XS Gear

Ambot was so hyped with everything Amway that he went to the XS Gear website undoubtedly encouraged by his upline and purchased some items. Ambot never drank energy drinks prior to getting involved in Amway but during the Amway dark ages he purchased boxes of XS energy drinks weekly and consumed them with frighteningly urgency. It was only natural he would want to promote the product that his upline convinced him was going to pave his path to riches.

He purchased what could best be described as a nylon webbed cycling outfit - shirt and shorts. He also purchased an XS cooler to store all his XS energy drinks and carry them dutifully to all Amway meetings.

The problem with the shirt and shorts was that they arrived in a smaller size than Ambot ordered and they charged his credit card so they had his money. Thus began many phone calls back and forth between Ambot and XS Gear. After dicking Ambot around for several weeks XS Gear finally admits they don’t have his size and won’t be getting any more because its a discontinued product. After all IBO’s are so busy attending meetings and functions, dealing with multiple phone calls and texts from upline, showing the plan, and all the other time-consuming bullshit that goes on inside “the business” who’s got time to ride a bike.

Ambot tried to return the clothes but XS Gear refused to take them back. Remember they strung him along with telephone tag for a long time and checking the stockroom for other sizes? They have a refund policy only if the items are returned within 30 days. The time frame had expired.

Let’s see. Whose fault was it for charging the credit card and then shipping the wrong size?

Their suggestion to Ambot? “Keep taking the product and one day you’ll fit into the clothes.”

What a bunch of fucking idiots especially since they sent the wrong size in the first place instead of coming clean from the start and admitting to Ambot they were unable to fill the order. No wonder Amway partners with them. Always good to have a partner store on hand that shares similar philosophies in fucking over IBO’s.

I’m not sure what happened to those clothes. I haven’t seen them. Its possible Ambot chucked them out or put them in with other clothes we donate to charity. Maybe they’re stuck in the back of the closet and I’ll run into them again one day. He never wore them.

As for the XS cooler? We didn’t really need another cooler. We have 2 or 3 already. Ambot probably only bought it for bragging rights to impress his upline and crossline about how devoted he is. Ambot loaned it to one of his upline and they stole it. Never to grace our house again thank God!

That’s one of the best things about ending our Amway business - no longer dealing with lowlife lying, greed-consumed Amway IBO thieves.

  1. Energy wasnt meant to be consumed by the box. Most people who drink them realize they arent good for you and can probably get sick drinking too much of the stuff. I consume one bottle every month or two. Gee your hubby purchasing the XS Gear is f ckin hilarious. Im sure you found him embarassing wearing that stuff around the town:P

  2. My sister is practically engaged to of of these Ambots... in fact his whole family is consumed in the business (and very successful--at the expense of countless others no less) and has started pushing it on my other family members... I've done my research and don't approve of this way of doing business--I completely agree with your closing remarks "lowlife lying, greed-consumed Amway IBO thieves"!

  3. Anonymous, you need to send your sister to read this blog especially the one I wrote about busting relationships including the comments where one woman recently broke up with her boyfriend. http://marriedtoanambot.blogspot.com/2010/10/busting-relationships.html

They all pretend to be successful even the ones who've only been in the business for a few weeks. They're conditioned to lie so prospects think they'll make easy money too. Your sister may find it difficult because her partner likely will not quit so as not to lose face with the rest of his family. If your sister is not interested in Amway his family and whatever cult line of sponsorship he's in will tell her partner that the reason he's not successful is because she's holding him back.

  4. Colin - Ambot has never taken any energy drink since his Amway/XS days. No he never wore the shorts and shirt. They sent him too small a size. Yeah that would have been embarrassing if he'd worn it all over town. I think his plan was to wear the outfit, pack his cooler full of XS, and then hit the local sport fields and hand out free samples. And a business card of course hoping he'd make some sales.

  5. lmao lucky for him that XS outfits didnt fit. As a wife having your partner go around town wearing XS gear and handling out samples might be just too embarassing. I wished ibofb ex wife would go on this board and tell us what she had to go through. I bet she had to wear a paper bag over her head during his amway days.

  6. Everything Ambot did related to Amway was embarrassing but I wouldn't want to be seen with him when he's wearing that outfit. Maybe IBOFB's wife made HIM wear the paper bag on his head!

  7. holy shit, these stories are scary. you must really love your hubby to have put up with all this shit. what is it about amway or any period scheme that attracts people to it? it's got to be something more than the simple promise of "riches".

  8. Gerry - my stories are only a drop in the bucket, I've read much more scary stories. The Amway business opportunity is a bad choice and many other bloggers explain why. Its not so much the Amway attraction. The real reason people get sucked into the business is the sponsor has introduced them to the upline who are generally very charismatic and the type of people you'd like to hang out with. What the prospect doesn't know is this is a cult and they're being brainwashed. I had to pull off a big move to get Ambot out of the cult.

  9. Have you heard the motivational song promoting XS- "8 +8+ 8 = 80K".

The concept was something like if you had 8 customers buying 8 cases of XS per month and had 8 downline IBOs do the same thing, then you earned something like 80K.

Sounds really great in theory, but hardly happens.

BTW, we did like XS. Did not need it after we became inactive and have never felt lack of energy.

Main reason for promoting XS and consummable products is so that IBOs would buy useless products like these month after month.

  10. Nope, never heard that song. Maybe Ambot heard it and was influenced to self-consume XS to make up for those missing 8 customers. I tried different flavors of XS and found it nasty sour tasting garbage. We were at an Amway get together once where somebody used it in a fruit punch. Watered down with 7-Up it wasn't too bad but I could maybe say that about rye too!

  12. Wow. Just always amazes me how much negative is out there. I have no idea where these "cult" upline leaders are, but I have never encountered anything even close to that. My upline taught me a business model to fit in my existing life and be built in small pieces of time. We teach that still to new peoples, and I make about $500 per month on 10-12 hours a week. I have many other activities and life priorities, and I make this fit where it can in my life...not to BE my life. So sorry to hear these kinds of things. But it can be an is a wonderful business...if done right. Sincerely, brad p.

    1. Wow it just amazes me how people in Amway are always so freaked out paranoid about things they consider negative! Must be nice to go through life with blinders on! And way to go making $500/month. There is less than 1% of IBO's who make money in Amway so out of that 1% you must be in like the top 5% or something. Thats quite an accomplishment. I get dozens of searchers every week, maybe a few hundred each month searching for information on "Amway cult". Take off those blinders. The cult leaders are out there and searchers are distressed enough to get more information on the Amway cult.

  13. Do any of you actually know what a cult is? or are you just repeating what you heard some other broke lemming said that you thought was clever? I have met a few "Ambots" but I've met & know of thousands of "dumbbots" that are exsisting paycheck to paycheck in a system that resembles slavery because that's all they've been brainwashed to do all their lives. I've met hundreds of nice, moral, upstanding & happy people who make good $ from thriving Amway businesses who have good healthy "win-win" relationships within & out of their businesses. I know of innumerable people whose lives, marriages, etc are better because of their positive associations "in Amway". I'm sorry that your experience was not a good 1. Every "organization" has it's good & bad aspects because they are made up of people.

Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!

If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. Gets checked occasionally. We’ll get to you eventually and approve it as long as it really isn’t spam.
