Life Changing Event or Just More Amway Bullshit?

Some of the lines the Amway upline assholes say to pressure people to come to Amway functions:

Once in a lifetime opportunity
Life changing event
Biggest function of the year
Not to be missed

Some of those statements could be applied to a Madonna concert! Or viewing the pyramids in Egypt.

The thing is between every Amway WWDB function those are some of the lines used by the Amway assholes to influence the cult followers to part with their money at a fucking stupid time wasting Amway shithole event.

Those Amway bastards are so UNoriginal!

There are endless Amway cult meetings held in a month but 4 times a year are major WWDB events where the Diamonds earn the bulk of their Amway income in the tool scam so they book a large venue to get as many IBO’s as they can to attend. The Amway Platinum and Emerald demons are usually the ones assigned to put the screws to the downline to ensure they fucking better get their asses to the function so the Diamonds can get richer.

The Amway assholes bullshit the downline into thinking its a once in a lifetime opportunity, that is until the next Amway once in a lifetime opportunity rolls around in 3 months.

This starts before the last function has ended. The sack of shit Platinum has his hand out wanting the cash for the next major function. This is a common Amway scheme. Gotta get that cash fast in case the ambot quits Amway sometime over the next couple of months. And if you take too damned long to buy the ticket to the next Amway brainwashing conference the upline will mock you until you come up with the money and buy the ticket.

The lying assholes in the Amway upline will lie to the cult followers and brainwash them into believing that they will be learning about leadership, building a business, valuable training advice, and other bullshit Amway propaganda.

The reality is the only thing that is different about the WWDB Amway functions is they change the name: Dream Night, Spring Leadership, Family Function, Free Enterprise Days FED.

There is no training, no business advice, nothing that will help people in a business Amway or anything else. The WWDB Amway functions are a scam. The whole point of holding them is for the Diamonds to make money not for any ambots to gain any business knowledge. The ticket money and commission from hotels is how those sitting at the top of the Amway pyramid make the bulk of their annual income. Now that those Amway assholes have the IBO’s money they have to come up with some kind of a show to keep the ambots entertained. Despite all the  bullshit promises that the Amway assholes said about what was going to happen at this event, the same thing pretty much happens at all of them. Family Reunion will have a few other scamming lying Amway assholes who have reached a certain level usually Platinum sharing the stage with the Diamonds. All those sack of shit Platinums do is thank all the fucking assholes in their upline. Boring shit that goes on for what seems like an hour or two but I think they’re really only assigned 5 or 10 minutes - it only seems like forever. Let’s skip past those bastards. The main reason the brainwashed ambots show up for these Amway functions is to swoon and worship the Diamonds the way their upline has taught them to behave when they come to one of these events and are in the presence of Scamway royalty. The Amway WWDB bullshit session lasts 12 hours or so. Keep the ambots up late and fill them with bullshit so they’ll agree to anything when they’re tired. One couple after another slinks across the stage and they brag about their houses, their sports cars, the luxury vacations they take, all their material possessions. Most of them thank god for bringing Amway into their lives at a time when he was digging ditches and she was slinging burgers at a dive and now look at them and all their riches. Then the next Barbie and Ken Amway Assholes slink across the stage and basically say the same thing except the jobs might be slightly different, always of the minimum wage no experience necessary type of labor. Sometimes they’ll show a video or slide show of their possessions. Whether or not they really own the stuff or its a staged picture shoot is unknown. Its not like you can believe anything that someone in Amway says anywhere because they’re the biggest fucking liars around.

A once in a lifetime not to be missed opportunity? Yeah? Only until the next one rolls around in 3 months.

No one needs to pay big bucks to listen to a bunch of lying Amway assholes. Just hang around Barnes & Noble long enough and an ambot will show up to bullshit you and invite you to a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Ambots Cheating on Their Significant Others

Due to a couple of recent comments about how the Amway cult continues to destroy lives I thought I’d revist a post I wrote over a year ago.

