My story of what its like to be married to an Amway cult follower. I expose the lies that our upline told and what happens at Amway meetings and functions. I leave the explanations of why Amway is a poor business opportunity or the tool scam to other bloggers. This blog mainly exists to curse out my former upline, aka the cult leaders, and to let everyone know what kind of idiots I had to put up with. Feel free to join in or live vicariously!

Life Changing Event or Just More Amway Bullshit?
37 comments:
Comments are moderated but we publish just about everything. Even brainwashed ambots who show up here to accuse us of not trying hard enough and that we are lazy, quitters, negative, unchristian dreamstealers. Like we haven’t heard that Amspeak abuse from the assholes in our upline!
If your comment didn’t get published it could be one of these reasons:
1. Is it the weekend? We don’t moderate comments on weekends. Maybe not every day during the week either. Patience.
2. Racist/bigoted comments? Take that shit somewhere else.
3. Naming names? Public figures like politicians and actors and people known in Amway are probably OK – the owners, Diamonds with CDs or who speak at functions, people in Amway’s publicity department who write press releases and blogs. Its humiliating for people to admit their association with Amway so respect their privacy if they’re not out there telling everyone about the love of their life.
4. Gossip that serves no purpose. There are other places to dish about what Diamonds are having affairs or guessing why they’re getting divorced. If you absolutely must share that here – don’t name names. I get too many nosy ambots searching for this. Lets not help them find this shit.
5. Posting something creepy anonymously and we can’t track your location because you’re on a mobile device or using hide my ass or some other proxy. I attracted an obsessed fan and one of my blog administrators attracted a cyberstalker. Lets keep it safe for everyone. Anonymous is OK. Creepy anonymous and hiding – go fuck yourselves!
6. Posting something that serves no purpose other than to cause fighting.
7. Posting bullshit Amway propaganda. We might publish that comment to make fun of you. Otherwise take your agenda somewhere else. Not interested.
8. Notice how this blog is written in English? That's our language so keep your comments in English too. If you leave a comment written in another language then we either have to use Google translate to put it into English so everyone can understand what you wrote or we can hit the Delete button. Guess which one is easier for us to do?
9. We suspect you're a troublemaking Amway asshole.
10. Your comment got caught in the spam filter. Gets checked occasionally. We’ll get to you eventually and approve it as long as it really isn’t spam.
Anna Banana does it again! If I'm feeling a bit blue, all I need to do is log in & read your blog and I'm rolling on the floor laughing! That is, when I'm not crying because of all the lies, dishonesty, broken dreams and broken families, all because of Amway.
ReplyDeleteThanks Connie!
DeleteIts hard to strike a balance when blogging. A lot of people have been devastated financially and emotionally by Amway. Most of them can thank Amway for destroyed marriages, families, and friendships. Those aren't funny matters but its like a blood sport for ambots destroying other people's lives. So all I can do is talk about the devastation the Amway cult brings to their followers and make my Amway upline look like a bunch of assholes that people will laugh at because my upline are everyone's upline. I get tons of comments from people saying their Amway upline said or did the same thing so my experiences are common not unusual. Then we can all laugh at the assholes in Amway but not so much at the losses former cult followers have suffered.
Your blog not only helps you heal, it helps others too when they see that it's NOT their fault, that Scamway is a 'business' system designed for IBOs' failure and the uplines' enrichment (at IBOs' expense, of course).
DeleteAnd while you're healing and helping others, you're making your readers not only laugh but grow along with you. Like I wrote a few weeks ago, when a sales person (read: real estate agent) tried to rip us off, at first I was very upset then I thought "I just need to channel Anna Banana and tell them to fuck off". Honestly, it made me laugh and changed my whole attitude about the situation for the better. I got over it a lot quicker than I would have before becoming your devout reader. You are helping more people in more ways than you ever might think of or even imagine. Keep it up, your readers need you.
Connie - there's always going to be people out there who will try to scam you in just about every profession. Amway just seems to attract the bulk of the scammers!
