Who remembers Quixtar?

A few years ago Amway changed its name to Quixtar. I’m not sure when but I’ll throw out 2000 give or take a couple of years. I know our first round of Amway hell in 2000 the name was Quixtar but I don’t know for sure when the name change happened because it was already in effect.

There seemed to be a couple of rumors why the name changed to Quixtar. One of the rumors had to do with inheritance tax that the children of the Amway owners were taking over and by changing the name and creating a new company they could avoid or lessen their taxes. I don’t know if that is true - the part about getting out of paying taxes. I have no idea. Its what we were told by the upline.

The other theory - and the more likely one - the name change was to get away from Amway’s bad image. Creating the new name Quixtar would take people awhile longer to figure out that it had something to do with Amway. Rebranding themselves with a new name and a new image. It might have worked if the greedy bastards had priced their products to be competitive with other products in the marketplace and if they’d gotten rid of the troublemakers and the tool scam. But no. Not an option when you’re driven by greed!

Ambot got involved again around the time the name change back to Amway was announced. Its now been a few years since Amway has been referred to as Quixtar.

The fact that the name has changed a few years ago doesn’t seem to stop people from searching for Quixtar.

So you know what that means! Keywords! I am still getting searches for Quixtar function 2012 or Quixtar Spring Leadership and spelled Quickstar. Let me spell it wrong again just in case. Quikstar. Quiktar. Quickstar. Quick Star. Quix Star. How many ways can that word be spelled?

Call it what you want. Amway. Alticor. Quixtar. WWDB World Wide Dream Builder functions. It all adds up to one thing = SCAMWAY!!!

I had a brainwashed ambot from Markham, Ontario show up to my blog after doing a Google search for “Amway top sites on the Internet”. My blog is the #4 spot for that search criteria. The bigwigs at Amway must love that!

For some bizarre reason Amway IBO rats have this overwhelming need to slink out of their sewer and spread their goodwill and promote their company by spreading around their positive Amway IBO image.

you are just a negative old hag that clearly had a bad experience and just want to let out your disbelief that anyone else can do something you CAN"T. And had you actually used amway's products, you'd see that almost NOTHING on the market can compare. Just try removing a coffee stain from a carpet using commercial items and then Amways's L.O.C products. there's no way i believe you've used it. In fact I mentioned something in my post the other day about Amway salespeople and their bad attitudes towards others. You’ll be very happy to know that I have regular readers from Amway/Alticor in Ada and Grand Rapids Michigan and occasional readers from other Alticor branches. I don’t drink coffee and I have hardwood and tile floors therefore it would be physically impossible for me to spill coffee on my carpet! So you’re right I’ve never used LOC carpet cleaner. I can hardly help it that you’re such a klutz you need to stock up on Amway’s overpriced shitty cleaning products! Have you ever considered pulling out that coffee stained carpet and putting in some quality hard flooring that can stand up to all the coffee you’re spilling everywhere. Makes clean up so much easier and cheaper. Just grab a sponge or a towel and mop it up.

My poor broke ass can sit and work and complain? Let’s see. Another brainwashed ambot going around accusing people who are not in Amway of being broke and working a job. Sorry to disappoint you but I haven’t held a job in years. Me broke? Our business brings in more annually than what the average Diamond according to Amway’s literature earns. If you think someone who earns more money than a Diamond is “broke” then that shows what a low negative opinion you have of your cult leaders finances. Though you’re probably not too far off in your lowball broke estimate! If Amway Diamonds are broker than I am you might want to reconsider your career choice and find something where you won’t be as broke as a Diamond.

Amway Treats Their Employees Like Shit?

Its no secret that Amway and upline IBO’s treat downline ambots like shit but what about Amway’s employees? Are the people who work for the various Amway and Alticor  offices and distribution warehouses and plants treated like shit too?

One would think a big company that claims to make billions of dollars a year and claims to be debt free would offer its employees a benefit program. Health, dental, eyeglasses, chiropractor, 401k or some kind of pension or retirement savings or stock options.

Maybe they do offer benefits to a select few employees. There are nasty companies out there who don’t give all employees benefits (I’ve worked for a couple of those!) and call employees temporary or part time so they can get out of paying benefits. Some of those employees have been around for years and might be working 40 hours a week but their employer won’t adjust their status to permanent due to whatever loophole they’ve discovered to avoid paying the extra money towards benefits.