I started writing Married To An Ambot as kind of a healing process for me to curse out my former upline and get the word out about what happens at Amway meetings and the upline abuse. In doing so I was hoping to reach out to other women who are in similar situations or were at one time. Our stories might have some differences but they are the same. I was involved with upline who I feel to this day are truly horrible, evil troublemakers. If I help other women get their husbands/boyfriends out of Amway and away from their destructive upline, then writing this blog is all worth it.

Usually it is our husbands who are approached by a friend who tells them about an amazing business opportunity. A home based business where they work 10 to 15 hours a week and can earn an extra $800 a month or more (!) by selling Amway products and signing up other IBO’s who will also purchase Amway products and sign up others to do the same, and so on and so on. At first the wife might be sceptical. You know the old phrase about how if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. The numbers look good on paper but in actuality it doesn’t seem believable that this can this be pulled off. The old saying about if it was really this easy then everyone would be doing it and making money comes to mind.

When our husbands get excited about something we want to be supportive. It doesn’t take long before we stop being supportive and end up getting more and more pissed off. Husband is sneaking around like he has a mistress on the side. And sure enough he does. A mistress called Amway. He’s out of the house for endless hours attending Amway meetings sneaking back in the house in the early morning hours after we’ve gone to sleep. He’s spending money like crazy on his mistress. Money he doesn’t have so he uses a line of credit, home equity loan, or credit cards. You know when he whips out the plastic he pretends he’s not really paying for it. After all it is a pretend business. That is until the bills roll in and then paying back real money you owe is not so pretend any more.

After awhile the wife has had enough. She never sees her husband and their bank account is diminishing while their debt is going through the roof. “Choose your mistress or choose me.” Fortunately most men come to their senses and realize for all their hard work, time, and effort they are not getting the money back that was dangled in front of them when they were first looking into this exciting business opportunity and they stop going to Amway meetings and throwing away their money.

That’s the short version of every wife’s horror tale about their husband’s Amway mistress.

I was lucky that my Ambot came to his senses. This was because he’d had enough of the upline’s abuse and his realization that the promised money just was not there. He left his Amway mistress. All the people who promised to be his good friends forever and ever abandoned him. That might have been the hardest thing. He actually liked these people and thought they liked him. Wrong. They only liked his money because he was helping make their dreams come true.

How Can You Be So Dumb To Quit Amway?

A recent searcher - clearly a dumb ass brainwashed Amway IBO - recently found their way to my blog after doing a search for “how can you be so dumb to quit Amway”.

They ended up at this post http://marriedtoanambot.blogspot.com/2011/11/amway-is-best-business-opportunity-in.html where I wrote that if you are an Amway IBO then you probably have been brainwashed to believe that Amway is the best business opportunity in the world. I figured for sure the ambot was going to leave me some canned Amspeak words of bullshit but they must have seen their predecessor on the receiving end of some Anna Banana style punishment and quietly moved along.

Amway cult leaders prey on all kinds of people usually disadvantaged but one of their best prospects are working people who do not like their jobs. These people might detest their jobs but have not been able to secure employment elsewhere due to lack of skills, age, transportation, etc. They believe there is nothing else out there for them. They are good prospects because Amway cult leaders know these people have an income and possibly credit cards and can bullshit them along in the Amway scam for a while and get them to buy Amway products and tools. They pump these people up telling them they now own their own business. At the same time the cult leaders poison these workers against their jobs by sneering at them because they have a J.O.B. - Just Over Broke - and that’s all they’ll ever be unless they’re an Amway “Independent Business Owner”. The brainwashing is not complete until the ambot believes that they are better than everyone else because they are in Amway and everyone else who is not in Amway is a loser. A broke loser. And anyone who quits Amway is a loser and a quitter and their dream wasn’t big enough. Ambots have negative bad attitudes and one way or another they’re not going to last much longer at their detested job anyway. But for a brief period they fully believe that Amway is the only thing out there for them to escape a job they dislike.

The bigger question is “how can you be so dumb to stay in Amway?”

