Lines Amway IBOs Use To Scam Prospects

At meetings we attended the IBOs were often berated by our sack of shit Platinum because prospects had not been brought to the meeting. Most people can’t find anyone to come to a meeting once they mention Amway. The sack of shit gave IBO’s suggestions on how to trick people into coming to a meeting without letting on its an Amway meeting. Yeah, that’s a real honest thing to do. What a wonderful upstanding honest company we’re associating ourselves with when we have to resort to dishonest techniques taught by our dishonest upline. Here are some of the “lines” he taught IBO’s to use when contacting or approaching prospects to get them to come to a meeting. And yes upline really does use the word “line” or “lines”. In addition to taking notes, Ambot recorded them too. Got him! This topic could also be titled “how do you know when you’re being prospected by the Amway cult”.

1.      “I was wondering if you could give me your opinion on a business I'm looking at. I really value your opinion and could use your input.”
2.     “We do sell Amway products but that's only about 20% of what we sell. Everything else comes from over 2,000 other companies most of which are Fortune 500 companies.”
3.     “How would you like to be your own boss?”
4.     “No it's not Amway. Its World Wide Dream Builders.”
5.     “Have you ever thought about starting your own business?”
6.     Want to go with me to listen to the world’s greatest motivational speaker? It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.
7.      “Don’t you want to be free and not punch a time clock?”
8.     “Are you tired of working a J.O.B. and making your boss rich?”
9.     “Do you ever look at other ways of making money?”
10. “I'm in the process of expanding my business in the area and I'm looking for a few sharp guys who are interested in being financially free within the next two to five years.”
11.   “I work with a team of multi-millionaires developing business online with over a thousand companies. We’re looking for ambitious guys who want to create a secondary source of residual income through a proven mentorship program.”
12. “Do you know anyone who might be interested in making a couple of thousand extra dollars a month working part time only 10 to 15 hours a week?”
13.  “Don't you want your wife to come home from work and be there for your children?”
14. “I know a really sharp businessman who has some great ideas. I can’t promise you anything but how would you like to meet him for coffee?”
15.  “We work with Benny the Bastard who owns Benny the Bastard Enterprises out of Miami. He owns his own consumer distribution company. Maybe you've heard of him?”

Feel free to load up the comments box with the lines you were taught to use to trick people.

  1. #11 was what my ex said when I first asked him what all these "business meetings" he went to were all about. At the time I thought Amway had gone out in the late 70s/early 80s like disco and bell bottom pants. My parents had been in Amway back then but quickly got out and I never heard anything else about Amway after that so I thought it had gone away. Imagine my surprise when I agreed to go to one of these "meetings".

    1. Hi Anonymous. Isn't it amazing that Amway Ambots use the same lines for decades. Nothing ever changes in Scamway except the faces and the prices going up.

What Amway Ambots fail to expand on their "proven mentorship program" is that its proven for failure.

    2. Thank GOD, I’ve found a kindred spirit. I too, am married to an Ambot. I had no idea just how evil Amway/WWDB were until I experienced first hand, the snake oil/tent revival/shit show that is Spring Leadership two weeks ago in Spokane. I drew a line in the sand two weeks ago and it was only then that I realized how completely ducking brainwashed my amazing husband actually is. I’ll be back later to share my personal nightmare. Thank you for your blog!

  2. Hey Anna,

Maybe they should set up a booth dispensing "favors" at their meetings staffed by the diamonds and above male/female don't think anyone would care!

Wait, Ambots are sexist like ole Dex Yeager says about Birdie as that birds in a cage!

Gosh nothing has changed in over 40 years yet I have brought this up with some of my very influential government pals as justice needs to be done against this rot as in the meantime dear Anna keep up the fight!

    1. Hi KMB. Amway is definitely a good old boy's male chauvinist pig club. These Amway losers are always stopping by blogs and lying about how things have changed in Amway and us old time bloggers have it wrong. Nothing has changed in Amway in decades.

    2. Here's my advice to women who are married to Amway freaks. Tell your husband that he won't get any more sex until he gets out of Amway completely. Not even a smell.

I'm a man, and I assure you ladies, this will definitely work. If it's a choice between pussy and PV, pussy will always win.

  3. Compare #4 with the following:

    4. "No, it's not Amway. It's World Wide Dream Builders."