DeleteMy blog helps others be prepared for the lies and lines that ambots tell. Ambots think they're all big shots and important successful business people when really all they are doing is playing a pretend game of owning a pretend business. I make them look like the ridiculous Amway assholes that they are.
Hahaa yea too bad amway events really dont happen only once in a lifetime. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If an amtard only approached me once in my lifetime that would be fuckin great! None would be better though. Persistent little shits huh? If all that time, effort, and money were spent on an education or building a real business, some of these guys could actually become successful wealthy businessmen! Thats the sad part. "Dont ever let someone steal your dreams" Shit, dont ever let some asshole tell you how sad it is that you have to get up and go to work in the morning! Get up and go to work you simpering pussy!
ReplyDeleteI wish Amway only happened once in our lifetime! Unfortunately my husband bought into the lies twice. Both times by people he knew and liked. Me not! Some people have signed up multiple times for Scamway over the years always drawn in by the promise that this time things are different or this LOS has better training and leadership than the last one you were with.
DeleteAnd you're absolutely right. The ambots who do break even or make a small amount in Scamway if they had directed their energy to a legitimate business and being a real business owner instead of a commissioned salesperson for Amway then they likely would be doing pretty good out there in the real business world.
Anna banana..u just talk like a banana....what u do..?
ReplyDeletehow much u earn now...?
whats ur lifestyle....?
from ur talk i am sure that u r a broken banana....
hahahhahaha.......show some good character..use some good words..u always uses shi.as...le, whats all...by using these kind of words how can we trust u...criticism is not bad but mind your language....
anna apple - at least I'm not some fucking Amway prude from Madras, Tamil Nadu, India!
DeleteFrom the writing, I had thought a 7 year old had gotten onto mommy and daddy's computer and was goofing around the internet until getting caught.
Delete~Dave
Dave - you would think that! I get it that his first language is not English and can cut him some slack but anyone who shows up to my blog with a canned Amspeak response only does it to get some Anna Banana style punishment. And to drive my blog higher up the search engines. His Amway bosses love it when that happens!
DeleteProbably one a those people who drinks cow piss and subsequently also loves the taste of xs cat piss drink!
DeleteAnonymous - those ambots are brainwashed to worship piss drinks!
DeleteI had an ambot cousin who tried to ease her family's financial situation by...erm..becoming an ambot. It left her with a huge amount of stock she couldnt get rid of, and she ended up using the products all by herself over the next two years. All this while valiantly defending the quality and integrity of these products. It was very very sad.
DeleteP.S. I am from Madras, Tamil Nadu, India. And we don't drink cow piss. Or cat piss. Gross misrepresentation. Peace ;)
Hi Anonymous - Amway ambots have to stockpile products, kind of goes with the territory they have to buy a minimum amount each month to qualify for a tiny commission check. Ambots waste a lot of money buying shitty overpriced Amway products that they probably had no use for before signing up with this cult and probably have no use for once they leave so they're stuck with them. Most end up tossing the shit out but at least your cousin was able to use, likely kicking herself the whole time that if she'd bought a similar product at the grocery store she'd have saved a whole lot of money.
DeleteThe original poster was from Madras, India but I don't think anyone was stating the people from there drink cow piss, just generally stating that Amway ambots would drink it - if they drink XS which tastes like a combo really bad cough medicine and cat piss, then they'll drink anything. No matter what country they're from!
Is bankruptcy or home foreclosure a life changing event? I saw it happen to some crosslines while in Amway.
ReplyDeleteJoecool - actually those are life changing events. Also divorce is a life changing event. All the wonderful things an ambot has in front of them if they stick it out in Amway!
DeleteYes, Amway is a life-changing event. Unfortunately, just not a good one for 99.9% of those who get "fired up" (i.e. brainwashed).
Delete~Dave
Bahahaha!! First time reading your blog. It came up in a google alert for life changing!! Has given me a laugh for a good 10 minutes!! I've sworn off all MLM for the rest of my life!! Amway Scamway was the worst - they never liked me calling it that while I was still signed up!! Lol
ReplyDeleteHi Tracey! I'm glad you found me. You are very smart! Stay away from Scamway! Stay away from MLMs! Ha ha. They must have been riding your ass "not to say negative" paranoid bunch of Amway assholes that they are!