I’ve worked for companies much smaller, say about 50 people or so, and got an excellent benefits package. All employees including part time got benefits. Some companies do treat all their employees well.

I recently had a former employee of Amway in Ada Michigan show up to say they’d left Amway after 20 years because they could no longer take their cult bullshit. Claims they’ve had record sales in the past 10 years. Who knows? Could be Amway’s bullshit propaganda and manipulating the books. Anyway the employees got nothing. No benefits. No bonuses. Treated like shit. But what else do you expect when you sign up with a scumbag employer who’s agenda is to rip people off with overpriced shitty products and cause financial and emotional distress to every life it affects.

And that is bullshit. There are a lot of companies who do profit sharing or some kind of bonus if sales are over the projection.

No wonder this former Amway employee refers to their former employer as a greedy ass.

And then I get further proof that Amway the employer is a greedy asshole. When it comes to Christmas and if it falls on a Sunday, businesses that are normally closed on Sunday typically take a day off on Monday instead and make it a 3 day long weekend. This past year 2011 December 25 fell on a Sunday. Around here a lot of businesses were closed on Monday December 26. Government employees, office employees, bank employees, etc. Retail stores, groceries, and gas stations were all open. Most of those businesses were closed on Christmas Day though. No different than anywhere else across the nation. Employers who actually care about their staff gave them a nice 3 day long weekend. So on Monday morning December 26 I get a visitor from Grand Rapids Alticor. Some really pissed off Amway employee who is working on Monday December 26 is fucking around surfing the Internet looking for dirt about their shitty employer instead of actually getting their work done. Ha ha! This employee is so fucking pissed off at its employer Amway keeping the office open for business on Monday December 26 instead of generously giving their employees a day off and a 3 day weekend like most other businesses who are normally closed on Sundays that s/he is getting revenge on Amway by not getting their work done. Really! As far as I’m concerned it takes a really lousy shitty bad ass employer to open their doors on December 26 following a weekend Christmas Day instead of doing what nice generous companies who care about their employees do and giving them an extra day off to spend with their families.

But this is Amway we’re talking about here. A company that is responsible for destroying families. I can see why they don’t give a shit about wanting their employees to have extra family time on their nickel.

But you know these insider glimpses got me thinking about the contact I’ve had with Amway employees and here I’ve only dealt with the customer service department which I refer to as the I-don’t-give-a-shit department. I get it that 80% of employees at any company barely like or really despise their employer and their job and without a doubt the only people I’ve dealt with at Amway have been in that 80%, maybe the bottom 20% of the ones who really hate working there. But with the former employee’s insight about the way the employees are treated I’m going to raise the bar and suggest that it is way more than 20% of Amway’s employees who hate working there. I mean that’s really shitty not to have any benefits when you see the lifestyle of the person who owns the company. I can see how that leads to a lot of angry employees. Not to mention no benefits and no extra day off for the Christmas weekend and I can understand there are a lot of angry Amway employees out there who must want to give a big old fuck you to their employer.

Angry employees = the fuck off attitude IBO’s get when they phone Amway head office for assistance.

Searchers finding my blog over Christmas

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

I hope no one found any Amway shit under their Christmas tree!

I checked my search stats for the past couple of days and I've had some interesting searches.

Starting with Christmas Eve day in the morning. Somebody types in "Amway Kosage fucking asshole". Hmmm, I'm going out on a limb here and suggesting this is somebody who did NOT get an invitation to Dean Kosage's Christmas party! That searcher ended up at my June 2011 archive page so someone must have left a comment relating to Kosage and there are plenty of references in my posts to Amway IBO's being fucking assholes so no big surprise that my blog is number 1 if anyone is typing in that search criteria.

Then it got a little sadder later in the day, actually closer to midnight where a searcher typed in that their daughter is involved in the Amway cult. Its always sad whenever a family member gets involved in this horrible cult and is brainwashed and loses their money and separates themselves from their family and friends. This unhappy parent spent a couple of hours on Christmas Eve into early Christmas morning reading a lot of my posts. I hope it brought this person some comfort knowing they aren't alone in the pain they're going through watching someone they love having their life destroyed by Amway. I know people get a lot of pleasure living vicariously through my blog and how I curse out my upline. I am cursing out everyone's upline! Apparently this person's daughter blew them off on Christmas to devote more time to the great Amway cult and their beloved cult leaders. Very sad.