The Amway pyramid scheme only makes money for the people at the top of the pyramid - Diamonds - who make the bulk of their income from selling motivational CDs and books and selling tickets to functions where they speak at. They make commission every time an IBO in their downline purchases Amway products. Chump change compared to the income from the tool scam. Amway’s own literature shows that less than 1% of IBO’s will make money at this business. That’s over 99% failure rate. Most people are not dumb enough to get into any business with a huge failure rate. That’s where the cult leaders come in to brainwash the ambots into believing they will be that longshot who actually makes money at Amway and that the figures Amway puts out are a worse case scenario and that in 6 months you’ll be making 100k. Sell the hope not the soap!

If an ambot is dumb enough to stick it out in Amway for any length of time they will undoubtedly go into debt of some sort - either credit cards or bank loans. They may have their house foreclosed after skipping a few mortgage payments after counselling with upline who advised them to skip payment and use the money to go to an Amway function instead. Dumb move wondering every morning when they wake up if today is the day they’ll be evicted thanks to Amway. Bankruptcy is the next possibility. And because most marriages can’t withstand this kind of stress the next step will be divorce.

The people who quit Amway are not the dumb ones. The Amway quitters are smart and brave and have probably averted certain disaster that many ambots fall victim to.

Why I Can't Stand Our Upline

I thought I’d cover some reasons why I couldn't stand our upline. Thanks to my upline I grew to really hate Amway and anything to do with Amway. This is based on my experiences but I see too many similar stories all over the Internet. That tells me I am not unique! No matter how much I think I am! Ha ha!
1. Our sponsor is one of the biggest assholes I have ever met! Our sponsor, aka Captain Fuck Up aka the arrogant prick, is someone Ambot has known for years. He is the most useless piece of shit sorriest excuse for taking up space on the planet that anyone could ever imagine. Besides being arrogant some of his other finer points are he’s unreliable, irresponsible, stomps off in temper tantrums, and is asshole ugly. From there it goes downhill! Its a really bad idea to be sponsored into Amway by a rotten bad ass fucker like him. Existing problems with this jerk ass only worsened. Bad bad idea getting involved in anything - whether it be Amway or anything else - with a miserable bastard like him who I've never wanted anything to do with. The resentment only grows.

2. Loss of money. We had already tried the Amway thing before. I knew exactly what would happen again. We’d throw a lot of money away buying expensive products that I don’t like and don’t use. We’d throw away even more money on various tools to “grow our business” and all the various expenses that go along with travelling to out of state functions several times a year. If I was lucky our losses would be a few thousand dollars until Ambot ran out of money or became disenchanted again. If I was unlucky the losses would run into the tens of thousands. I estimate $700/month to throw at investing into the Amway nightmare. How many people have that kind of disposable cash lying around? If not, see number 3.

3. Going into debt. This could be credit card debt as in Ambot’s case. Other people take out second mortgages on their homes or lines of credit. Any way you look at it IBO’s are borrowing money to fund their upline’s dreams and many former IBO’s have lost their homes and declared bankruptcy when they can’t repay the money they borrowed for the great Amway opportunity.

4. Loss of time. Forget the often touted 10 to 15 hours a week - Ambot wasted way more time than that! His upline ordered him to prospect every person he ran into and tell them about this kick ass home based opportunity where everyone can make at least $70,000/year in their spare time. Ha ha! Not us or anyone else we knew! Ambot's mission turned into begging everyone we knew and did not know to come to a board plan meeting all the while denying it has anything to do with Amway. He spent hours on the phone and text messages with upline. Two or three board plans each week at various downline/crossline houses or it might be a larger function where a Diamond comes to town once or twice a month. Lowball estimate 5 hours a night for these meetings. Weekend rallies happen about once a month where a Diamond comes to town and new pins are awarded. Depends if its a one or 2 day event. Say at least 10 hours but that could be doubled. Family Reunion, Free Enterprise Days, and Spring Leadership always seem to be held hundreds of miles away. Several hours driving each way and then at least 30 hours tied up for weekend events. And that’s a conservative estimate. I'd say the actual hour count was a minimum of 100 hours invested in Amway and the fucking upline's demands. All that time spent with Amway related events means normal people activities such as birthdays, weddings, spending time with family and friends, outings, vacations, shopping, etc are taboo until Ambot makes it real big in Amway. It looks like I forgot to mention the lack of support with household chores.