    "No, she's not a hooker. She's a hands-on sex therapist."

"No, we're not raising your taxes. This is governmental revenue enhancement."

"No, this isn't garbage. This is recyclable urban surplus material."

This is the kind of mentality that you need to have in Amway. You disregard reality by creating a fake language that clouds people's perception.

    2. To a fellow Anon, I had one idiot of a relative spouted that the government is old and outdated after a private conversation between my other relative about amway and this is after the conversation where he walked in does just that. More stupid shit about his hurted feelings, mentioning he can't wait to be pick as a juror(after I got selected and finished my duty and I can tell ya he's not gonna be pick for no honesty hahahahah.... as if, because lawyers are very good at sniffing bullshit once ambots are in voir dire phase), however he did comment the government is outdated which suppose that they are responsible to select you for that position(don't try to lie that you're a good person, because the government can check your background, so if they found out your social media didn't match their data bank then they're going to pass of and assume you've lied about yourself or delusional take your pick). The moron contradicted himself then proceed to leave my house with a driver's license(state and government issued card). Any time he attempt to buy ANYTHING with US currency it's a government produced note, ANYTHING with the use of US passport it's from the government, and if he tried to pass out as a joke...he can't...everything he say and do must be positive ..as joke/sarcasm(if he utilize sarcasm already then it's to show his mock and contempt only on himself which is negative) is something not serious and it's the opposite of that...negative. Either way he's a hypocrite.

    4. Amway Ambots can't tell the difference between what's truth and what's negative. Anyone with a differing opinion from the Amway cult leader is automatically labelled negative. Ambots can't handle the truth because that means their dreams of getting bazillions of dollars in residual income every month from Amway will slip away.

Get in a room with actual and legit proven business owners with their companies to debate these people filled with asinine and melted craniums just to have some fun roasting them. Just request running with a very typical and general "How to start a business properly" question then proceed asking for more verification. They're gonna choke deep inside, because they will SWEAT very profusely afraid that they will be exposed.

If it's a prosecutor with a very bad day vsing a fraud IBO, I want a piece of that action pointing out fallacies after fallacies to aid the lawyer. I'll be a prosecutor's whetstone while they will be the ones cutting through bullshit like a fucking field day.

    6. Anna, just go ask them why bother asking people for money during any events about free money whether personal or public given from certain situation in life, because if they're rich...they should be "Oh I have so~ much money!! I don't need to ask, I would rather share it" if they are an entrepreneur, but if ask about I'm an entrepreneur because of my dreams/beliefs then it's a religious goal...also a good immediate red flag it's most likely a cult....or it could be just Amway.

    7. About the comment that speak about Amway rephrasing it to sound very fancy. It's circular reasoning and it's basically a fail way to communicate. Ambots love being vague as much as possible without getting anywhere to the point of communication once something got clashed with their personal beliefs when facts make the contrary happen. They are prone to any impulsive emotions way too much. Success got them way over their heads and it's not the healthy kind. I find them way over superficial to be any good.

  4. I went to one of the meetings once before. They're only interested in the freaking business and a couple of them mentioned they have no time for any casual chat which are normal and they deem unrelated "business" topics irrelevant. Their CDs often shown just some person speaking about being always positive and keep going no matter what. Most of them actually to the point thought they're expert doctors or salesperson without a license(no doctor license is a fraud/quack). Nothing about any type of business plans or proven effective strategies to be financial successful. One of the easiest way people try to scam you when they acted as if they know what type of person you really are, however they've never met you once in your life then attempt to recruit you to their gig... Amway sure pull one of the oldest con tactics in the book. Any success you've gain without Amway struck them as envious if they're compare themselves to you and tried to criticize you for their failures, more so if they started to play the blame game as it's very immature and apparent to people can see through that smiling mask of theirs.

There's no point talking about facts if they're too knee deep in the indoctrination. A few of them have already taken jobs to which contradicts the plan by just working in Amway alone that no job are needed else in life. Good if they manage to snap out of it with income on them. Bad if they're still in it and wasting money on Amway. A single part time job alone with consistent income beats out Amway once you know how exactly what you're making as it's predictable and reliable. I hope this will help a bit when others are reading this how I went through and no I didn't work as an Ambot so that's a huge plus on my end to live happy without it excluding those that I knew are in it must come to realization for themselves.