And then oddly enough on Christmas Day I get a huge amount of searchers looking for information on how to quit Amway and a couple for how to cancel Communikate! Woo hoo! Some ambots are giving their family the BEST Christmas present ever by quitting the horrible evil Amway cult!

And then this morning I get some Amway employee from Alticor in Grand Rapids going through some of my posts: the youtube Amway neighbor video, the post about how our Platinum screws over Amway, worst Amway items to find under the Christmas tree, and a couple of other posts that are about search criteria people use who end up at my blog.

Nothing too unusual about this because quite often I get Amway employees from Grand Rapids or Ada or Buena Park screwing around on the job and surfing on the Internet when one would presume they should actually be getting some work done.

What really sucks is that they are working today. When Christmas falls on a Sunday, businesses who are not normally open on Sundays (banks, offices, government employees, etc) take Monday off. Around here all the chain stores are open and the gas stations and grocery stores but everything else is pretty much shut down.

It takes a really shitty employer to make their employees come in to work on Monday December 26 when Christmas Day fell on a Sunday. That pretty much sums up the attitude of a former Amway employee who showed up to my blog and basically said Amway the employer treats their employees like shit. The fact that I can verify an Amway employee is working today is all the proof we need about how Amway treats their employees.

A lump of coal to those lousy bosses who pull the same shit as Amway and have their employers come in to work today!

Qualifications For Getting an Amway Customer Service Job

I get a lot of hits from a reader(s) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Most of them are affiliated with Alticor/Amway. They love Anna Banana! Gotta get their daily dose!

The other day I got a hit from someone in Grand Rapids searching how to get a customer service job with Amway.

My first thought is what kind of scum sucking low life son of a bitch wants to work for a company that is responsible for destroying lives, causing financial distress, bankruptcies, debt, divorces, etc, etc. Then I remember the other day I was watching the news and there was a segment about people who got laid off from their jobs two years ago, three years ago and some of them are desperate to accept any kind of job. So I shouldn’t judge some poor unfortunate soul who is so desperate to get a job that they’d apply to Scamway. Desperation causes people to lower themselves to accept jobs with shitty companies just to get a paycheck.

Average companies have 20% of their employees that actually like their job, 60% who don’t give a shit one way or another its just a job, and 20% who hate their jobs. Thats how it is. Average companies have 80% of their employees, some who might like their job but mostly its just a paycheck, who would leave their company in a second if they found a better job somewhere else. I’ve dealt with Amway’s customer service department and I can tell you that I was obviously dealing with people in the 80%! I have a clear picture of what the qualifications are to get a job as an Amway customer service employee so hopefully this list will help if Grand Rapids job searcher comes back to my blog.

Qualifications to get a job as an Amway customer service agent:

1. Ability to be nasty to others
2. Good at lying
3. Poor communication skills
4. Don’t give a shit about helping others
5. Poor problem solving ability
6. Argumentative
7. Not looking for long term employment
8. Arrogant
9. Hate talking to people
10. No experience necessary and we don’t train
11. Have a rotten personality
12. Be discourteous to customers
13. Hate holding down a job
14. Unhelpful
15. Inappropriate time management skills
16. Inability to complete tasks
17. Ineffective customer follow up
18. Clock watchers
19. No particular desire to move up in the company
20. Refuse to do anything that requires immediate attention

SANDRA - You're a fucking liar! But what else do we expect from people involved in Amway? You came to my blog after searching for "Amway convention 2011 Las Vegas". Yeah right keep trying to convince us that you're not part of any group but only a brainwashed ambot would do that kind of search. This was the only one of my topics you read, nothing else in my blog. Life is wonderful as long as you're not involved in Amway.

She came back around 12:30 to see if her comment was published and if I’d responded to her. You think she went to the link Joecool provided? Unlikely.

People who own their own business want to get their name out there say who they are and what they do and drum up business. Not so with IBO’s. They’re too embarrassed to say they’re with Amway. Denial, denial. Lies and more lies.