5. I really couldn't stand the upline. However I recognize that this dislike is more closely connected to the general dislike of our asshole sponsor and any people he might associate with. But eventually I grew to dislike our upline especially when it became out of control the way they monopolized Ambot's time. And money. And money. And money. And money. Oh did I mention money? But mostly I was just pissed off at all the bullshit spouting out of our upline’s mouths. I didn't want to have anything to do with those fucking liars.

6. Brainwashing. This is part of our upline’s strategy to separate Ambot from “negative” forces in his life which included me because of my lack of interest in Amway and our upline. The crazy thing is our upline were the most negative bastards around spreading their predictions of doom and gloom and misery and the only way to escape this horrible existence is belonging to the Amway cult. And yes absolutely through our association with World Wide Destructive Bastards I was in a line of sponsorship that abuses IBO’s and uses cult-like brainwashing techniques, so fuck you WWDB! Ambot stopped thinking for himself and parroting everything the upline said. Ambot accepted everything the upline said as the truth until he became so conditioned to think this way that there was no way in hell he would ever accept that the information he received from his beloved upline could be wrong. He denied what was happening to himself and his life and under the upline's brainwashing control he separated himself from reality.

7. Deception. Call it whatever you want - all IBO’s are guilty of lying. Our upline were typical Amway IBO's - a bunch of lying bastards. They lied about their affiliation with Amway, their success, and any abuses that might be happening in our group. The upline refused to believe the big lie about the tool scam and how the greedy Diamonds were obsessed with making money at the expense of their downline. Ambot wasn’t too good at prospecting because he’d break down quickly and tell prospects that this was Amway and then he’d lie and say everything’s going really good. All IBO’s are conditioned to say that even though none of them are making money at their Amway business. Its really annoying to listen to  Ambot not being truthful when I knew damn well he wasn't making any money at the Amway scheme. As we all know the opposite was true. Losing thousands of dollars.

Add everything up and these are reasons why I could not stand our upline and/or Amway and why this caused trouble in our marriage.
I hated hearing from brainwashed IBO’s who parroted the upline and claimed “That’s because there is already something wrong with your marriage/relationship”. The standard answer whenever a spouse doesn’t want anything to do with Amway.

But not one of those fucking IBO’s can explain why there were no existing problems before Amway entered the picture.

Our upline were nothing but a bunch of fucking troublemakers!

Davidicus sending prank email to Amway. Hilarious!

I came across this web page with a prank email written by Davidicus to various employees at Amway. In typical Amway fashion they keep passing the buck to someone else to deal with it.

I have no idea if this is a real exchange of emails or if Davidicus has scripted all this but either way its hilarioius. It starts off slow but gets funny fast. Here's one of my favorite passages. The link to the web page is at the bottom. Enjoy!

Mary,

Chad, the IBO I met at the neighborhood potluck, told me that Amway was a path to achieving my dreams. But my dream is to NOT work. And becoming a business owner requires work. Chad also told me that with the money he earned through his business he'd built a dungeon in his basement for adult invite-only parties. I don't know what he meant by that. But I was definitely interested in contacting you folks about achieving my dreams.

Owning a business sounds like a great way to earn super fast money. But would I be allowed to sublet my business so I don't have to actually work? Also, does Amway sell leather products?

Every time I try to talk to Chad he keeps bringing up his invite-only parties. And he stands too close to me.

Thanks!
Davidicus

Amway is the Best Business Opportunity in the World! According to one IBO....

So what did you all do? Go back to jobs without any security? Amway is the best business opportunity in the world.

