My story of what its like to be married to an Amway cult follower. I expose the lies that our upline told and what happens at Amway meetings and functions. I leave the explanations of why Amway is a poor business opportunity or the tool scam to other bloggers. This blog mainly exists to curse out my former upline, aka the cult leaders, and to let everyone know what kind of idiots I had to put up with. Feel free to join in or live vicariously!

Brainwashed Ambots Will Never Understand
13 comments:
Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!
If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. Gets checked occasionally. We’ll get to you eventually and approve it as long as it really isn’t spam.
All right I've been quiet long enough. I'm sick to death of hearing this crap about us lazy, dream stealing, losers who couldn't hack it in the business and who are now just throwing stones to keep you down.
ReplyDeleteLet's just look at some facts. Less 1% of ABO's (that's Asshole Business Owner, if you are keeping track). Make it to the all hallowed diamond level. Upline counsels that if we follow the system, it will produce repeatable results and we'll be diamonds in 2-5 years. WHAT A PILE OF CRAP!!! The systems have been around now for what - at least 30 years and the success rate for the average ABO is stil less than 1%. That tells me something is wrong with your crappy, lame ass system.
As for being lazy let me tell you. My dumb ass upline nearly wrecked my marriage and my career. My wife and I spent 6 months in counseling doing emergency work to repair our relationship. I stalled out in my promising career (my diamond counseled and I quote "don't be taking any promotions that may come along, you need to focus on your business and keep building). It has taken me 5 years to finally make up the ground I lost. Regrettably, I had to move half way across the country to do it.
ABO's need to wake up and realize... you don't need your upline... THEY NEED YOU!!!! They cannot exist without you, more accurately your money. If you are not feeding the their family reunions, books, tapes, CD's and other miscellaneous crap, they have NO INCOME. If ABO's were smart they would band together against these morons and throw off their ineffective and corrupt system.
One last thing that pisses me off. Not only does the idiot upline cling to an inneffective system, they refuse to embrace new technology. SERIOUSLY have these morons not heard of MP3, IPods and e-books???? So while they are ripping you off by giving you advice that really only benefits them (remember not even 1% make it to diamond) they do it using 1952 technology. If these bastards are serious about helping people up as much as they say they are, they would be embracing this new tech to lower their production and distribution costs and make their grand life changing counsel more accessible to all.
Finally, I know there are some who will still say I'm a lazy quitter. Or that I didnt' follow the system. BULLCRAP! I sold out. I did 15 meetings a month I prospected up, attended opens and reunions, blah, blah, blah. I did everything my upline told me. I was their little bitch for over 3 years. So don't tell me I didn't try.
Since "quitting" I've found a job where I make almost 6 figures (damn economy kept me from passing that mark this year), my wife doesn't work, I'm paying off all the debt I built up from counseling upline... and most importantly -when I go home at night... wait for it... I enjoy time with my wife and kids.
I'll even tell you how I did it FOR FREE.... READY??? I worked my ass off. That's it pure and simple. I did the tasks that no one else wanted, I ate the shit sandwiches management fed me, I lived in a crappy cube, and dealt with stupid politics and even dumber co-workers. I kept working and taking the opportunities as they were opened. Anyone can do the same thing!!! Stop thinking you have to be lead around by someone who's only giving you advice because you give them money!!!!!
Ok I've rambled enough... Have a happy day. Unless you are an ABO... the F the F off!
Wow! Lobotomized! Its been ages!
ReplyDeleteDoesnt it feel good to get that off your chest? You need to write a blog! I'd love to hear more from your point of view!
Actually, it does feel better. I don't think I'm ready for my own blog yet, however I'll keep commenting here... quite frankly I don't think I have enough patience to manage my own blog. Besides your blog is cool... so I'll just bask in the glow of your coolness.
ReplyDeleteGood for you Lobotomized. I'll take your advice for success over a "diamond" anytime. As you said, the brainwashing taught the IBOs that the diamonds were financial geniuses and had some kind of "secret" that they could pass on to IBOs they deemed worthy to magically make all those millions suddenly start pouring in. The IBOs at seminars would flock to them like groupies hoping to hear the magic "word" that would transform them into the millionaires they knew was the Amway reward for all IBOs who dutifully did everything they were told. Of course, the pearls of wisdom would simply consist of "buy more tools". While it was good advice to make the diamond even richer, it sure didn't do a heck of a lot for the pauper IBO.
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to hear a story of someone getting out of the cult where they can REALLY make money.
~Dave
Lobotomized - it always makes me feel better when I write down how I really feel about my former upline! I didn't think I would have that many stories to tell. I really thought I was running out back in January but things happen to trigger memories, maybe something I've read or maybe one of those idiots contacts my husband.
ReplyDeleteThe only bad thing about the blog is when I decided from the beginning to moderate comments after seeing some other blogs get out of control. This is the place to curse out your upline not attack others with racist comments.
Dave - it just cracked me up how IBO's wanted to sit in the first rown and then rush the Diamond when he was done speaking. I think IBO's get under the false impression that if they spend 2 to 5 years buying Amway products and tools that Amway will hand them out a million dollars a year forever afterwards and that million dollars would help cover the costs of buying more Amway products and tools. Who knows what these people are thinking!
ReplyDeleteOk fine Anna you talked me into it... I figure what's the worst that can happen? I get bored and stop? At least I'll take out a few dipshit upline morons before I go.
ReplyDeleteLobotomized - the worst thing that can happen is you get a stalker so keep your real name to yourself. There are some very peculiar IBO's out there who look at the people who get the truth out about Amway and being abused by their upline as threats to their livelihood and path to financial freedom.
ReplyDeleteJoecool has a stalker that leaves threats on his blog. I don't get threats but I get some angry IBO's leaving the usual comments about how I'm a loser, a quitter, a negative, unchristian wife, who is out there to steal other people's dreams. You know - the typical canned Amway speak responses straight from some CD.
Yup take out a few dipshit upline and get your story out what happened to you and how it affected your family. The more information out there the better. The Internet is Amway's worst enemy. Little by little we get the truth out there. I hope one day this evil company and their LOS cults can be stopped.
I live next to one of these assholes. We were best friends until I decided I wasn't interested in their scamway. The worst part is he feels that he is more of a christian because of it, yet he falls so short. Keep you blog going, expose this nonsense....before others lose so much from this crap.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - that's what the Amway cult does to people. Changes them from nice decent people into sneering arrogant pricks who think they're better than everyone else because they're in Amway. Our upline all professed to be Christians too but if that's what being a Christian is all about then I don't want any part of it. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteAnna: NO, that's NOT what being a Christian is all about. This is what burns me the most: how the upline and other scammers twist Christianity and scripture to brainwash, torture, manipulate and defraud others. Jesus said "one new commandment I give you: to love one another".
ReplyDelete1 Corinthians 13 says it best:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres....
What about these verses, Ambots? Nowhere in the entire Bible is defrauding others, being judgemental and unforgiving, acting superior, etc. condoned. In fact, it is condemned in numerous places. Anger, judgement, pride, arrogance, greed, envy, jealousy, all of these are repeatedly pointed out as terrible sins.
But...it's well known that even the devil can quote scripture to suit his own purpose. 'Nuf said.
Connie - you'll never convince our Platinum!
ReplyDeleteAh yes. The devil. That's another word we can use to describe him.
Touche. Sound arguments. Keep up the amazing work.
