyone spending $68 for Vitamin C when they can get twice as much for 10% of the price at Walgreens. I told him that I didn't have enough time right now to devote to Amway, and that the idea that the only way to make money was to recruit more people concerned me. Oversaturation maybe?

My favorite part was when I brought up taxes. The upline kept talking about how all the travel could be deducted as a business expense, so I asked how reporting income for tax purposes works.
Him: "Well, it's more of a hobby, so we don't need to pay taxes on income."
Me: "So how can you deduct travel as a business expense, if it's not a business?"
Him: "It is a business, you own your own business."
Me: "But you said it was a hobby, then a business."
Him: "You can't really understand how it works until you're operating your own business."
Riiiiight. I'd rather not get audited for screwing with my taxes like that, or find out that you're lying and screwing me over.

Anyway, I was the third or fourth person that night that he tried to sell on the idea, and the only one that asked any questions or wanted to research the idea. Everyone else signed up immediately and dropped $165 without even knowing what they had to do. Complete idiots! I told the guy that I wanted to look at my schedule and look into Amway more and see if I thought it would be good for me. Essentially, I just wanted him off my ass for the night, I had stuff to do and he just kept pushing.

So at the end of the meeting, he sent me on my way under the assumption that I would be returning the next week overflowing with excitement about Amway and would sign up. He also gave me some of the XS stuff (one sip was gross enough for me) and a cd to listen to (Eric Thomas is far more motivational).

The next meeting was supposed to be last night, and I told the guy that had tried to recruit me (he only contacted me about 5 times to see when I could meet, I do have a life outside of constantly checking my phone) to tell the upline that I was too busy to be at the meeting and felt that I was too busy to "open my own business" (I love how they pass off Amway as their business, it's not their own at all) and didn't have time for Amway. Haven't heard from anyone in over 24 hours, so they've either given up on me, or are planning a new way to make me understand that I do have time for Amway.

As a side note: one of the new recruits asked the upline if he was a millionaire, after the upline told us that it was so easy to become a millionaire in a few years. He told her that he wasn't one yet, but was guaranteed to be by the time he is 30. First of all, this actually could be possible, because he spends his entire life recruiting people for downline and to buy his products, he might actually make some money, but only because he deceives everyone he knows for his own benefit (he forced his mom to buy Amway product), but he won't make a million in the next 8 years, only way to do that is to have a REAL job or own a REAL business. Second, no income is ever guaranteed, things happen, there is no way to guarantee money will be there outside of a CD or savings bond. Maybe these Amway fellows need some personal finance classes. Finally, when she asked to see some numbers, he wouldn't show her anything, which would logically tell someone that the numbers he says are false. Sad thing is, she still paid $165 and signed up for Amway.

    2. Wow! Thanks for sharing your story. Everything you said happens at every Amway meeting except they don't get prospects that keep after them on taxes and earnings. They like to skip that part and sign you up first before you figure out you got scammed. A lot of people are going to miss this because its on an older post so I'm going to bring your comments on to a new post someday soon. Thanks for sharing!

    3. I'll watch for that and keep either that thread and/or this comment updated with anything new. I'll start adding a name to my comments so you know it's me.

  27. Amway is no different from any other business you would own. You get out of it what you put into it. I don't know what info sessions you have been to, but they're not all like that.

    1. Thats fucking bullshit! We sank thousands into the Amway scam never to see it again. With our real business our income exceeds our expenses = profit. So don't show up here with your fucked up Amway Amspeak and try to tell real business owners how the Amway pretend business is superior to our business and knowledge of how a real business operates. Amway is a blame the victim scam and the brainwashed Amspeak you spouted off is ingrained into all ambots to justify why they're not making money in something thats set up for failure.

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!

If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. Gets checked occasionally. We’ll get to you eventually and approve it as long as it really isn’t spam.
