Amway Ambot Slinging The “Are You Free” Bullshit

Here’s a reader who has an ambot relative. When a person is in the Amway cult they’re brainwashed to be egotisitical, arrogant, self centered bastards who don’t give a shit about anyone. Its all about them and their greedy ambition to be surrounded with materialistic things. This ambot uses the “are you free” bullshit that Amway encourages their employees to ask others. The thing with when I put this phrase on my blog such as get your wife free I end up getting potential husbands searching the Internet for free wives. Bizarre. So by putting out the are you free Amway ambot chant I might get a bunch of searchers looking for free prostitutes or something. Oh well. Yup whenever someone you haven’t heard from in years (friend or relative) calls and asks stuff like are you free instead of how are you, how’s the family, what have you been doing lately then they’re probably involved in an MLM scam. They have to make up a list of everyone they know and then if they how to contact these people start contacting them and trying to recruit them into the Amway cult. This reader’s relative is a perfect target for Amway and the ambots are probably love bombing her. She’s a student and will likely drop out because of the Amway teachings that education is a waste of time. No really. Whatever you spend on education could be put to better use tithing the great Amway gods. A broke ambot won’t be in the scam too long. No money = no one in Amway wants to be friends with you.

Dear Anna,
I LOVE THIS BLOG. Recently a family member who I haven't spoken to in years (despite living in the same city), reached out to me and ask me if I'm free several times after I kept saying that I'm not. No "hello, how are you doing?!" or any form of respect. It's all about HER. I kept asking her why she wants to meet and she doesn't give me an answer. I found out from other family members that she's a part of Amway and I'm 99% sure that she's trying to recruit me and my husband to build her downline. She never really had friends growing up and apparently, I'm the "big fish" she's trying to catch in hopes that I'll get all of my friends in. I'm glad I found this site to avoid her nonsense. Everything described her regarding these ambots describes her personality, exactly from the "keep negative people out of your life and if your friends don't want to be a part of Amway get new friends" bullshit to the false Artistry claims. She does not know that I know all about scAmway and it's nonsense so for the sake of not damaging our relationship even more than it already is, I'm just ignoring her messages! I'm worried she's going to ruin her life, though because she seems to have lost interest in her education thinking she will get rich from this. She's been in almost a year now and still a broke young gal. How much longer do you think she'll last? She can do whatever she wants with her life but it bothers me that she is getting family into it, which is what tears family apart! Thanks and again-- great blog!!!

Pure genius, Anna. I wanna frame that and hang it up. Ain't that the exact truth.

  2. If Amway were a university, its most popular and highly sought after major would be Brainwashing. Speaking of this, I believe amway uplines could land a very high-paying job in North Korea, considering the fact that while North Korea takes a person's entirely childhood and youth to brainwash them, Amway uplines only take 1-2 days. High efficiency indeed!

  3. One of the nastiest things about Amway is the way in which it compels its new IBOs to trade on family relationships. It's a cynical and manipulative practice.

Family relationships are delicate and intricate. Sometimes they are strong, but in many other cases they are fragile and subject to misunderstanding. We all have more "family" fights than we have fights with strangers.

Amway works on the assumption that your family is nothing but a potential financial resource -- one that you can exploit for your own advantage. That's the exact opposite of what a family is supposed to be. Family relationships are supposed to be respectful, loving, courteous, and linked by shared history and blood.

By forcing IBOs to go after relatives as down-line recruits and customers, Amway poisons the family relationships that IBOs have with their kin. You always want to give a relative the benefit of the doubt, and you usually are inclined to accommodate their wishes. So when a kinfolk IBO comes to you with the Amway plan, you feel bad about saying No. And when it doesn't work out, there is resentment and anger. Either the IBO resents you for not joining, or you resent the IBO for getting you into the Amway bullshit rip-off.

And yes -- it's horrible to watch a relative get sucked into Amway and slowly turn into a robotic, vicious, money-obsessed freak.

  4. Other slings that they can hurl are:

    - are you open for extra income?
    - are you open for a business opportunity?
    - are you open for better options?
    - do you want to "be your own boss"?
    - do you want to "work on your own hours"?
    - and many more you think.

What you're trying to say is that the "tools" can be valuable. But it is abundantly clear that the tools are nothing but hyped-up razzle-dazzle that teach you nothing substantial at all.

    2. Hi Anonymous - Out of over 10,000 comments left on this blog there have been about 3 people who wrote in to say they used to be involved in Amway, saw it to be a scam and got out but also said they found some of the materials they used to be helpful in starting up their own business. And all said this was businesses operating for a number of years. But I'm thinking books they might have found helpful would probably already be available in the general marketplace. Like a book that the Amway cult leaders sell for $20 might be available on Amazon for $2. What's the difference. Same book. Different sellers. Only one of them out to rip people off. In other words its possible for ambots to get out of Amway and continue on to a better life. Not everybody fails and sucks at everything. The percentage gets a lot better at success once a person quits Amway.