And yes Doctor Ambot Quack is alive and well in Amway dispensing medical advise that Amway's snake oil will cure all terminal illnesses. It's sickening and disgusting the way these Amway Ambots will lie to scam you out of your money.

In Amway the facts don't count and if you attempt to talk logic or point out the obvious to an Amway Ambot and your point of view differs from his Amway cult leader he will argue you with a bunch of bullshit Amspeak propaganda. The life of an Amway Ambot is to lie, deny, distract and defend. You'll never work so hard at any other job in your life. But then you got to ask yourself if you work for a company that everyone hates to the point you have to constantly lie and deny to defend your beloved employer in person and online why the fuck would you keep working for such a shithole employer.

They don't need to HIDE anything at all and will explain with consistency with minimal reasonable effort.

Facts are facts and if they attempt to use anything personal on you and you know they're gonna do it not intellectually then they're a liar from a loss ethic. Character credibility has been damage beyond repair. A broken product that has no use to be truthful for any purpose no matter what authenticity they appeal on the surface, even that smile of theirs. A couple of handful of them already quoting about "business owners have different ways of interacting depending on the coach and skill sets" but never mention how that appeals to what they're doing is vaguely suspicious and answer them for why. Again are they qualified on teaching others and what's their credibility for how? are they registered legitimately by all businesses to know of them? Finally if they have any proven certification of the training and education to do so, but if they do not then it's questionable to believe they're not since the coach can't prove it either. If the Ambot has a poor communication and does unethical conducts then no matter what training they provide, customers will leave on that note and they're not wrong for that due to common sense.

  10. Anna,

While this isn't fully Amway-related, I wanted to thank you for providing such an essential service. Bloggers such as you and Joecool may have kept me from making a terrible mistake.

I have a pretty solid college education, and yet have a low-paying job (that any ambot would gleefully call a J.O.B.) due to several factors in my area. For a while after college, I was so desperate for employment that I toyed with becoming an IBO. Fortunately, I was talked out of it, even hearing "Enough about f-ing Amway!" once.

Nearly a decade later, I went to a job fair that yielded few results. Coincidentally, I had just discovered your blog and equipped myself with facts. Days after the job fair, I got a cold call from a different MLM which I will not name, and was requested to interview.

I got to the office early, feeling very skeptical. I researched the company, discovered its MLM nature, and knew that I wouldn't sign anything. The interview began, and the recruiter showed me the company's plan, but began the interview asking me about dreams. No interview for a legitimate job I have been on has ever asked those kinds of questions.

While she drones on about residual income and building a downline (or an "agency" in this MLM's parlance), I sat there thinking how much of a time-waste this is. Variants of many of these lines were used, so Amway is unfortunately influencing other MLMs to sucker in the recruits.

All in all, it was a high-pressure pitch from which I walked away unharmed but shaking my head. Thus, I personally have to thank you for helping me make a positive decision to avoid this company (and extinguish any lingering intrigue about Amway from my past).

    1. To Anonymous at 7:19 PM --

You are quite correct -- no interviewer for a genuine job is going to ask you about "your dreams." In a real interview, they simply want to learn if you are suitable for the position being offered, and whether you have the necessary knowledge and experience to handle it.

Turning the MLM pitch into a fake "job interview" is a devilish scheme to trick people. You think that you're being considered for an actual paying job. So naturally you want to please the interviewer. And this leaves you wide open to being hooked into a non-paying MLM racket.

And yes -- whenever anyone talks about "residual income" and "down-lines," you should take these to be immediate red flags.

    2. Hi Anonymous. I’m glad you found our blogs and they helped you from making a big mistake - losing your money and brain cells to a stupid cult.

Amway and other scam MLMs post fake job ads to reel in suckers. It’s just one of the ways Ambots prey on victims. We’ve written posts on that before.

And yes Amway Ambots will get you in front of their nest closer to nail that sale. High pressure sales tactics that you would usually see from a time share sales rep.

Hang in there and the right job that pays you what you’re worth will show up one day. It’s not unusual for people in their 20s to hold all kinds of jobs. Some people even change careers a few times in their life. Even people who run real businesses might decide on a different business venture or go back to work for someone else. As long as you’re making an honest living you’ve got nothing to be ashamed of.