They’ll bullshit prospects with some line about an online store or Internet distribution or some highly technical industry they’re involved in and want to meet for coffee. At the coffee shop they’ll show the Amway business plan all the while denying it has anything to do with Amway if they’re asked outright. Ultimately they want to get their prospect to a meeting run by their upline Platinum cult leader to close the sale and get them to sign up as an IBO.

I’ve been to enough Amway meetings that I know it takes the speaker at least an hour to say the A word. Some meetings Amway isn’t mentioned at all.

Do depressed people read my blog? Sure people who are depressed about losing their money in the Amway scam come here. People who are depressed because Amway has destroyed relationships with family and friends come to my blog. Reading me cursing out my upline might make them feel a little better. Knowing that they’re not alone helps them feel better. A person who is clinically depressed and has no connection to Amway is unlikely to randomly find my blog.

Nobody finds my blog unless they’ve done a few things. They were either on another blog written by a former IBO and followed a link to my blog or they did a search for something related to Amway and found my blog. Or they work for Amway Alticor offices in Michigan, California, Texas or Germany and have me bookmarked.

A person who does a Google search for “Amway convention 2011 Las Vegas” is not randomly pulling those words out of a hat. The only group of people using this search criteria has some interest in this function which means they’re either an Amway IBO planning to attend and looking for information or if the function has ended they’re searching online for glowing reviews written by other IBO’s who attended the brainwashing session. Someone who has no interest in Amway is not going to randomly choose those words and go to Google and do a search.

Writing “I am not part of any group” after doing a search for the Amway 2011 Las Vegas convention is an outright lie and makes you look like a fucking idiot like we need any further proof that Amway IBO’s are liars! The group you’re part of is Amway otherwise you wouldn’t have done this kind of search. Why lie about it? Because you’re too embarrassed to admit you’re with Amway.

Seeing as how one of the criteria to be an IBO is to be good at lying Sandra further lies that she read my blog. Nope. Only that one page about quitting Amway during Spring Leadership.

“Gosh I should be death instead”. Well some people do compare being involved in Amway as death. On the other hand many people end up at my blog by doing a search for something like death to Amway or death to Amway salesmen so stating you should be death is something that a lot of people would agree with. Better dead than being in Amway.

Once people quit Amway they realize that there is a better life out there. Life without Amway is wonderful. Life with Amway is hell.

Who cares about Amway?

Seeing as how ambots throw around the phrase “who cares” all the time to prove that they are uncaring, greedy bastards - such wonderful characteristics for a human being to have - I thought I’d throw out “who cares about Amway?”

That’ll make those brainwashed IBO’s shit their pants! How dare some lowly blogger insult the company that is going to make them millionaires!

Even though IBO’s throw out “who cares” just as fast as the money is draining out of their bank accounts, think of the horror and astonishment as they accept the possibility that there are actually people in the world who don’t care about Amway.

You’d think that Amway the company would care about their bad reputation but they don’t care otherwise they’d be doing something to improve their public opinion so the who cares attitude comes right from head office. I know that the two or three times I had to contact Amway’s unhelpful customer service desk I was met with a who cares attitude. Amway made it very clear to me that they do not care what is said at Amway meetings. If Amway’s head office doesn’t care what is said at Amway meetings then who does care?  

Probably only us bloggers who get the word out there about what really happens at Amway meetings and the lies told to downline at the Amway meetings are the ones who care. We care about others and don’t want to see this “who cares” company and their cult leaders destroy any more lives.

If Amway was just any other company selling overpriced substandard products there probably wouldn’t be a whole lot of Internet interest about them. Oh there’d be customer reviews about the shitty Amway products and warning away other consumers but for the most part people would move on and find a similar lower priced product that they like better.

Amway is hardly the only company out there offering overpriced shitty products. The typical consumer reaction if they don’t like the prices, the quality, the service is to find another store they like better.

As we all know selling shitty overpriced products is not Amway’s only contribution to society. They are also responsible for bringing misery to thousands of people’s lives: debt, home foreclosure, bankruptcy, divorces, destroyed relationships.