      Delete
    3. 2nd Anonymous - depends on the tools. Whether its a motivational recording by an Amway cult leader with zero business advice or some kind of business book that can be bought anywhere. Amway products as you pointed out are a bunch of razzle dazzle hype that teach nothing.

    4. How about going to the library for FREE and reading all the inspirational biographies you want of people who ACTUALLY succeeded and created something useful for society, not a bunch of con artist Ambot leeches lying about their losses with Amway, and hiding their tools income! Study business at a college. Hell, watch educational youtube videos, documentaries, get mentored by successful people in your neighborhood or church, buy a few books, but don't COMMIT to a MONTHLY purchase of stuff that's 95% crap and OVERPRICED. I expect AT LEAST a deep discount if I am committing to blindly buying over $50 of books and CDs a month. Anyone with half a brain of common business sense can see that!

      Delete
    5. That's right Jerry. You can do that reading for free from the library and find free reading on the Internet too. But the giving away stuff for free concept is not for Amway. How else are they going to scam suckers out of their money unless an inflated price tag is on everything.

Yeah if I'm going to commit to a $50/month purchase I'm going to make sure its actually stuff that I want. Not overpriced Amway shit.

    6. Anonymous of 4/23 reminds me of something my ex would say. He'd claim that it was no big deal that he wasn't making any money at "the business" right now because he was using Amway teachings to get ahead in his job. He'd claim the reason he got a raise every year was because he was applying Amway teachings at work.
Sweetie, the reason you got a raise every year had nothing to do with Amway. You're in a union, it's in the contract that you get a raise every year. You're probably damn lucky you are in a union so they couldn't fire your ass for all the time you took off to go to Amway meetings.

      Delete
    7. Anonymous - that's right. All Ambots say the same things. Its because they've spent so much time listening to their Amway cult leaders and their twisted teachings they can't find any fault with the way they do things. And if good things happen to them then its because of Amway. Sick thought process for sure.

Yup people get automatic raises if they're in a union or if they're not, after they've worked for a certain period of time. Maybe after they've scored a big deal for their company or tons of other reasons. Got nothing to do with Scamway. And I agree, any Ambot in a union is a damn lucky to have that job because its real tough to get fired.

I even expanded my business internationally, drew circles for diamonds and double diamonds, I was a full on AMBOT leader...I was first in the meeting, last in the meeting to leave..listen to tapes 3-4 x per day and brainwashed my self to be FREE financially...I dined with the diamonds, even with Dexter himself...private counselling with Dominic Coniguliaro, whos was the sponsor of BILL BRitt who was huge in the US market ...during the BIG rise in th 90s...the wave of millionaires came at a cost...I saw how much money was made, but i knew the Tools was the key, as they exposed to me at override commision for tools once you have 75 or more IBOs...this was when I felt the guilt of taking advantage of my friends and families that i sponsored, that i made money from them...its ok that I bought we buy products at wholesale and consume it as a member, or selling retail, but buying tools and $2 and selling it at $5 was a bit too much margin, plus all tools like books and functions...

  7. The word "cult", "network marketing" and "mlm" has a negative connotation on the people in general, that is why they sugarcoat it with several jargons such as "prosumer", "work-at-home-jobs" and even used names of big companies like "Google pays me $200 an hour" to make the offer sound good.

They use business languages like "e-commerce", "business opportunity", business ownership, "developing leaders", "raising entrepreneurs" and all those rah rah terms just to cover the real nature of that organization.

One way to deceive people is by telling them something that they are not a cult but a business opportunity.

  8. Amway realizes that it is a wheezing, creaking, rattletrap, old-fashioned sales business from the late 1950s. Therefore it tries desperately to paint itself as cutting-edge and "new." Hence the push to present itself as an "e-commerce" opportunity and "pro-sumer model" and "21st-century new paradigm." Pretty soon they'll be talking about their plans for space travel.

    What a load of crap.

Amway still is what it has always been: Selling low-grade soaps to half-wit dopes.

    1. Anonymous - when will Amway realize its time to shut down shop? The Internet has become their worst enemy as people share their experiences of getting scammed by Amway. A business model that worked in the 1950s or 60s doesn't work today. And pushing themselves as a bullshit ecommerce opportunity doesn't work either when too many people know Amway is a scam pyramid scheme.

Yup selling low grade soaps and substandard products to a bunch of dumb fucks is the only way Amway can keep its head above water. But with the way their sales have been declining over the past few years they either have to shut it down or change things around. My recommendation to the owners - quit while you can. You're all rich. You don't need to keep scamming victims to join your sick cult.