That’s something Amway Ambots can’t say about themselves.

      Delete
    3. And that’s good advice Anonymous. Got to keep an eye out for scam job interviews too.

    4. Live honestly without lying to yourself and another is much more rewarding not just your pockets as you reflect from your honest work, but most importantly your humanity of conscious would thank you very endearingly. Think your conscious as your most loyal lover, friend, and most trusted right handed man that never leave your side through thick and thin. Your conscious doesn't have to be perfect, but you still have to follow it as best as you can. The worst is abandoning it as you would gutting it with a blade.

    5. I am 31, and have a Bachelor's, Masters, and a professional certificate. It's been rough out there.

Getting the cold call from that other MLM cult was a red flag for me, as I honestly didn't see their booth at the job fair. They probably got their hands on the list of attendees.

While it is embarrassing to run into old friends from high school who are doing better than me, at least I'm not pressuring them with asinine sales pitches and forcing people to buy things they don't need.

    6. Exactly Anon, Amway is the last resort to pick for any "employment"(Ambots will deny that and call you an IBO for poor reasons) and it's also a place for the desperate, gullible, and morally bankrupted people. Just with higher education you can still be opt to a lot of employment within those lists compared to just average education. I've already attended college so I already know what's it like. Like in other posts, all you need is a degree in university or college and your education is finished. While in Amway, your "education" will never end, therefore you're going to pay up even more to the point it may cost your entire savings to do other things enjoyable(you still spend $ to enjoy in amway, but it'll be medicore at best contrast to what you really wanted to do in your spare time than being forced to unnecessary meetings where your higher "superiors" scold you for not joining, plus it's already suspicious once they act up that you didn't attend those). Ambots love to use the phrase "Why bother college? sometimes you won't graduate and still spend money if you continue going" some time in a mix it's a scam, but do you really believe that? of course not! It's a straw man. Nothing is free in the world and you gotta pay up for that. It's just a way to bullshit to get people going into amway and to ignore their own flaws.

Bottom line, Amway are really jealous of your success IF YOU EARN IT HONESTLY, everything seem to me about those scammers that lied to be the ones regurgitating anything that they're the ones jealous of honest lives just speaking the truth of those ambots then use that phrase onto others, but it really speaks about themselves to ease the unbearable thought. If you work other jobs next to amway and still be a liar then you're still a liar in everything you do, because it'll leaves all your truths questionable. Fact.

      Delete
    7. Anonymous - I suspect that there was a master list of all attendees that were given to all the companies. It's possible that one of the company's reps is an MLM loser and is contacting everyone. Either that or one of the company reps you spoke with and gave your information to is doing the pyramid scheme on the side only until they get really big and can flush their stinking job. LOL!

Sometimes you need to relocate to get your dream job. Just keep your options open.

There's tons of websites, but I think your recommendation should be better if you made a blog like this. I say you're more experienced. Either that or I just need to talk to a banker about how to avoid scams.

    9. Hi Anonymous. Check out pyramid scheme alert, link on the right side of this page under more info about Amway. mlmtruth.org might be another one to check out. Lots of MLM scams listed there.

  11. We already have very skeptical "doctors or nurses" in training that work in hospitals, but got upset whenever they hear anything related towards a MLM or specifically Amway. Over on my area where I lived, if such people manage to get that far into the noble and legal professions then it's something I should be worrying about or probably something else. It could be an Ambot who got "fortunate" into one of these professions and still related towards them or it's just another person who's managing their time working as an honest profession.

I got pulled over for an "interview" with a doctor...what? I just came to get my testing for w/e condition I may be having. I didn't want to be employed for working in a hospital...that doesn't make sense. I didn't ask wanting to be hired for no reason. If that's the case I should be asking do I get payed for this? If you live in Houston I'm pretty sure you're be seeing some unique or shady people here. I pick shady. Be careful w/e you're going and be sure to know how to read people's intention AND probe through those masks of theirs. It's not just Amway either.

I'm pretty sure some where in Houston is one of Amway's "big" nesting ground.

    1. Anonymous - I would be really worried about the ethics and morals of a professional if I heard they were in Amway and go elsewhere.

    2. Well, I was definitely worried about this recruiter's ethics, despite her not being in Amway. However, it was alarming that many of this different company's lines were similar (with the one about working with 2,000 different companies standing out, not to mention the crap about dreams).