DeleteHai I am from Tamil nadu, India. Thank god after seeing your blog i left or escaped this dream stealing,. time stealing what they call business.i recently got net4 connection. if i had seen your blog earlier i would have saved more years in my life any way.Atleast now god saved through you. your style is little harsh but they deserve all the language you use
ReplyDelete0
Hi Anonymous, thanks for stopping by. I'm glad you got out of Amway before more damage was done. Very smart decision you made! Obviously you are a lot smarter, nicer, and write better than my previous visitor from Tamil Nadu! Good luck to you!
ReplyDeleteHave to tell you I've done some work for the manufacturing mothership in Ada. As an outside contractor. Decent enough place. Employees seemed content. Nice facilities. I guess the marketing department is pretty brutal. Lots of what you buy for name brands is packaged there as well as the Amway brand.
ReplyDeleteget a life pls.
ReplyDeleteYou only get your life back when you quit Amway. Say that again but look in a mirror.
DeleteWhat a crap you have written here, unsuccessful people like you just act as a rotten apple for the whole basket. Millions of people have been achieving their dreams and will be getting their perfect lifestyles through AMWAY. I just dropped my parents at the airport for the MELBOURNE TOUR by AMWAY today. When you'll get success only then you'll come to know about it..
ReplyDeleteThere are so many live examples. Hope you'll get something very good achievement someday through AMWAY.
Baha'i the strawberry from Delhi India - if I was raised by scammers and liars I wouldn't be going around bragging about it. Doesn't your country have enough poverty and misery without assholes like your parents going around fucking over their fellow citizens? What proof do you have that Amway has helped millions of people? Helped them into the poorhouse and divorce court is more like it! This sounds like some bullshit that assholes in the Amway upline lie about. If it was true Amway would be gloating about it all over their web page. The number of people is probably in the low 100s and that list would be the owners of Amway and the various cult group owners and that sort of thing.
DeleteInitially, I told myself I wasn't going to go through any of these blogs, as Amway has already wasted 4 hours of my life. However, these have been very nice reads, and I'm still coming out ahead financially and time-wise since I never bothered to sign up with Amway.
ReplyDeleteI've got waaay too many things to say about the 3 meetings I've gone, but if this won't be my only post, at least I can pace myself....
For my most recent Amway meeting, I had a feeling that it was more MLM/Amway/Quixstar bs. Because of a miscommunication with my "new sponsor", I decided to give this a shot. When entering the meeting, existing members and the "goons" standing around the perimeter said that since I was new, I should go up front. I told them "no thanks", I'll stay here in the last row. I played games on my phone for 20 minutes, but I just had to leave. When I left, my "sponsor" and other "sponsors" were waiting outside the door to confront us and to sign on as an IBO and/or go to that convention in 3 weekends.
I told him I'd rather just continue working my existing job. After no success of getting me to sign on, my my "sponsor" and called a "senior goon" to help pursuade me. I gotta hand it to these guys... they really know how to say all the right things, while completely being deceitful in leaving out the important details. It's just downright creepy how aggressive they are in getting you to sign up for those things. For signing on, they say things like "The population of is , if another person like you joins, what do you say about that?". Don't care, but I can see how they try to get your hooks into you with that one. They also say "do you think your friends will help you if you have money problems?". If I'm having a problem paying rent or bills, I can't say for sure that the friends I've known for years will help, but it sure as hell won't be you guys.
And then they tell you that the big convention coming up is a great opportunity to learn more. Heh... during the meeting, one of the videos literally had nothing but buzz words like "empower" flash by... tells you NOTHING about being an IBO. They tell you "you're going to waste the gas anyways, so just check it out". Again, "heh".... it's 115 miles to get to that convention from where we were. Even if I had some big thing planned, it wasn't going to be a 230 mile, round trip thing. I wouldn't have to spend $100-something on a ticket, not to mention $100 to $150 a night for a hotel, and reading this blog confirms my suspicion that it's the same bullshit on a grander scale... larger room filled with more suckers, more diamonds, and now with higher ups beyond them.