Amway doesn’t care about any of the people whose lives they’ve destroyed. If Amway actually cared they would offer former IBO’s full refunds for every nickel they’ve had to spend on Amway products and tools. If Amway really cared about people they’d assist former IBO’s on getting their lives returned to normal both financially and emotionally.

So how about it Amway - a big shout out to my reader from Alticor in Ada. My opinion of your company would be a hell of a lot better if you took that $40 million you used to buy the 10 year rights to have your name on the arena in Orlando and put it back to the people whose lives you’ve destroyed.

But Amway does not care.

The reason the public doesn’t care about Amway has less to do with their shitty overpriced substandard products and more to do with the outrageous behavior of IBO’s. IBO’s are professional liars. They trick people into coming to Amway meetings. The prospect for customers at Barnes & Noble after being told not to bug patrons in that book store. IBO’s are ruthless in their pursuit of destroying other people’s lives and when confronted about how their attitude has gone down the toilet since they signed up with Amway their attitude is “who cares”.

And there you have it. The reason the population doesn’t care about Amway has less to do with the shitty overpriced products this company sells and has everything to do with the shitty who cares attitude of IBO’s and the destruction the Amway cult leaders bring to other people’s lives. IBO’s are the reason that Amway’s public image suffers. Will Amway ever do anything to encourage their IBO’s to have a more positive, caring outlook towards everyone and everything? Unlikely when the corporation can’t even do it themselves.

Who cares?

Amway is one of the Top 2 Environmental Companies in the World?

I have several notebooks lying around. Mostly I use them for ripping out papers for grocery lists or to write an address or phone number down on. As luck would have it these notebooks never happen to be handy when I actually need a piece of paper but occasionally I find one of them tucked away in a drawer.

I found one! Only to remember how much it really ticked me off when Ambot borrowed whatever handy notebook he could find so he be a good little IBO and take notes at Amway meetings. Gotta get that bullshit written down! Geez wasn’t the tape recorder good enough for recording for eternity the Amway lies? There’s a page where he took notes of a board plan our Emerald was giving and I’m ready to rip that page out of my  notebook but now that I’m fully aware of the Amway scam curiosity makes me glance at it and see what lies the cult followers were being treated to that night.

For now I’ve decided to keep the notebook intact because I can see its giving me subject matter for future posts.

The Emerald makes the declaration that Amway is one of the top 2 environmental companies in the world.

Yeah right I’m sure it is! Here’s the thing. Who would dare question upline? The ambots have been brainwashed to believe everything the cult leaders say is the truth. All other points of view are lies. Except they’re probably really the truth and the cult leaders don’t want their followers to know.

So I hit Google to find out who are the top 2 environmental companies in the world.

A company called Engineering News Record is the top hit and has a list of the top 200 environmental companies in the world. CH2M Hill Ltd is number one. Bechtel is number 2. Wait! How can that be? Our cult leader said Amway is in the top 2! Its like a conspiracy! Someone is out to prove the Emerald is a fucking liar!

Oh. That would be me. Ha ha!

Number one is Vestas Wind Systems. Hmm. Ok who is number 2? Svenska Cellulosa. Interesting. Not only is Amway or Alticor not in the top 2 but this is a different top 2 from the Engineering News Record. The list shows only the top 20 but you can search a company’s name to see if its in the top 500. I tried Alticor and Amway. Guess what? Not there!

It looks like no reporting agency can agree on the world’s top 2 environmental companies. However they can all agree that Amway or Alticor or Quixtar are nowhere on their lists.

It would appear that Amway exists as one of the top 2 world’s leading environmental companies only in Amway’s fantasy world. What do they do - gather their employees, get them drunk, conduct a survey and then hand out the fake results to the cult leaders to get this information out to the masses?

Oh why not? How many ways can they scam their cult followers?

The problem is when they come up against someone who can’t stand their upline and researches the truth and writes it down in a blog to make them look like a bunch of assholes.

And now we all know the truth.

Amway app

Someone did a search for an Amway app and ended up at my blog.

My first thought was you have to be kidding me and then I headed to the iTunes store to see if such a monster really exists.

Yup it does.

Type Amway in the search box and it brings up a few hits for Amway apps - some free, some paid, some may have nothing to do with Amway. There are also some Amway podcasts to subscribe to. I have no idea if they’re free or paid.