    3. talk about business goals and how to achieve them, overall don't attempt to sound too confrontational to the point it'll be a scene...avoid that, because it's one way to get you into a bad scenario instead of them...handle it with grace...and more importantly be neutral as much as possible. Think of this way..you have the facts and questions to defend yourself while they have dreams to cloud their thoughts...their dreams won't save them from scrutiny as it can't survive (ruthless)peer pressure. If anybody tries to manipulate you emotionally and you felt it. Don't say a word. I believe this is a good way to fight against Ambots, because they don't know(unless they're reading this) that if a customer is quiet after being oppressed while they're smiling....that's a very bad sign...if the customer or whom the person is speaking with got up and left without saying a word. Then it spells doom for the IBO. If the customer/person that doesn't work with amway say ANYTHING EVEN NEGATIVE/POSITIVE/CRITICAL feedback...you're given a 2nd chance to retain that person's integrity in certain scenario, because in a strong way that the customer/non ambot, their status is very similar towards their employer. If you respect your Boss's status and position but disrespect the customers or future prospective customers, it's the equivalent to backstabbing your Boss. We have the power to give life onto Amway with our income or disembowel with them and leave them to die. Cults like these hated us for a reason... the reason why.... is a Reasonable mind. We have the mentality and rationalization to spot lies and bullshit that will hurt amway's employers...I wouldn't be surprised they sent employees to silent us. On the internet? Don't kid yourself.

    4. You're right. Amway (and all cults) hate anyone who is rational, intelligent, self-controlled, thoughtful, and willing to examine things impartially. Qualities of this type are absolutely lethal to the entire cult mentality, which is based on superstition, hype, emotionalism, and impulsiveness.

Don't ever talk to anyone involved in Amway. Just listen, remain silent, and then get up and walk away from them without saying a word. This is the only way.

    5. Anonymous - that might work but then Ambots live for anyone who challenges them about why Amway's shitty products are so high priced and why Amway is a cult and a pyramid scheme. Then you'll hear a bunch of bullshit Amspeak propaganda. It's easier to walk away but if those Amway losers have other means to contact you, they will.

    6. Bullies that thrives on the weakness of the character. My how rich! How weak of their mind has become so warped that they lose everything...There's already stories have long served Ambots that loss a lot...Facts > Fantasy.

    7. call a restraining order and let see how that'll went. Call the police and watch them see if they really want to get back at you for a fight/recruit.

    8. Well you can only really do that if you’re threatened with violence which isn’t a stretch with an Amway Ambot. You can call the cops and report fraud and you’ve been scammed and ask to press charges and see if they’ll do it. Les see a lying scamming Amway asshole talk their way out of that especially if you got them on a recording.

    9. I have someone in mind that most likely did that because he's a fucking greedy pig. I wish I can reverse time to see the look on his face if I checked his pocket shirts. Or I can kick his ass again sooner for doing such a thing by calling the police on that spot.

    10. Anonymous- that’s a very good description of all those Amway losers- fucking greedy pigs.

  12. If they're forcing your hand and give them a stern warning not to do it again or give them repercussions if they poke your buttons. If it's a family member then you should act with their family up until bringing in the law later if it gets any worse. Usually a police officer present should suffice the situation and defuse any motives coming from a Con Artist. Representatives of society are not to be trifle with when it comes with disorder. A restraining order should do the trick if your case is won.

  15. I got an Ambot that quote a lot of books from known successful Authors, however interesting thing is he never follows them and instead goes into his eavesdropping tactic. These are the types of people I really hate, they tend to act all wise and all, but they always have hidden motives. Once they "beat you into an argument" with personal insults, they then tried to isolate you from whatever friends or family in order to savor that "victory" by telling false lies under the guise of a righteous asshole. Objective truths are always presented with evidence which is also the language of debate and the foundation of all discussions. Personal truths are based by faith. Subjective feelings are ill in terms of presenting "facts". This person just avoid all of my responding arguments and never listen to the ones I tell him that proved itself the 1st time and the 2nd time without an argument by to aim for person insult. Poor listening skills are not good for any businesses whether employer or employee!!

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!

If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. Gets checked occasionally. We’ll get to you eventually and approve it as long as it really isn’t spam.
