The last time we ran the Eat Snacks Much post one of our readers challenged Amway to cut out the middleman (Ambots) and put their products on the shelves of mainstream retailers. Amway is still too chickenshit to take on that challenge LOL!
Getting people to eat those lousy Amway energy bars, or to
drink that XS energy drink, is difficult once they have tasted the stuff. It is
simply unappealing to the taste buds.
The entire point about snacks, as all the big food companies know, is that they
have to be TASTY! A snack isn't just to satisfy a momentary hunger, but also to
make your mouth tingle with intense flavors. That's why Cheese Doodles and
potato chips and Hershey's chocolate bars are what persons reach for when they
want a quick snack.
Here's a direct challenge to the Amway corporation. Put your goddamned energy
bars and your XS drinks on the shelves in major food stores. And see how well
they do. First off, they are outrageously overpriced, compared to the items
offered by all the big food companies. And second, they taste rotten!
Competitively, your Amway crap would be BLOWN OUT OF THE WATER.
That's why you have to sell the crap through your half-assed MLM scheme, urging
IBOs to self-consume and get other stupid schmucks to self-consume as well. You
wouldn't stand a fucking chance in REAL retail competition.
Amway knows it can't compete in the retail world. For them it doesn't really matter, since the main business of Amway and its various LOS subsystems is recruitment and training. Just as in every MLM racket, the products are nothing but legal cover.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - Amway is just a closed market buying club with Ambots (aka IBOs) as clients. So yeah as you said Amway doesn't really care that they can't sell their shitty overpriced products to normal customers. Having a product to sell just barely makes them a legal pyramid scheme. But everyone knows Amway is all about recruitment. Sell the hope not the soap.