The top hit Amway app looks like it is probably sanctioned by Amway because the seller is listed as Alticor. Interesting that a seller is listed when its supposedly a free app. We all know by now when it comes to Amway NOTHING is free.

There are 2 reviews. I love the one who said he downloaded the app for his iPad but every time he tries it the app just closes. Now that can’t be a bad thing!

Its an omen man! Get out of Amway!!!!

So this post really serves no purpose other than to misdirect IBO’s who are looking for info on the Amway app. If I had an iPhone I’d find better things to do with it than be tormented with an Amway app.

Miss Popularity?

The Married To An Ambot blog started out as a way for me to get a few things off my chest about my upline and totally took off in a way I never would have imagined. I have a huge readership between 200 to 500 page hits a day. This month alone just over 10,000 readers have visited my blog - and we still have a few hours to go before January is over! Sure a lot of them are repeat visitors. A lot of people find me by doing Google searches and my blog is at the top of many searches. I’ve already blogged that I’m right behind the Amway propaganda when people search for Artistry.

You’d think these statistics would be somewhat alarming to Amway especially since I have regular readers from Alticor in Ada and Buena Park and occasionally from Grand Rapids and Missouri City and even Amway Germany’s head office who just love reading about what I really think about my upline. They can see the numbers on my blog’s stat counter. Pretty good for someone who’s only been blogging for about 5 months.

But oddly enough my popularity doesn’t seem to bother Amway enough to offer me the right amount of money to just go away and stop blogging. People sell websites all the time for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Millions of dollars to sell a website. I’m open to it. Anna Banana can be bought!

I’m used to apathy from Amway head office employees. We reported our Platinum right about the time we were getting out of Amway and the official response and here I’m paraphrasing: “We’re not responsible for what is said at meetings.” To some extent that is true. People can’t be responsible for lies that someone else has uttered. But who is responsible then? Who at Amway head office will take responsibility for complaints about lies told at Amway meetings? No one! Apathy central! Platinums and higher can say whatever lies they want at Amway meetings and head office isn’t going to take any action. Even when we have it recorded. Nope. Apathy city! Not interested. Not going to rock the boat. The upline brings in lots of money. Amway head office doesn’t give a shit about pursuing complaints made about Platinums and higher and that’s probably another reason why IBO’s walk away - no support from head office! That’s why bloggers like me take to the Internet and share our stories to warn other people what lies ahead of them. Others take more extreme measures judging by the lawsuits out there.

My regular readers know we weren’t in Amway very long. We never reached any significant level. Between 100PV and 300PV each month depending on how much Ambot charged to the old credit card. We never signed up any downline other than one person who quit a couple of weeks later after getting scolded by our upline for missing a meeting. We never met anyone of significant levels either. Though the pompous sack of shit Platinum would disagree and point out he’s been [in and out of] Platinum [qualification] for years and how he’s King Shit and we should have been honored to be in his presence. However we hadn’t “earned the privilege” to meet anyone of higher levels in the Amway house of cards.

So a few months involvement, never meeting anyone significant in Amway, and not attaining any level of significance, I only have limited stories. There’s only so many ways I can tell my upline to fuck off! I think I really got a lot of it out of my system with my post Fuck You IBO! It felt so good writing that down and letting go of it!

Have my stories all been told? I wasn’t in Amway long enough to have scads of stories. I wasn’t privy to any secret meetings. I didn’t meet any king pins. Although I went to major functions, monthly rallies and about 50 living room meetings I can look back through my previous posts and see I have covered a lot of our Amway penance.

Don’t worry. I don’t plan to disappoint my readers by stopping blogging, unless of course Amway pays me the big bucks to go away. Although I might be running out of stories to keep up with the momentum of regular blog posts as something jogs my memory about a horror tale during our Amway dark days I’ll keep writing. I’m just saying I don’t know if I can keep up the posting frequency I’ve managed until now. Its one of the reasons I eventually plan to organize and turn this blog into a free ebook. Maybe this year. Maybe next.

I’ve enjoyed meeting many of you through this blog and hearing your stories and and I assure you that I’m still here trying to figure out what to write next. Its just that some weeks I might be more prolific than others.