  9. If you ran your business as much as you ran your mouth you would be very successful. I should hire you for a hot air balloon business because all of your useless bashing just further validates what is wrong with this country. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Is your blogging making you successful? MAybe...but who are you to bash people for what they want to do? You don't pay thier bills. That's why its called 2 cents when someone like yourself gives their negative opinion...because that is all that it's worth. Just the same, this is America where freedom of speech is practiced, but also the freedom to make a living however you want to as long as its legal. If amway wasnt legal do you think they would still be in business? I certainly don't think so. I dont personally sell amway but I am a firm believer, to each their own. From the sound of it, you are probably the reason your husband failed at his business. Could you imagine coming home to someone who is miserable and is constantly bashing your dreams and always has something nasty to say? I think his rate of success was cut down by half the minute he told you about it. Negativity breeds negativity. Most couples fail because one of them isnt entirely invested, body, mind and spirit to a dream, which means what? They won't succeed. Can it be done, sure. But only if the person doesn't to much value the opinion of the significant other. Also, so wat if you guys failed, failure isnt permanant. Get up and try something different. Lots of people flunk out of school, does that mean college is a scam? Lots of people can't get a refund on thier pointless books, does that mean the college is trying to scam people? No they are a business like anything else in this great country. The only thing I read in your blog was a bunch of "opinions" and cuss words. Not to much educatiopn there at all. If you want to be negative, do it by yourself. No sense in poisoning other people's minds because YOU had one negative experience!!!!! End Rant :)

    2. Hey you! Anonymous at 11:58 AM!

You really are an incompetent liar, and you ought to take a refresher course in lying if you want to be a successful deceiver. Right now you're a complete flop at it.

How do I know you're lying? Very simple and obvious -- you show your hand several times. Let's enumerate them.

LIE NUMBER ONE: Your statement "I don't personally sell Amway but..." Do you know how many times we have heard that particular piece of bullshit from Amway defenders who show up here? You WOULDN'T BE HERE AT ALL visiting this blog if you weren't interested or connected in some way with Amway!

LIE NUMBER TWO: You suggest that college is not a scam, but then you say that the books a student buys for college are "pointless." Well, if you think college isn't a scam, then why do you say the books required for it are pointless? You can't have it both ways. Here's the real truth: you're the typical anti-intellectual Amway freak who doesn't believe in higher education.

LIE NUMBER THREE: You make the utterly stupid statement that "If Amway wasn't legal do you think they would still be in business?" Are you really that dumb, Anonymous at 11:58 AM? Suppose I said "If the Mafia wasn't legal do you think they would still be in business?" Plenty of corrupt, cheating, and rotten business concerns go on making cash year after year. And that's exactly what your precious Amway is doing. Just because your scumbag gods in Ada, Michigan have bribed and corrupted plenty of Washington bureaucrats doesn't mean that your business is morally ethical.

LIE NUMBER FOUR: You say "Most couples fail because one of them isn't entirely invested body, mind, and spirit to a dream..." Don't you know that such a statement is pure and unadulterated Amway-speak? That it is precisely the kind of family-destroying crap that is preached over and over again by up-line to down-line in Amway? That countless marriages and relationships have been wrecked by Amway assholes like yourself who spout that kind of loveless garbage? I think it is profoundly symbolic that the two most effective anti-Amway blogs are run by persons whose marriages were nearly destroyed by Amway: Anna Banana and Joe Cool. Joe and Anna both know, from bitter personal experience, that the love between a man and a woman is more goddamned important than your half-assed monthly PV.

LIE NUMBER FIVE: You say "If you want to be negative, do it by yourself. No sense in poisoning other people's minds..." Ah, the real truth comes out at last! Anonymous at 11:58 AM is enraged because he's not getting anybody to sign up as a down-line IBO anymore! What's the matter, pal? Can't make your monthly quota because too many persons are reading Anna's blog and getting wise to your scam?

As I advised above, take a refresher course in lying. You really need it. And maybe if you were more sophisticated in lying, you wouldn't find it difficult to rope more people into the Amway fraud.

    4. Hey Anonymous. I get you! And the first dumb fuck Amway loser is going to have to be a much better liar if he wants to make a few pennies in Amway.

Its really fucking embarrassing admitting you're in Amway so I can see why people deny any involvement. But too many of these dumb fucks show up here and say they're not in Amway and then they spout off a bunch of canned bullshit Amspeak they hear at every Amway meeting from their cult leader.

As we say all the time around here the life of an Amway Ambot is to lie, deny, distract and defend. Where else do you work so hard for a company but don't get paid for it.

The only people we believe who say they're not in Amway then share their experiences with us about how they got scammed or someone has a loved one inside the Amway cult and talk about what's happening to their lives. Those ones we believe because they're not spouting off the canned Amspeak.

      Great points! Thanks for posting!

  11. I read a blog from mlm skeptic about the truth of positive thinking.

Positive thinking has been taken out of context by many uplines.

What is positive thinking? Positive thinking ONLY WORKS when you have KATE!

What is KATE? Knowledge (education, facts), Ability, Training and Experience

In other words, positive thinking does not mean that you can do anything. It will only help you do better when you have KATE!

Ignoring facts is not positive thinking, it is teaching those downlines to be deceptive, impulsive and reckless with their choices and that's not positive thinking, it is putting their necks on the line.

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!

If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. Gets checked occasionally. We’ll get to you eventually and approve it as long as it really isn’t spam.