The above gem is part of a comment a brainwashed ambot left on my post about Amway CDs and tapes http://marriedtoanambot.blogspot.com/2010/11/amway-tapes-and-cds.html

His entire comment was full of the usual amspeak bullshit that every brainwashed ambot who feels compelled to leave a comment on my blog uses. How original. Not!

As for the “Amway is the best business opportunity in the world” promotion I included it here so that everyone can shake their heads at his stupidity. Also I think his quote is something that I can see brainwashed ambots searching for. Seeing as how my blog gets thousands of hits a month and I’m high on the search engines for just about everything some brainwashed IBO can possibly search for, I’m taking advantage of these key words to propel myself to the top of the search engine pages for this one too. Probably not what that little bastard had in mind but oh well. That’s what happens when you leave a comment anonymously you can’t go back and delete it.

Hmmm....I went back to a job without security after we quit Amway? Nope. My husband and I now had more time to concentrate on our own business and have more free time together instead of wasting time at Amway meetings and being bored by ambots. We also have more money in our bank accounts and no longer have to worry about running up more credit card debt trying to fund the Amway dream of financial independence.

That comment about jobs with no security came straight from an Amway meeting. Full of doom and gloom. There’s nothing else out there except for the Amway business opportunity (gotta get more keywords in!). To further punctuate it the Amway cult leader preaches that there are no jobs out there with job security. Certainly there are occupations out there where job security is a thing of the past. With the computer age and technology jobs have been eliminated. Some industries shut down and have a trickle down effect to other jobs in the community. There are many people in service positions whose jobs likely won’t be eliminated. For all that rotten little ambot knows I drive an ambulance and as long as people need to be transported for medical attention I have a job.

At least 95% of IBO’s who sign up with Amway lose money and quit within the first two years. What kind of security is that? Paying your Amway employer hundreds of dollars every month and barely making any money back in commission. Always at a net loss.

What kind of security is there in getting involved with a scam?

It never fails to amaze me how every ambot out there thinks that everyone else, especially me, has a job. And how they always accuse us of working a job for someone else like that is a horrible, evil thing to do. As far as I’m concerned nothing else could be more horrible or evil than Amway! It is apparently inconceivable to brainwashed ambots that there are people in the world who do not have jobs working for someone else. Many people do have employers and there’s nothing wrong with that, unless of course you’re an ambot and sneering at them. Other people are self employed, own businesses, unemployed, medically incapable of working, or live off their investments. Amway ambots refuse to accept that there are tons of reasons why not everybody has an employer and is working a job.

When ambots quit Amway they better hope they have a job or your own business or some other kind of income to support them and pay off some of the debt they accrued thanks to Amway.

As for going back to a job without any security, if I had the choice between finding a job or getting involved with Amway again I’d take the job option. Its called choosing the lesser of two evils.

Amway IBO’s are Commissioned Salespeople

One of the biggest arguments that people being prospected by an Amway IBO come up with are that they are not salespeople and are not interested in being a salesperson. The brainwashed IBO fights back with the response that Amway is not about selling: register, set up a store, buy from your own store, convince family and friends to shop at your Amway store, and sign up others to join Amway and teach them to do what you do.

Yeah almost anything looks possible on paper but the reality of trying to get it off the ground is another story.

Ambots argue they Amway is not a pyramid scheme because they have actual products for sale. Overpriced, substandard products, but nevertheless an actual product for sale.

Amway’s own sales figures show that less than 4% of their sales are to people who are not registered IBO’s so the other 96% are IBO’s who are self consuming their own products or inventory loading. When the IBO’s are not self consuming their own products or inventory loading they are on a rabid quest to recruit others to do the same thing.

Self consuming, inventory loading, recruiting new cult followers. Pyramid scheme!

I argued with Ambot that I am not a salesperson therefore Amway is not a good business choice for us. I don’t have a sales type personality like many people who are not comfortable approaching a stranger and striking up a conversation and hope to sell them a house, a car, or a pair of shoes. Our upline told us we didn’t have to be good salespeople to make our riches in Amway. That was one of many lies told to us. Amway “independent business owners” are really commissioned salespeople and to some extent everyone has to sell either the Amway business module or Amway products.