I've learned my lesson, even in tough times, when someone gives you a business propisition like this, ask the 3 questions... "Is this Amway/Quixstar/MLM?", and tell them you need a "yes" or "no". Not... "it's an e-commerce business". Hope that wasn't too long... I kept it as short as I could, but it sure felt good posting this.
misuse of pointy braces...
DeleteIn the 4th paragraph that starts off with ""I told him I'd rather just continue...""
towards the center, the omitted due to this site's dealings with tags was
The population of [whatever country he thinks you're from] is [whatever that figure is], if another person like you comes upon this opportunity and wants to join but you didn't take this opportunity, what do you say about that?"
Again, these guys are manipulative, overly/fake nice, and creepy all at the same time.
Hi Anonymous. You're lucky Amway only wasted 4 hours of your time! But then you say you went to 3 meetings. Those must have been world record shortest ever Amway meetings! Most meetings last 3 hours or more!
DeleteThanks for stopping by with your story. Everyone has the same story, just slight changes to details. And nothing ever really changes from 5, 10, 20 years ago. Still teaching the same bullshit. Just more desperate now because the Internet is full of people who've been victims of the Amway scam and getting their story out there.
I'm going to bring your comments up to the front sometime in the next few weeks because a lot of my readers will miss this being an older post. Also I'm going to rerun this post again. It needs another play by because we're getting into Amway conference season!
And yup, Amway ambots are manipulative, fake, nicey nice, and creepy all at the same time. Actually that would make a good title for a new post!
This blog should translated in other languages. I think the Amway heads should not benefit from the families they scammed. Everyone should know that Pamella Roland (DeVos) fashion label only exists from this exploitation of bullshit products and unachievable dreams fed to already hungry and impoverished countries. Makes me sick.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - we have enough trouble just with English! Amway is all about exploiting and hurting people who can least afford those kind of losses. It is sickening.
DeleteHi I am a real estate agent, I went door knocking and was invited by a lady to talk to her about selling her house. She then told me that in order to be given the chance to sell her house I need to go along to a meeting because she only wants to deal with people she first have a relationship with. I went along innocently and found other real estate agents there too. It was just a scam to recruit people. My wife got sucked into buying some products and there is no end to their invites and turning up home unannounced.
ReplyDeleteI am sick and tied of the big spill about the fact that they offer passive income( the money keeps coming in even when we don't work) blah blah blah...
Its all a fuss but don't ever believe their well rehearse lies...
Philip- thanks for letting us know of this latest scam that Amway is using to scam new prospects. That lady probably didn't own the house anyway. There were very few people we knew in Amway who were homeowners, most were renters. And those who did own homes were counselled by the assholes in their Amway upline to sell them and use the sale proceeds to buy more Amway shit or counselled to skip mortgage payments and use the money to attend Amway functions and then they'd get foreclosed on.
DeleteI am glad you have this in the internet, I fell for it once right after I got came back from Afghanistan and got out of the Marines. Some Retired Air Force idiot used the "We look out for our Veteran's kind" to get me involved in it and fell for it one time thank to that blue falcon. But never again!! Thanks for exposing their lies here!! Good looking out!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous. Thanks for serving our country! One of my cousins was in the Marines too but he's retired now and that was before Desert Storm and what's going on in Afghanistan and Iraq. Yeah its really sickening the way Amway ambots prey on people and usually those who can least afford to lose money in their scam. But saying they look out for other veterans, sick. And you know what else is sick. Amway has another scam function coming up to brainwash the masses called Free Enterprise Days and they bring in various members from our armed forces to parade across the stage. Its always good to recognize those who serve our country but at an Amway function its just creepy. Good luck to you!
DeleteYes, Ambots will use whatever thing they can, such as religion and patriotism, to trick people into thinking it's moral and above board.
DeleteAnonymous - I guess I never thought of it that way but you're right. No different than how ambots try to recruit doctors, lawyers, police officers and other professionals to try to convince others look who we got in our downline, they wouldn't sign up if it wasn't moral, legitimate business. Just goes to show anyone can be scammed no matter how smart they think they are.