Or those who can’t do either self consume and inventory load Amway products so they can get the PV and into a higher bonus bracket for paltry commission checks from Amway.

Ambot had been brainwashed by his upline to believe he didn’t have to sell Amway products to make it big in the business which is what he tried to convince me. What!? What do all those fucking board plans say? You make your money in Amway buying their products and recruiting other people who will also buy Amway products. You have to be good at selling Amway products and good at selling the business opportunity to convince someone else to pay $150 to sign up and spend $300 month buying Amway products to consume. In other words be good at selling hope and dreams. You have to also be good at motivating any downline you sign up not to quit and to keep buying Amway products and investing in the tool scam.

Seeing as how I’m  not good at selling I was unable to sell Ambot on the truth that he was really a commissioned salesperson in a futile business venture. Nobody wants to buy Amway’s shitty overpriced products and no one wants to join the Amway cult. That has nothing to do with his sales ability. Its just that he’s chosen a lousy product to believe in and a lot of people in the states are already aware of the Amway scam.

Amway’s shitty reputation for overpriced substandard products and cult similarities makes it really hard to sell others on this poor business opportunity no matter how good a salesperson you are.

The Henchman Ain’t Done Yet!

Ambot and I were probably the first IBO’s to check in at our hotel for the WWDB Spring Leadership function. We’d left home early, spent all day driving and got there early evening. After putting our luggage in the room we headed over to Barnes & Noble to get a book I wanted to read and then out for dinner. IBO’s were arriving by the time we got back to the hotel.

The two employees working the hotel counter looked frazzled. And no wonder. They were dealing with the Platinum’s henchman. I gather there’d been a number of no shows and the problem was the henchman had been screwing around with people’s hotel reservations on the WWDB blocked rooms like he’d tried to do with Ambot. Except now he was on the hook because he’d used his own credit card to guarantee the rooms when he was so busy reassigning everyone and now he was holding empty hotel rooms with no live bodies to put in them and he was arguing with the staff about how his credit card was being charged for the empty rooms. He arrived too late to cancel the rooms and incurred a one night fee on all of them.

To give the henchman credit - or lack thereof - I doubt the asshole thought about messing around with hotel rooms all on his own. The only possible reason he’d have done this was on the direct orders of the sack of shit Platinum who must have decided they better have empty rooms available for the dozens of guests and prospects they’d been so sure were going to make the pilgrimage to attend Spring Leadership and see what this awesome Amway business opportunity was all about. Except the prospects/newbies were all no shows leaving the henchman with a hotel bill for quite a few empty rooms that he was trying to argue about with the staff who were charging him $100 x number of rooms for one night’s cancellation policy. Most hotels have a policy that you use a credit card to guarantee your room if you plan to arrive late, say after 6pm. That way the hotel will hold the room for you all night instead of selling it to someone who walks in off the street. If you don’t show up or fail to cancel the room before the cut off time your credit card will be charged for one night’s stay.

I’m not sure how that turned out but I hope the hotel stuck to their guns and didn’t reverse the credit card charge. Would serve the henchman right. I mean what a dumb ass thing to do. Serves the bastard right for listening to the dumb ass Platinum!

Oh and interestingly enough the sack of shit Platinum was staying at another hotel that he deemed to be a better hotel. The only IBO’s “allowed” to stay at that other hotel were those making it in the business, not the rest of us lowly bastards. Ha ha, him and his wife were sharing a room with at least one other couple that we knew of, maybe more. I guess that kills the mood if romance is in the air! Or I suppose it heightens the mood if orgy is in the air! Damn if I’d known he was staying at the other hotel I’d have booked a room there just to piss off the bastard!

And to chalk up another hotel room getting charged to the henchman’s credit card!

Yeah! Amway WWDB Spring Leadership sucks!!!!
